Great location. Clean room. Gym was large but equipment dated. Pool was very small. Room could have used a fridge & way more power/USB outlets. Overall I recommend.

I love this hotel very clear nice staff warm atmosphere I give it a
Clean and safe. However a refrigerator in all the rooms would be nice.
I was there to coordinate/attend a social event. The banquet staff was courteous but I do not feel the services provided was what I expected from Sheraton banquet staff. Many of the items needed were not provided as per setup instructions, and that I had to ask many times before they were delivered and setup correctly.
Good location. Very comfortable. And the staff was very nice.
I have been here for multiple events over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the whole hotel is very clean and well tended to and the rooms were a delight to stay in. I can not recommend this hotel enough. It is right across from the convention center and the capitol making it a prime location in downtown Sacramento. I don't think I would want to stay anywhere else in Sacramento when I come for business meetings and the like.
The Sheraton grand hotel was amazing the staff had all the answers to my questions and the food you can get there is great I definitely recommend staying here!! Thank you for being awesome!!!
The location is great. It's right in the heart of everything. Everything was you needed to get to was in walking distance. Nothing really special about the actual hotel room. The staff seemed to be nice.
Great place. Parking is difficult. Conference rooms are good. Very organized
Attended a conference at the hotel. Service from staff was great, room was very nice, and buffet lunch was very good. Set up for microphones and visual aids had no problems.
Very nice hotel in the heart of downtown, Clean rooms, huge TV, comfortable beds. Lobby bar is expensive, yikes, tons of better options within blocks.
No one from the restaurant, coffee shop, bar, or front desk could help me get a warm glass of milk. Lol these people say they re in the hospitality business . What a joke.
Nice, clean room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great place for a conference!
I live the historical aspect of this hotel, it was the Public Market Building for Sacramento. The service is always great and the location to the capital, restaurants and bars is great.
This hotel is absolutely amazing. The views and location are fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough.
I always have a great stay at Sheraton hotels. This time I was on the 26 floor (top floor) and had a really beautiful view with a window seat. Two complimentary bottles of water are provided daily. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. The shower water pressure and temperature were wonderful. I wish I could stay forever. Paid self parking is around the opposite corner on 13th street (between I and J Streets), with in and out privileges. Valet is also available. Valet even allowed me to park in front of the building while I checked in and took my bags to my room. This is just a great hotel.
They were able to do an early check-in because of scheduling issues on my part. They gave us the wrong room. We needed a room with a fridge because our baby needed his milk supply refrigerated. However, they accommodated us by giving us a mini fridge, which was awesome.
Excellent location with several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was clean and did a wonderful job of accommodating our large group. THANK YOU
Stay at hotel was subpar, staff up front was nice enough. The issue we are having now in the aftermath of our stay is 475 pending from Expedia for the initial purchase, we have a 425 pending transaction and a 450 pending transaction from the hotel itself as if we were being double charged. Upon calling the establishment seeking resolution, the young man on the phone had the audacity to actually refuse to let me speak to management and that these hold fees are regular and that theres nothing he could do. Upon requesting a manager again after the informalities he actually aggravated the situation by speaking back to me and basically saying that I'm out of luck sorry. Then hung up on me. This kind of behavior and misrepresentation from a hotel in any kind of manner is unacceptable and reprehensible. One night in a 400 dollar room should not put up to 1,500 dollars worth of holds on my account. Because the hotel outright refused to settle my resolve, I have to move funds around my business
Nice! Attended an event here which was very fancy and well organized. Didnt stay at the hotel.
Several issues. No manager available to rectify the issues. Asked for manager to contact me. They didn't. Called, they said they'd have a manager call me. Again, nothing. Even my platinum status didn't seem to make them care about making things right.
I had an amazing short visit. I thought the customer service was great as well as the complimentary food at the front desk due to me making a delivery at the hotel through DoorDash.
The place isn't so grand. Rooms are subpar for the price point.
Worst experience at any hotel property. It took 30 mins to check in. Only one employee on duty. The employee was rude and without compassion. I made the reservations through a third party as a lot us do and did not know I had to leave a deposit. No problem I had cash on me. Nope would not accept cash because of the Pandemic. Instead of working with me, I had to cancel my Thanksgiving plans and leave the hotel. I won't bore anyone with my alternate plans but it worked out, no thanks to Sherton Grand Sacramento. Oh they also tried to make me pay a service dog deposit. Ya nice try Sheraton.
Great hotel and no regrets. Perfectly located for a downtown experience and/or Sacramento Convention Center/Golden One Center/Capitol etc...They are a Union hotel. Fairly overpriced and missing a lot of fun family amenities (pool, spa, outdoor area).
