Clean, easy to get to, close to the capital as well as food and entertainment. Kept everything stocked and organized like a ninja. You never really saw them but everything kept getting refilled. Front door staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean.

Well, as I didn't actually stay at the hotel, but rather, used the grounds as part of a conference, I can't speak on the quality of the rooms. However, the lobby was spacious and the booths for check-in were accommodated on location nicely. There was even coffee provided. The ballroom was set-up in a fashion that made sense for the presentations. I would definitely recommend this venue if I were an event coordinator.

The hotel has nice rooms, and every employee offers good service. The hotel is just minutes away from the capital, nightlife, and restaurants; However, if you do choose to stay in, the hotel's bar serves delicious food + great drinks!

The Sheraton was amazingly beautiful and the staff were so accommodating for my mother's service. A beautiful conference room was used and the media provided worked perfectly. The audio was clear with no feedback.

We love staying here on the weekends of the Sac Amine Convention. Staff is very helpful & accommodating. Check-in & check-out is pretty crazy but goes pretty quickly & smoothly. Rooms are always clean & comfortable.

Great, homey place & excellent customer service! The fitness room is very spacious & has new equipment w/up to date machines. The 2 things missing from this visit was a free shuttle ride to & from the airport and a hot tub. I would recommend this hotel since many places are within walking distance.

Stayed here for a conference. Great location to the convention center. Room service was great. There were a good number of restaurants within walking distance along with some neat sights to see.

Where I m sure this is a popular spot for businessmen, hookers and crooked politicians I cannot recommend this hotel unless you want to stay up all night and listen to eurotrash arguing the price of a BJ.

We arrived very late and were greeted by Anthony, a friendly guy who knew where the closest Poke Stops were. We had our 2 pups with us and picked the hotel because of their refundable pet deposit. The mattress was incredible, great nights sleep. Will be back. Only complaint is the parking is outrageous. $32 for valet and $20 for self park, insane when one is already paying $200 for a room.

This review is really for the downstairs lounge area. Second stay here for us in as many months, this time for an event so didn't spend much time in the room but got to experience the social atmosphere in the lobby on Friday and Saturday night. If you're staying and planning to get out for a night in the town, start off downstairs as the lounge area is arguably more enjoyable and spacious than local spots with a mix of locals and out of towners. Pricier but speedy and attentive staff make sure you're tended to.

The Sheraton Grand building has a rich history and is conveniently located to many Sacramento landmarks such as the State Capitol, IMAX Theater, Memorial Auditorium and Sacramento Convention Center among others.

Not a 4 star hotel - For the price not worth it. Rooms are a bit in the small side and they would only allow one pillow to be sent up when I wanted two. Also no convenience shop which is totally standard for a 4 star hotel. Room was in 4 star shape but bathroom was not, discolored grout and chips and wear on wood. True 4 star has only perfect condition bathroom. Overall pleasant but if you're picky save some money and go with the Hyatt or another 3 1/2 star.

Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel is excellent place to stay here. Very good atmosphere. You feel very safe in rooms. Comfortable beds. Neat and clean place. Wonderful location as well as interior. I liked it.

This is a beautiful hotel! The staff are amazing! Always so nice and helpful, the rooms are a nice size, and very well kept. There's always something going on here, lots of great amenities, and the price is well worth it!

Just ok. Stayed here due to proximity to the venue we were going to. Bare amenities for the price of the room. No microwave, no mini fridge, no ice machine on my floors had to walk down a few floors to get ice. No microwave available for guest use, not even a closet to hang up my nice clothes in to unwrinkle them. Wouldnt stay here again for what you pay and what you get. Front desk was understaffed for a Saturday. Long line to check in. Bed was nice, bathroom was nice.

A very nice hotel with a larger room for a downtown property. Wide windows with almost enough room in the window sill to sit and enjoy the view of the downtown and all the murals or my room faced west and I caught the sunset. I ended up with two twin or queen beds instead of one large king bed, but the bed was comfortable and sheets were nice. Sink and shower had the low flow water saving feature which is probably necessary with the constant drought issues in California. Just wish that the bathroom light had a switch instead of some strange movement / timer electricity saving feature.

Nice hotel, with great views of the city and river. Loved being on a high floor for the view and the window seats in the rooms, but the elevator was slow and it took forever to come and go. There were a couple minor maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Otherwise, it was a nice stay with comfy beds and Starbucks in the room!

