It's a perfect location, room was spacious and eve...
It's a perfect location, room was spacious and every staff interaction was very nice with aloha spirit

Great place to stay
Recommend room with ocean views during whale season. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy them.
Great place to stay if you like to snorkel...black rock is right there!
I came to the honeymoon and I was assigned a room behind Black Rock to the oceanfront. The view is very nice and the beach and swimming pool are nice too. I spent two nights in both Kaanapala Beach and Wailea, but personally, I enjoyed Kaanapala Beach with more people and much better than Wailea. Breakfast was normal, but there weren't any places to eat around so I used it all. I definitely want to come next time I visit Maui.
The staff is wonderful, but the hotel is pretty dated. Great location to relax though.
One of the best true (old style) maitais on the island.
We used the parking garage to go to the beach , it was a little pricey but easy beach access if you can't find free parking it's worth it. It's a super nice beach.
Beautiful place, amazing pool and the beach is just fantastic!
There s so much better out there! The fridge in the room didn t work, the gym was confusing and hard to get to, construction everywhere, dared rooms, arcade and bar equipment broken or missing, lazy staff. Only thing good was the food and the beach.
Staying here for 10 days in a dinky room with insufficient storage space. If not for the location on the beach I have no reason why anyone would stay here. The front entrance is sad looking and the staff is unprofessional. We were promised a junior suite and did not receive one due to a mix up by our travel agent and they acted like it was impossible to give it to us as they claimed the junior suites were unavailable. This took about an hour at the front desk waiting for an answer. A quick check online shows a junior suite available. Shocking. The staff is slow and inept and unhelpful. There are other beautiful resorts to stay at and I have stayed in many others and would NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone. I asked to speak to the GM and they acted like he was the Pope. I emailed him. No response. Terribly managed property. Steer clear.
Love the resort. Would live here if I could. The staff is great the beach is perfect. The pool is relaxing and well done. We did not eat at the resort much but the pool side cafe was really very good and had one of the best tuna poke we had the entire time we were on the islands.
We had breakfast here, and went to the breach. Breakfast was great, and the beach was even greater!!
Okay... not what I expected on a few levels but it was nice since it's Hawaii after all.
We just checked into Sheraton and the bathroom clogged the first time we used. Also the rooms are dated and tearing apart. This is probably the worst Spg property that we have stayed at.
This is our fourth trip to Maui and second time at an Spg property - previously we stayed at the Westin and found the rooms to be in a pretty bad shape as well. This time we decided to book Sheraton as it had better reviews than theWestin but are even more disappointed.
We have stayed at other properties on the kaanapali beach and recommend those over the Spg properties.
Gotta start by saying Andrew at the lobby check in saved my vacation. The room he booked me into was amazing. Huge, great view, couldnt ask for more. Pool is amazing. House keeping was great. Everyone was so nice here . u recommend it for anyone visiting Maui.
The Sheraton is located in a very nice party north of laihana. We visited Black Rock Beach next to the resort and it was a very scenic beach.
My Family and I enjoyed the Maui Nui Lu'au at Black Rock. The food was just OK but the entertainment was good. Tip the bartenders for a little extra in your Mai Tai.
Fantastic experience at the Dining Under The Stars event!
We stayed at this resort as a follow up trip to visiting their Spa on our last vacation last year. I had fairly high expectations based on that visit, but didn t have the same level of experience when we actually paid to stay for the night. I would rate the facilities and staff as high, but the value was pretty low. We visited the Spa again, which I would again rate high, but no other aspect of this resort impressed me for the cost of a room.
A main complaint on the price point of this stay was that despite the considerable amount we paid for the room and location, they still felt the need to charge $20+ for a cheese burger, $12 non frills cocktails, and $20 eggs and toast. We paid a total of almost $1100 for a one night stay and a couples massage with 2 meals. During happy hour, there were some rowdy locals that were walking around with red plastic cups at the pool, so I guess if you live in Maui, they allow BYOB at the pool We left the resort to find dinner in Lahaina because I knew I would be unhappy with the value of another meal here.
Another issue was there was very little assistance arriving or leaving. We arrived at their 2nd entrance and there was no signage to their lobby to check in we could find. Nothing like wandering around with your luggage feeling like a moron When checking out, we wanted to see if they had a shuttle to the airport, and they gave us directions to wait down at the entrance we arrived at, but there was no announcement or signs to indicate which of the 20+ incoming shuttles were ours. We asked a couple of the drivers, but one was horribly rude and another didn t know. The shuttle ride was also $50 I guess they don t have the funding to place an actual employee at that entrance to assist guests.
End of story, nice resort with a great view and nice pool amenities, but the only good value to be had here is at the Spa, or parking at the hotel for the day and spending the day at the beach. It would be interesting to see the value of other Starwood Resorts.
This place is awesome! Thanks for hosting the Quiktrip Family.
Location is awesome with private feeling beautiful beach and awesome pool area. DO NOT PAY TO UPGRADE YOUR VIEW. Every room in the hotel is ocean view so there screwing you over if you pay the extra for it.