Good food. Bistro chicken was amazing. Room service however is very expensive. Good thing there is a subway right across the street for the people not willing to spend $45 on steak , fries and a drink. The staff were great!!!!
Cons: no closet in the room to hang items. No iron/ironing board. No luggage rack. The happy hour for "preferred" members was a joke. Cheese tray, veggies and jalapeno peppers. No beer or wine. Basically it is in a room the size of the room you are staying in. Super expensive hotel(used points) for nothing really special. "Heated" pool is freezing and only about 1 hour of sun in the pool area due to buildings.
Great location. Far enough from downtown and capital traffic but close enough to walk to all those locations you came to sacramento for.
Very disappointed the pool is closed. I wish they would have mentioned that when we made the reservation.
Very central to downtown with lots of food and entertainment nearby. Great food and the rooms are spacious. I would definitely come back.
It's large and pretty. Food was good, but staff was stuck up and were impolite to many of the people.
Very comfortable and clean hotel in a location close to a lot of food options. The gym is currently being renovated so they give you a pass to use Cal Fit a few blocks away which is a very nice gym.
Tiny rooms, ice machines arent easily found without having a safari hunt going, no fridges, no free wifi downstairs is nice but that's not where ur room is.... Not worth the $...
We are here for a convention. This is the first time we stay here. In the past we thought Sheraton was thoughtful and considerate to provide iced water dispensers to guests on hot summer days. It gave us a good impression. The stay so far has been great. The check in was fast. The front desk Joseph gave us to a Club Level room. The room is clean. Beds are comfy. The bathroom is good sized, but the towels have seen better days. We don't have a mini fridge. We didn't have enough towels for 4 people, so we asked housekeeping for extra set. She was friendly. The Club Lounge was ok the first day. The first evening reception had fried artichokes, veggie tray, cheese and crackers, and cookies. It also had small fridge full of water and Pepsi/Sierra Mist. The second night was much better with spring rolls and cheesecake. The breakfast was continental. We dined at PMB once. The service was slow but the staff was polite and friendly. I liked the scallops. The Italian meatball soup was a bit spicy for my daughter. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
Went to class for work. Delicious catered breakfast and lunch. Freezing cold though!!! If you go to meetings here, bring heavy sweater!
Annual CalSAE Seasonal Spectacular edication and lunch session were delivered were delivered with no problems!
Nice place, good customer service, I had a good room but there is no fridge in my room, my coworker got a suite and also no fridge
Loved the hotel itself, but I was staying with an organization which was holding its conference in the convention center (next to it). Because of that, the registering line and not to mention, the line for the elevator was extremely long. Hopefully they add another location for elevators next time to help lessen the wait time.
The rates do not reflect what you're getting in accommodations.
Parking is in a separate garage that costs an additional $25-30 for one night.
Room service is available only until 9pm.
The bar closes at 10pm. So if you're needing anything, make sure to bring it with you on your first trip there.
Also, make sure to request a room with a refrigerator and microwave, if you need them, because not all rooms have them.
I've stayed at swankier places for the same price and had a better experience.
I will say that the gentleman who guarded our food delivery while headed down, was very nice and so was the clerk we checked in with. Also, we had a shot at the bar and the bartender was also very pleasant!
Outside of that, I would not choose to stay here again.
I did have a great view of a hawk flying. Unfortunately, the fires are so bad, the smoke made the view a little bittersweet.
It was still cool to see it flying around above midtown/downtown Sac.
The hotel is really big and can hold hundreds of people for events! The servants provided really good service and the food tasted well. If you want better food, go to a restaurant. The reception area was spacious, but it was kind of dark and stuffy due to the vast number of people. I would come back to explore their options and services.
Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. Didnt appreciate house keeping opening my door at 730am even with the do not disturb sign, but...it happens. Overall great stay.
I didn't have an opportunity to see much of the hotel as I was only there to sleep after a concert. The room was comfortable and clean, nicely decorated. I paid a discounted rate and it was worth what I paid, but the rack rate of $450 would've been too much. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location for events at Golden One Center.
Room was very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. The lobby and bar area were very beautiful as well. The valet was a bit of a wait, but they were running around in 107 degree weather so they have my thanks!
Great in the heart of Sacramento. We love to stay here. Wonderful meeting spaces. We love the lobby bar and come even when we're not staying.
Good location, comfortable rooms, some with handsome views. The desks need more electrical outlets. Staff is Sheraton friendly and always greet warmly. Parking is across the street. Restaurant is great for lunch and there are lots of nearby restaurants for variety. You can't go wrong.
