Sheraton Colonial Boston North Hotel & Conference Center Reviews

This has been a 5 star every other visit! I really hope it was just because of renovations! The hotel only had a dingy double room available for my reservation. Very clean room but dark, dated and stained. Worst was it was directly on I-95 with no fence or trees to act as a vision or sound barrier. The hand rail in the shower had 2 screws fall out and the bathroom has no exhaust fan. I ended up setting the smoke detector off at 6AM because I left the bathroom door open and the steam set it off!
Staff here is FANTASTIC! I asked to please change rooms. I was given a king room on the other side of the hotel. Still could hear the highway traffic but this room was at least diagonal and had more distance.
Housekeeping, front desk, and restaurant staff are wonderful here. They are friendly polite and helpful. Everyone says hello.
I like staying here but I really hope next year it's back to a 5 star stay again!

Room was nice. Loved complimentary use of gym across the street. Buffet breakfast was good.

No pool or spa. 5 minute walk to athletic club nearby.

Not the friendliest or must knowledgeable front desk staff but the rooms were very clean. The restaurant staff was exceptional & made every morning fun!

Enjoyed my stay here but was disappointed to find the fitness facilities off-site.

Visited for a workshop, the facility was well presented and function rooms were nicely laid out. Breakfast and lunch spreads were varied and tasteful.

we book wedding and they give us a prices and promise to us things that never happen such like open bar, they also never ask what our preference such as chicken or stake and the food was cold .

Great staff. We came to visit a friend in town from WI and brought our newborn. The staff loved her and were quick and pleasant.

Rooms are average like quality inn. Breakfast buffet is barely a continental breakfast with terrible eggs and waaayyy too expensive at $18!

Very nice staff from the front desk top three restaurant. Great food and nice common areas. The rooms were a bit dated and the fixtures (lights, plugs, card slot for turning the heat on) were not functioning properly, but that didn't detract from the stay too bad.

Very well maintained. The outside gives you a misleading idea about this hotel, it is quite nice in side. Very clean and well taken care of. Its a bit far from Boston, but close to the highways and good bussines travel option.

This was our fourth time staying at this hotel. This visit we stayed in a room on the 11th floor which has been renovated recently. The updated room is very nice and clean. I especially appreciated the fact that there is a small border of carpet around the bed (for comfort when getting out of bed barefoot) while the rest of the room is actually click-laminate flooring. A little disappointed that the bathtub/shower has changed to shower only, but it is a great shower. The new A/C unit is very simple to use and heats up/cools down the whole room surprisingly quick. The bed and pillows are comfortable.
The front desk staff kindly gave us complimentary breakfast buffet as we were there for our anniversary. I would also like to point out that on our previous visit for our anniversary, the front desk sent a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries to our room as congratulations.

Easy check in, great location, manager greeted us, clean rooms, free parking. Air conditioner was a bit noisy, no in room fridge, and only one bottle of water in the room. Still highly recommended.

Really comfortable and nice spacious room for a decent price! We arrived around 2 am and had a reservation already, the front desk person was really helpful and very polite. Exceptional service!

I would give this zero stars but google does not have that option. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. They will charge you twice as much, and if you are not careful they may charge you twice. Yes, that happened.

It's a hotel. It's fine. Everything and everyone are very nice and helpful and pleasant. There's no breakfast, which is sad but not a big deal. There's a mall around the corner with food and a Whole Foods.

My meeting there was a living hell, but the building was super nice.

Used a conference room as a work space. Staff and accommodations were amazing

Comfortable rooms and beds. Staff treated our wedding party great. Breakfast buffet was good in the morning .

Room is small. No plug near bed to charge my phone. Can only watch TV from bed. If sitting at desk u can't see it. Only thing good about staying here is staff very friendly and nice

The Sheraton Four Points in Wakefield is a nice hotel and every once in awhile you can get a good rate they have a restaurant inside that also provides room service the only bad thing about the hotel is that it does not have a pool or a fitness center they did at one time offer passes to Boston Fitness across the way but it's different when the fitness center is not inside the hotel and it's always nice when they have a pool as an option but the hotel is large clean and has a very elegant look to it they have a special floor that you have special access to that provide you with snacks drink and dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning you do have to pay extra for that and sometimes it's worth it you are on a special for that your card Grant you access to and you have the free food in the morning afternoon and dinner