Upon arrival learned that your required to pay $25 a day in service fees, basically so you can have wifi and use the gym. NON optional which I thought was totally rediculous. Also if you want breakfast or coffee in the morning it's 25 a person for the continental breakfast, the buffet is more. All you paid for ahead of time is a room nothing else comes with your stay. Not very pleased about an extra $300 for parking and wifi.
my wife and i stayed at the sheraton maui for two weeks we really enjoyed our stay and planning to go back there the staff is great and very helpful the view from our room was wonderful a great place to stay
Great Location. Nice people, good pool, excellent beds but, Too many add on fees. All fees should be combined for ease of usage. Forced to pay parking when i did not rent a car. Our tv was changed out in the middle of our stay so that we could not change inputs to our chromecast. Whirlpool broken for a entire week( except for maybe 30 hours)
The hotel is really beautiful but there is a constant feeling of needing to avoid getting ripped off. The prices are fine, there should just be combined packages including beach rentals, breakfast, towel services, etc etc
Towel cards are the worst.
All and all it was an enjoyable stay, but no totally worry free like advertised.
Attending the Tihitian Production of a Hawaiian Luau tonight. A bit pricey, but very authentic feel, not a Disney like production. Master of Ceremonies was very welcoming and possessed an impressive voice and delivery that keeps everyone waiting for what awaits next! Some history, geography, and other science components make this a show for everyone in the family. The buffet was in a word, comprehensive! Delicious pork prepared in the traditional manner of underground cooking. Poke, chicken, vegetables, and so much more, and everything was wonderful. The venue is right along the coast and continues as the sun gently sets in the background. A lei welcoming ceremony was a nice touch, and real, hand made plumaria flowers made up the beautiful tradition. Very good luau, likely the best or second best on Maui, so reserve with confidence!
This is a very large property. My wife and I stayed here 2 times, and we will definitely be back. Family friendly pool, great Luau, and plenty of space on their designated beach area. There are so many rooms to select from at this location.
Just got here yesterday. The pool area ran out of towels. Was told to come back in 10 minutes. When I returned to get my beach towel they still had none. The girl gave me attitude and said it's not her fault because laundry is off site. Seems to me they should have better logistical planning to take care of their guests.
Large nicely laid out property, well maintained and very pleasant staff. Great buffet
Great resort - minus a star for Resort Fees. Any room that has a mandatory price built in is the price. If resort fees really were just fees - they would be optional. Imagine if everything you bought came with a similar fee, you only find out about it after you purchased that there was a fee levied.
Parking is hella expensive even if you are staying at the resort. This is apart from the resort fee. Rooms are OK. Expected a lot more from SPG. Stayed at the Royal Lahaina last time and wanted to try the Sheraton this time. Not worth it.
Nice pool areas, and beach. The restaurant is a little overpriced.
I recently visited this hotel for the Hawaii Food and Wine festival. The event itself was great and there were no disruptions for the few hours I was there. However, there is a strike going at the moment with a picket line at the entrance and rather loud employees on the march. I'm not familiar with all the issues but it seems a shame a labor dispute would reach this point. Current guests have no room service, housekeeping or access to all amenities. There are certainly going to be a number of guests that will never return to this hotel. Until this is resolved, I strongly advise booking elsewhere. It's a great hotel and I would normally recommend it.
Fantastic resort! Great service and nice rooms, especially if you score one with an ocean view. Lots of activities and amenities to keep the entire family occupied.
Wonderful resort! Hotel staff were very polite and helpful in making our visit a memorial vacation. I would have given the resort a five star rating if it wasn't for the hotel employees that were on strike, blocking the entrance to get in and out, marching on the beach banging drums and chanting " guests go home, guests go home". It does take away some of the Aloha, but everything considered, I still would defiantly recommend staying at his resort.
Nice resort. Amazing snorkeling. Hotel rooms are nice, but small compared to the condo association versions it competes with nearby
Very large and spacious ball room, perfect for a prom.
The laua at Sheraton provided a full belly and enough Mai Tais to get the job done, but not much else. The food was mediocre, entertainment was short and a lot of time was spent on trying to sell extra photos and goods. It's not the worst choice for a luau in Maui, but there are certainly better ones to spend $120+ per person on.
Rooms are clean, food and drinks are wonderful and snorkeling right off the resort is wonderful!!!! Swan with sea turtles right in front of resort. Would come back in a minute!!!!
My family did not stay at the Sheraton but visit black rock beach almost every day. It is the most kid friendly we found in all of kaanapali. The waves were calm and we felt comfortable with our kids 6 and 7 being in the ocean. Walking through the grounds of the hotel it looked like a beautiful place to stay with a great pool and great location
Rooms are pleasant, but layout is spread out so plan on a lot of walking. Views are gorgeous, but then it's Maui, so that's expected. All in all, I would come here again in a heartbeat!
Location is great. Beds and pillows are awful. Restaurant service was pretty bad too. Would opt to stay elsewhere next time.
Beautiful beachfront property and great customer service! Staff is A++. Marion at the front desk was wonderful-ask for her!