Location: Nice, as it's close to the convention center and the capital, and fairly close to old Sacramento. Rooms: Adequate and spacious enough for 4 people. Unfortunately they do not provide a fridge and there isn't much place to store things. Everything was clean and there is enough plugs for each person to charge their gadget. Service: Quick and as silent as the night. Props to them for such an easy experience. Tip is advised. Amenities: the basics, shampoo, towel, etc Pool: Eh, don't swim. Tl;Dr: it's a good option if you want to explore out for most of the day than just being stuck in your hotel room.
Had food at the bar. The nachos are good and big enough for two. The service was not bad.
Awesome hotel. Big modern rooms. Easy walking to old town Sacramento and the river walk. Next door to the convention center. Tons of eating options.
I only paid half-price because of work and I still feel ripped off! Rooms are no better than a $60 motel, poorly designed rooms, paint chipping off the cheap plywood furniture. Don't stay here, it's a complete and total ripoff.
My niece got married durring this pandemic, The Sheraton hotel accommodated or small party for a reception in their out door cafe. Staff was above and beyond courteous, we felt completely safe as the social distancing guidelines were professionally and respectfully enforced. The NY Steak was amazing!
The room was very nice. Not crowded. 2 full beds which were very comfortable. Great HDTv. Starbucks in the room. Nice gym. Very nice stay.
Amazing hotel just wish outside glass was cleaner so you could see the city
Stayed one night before California International Marathon. This is located right next to the Expo venue, Sacramento Convention Center, and the race day bus starts right in front of it. No other location is more convenient than this, the room is so clean, well-made, nothing to ask more! Thank you Sheraton, it was pleasant stay!
A beautiful hotel in a great location. I found a lot of things to do nearby. The rooms were very comfortable and staff was polite.
I have lived in Sacramento all my life and it's not often that I take the time to stroll the city streets. My sister and I had just come from the local adult arcade, Coin-Op, and I was talking about planning a Stay-cation, when I stopped on the corner and started straight up into the most beautifully presented building... The lights on the ground floor were bright enough to see inside, though the lobby was mostly empty. We viewed a group of 4 women sitting at a windowed seat, eating, drinking wine, and LAUGHING. The joy was wonderful to see! I know where I'm going next time I need to get away!
Always love staying here. The staff are so friendly and I always get a good night's rest. Lots of good places to eat to.
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
I enjoyed the sap. I liked the restaurant section. Great food. Amazing place. Services was on top level. Staff were professional. Great view from the window of my room. Great location.
Wonderful experience was this place from start to end. I came here with my wife and family. We had great time. Great location to enjoy your some time. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Interior was good.Services was good.Overall nice stay.
Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed here for business trip. It is across the street from the convention center, which was very convenient. Highly recommend for anyone attending an event here.
I think this location caters to business professionals more than families. Really cool views of downtown Sacramento. Parking was $20 a night.
We usually use the Hyatt (next door) for conferences in Sacramento but because of the Marriott merger decided to do Sheraton.
The place is exactly in front of the convention center and smack in the middle of downtown - +1 for location. Parking is a little pricey ($30 valet) but then its downtown.
The hotel itself is decent but looked a little old - seemed like it has past its prime. But still well kept, maintained and serviced. No complains.
Rooms were OK, nothing fancy but comfortable. Ice machine on floor did not work. Lobby area was spacious and clean. Check-in and check-out took way longer than needed, they did not have enough people working at the desk.
Been here twice for a training/symposium and not much a fan but part of that is the location. Staff were very nice and food was good, but parking for handicap is almost non-existent here -had to circle the area for quite awhile before finding a regular spot - and where the symposium room are there are no restrooms on that level. I'm very active but my feet stiffen after I've sat for awhile. Last year the rooms were very cold but this time more moderate temps. Last year staff led me to the wrong locations before I realized where I needed to go
Room was very nice. But it seems like the walls are very thin. To the point where my guests and I woke up hearing others from different rooms. Still it was a decent experience.
It's a very nice property overall. My room does not have a mini fridge, which is a little disappointing. However, every part of the hotel is clean and comfortable. My room is no exception. Walls are thick and I do not hear my neighbors other than some slight noise through the door, which is to be expected. Room service is fine. Food is decent quality, though not particularly exciting. Be aware that they apply a 20% gratuity AUTOMATICALLY to all room service orders, but still have a tip space on the bill. Make sure that you are not tipping more than you want to.
The first room we were put in had dog hair all over the carpet. The Sheraton Grand is a very busy hotel with tons of events every month and thousand of guests, I imagine the housekeeping service is stretched thin, especially around the holidays. Anyway, the dog hair was unsightly and I'm allergic, so I called guest services and told a nice woman the problem. She had a new room for us in less than three minutes. A man came upstairs to meet us and trade out our key cards. It was a quick and seamless solution.