Stayed here for almost a week on business. As I was rushing to check out and left my wallet in the room (yes yes I know my fault). I didn t realize it until I was on the road 25 mins away...as soon as realized it, I called them. Hotel operator took my info. Within 3 mins I got a call back saying no wallet which I thought was peculiar that they could confirm that quickly. Whatever, my loss but whoever took my LV wallet with cash - karma s a b*itch.

A little pricey if not for group rate I wouldn't recommend it. But with the deal we got it was comfortable.
Vallet price for guest staying there was disappointing. Don't order a double shot of well at the hotel bar..... $18.00!!! Yowsa!

Had $2500 worth of damage done to my car in their hotel lot. They say it's not theirs but their branding is all over. They've had multiple thefts at their garage recently, including their employees own vehicles and management has done nothing to fix the problem nor take any responsibility.

Nice and lively hotel located right downtown in Sacramento. Fairly up to date and clean, the hotel is a great choice for all city attractions. Nice bar and coffee counter, but other food options are somewhat limited. Morgans on the second floor is only open till lunch and the restaurant connected to the bar is very good, but has a limited menu and seating. The hotel gets very busy due to its location. Gym is nice, but could use some updated equipment and the outdoor pool is decent but a bit small for the size of the hotel.

I used to live in the area and thought of the Sheraton as one of the best hotels in Sacramento. I was really looking forward to finally staying here and must admit that I was less than impressed.

To be fair, the location is good, the lobby is pleasant and everything is clean. That said, the bed was remarkably uncomfortable, and the pillows were (literally) painfully terrible. Seems like such an easy fix, but not one that has yet been made.

Also, $15 a night for internet? Coffee shops provide free WiFi. Budget hotels provide free WiFi. After what I paid to stay here, and they re going to charge extra? I don t appreciate being nickel and dimed.

No free wifi. What is this? 2004? Old TV with limited channels, hard bed, lame breakfast buffet for $20. Not a good value for the price overall. Bathtub bottom was visibly dirty so only showers. Room was directly joining cleaning staff closet and ice machine so noise and bumping the walls went late and started early. The only thing it has going for it is proximity to the convention center. Service was friendly but cool.

I would give 2 stars, but I can't dismiss the fact that my luggage was stolen from inside my hotel room on the second day of my 4 day/ 3 night stay.

I had no idea that someone from housekeeping could remove your personal effects and not be held accountable. An entire piece of luggage and it's contents was stolen from my room. I checked in with 2pcs. (Which they indicated that they have seen on camera, when I entered their establishment).

I felt as though I should I save been better informed on their policy on thefts that occur inside the room which the customer pay for. Please note; the Sheraton will inform you that they will conduct an investigation. However, you will not be provided a form on the company letterhead in which to write your report on... They will tell you that " it's company policy". Infact, you will not have knowledge of what they actually write in the actual report. You must take their word.

This is unfortunate..over $900 of my personal effects were stolen... I was offered 2 $50 gift cards to help with some of my undergarments that were in the stolen baggage. Other items stolen include my computer, a pair of boots, socks, pajamas and misc. other clothing items. Let's be clear my 4-day 3-night stay cost a little over $700 and included no perks. So it should be understandable that I am less than pleased with my overall hotel visit to say the least.

There was the promise of a Sheraton hotel voucher by the Hotel security manager for me to return again for a couple of nights at the expense of the Sheraton hotel, in hopes of me having a positive experience with the Sheraton . (I haven't received it, nor am I in receipt of it). I received a call from the insurance claims department, which informed me that they wouldn't reimburse or honor my claim. Another disappointment to say the least.

So based on my experience; here's what I can offer as best practices to safeguard yourself from being caught in the snares of an internal theft scam from a notable Sheraton Grand hotel chain.

1. Ask to see their policy on internal theft in writing BEFORE offering payment for your stay. Otherwise you will have to read it on the fine print on the backside of the hotel door. This is the only place it's written that indicates that the hotel will not cover any items that are stolen if they have not been placed inside of their safe or brought to your room by a bellman. (No one would think to lock their computer, shoes and clothing items that fits snugly inside of the suitcase into a Sheraton room safe that's approximately 5x10x14 inches.) For jewelry and cash ...yes.

2. Ask what time maid service is coming to your room and monitor them while they are there. (yes this is an inconvenient but this is the only place where you may ever be vulnerable and having someone else come in your room other than you)

3.Demand to see the incident report that the security writes up, even if they say you can't have a copy. This is the only way to ensure that they have written the report just as you have explained the incident. Unfortunately I was not allowed to see it when I requested the document.