I'd like the hotel so far. They could be a bit more generous about the snacks they could put in the rooms

We stayed here during our honeymoon because it was close to Salem and that was our main attraction for the week. Our first night in a room was not the greatest, the light switch didn't work and the bathroom was insanely small (like you couldn't even use the toilet or close the door when you were in there) the bath tub leaked water all over the floor once you showered. We got the package for breakfast in the morning for 7 days, and only got 4 tickets for 2 people. So we got our room moved up to the towers for the remainder of the stay. The bathroom was bigger but still cramped. But at least the shower didn't leak. Housekeeping left our garbage in the middle of the room one night too. The carpet was torn up in the corner of the new room too, being held in spot by the chair in the room. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, but it could have been better, especially for the price we paid.

I've been to a few work related functions here. The function rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The food was decent for buffet style. I have no complaints.

It was a great hotel for our family. The rooms were clean and we liked the free Wi-Fi.

The hotel was great!!! The room was clean and comfortable! The staff was courteous, breakfast was delicious, the beds were super comfortable and clean as well! It was a great overall experience!

Lobby and staff are pretty good but rooms are tired, outdated and need better maintenance. Wi-Fi and breakfast were great but overall the room was overpriced for what it was. Luckily only stayed one night.

Pretty standard hotel, bar stocks craft beer, and it's within walking distance of a decent bar and number of eateries.

I enjoyed my stay here. Everything you really need in a hotel, the only thing I didn't like was my neighbor. Couldn't even talk with having them come over and ask us to be quiet.

I am in the area for work for 2 months and this is my hotel of choice. Easy access, lots of food places and shopping within walking distance. Great access to the Boston Health Club

Its a really nice hotel with fast internet speeds. When i was in the hotel with my friends next door to us lived the boogie man and kept screaming at us. BOOGIE MAN IF YOU ARE READING THIS, WE ARE SORRY THAT THAT CAN OF DEODORANT EXPLODED

Friendly staff, comfy beds, but the heater in my room was broken.

It was a very nice venue, and the food was excellent

Most hotels are pretty standard, you really don t know how good a hotel is until a situation arises, in our situation the staff made it worse and common sense never came into play. My stay at this hotel was HORRIBLE, and in trying to fix the issue I only became more stressed.

My daughter woke up to a ROACH on her bed. This was in a beautiful room with plenty of space and two beds. When we addressed what happened with guest services our situation only got worse. Although this hotel is pet friendly (which i confirmed prior to booking a room) they apparently only let pets in certain rooms and by a mistake on the hotels part the beautiful room with our unwanted roach roommate wasn t actually meant for guests with dogs. We were told they had another room available and then were led to a smoking section room; I was horrified when the hotel staff person opened the door to a gloomy room, that didn t smell fresh, only had one bed, no microwave and looked old and creepy. Because of this stunning DOWNGRADE I would not accept the room but were told this is a room that allows pets. I was not told when I called to confirm that only certain rooms are approved for guests with pets nor would I expect such a difference in the quality of the rooms.

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. But when I went to use the iron on my husband s shirt for a wedding. The iron left black stuff all over the white shirt. When I asked for a new iron one never showed up. Also had to check out early because of a sick child. They said no problem. But then charged me an additional night stay even though we weren t there and. If this was the policy that should ve been clearly stated before I got my receipt. Because my receipt showed one night my bank account show different.

Old old hotel. Cry out for reform. Cleaning is not very good. Very bad location. It is 20 km from Boston. I do not recommend it.

Very nice hotel and conference center. We attended a catered event downstairs and the menu was excellent. It far exceeded what I expected.

I stayed there during one of March 2018's Nor'easters. Staff was great and bent over backwards for their guests.

An older hotel, but friendly staff. Was only there for a quick overnight stay. Can be a little bit noisy if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise no other complaints.

One of the best hotels around... they provide free shuttle up to 4 miles and some time goes beyond that upon request... it s very close to market street mall with very nice restaurants and bars ... hotel offers you free access to Boston sports centre which very nice and walkable distance from hotel.. rooms are spacious and hotel staff is very nice and helpful to your needs ... inside hotel small restaurant is located and breakfast spread is decent....
