Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa Gold Coast Review

What a delightful place to stay. The food and hospitality is first class!

We had lunch on 27/11/20 and was very disappointed with the service, we had to wait 1hr 20mins for our order to arrive at the table.
I ordered the 300gm waggu rump steak and was not happy with the size of the steak for $66 I expected better and then I had to ask for the side dishes that were ordered.
Overall I've had better seniors meals at the RSL than what was served up I expected a lot better from a five star hotel, won't be going back again.

Nice location, halfway up to the spit. Opposite Palazzo Versace. Loading dock is a bit of a nuisance for big trucks.

Buffet dinner was average quality, but at least they had plenty of shell in the oysters.

Really disappointed with our stay due to the condition of the room (3014).
Carpets needed changing a couple of years ago and the whole room had a feel of being unsanitary.
The grand entrance is spectacular and the view of the pools leading to the ocean is amazing.
But the room was disgusting and I would not stay again.

I'm coming here just to focus on the seafood buffet and it's incredible, nice and fresh. But you should fill up food all the time.

Staff were really nice, but difficult with little kids.

A very clean and relaying resort....right next door to surf beach.

We were disappointed with our stay for a special occasion for value for money, the hotel is showing its age, furniture, phone/radios need to be updated because they don t work & the view would be ok if the windows were clean! Wouldn t stay there again! It s definitely not 5 star anymore!

Service so so though.

Excellent beach resort directly at main beach. The hotel is much more expensive on the weeked, o if you are on a budget go here from Monday to Friday. The hotel is a bit away from the crowds which is nice. You can walk for miles along the beach. There are lifeguards on the beach. As a plantinum member I got a nice upgrade and free drinks at the bar. The pool srea is also auite nice. There was sufficient space abailable. Highly recommendet! All the other hotels do not have the nice direct beach access as this one

came here for a wedding (which was perfect), however when you start to look beyond the gloss, there are some really tatty areas in this resort. What struck me most was the paint in blue 'water features' was pealing and looked bad.

We go every year to Gold Coast for holidays. Service from concierge excellent. Buffet I ate better not great variety and same hot food the 5 days in there. Bar takes ages to bring the drinks and not great selection of snacks.
Rooms amazing, comfortable and well served.
Serious problems with accounts and manager defensive to answer question. They do not make you aware of charges while you are there if you pass $1000 dollars as manager said "he just see faces but can be sure the guess will paid before leaving" highlighting that we paid all the rooms in advance, we are Marriot members and we stay in Marriots hotels frequently for business and never missed a payment.
After leaving and settling all the account we received a new charge to both my husband and I credit card. It was sorted out after talking to the hotel though.
We do not feel confident to recomend Sheraton Mirage to our friends and business people and we just can say we will be back to Gold coast as every year but to Marriot Surfers Paradise.

To be honest, we popped in for a look as we had heard so much about it. What a stunning hotel with beautiful decor. Views of the ocean can be seen from inside and it's well located next to a shopping centre with the all important McDonalds for the kids and cafes for the parents. The mariner is across the road with waterfront restaurants. If you want some fresh fish n chips, there is a convenient store (Peters) close by.

Not good for group bookings of 6. Just waited over an hour for food. Very slow, maybe related to the public holiday with limited staff.

The Mirage is located on the Spit at Southport, with stunning views of the
Ocean. Food and drink is top notch with a huge range of quality sea food from the buffet.

Nice hotel, the only problem is that the building is quite old.

7 days of absolute bliss in a wonderful Garden Suite, perfect weather to sit by the Pool and have a light lunch and be pampered by Craig, Charles , Sam and the wonderful Emily. All the staff were magnificent, kind, professional, smiling and courteous at at all times. Dinner at the Terraces Restaurant and Oyster Bar superb. Craig and Emily were absolute gems, thanks also to Steve and Scott.

We just went for breakfast, the food was good and the service was fast.

I have stayed at all the better hotels, Palazzo Versace, Marriott Resort Surfers Paradise and Sheraton Grande Mirage. The service in all these hotels is easily seen, with every staff member you bump into Gives you the obligatory Good Morning/Afternoon. Can I help you. It is looking after clients 101. So why do I now stay at The Sheraton each time I go to the coast? It s the staff. Rather than just the courteous Can I help You, the staff at Sheraton actually do want to help you and do want your stay to be great. They talk to you if you care to them. It is not just a job. Simple I know, but they made me feel good! And that is worth going back!

The hotel has aged and is in need of some repairs. We stayed 3 nights and changed rooms, once because of the putrid smell in an extremely humid room and another time because the air vent rattled all night regardless of the aircon being on or off. Our third room leaked from the ceiling during a heavy downpour. Staff were however great and very helpful, also the buffet breakfast was fantastic!

The pool area has also aged quite a bit, the whole place could do with an overhaul!

The perfect holiday place for relaxing or shopping for all age group.

Great service all round....only thing that could make it a 5 star would be to update the decor a bit more.

Great place to stay, far from the crowds in Gold Coast.

The first signs of being a little dated, but in good nick, great location, views and the seafood bar is to die for.

Nice location and beach acess/ pool area is nice. The resort itself is showing signs of age though. Very friendly staff s I'll probably go back there.

Absolutely stunning place definitely a high class place to stay I had the most amazing experience here the whole stay 10/10 nothing to fault at all. I can fully understand why the rich and famous stay here I look forward to returning.

Very enjoyable visit, the rooms were well sized and styled. The work conference party I attended was very well organised and the food was great. The only hiccup was we were given the wrong type of room on arrival but this was rectified promptly.

One waiter had such dirty pants on I stoped eating when I saw him, I was shocked.
Few guys around the pool bar have underarms sweat stains how dirty the tops are again I was shocked.
And this morning Just when I though it s all over the waiter who was wearing gloves while caring food out to customer while having breakfast is His hands wear sweaty Under those gloves and pants dirty.
My breakfast was done here.

Luxurious. White marble, spacious. Beautiful pool landscaping. Easy access to lovely beach. Walk to Marina Mirage shopping Centre, classy restaurants with stunning water views.

The resort itself was amazing and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Could use more of a variety in the seafood buffet options but overall we enjoyed our stay and will definately be back!

Beautiful hotel and well maintained staff are fantastic from the time you arrive and nothing is a problem my wife and I have stayed at a lot of hotels around the world and this one is just as good well done Sheraton hotel

Very nice stay, we stay for a week 7 days and we arrived pretty late at night, the reception is very thoughtful and organize bell boy to get ud in to our room while my husband finishing the deposit and everything which not take long because she make it so easy for him, and we go to our room together. Recommended to purchased bottle for unlimited water refill.

Lovely setting for Melbourne cup. Beautiful food, staff exemplary.

The perfect place to relax. The pool is amazing, the setting is paradise, the staff are friendly, caring and non-intrusive. The rooms are large and welcoming. The beach is right on its doorstep, perfect for a meditative walk or a dip, although the waves could be rough. It is located on main beach, separate from the rest of the hectic Gold Coast. If you want somewhere calm and quiet to relax and clear your mind, this is the perfect resort. Stepping through its front doors I always got the feeling of inner peace I would get when returning home after a long day. Best hotel on the Gold Coast.

Definitely not 5 star. Lucky if its 3.5, especially for the money. Very tired buildings, looking a bit neglected. Only bright spot was the Welcoming staff & the comfy bed.
