I ve stayed at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel several times on business out of necessity for its proximity to the airport and for points. The hotel is extremely dated and needed to be rejuvenated at least 10 years ago. The reception area is also always busy and there is little to no modern technology in the rooms, such as outlets on or near both night stands.
Stay here if you must, but the Alt Hotel a stones throw away is much better if you don t care about the points.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Pool and hot tub were nice. Huge downside is the AC. It turns off with. Not just when it reaches its desired temperature, but it actually full on shuts off. Probably a power saving thing but it kept my wife and I up at night as we need to cool to sleep. If you are like me and many others and prefer a cooler room to sleep I would not recommend staying here.
This staff is the less helpful I ever experienced. It s very disappointing. Everything you ask is a headache even if you pay. It s just no for every single answer. I have been staying 2 times for a month they don t even have fridge in their room. For the amount it s not acceptable. The staff is very unfriendly and particularly the manager: Abisheck. I will ask my company to move me somewhere else because I never been treated so bad in a Sheraton hotel.
Very convenient when doing an early morning flight from Pearson International Airport. Direct access to Terminal 3 and a short shuttle ride to Terminal 1. I loved the coat racks in the rooms, so much handier than a closet for overnight guests.
The hotel is a great location, right at terminal 3 Toronto airport. We had a park and fly package with them for 14 nights. So when we got home it was great to just walk across the street, no hassel. The hotel is clean and modern.
Was ok, bit overpriced, the room was bit outdated. Ice machine was the worst I've seen in all hotels I've stayed in ever... Plus side, the lobby looked amazing, the pool was great and the staff were friendly.
You can't beat the convenience of staying at the airport. Return the rental car below, hop in the elevator and arrive at the check in counter. In the morning, check out and walk across to the check in at the airport; all in doors. Love it.
Very convenient location when having to overnight at the airport. Room was very clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very friendly and check in/out very efficient.
Services were alright. Did run into problem with de-magnetized card and because the room was under another guests name they could not let me in and she was unavailable all day.
Typical to slightly upscale airport hotel. It is not right in the airport, but nearby and the Link train takes you right there. A slight hassle. Rhat was the reason for 3 star. Staff were fine. The man on the checkin reception desk was very clear on the time we need to allow to get to the airport and theough security.
Clean rooms that are in decent shape, but a lot of the details are worn. A bit pricey but the location while flying out the next day can't be beat. Connected by a bridge to Terminal 3. If you're in terminal 3 baggage claim the way up the the 3rd floor bridge is hard to find. The proper elevator is right next to the exit D doors to go outside.
Oh the beds ,the sheets at the Sheraton ..love it ! Convenient hotel for early morning check ins at airport. Store in hotel is way overpriced, so purchase things in terminal . Restaurant is pretty good , staff at check in are great and accommodating. Pool, gym, are great.
Decent food and drinks, but over priced for what you get. Expect the usual higher class bar fare, at the usual higher cost of an airport hotel. That said, our server Raj was spectacular and paitient with our group and very good conversation.
Clean, high-class, good customer service, only issue is that you can't call regular ubers from there, or I wasn't able to. Take the free shuttle to the alt hotel then call one from discount station.
We are bonvoyage members and often fly in late and leave early, therefore we appreciate the proximity of this hotel. However, they mess up our reservation every time.
My husband called in to say our flight was delayed and then proceeded to pay for our room and make sure we had the breakfast vouchers. But no. I still had to pay for the room and extra for any vouchers, and now my husband has to call in, again and complain. I wish there was another hotel in the airport... any hotel.
Convenient and beautiful hotel. Nice amenities for club access. Unfortunately, due to flight cancellations there wasn't time to find a good deal on the room. The price was pretty appalling for what we got.
I would actually have given this place a 5-star because I'm always here and the staff are amazing. Facilities, boardrooms and food is always great but the hotel needs updating especially the rooms. Time to spruce up the place.
I was at the Grill restaurant for brunch. I ordered the Tuna Nicoise. The salad was good but there was something off about the tuna; it wasn't very fresh. It was also extremely pricey, but that was expected considering it's a hotel restaurant.
Another thing that was pricey was the parking. It's the Terminal 3 parking lot, so you have to pay quite a substantial fee to park there.
The service at the restaurant was fine and the seating was comfortable. The meal just wasn't really worth it for the price being paid.
A very convenient hotel that is linked to the terminal. Awesome food in the restaurant and the bar. Clean rooms, discounts if you make reservations via their app vs on line or on the phone.
The bar: Great portions and pretty tasty good. I ate starters and I'm leaving totally stuffed and happy. Impressive service. Good (enough) variety of beer and reasonably priced. Only one cider - strongbow. The hotel: same as any decent hotel. Clean, tidy. Professional, friendly, courteous staff. Not much to dislike.
Good for a single night. I would have given it 5 stars but the bathroom counter was still dirty from the last guest (looked like round coffee cup stains etc). And the dresser was missing a door knob. A bit run down. I ll probably stay at the other airport hotel next time.
Pure garbage, not worth the money. We were stuck here after our flight was cancelled. The advertised price online was $159. Unfortunately we couldn't book online because it was 12:09am, so it wouldn't allow us to select the day before as a check-in date. Despite showing this to the front-desk agent, he said the price was $369/night. Absolutely outrageous.
They saw other people's misfortune of a cancelled flight as a cash grab. And being the only hotel in the airport, they knew people either had to pay it, or spend the time getting to another hotel. Seeing as how our flight leaves in six hours, time is quite precious at the moment. But $60+ per hour precious?
It's reasonably convenient for airport travel, but a premium price and a tired hotel. Worn carpeting, tired furnishings, gloomy hallways. It worked in a pinch, but I'm not sure we'd choose this hotel next time we stop in.
Everything about it is standard. Only good thing to say is LOCATION. Price is affordable. We spend 250 for a night. Inside airport. It's at terminal 3. Not 1.
The hotel is integrated nicely with Terminal 3 and a quick 2-minute airport people mover ride from Terminal 1. My room was clean and very quiet, despite looking out on the tarmac. The bar restaurant was disappointing. The tomato, cheese and arugula personal pizza was mostly dough and grease. It looked like a bargain basement selection from the supermarket freezer and was certainly not worth the $20.
Nice room, very convenient being connected directly to Terminal 3. Had an overnight layover and couldn't have asked for a more convenient stay. Beds are very comfortable.
I had a great sleep. The bed was super comfortable and room was very clean. The only two issues I have is I don't understand when I book a King bed and I arrive at the hotel should they not have a king bed for me. I booked a king bed and was given two doubles. The other thing was I wanted to grab a quick toast before heading to my appointment. I was at the restraunt for 40 min. When I got out of my seat and met my someone to help me they told me I needed to wait for server. Fine I waited another 10 min and finally got up again and said I have to go. The waitor began to tell me that I should have allotted 45 min to an hour for breakfast. Let me remind you I had toast and a glass of milk. Other then that everyone was friendly and room was good.