The hotel is located right next to BlackRock. Every evening there is a ceremony where a local diver jumps off of the rock--a must see experience. The beach sand is so soft and the water is clear blue. The pool has an awesome lazy river and there are two pool bars that serve snacks/drinks.
Part of the property is under construction but is supposed to be finished this month (November 2019). The room was nicely furnished and clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Our king bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft. Will stay here again.
Ants were everywhere in our room. pretty much you will be charged for every basic services. too expensive, and not a great place to stay for the money that you pay. really disappointed.
Great pools, room services ran out of towels when they got to our room. I like the key cards, very fancy
I attended the luau here for the second time and it was as wonderful as I remembered.
Great beach and snorkeling access right from the hotel. Lots of great fish and sea turtles.
Grounds are very nice and the pool is cool...Areas to just relax or go through a river like area.
Be careful, lots of people die at this beach and it is not well known to visitors because they keep it under wraps. Massive under tow and riptides. They really should post a lifeguard .......... Also, don't stay up the hill in Building 6 unless you want to walk a half mile just to get to the lobby or pool and beach area.
After seeing the 4.2 review on google I thought that this resort would be a good hotel to spurge on, but I was wrong. To begin the customer service both at valet and the customer service counter was horrible. Instead of being approached and asked if you can receive your car, you would have to interrupt the staff s conversations and ask a few people to get your car. As for the front desk, the home keepers seems to be kinder, greeting you with an aloha or asking you if you need anything. Yet the rooms are horrific, on the last night of my stay I saw a HUG COCK ROACH in my room. I truly don't recommend this resort . The only positive thing that I can say about this hotel is the great location.
The grounds are stunning and the easy access to Kaanapali Beach can't be beat.
Stayed here for four nights... beautiful setting around the hotel grounds, however overall didn't really wow me. Location is at remote end of island, walking distance to Whalers Village which houses few restaurants which consistently had long queues and nearest town of Lahaina can only be accessed via car or hotel shuttle. Hotel staff were not as friendly as others that we have experienced in other hotels in Waikiki.
Excellent location, amazing beach, comfortable and spacious rooms, very good buffet breakfast but expensive $35.00 per person.
Just hung out at the beach, pools and bar with other guests. Was perfect!
$25 resort fee for every day even though you ve already paid for the room plus $20 a day to park.. don t waste your money here. Airbnb is the way to go and at least that money goes to a family.
We came in late, so I can't say much of the location - I'm a business traveler. But this place is awesome. Check out the pool.
Great location on the beach! Friendly staff, lovely rooms and swimming pools. Kudos to Noah at the front desk for making our vacation a memorable one.
This was a great place to stay.....the pool & beach were amazing and every employee we encountered couldn't have been nicer. The only negative thing I can say is the pillows could have been better but it didn't effect one aspect of our stay !
Aloha & Mahalo
Elegant beach front hotel. Staff is very friendly . The pool has water slides and a shallow area for children. It wraps around a small beachside restuarant called Cliff Dive Grill.
Had Rib eye steak at Black Rock restaurant. Food was overcooked and salty. Way overpriced and server was not very engaging.
The pros: Snorkeling by the Black Rock with Turtles ( but you can do that without staying at the hotel)
The cons: Rooms are outdated and the old shower head broke on us, we had charges on our bill at check out for equipment we had NOT rented, staff is not particularly polite or positive, upon asking about resort charges at check in we we're told "Hawaii is expensive, you know..." Thank you for taking your customers for idiots, that makes for a great welcome. No good food on the resort, don't waste your money, there are plenty of other great restaurants nearby.
Beautiful, as only ocean-front Hawai i can be This resort is worth every penny - from the beach access to the close proximity to Whaler s Village and other spots like Lahaina, they have water refill stations all over, tasty drinks at the outdoor bars, a tasty buffet breakfast, and more.
They Nicole and dime the hell out of you. $25 daily resort fee, mandatory $20 parking fee, no microwave in the rooms, $55/hr paddleboard rentals.
Great pool and food. A local was selling good local art in the lobby. The access to the beach was superb. Dove off of a cliff into the ocean next door and loved it!
I REALLY DON T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE, STAFF SEEMS BITTER AND VERY UNFRIENDLY, OVER PRICED FOR MEDIOCRE ROOMS. AFTER 2 NIGHTS HERE WE MOVED TO THE WESTIN KANAAPALI RESORT AND SPA, IT WAS A 1000 TIMES BETTER!
DO NOT COME HERE
Awesome resort with great views, restaurant options, best location on Kaanapali Beach
This place is amazing. The location next to black Rock beach is perfect. Huge sea turtles to swim with. The staff was so amazing.
It is the first night I came to a honeymoon, and it gives me a twin. When I make a reservation, I can not guarantee that I can double my application. Look out
Loved the atmosphere. The staff was especially great. I can't not reco.end highly enough! Will travel here again just for the Sheraton.
We went for the Luau. Great weather. The food was better than expected. Overall a great experience
Fantastic hotel. Beautiful grounds and nice staff. Pricey, but worth it.