Nice hotel, very convenient to the convention center and capital. Great location for conferences and meetings.
Comfy beds. Rooms were a little warm for my taste but it was a nice stay. No fridge in room but I'm sure one would be available upon request.
Had a nice dinner and drinks. The salmon was good, as was the service. Always seem to meet nice people here too. Overall a good spot for a bite before heading to the convention center.
Excellent service. Rooms were a bit small, but were very clean. No refrigerator in room and both ice machines I tried didn't work. All I all a good experience.
I was there for an day conference hospitality was great. They ran out of food though but it was great.
Only dropped off passenger, but sure looked like a lovely hotel
Be careful they will rob you thru deposits, also one of the workers told me that the houskeeping sometimes leaves dirty blankets for the next patron on purpose. I checked myself with a blue light, there was roach feces and urine one the blankets

Great, central location. Lots of restaurant variety nearby, only a couple blocks from the capitol with a beautiful park. Staff is very helpful, room was clean and attractive. No microwave nor fridge, but a nice place to stay. We were here as part of a convention next door at the convention center. There are three pokestops around it that have lures fairly often.
Nice interiors. The conference rooms are very comfortable.
Great spot for a work event. Parking was difficult but other than that, you can't beat the location.
Great service staff, clean room, and friendly bartenders. The pool looked much bigger in pictures though.
Very nice hotel. Service was great, rooms were clean and the fitness center has 2 Peloton bikes!
Stopped in for a professional development event dinner, did not stay the night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the quality of food was good. There were not nearly enough tables available though, and the layout seemed to be more focused on style than practicality.
I only went in to the hotel for certain events for SacAnime, but the staff were friendly and it was very clean and inviting.
Rooms were clean, but didn't have fridge. Asked house keeping for some extra pillows but we didn't get them until we called them again.
Parking is across the street for $20/night.
Needed black or green tea, but they were confused and we ended up not getting any.
Breakfast wasn't included so we had to pay extra $20/person/day.
I believe overall it's an outdated hotel and way over priced.
Will definitely go somewhere else next time we are in Sacramento.
The staff goes above and beyond to make the stay memorable. Room is very comfortable and everything functions properly. Would stay again
The hotel is nice looking. Nothing too fancy. Lots of meeting rooms and they definitely served their purpose. Finding parking nearby was difficult but they do have a dedicated parking garage for guests staying in the hotel.
Second time we've stayed here and we really enjoy this hotel. Parking garage is located across the street from the hotel and costs $25 a night. The hotel is located across from the convention center and near multiple restaurants and bars (within walking distance). The hotel lobby has a bar with good happy hour prices. Serves Starbucks. The room was a nice size with a king size bed. Bed and pillows comfortable. Coffee maker and hair dryer in room both worked well.
When my friends needed a place to stay with their dogs and a transport for Dogs on Deployment, the Sheraton was the best place in town. They offer outstanding service and a beautiful hotel. I highly recommend staying here. They helped get a soldier's dog home to her after 18 months out of the country.
The Sheraton Grand hotel is a very nice hotel. The restaurant and conference center of the hotel used to be a market and train station. There are 26 floors of rooms, a small pool, nice gym, and room service. The reason for the 4 start rating is due to the lack of free internet. If the front desk gives you a code, then it is free, otherwise they offer 2 different internet services, a basic check your email and Facebook type of service or for more money you can do all of the above plus stream video. All in all, the rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are very helpful.
Nice clean room, comfortable beds. Only comes with single serve coffee in room, ice machines on most floors...no microwave or refrigerators in room, you can rent a super tiny one for $20 a night though, free if medically necessary. Staff very efficient, unloading car upon arrival, they packed up my cart for checkout as soon as I asked for a cart while in the lobby!!! Room service a luxurious treat.
Wonderful stay while attending the HighEdWeb conference. I'd like to personally thank Nathan Wakeen, the Front Office Director, for working with me on an error in my booking. Top, TOP notch service. Room with a view was spectacular. Thanks again, Nathan!
Wonderful staff.... Very welcoming... Beautiful views...
One of my favorite hotel in Sacramento beautiful rooms very clean and great staff around the clock
Everyone has been so attentive and helpful. So peaceful last night. We are on the East side and are seeing the CENTER being torn down.
Extremely clean and inviting hotel. Staff was friendly and bartender was excellent. Rooms exactly as expected for the brand. I'd definitely stay here again!
Lovely hotel and a great place to stay during Sacanime!
Nice clean rooms, didn't have the best view. I like the restaurant they have in the lounge area. It's walking distance to many places