4. Inquire as to whether there are cameras in the hallways for safety of the customers. I discovered there were none when inquiring about video footage of anyone leaving my room. . .which was directly across from an internal stairwell.

5. Security may appear to be helpful at times and sincere at others. This is great because you are usually distraught, hurt, and torn that such an incident can occur on the premises. They do try to console you and calm you down. Please REMIND YOURSELF THAT THEY WORK FOR THE COMPANY and their job is to protect the company's interest at all costs, NOT YOURS... EVEN IF HOUSEKEEPING IS THE ONLY OTHER ENTITY WITH KNOWN ACCESS.

5. if you see something, say something ...perhaps you can help some unsuspecting person who may be the next target.

The Sheraton staff are great and it's really conveniently located in the Heart of downtown Sacramento. I was attending an event and the staff did a wonderful job caring for us. Would definitely host another meeting here.

Got a good rate on Priceline was a bit leery about parking and yep they jammed me up for $25. The room had two tiny beds, no refer, no microwave and the bottled water is $3.00, no joke. WiFi? $10 for reg speed $15 for high speed. If you want anything you ll have to pony up extra $$. The fitness rooms nice and the heated pool is 4 deep and it s outside on the balcony however if you re with a group only 11 are allowed in the water so it s small. Hey they got everything though if you have too much $$ you ll be taken good care of.

Wasn t very pleasant, especially considering it s a Marriott brand. I don t usually give bad reviews but the wait time to get checked in and park my car was an hour. Was around 10pm so i was already up for 17 hours so I m tired. Took valet 1.5 hours to park my car, building is older and left more to be desired for.

Wasn t a bad hotel, but the $250-$300 nightly rate dropped my satisfaction a lot. I d give 3 stars if it wasn t sooo expensive, and 4 stars if people were more prompt with their job.

Nothing Grand about this place....
Perhaps it's just me, but gone are the days where a business traveler feels the need to eat out every meal of the day. This hotel makes it impossible to chill or reheat leftovers later in the day. Keep fruit, wine or beer cool. Standard things you may desire "after hours" beyond the solutions of " the 7/11 will let you use their microwave" and " we have a valet fridge service". I am sarcastically certain that there is probably some strange California law, about radiation in public spaces and refrigerator exhaust in enclosed areas prohibiting them from renting them per night or placing at least ONE in a common area to be used. At which case, that should be explained to guests, and advised via the website, as the absence of evidence that amenities are on premises is not always the evidence of their absence.

Sheraton Grande Hotel Is conveniently located in downtown Sacramento. A very good place for staying or hosting social and professional events. Recently I attended there for a conference. The staff was friendly and caring. The food was very good and varied. The only thing I would like is the room temperature to be a little bit warmer. It's refreshing if you just came in during a hot summer day, but if you stay for a longer event like in my case it does feel cold. So if you're more used to a warmer weather or get cold easily caring a light jacket is always a good idea. :)

If you are ok with a warm and humid sleeping environment, this is an ok hotel. If you are like me and you can't sleep In an extremely humid and warm room, avoid!!! I'll be waking up with pimples because that's what happens when I sleep in a damp room. Gross.

At hotel: Had a great stay overall. Precious was very helpful and nice! She helped make our stay very memorable. The rest of the staff was very friendly. Online and on phone: We did leave confused because we were told we could upgrade our rooms to get breakfast and when we arrived it was a different fee and not for the room but per person buffet. We were also very confused because they have no happy hour but it is stated online and on their parking garage stairwells on their posters that they do from 4-7pm.

Wonderful hotel right in downtown Sacramento. Near several good restaurants not to mention the food inside is above average. Rooms are super comfortable with good TV's channels, hot water and good views.

Visited for a conference. Really nice rooms and service for water, coffee. Spacious, elegant. Self parking is expensive, so park somewhere else or take public transit in. Rooms are smaller than you would expect on the club level. Really nice venue, professional and easy to navigate.

Rooms are nice, thermostat buttons didn't work great, and the toilet seat won't stay up, not a serious issue, however, it was pretty consistent that I heard them slam from other rooms throughout my stay

This hotel gives off a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere when you walk inside. The rooms are also spacious with nice windows so you can get a good view of the city. They also have suites that can accommodate a family of needed. The only thing i would be wary of is the hotel location. This place is very sketchy with all the homeless people around but they do a great job keeping those people out of the hotel.
