Went to shepherds to see DJ Jazzy Jeff. For being packed with spring breakers, service was decent.

I called and complained to manager about the xmas buffet How the food was dried out and about how some people were using their fingers to pick up the the food to put on their plates instead of using the proper utensils.
which was disgusting.
His response was i should have mentioned it at the time it took place and he could have handled it .so there nothing he could do now 3 days after xmas.
I thought i was being polite by calling instead of saying any thing at the time.
well after reading all the reviews for xmas day if he had handled it at the time it happened he would have had to shut the place down.

Pricey, but if you like to eat. This is the place to eat alot of good gourmet buffet food.

Highly embarrassed by the valets tonight . I am a local resident , paid my $20 to park just to visit friends who were staying there for the week The valet called me a middle aged woman as I drove away because I didn t tip enough . What type of people do you hire ??
I couldn t believe he said that to me and the other boys just laughed . poor customer service ! And to think I reccomenended this place to my friends .. NEVER AGAIN!

Spacious rooms of good clean comfortable and panoramic dancing area pools and beach with beautiful live music to be redone

The resort appears nice on the outside. But the rooms are mediocre. Pillows hard and non-feather (good for those with allergies). There is no hair conditioner available for you (so pack your own), the shampoo they do offer is probably the cheapest of sorts. The shower had barely any water pressure. The balcony was a nice feature out of everything.
The front desk staff was far from professional and often times needlessly rude. And this was on more than one occasion, otherwise I wouldn't make a point of it. The bar was a good go to for on site drinking if that's something you would utilize. Pools were nice and well kept. Two stars for service and simplicity. Wouldn't recommend out of all the other other options in Clearwater.

Very clean and friendly staff. The deck is very cluttered but drinks were reasonably priced and yummy. Would visit again..

I always loved the remodeled Shepards until tonight they harrassed me about a food order before 1am. Then never put it in. I asked at 1am where it was & they had me escorted out! Very unprofessional staff! I won't be back! U missed out on tips!$

Amazing location. We had such a great time, staff was great and facility was very clean!

Stayed at this resort for a wedding and a mini sisters vacation. Absolutely wondeful. Had a gulf view room. Views are spectacular, property well-maintained. Live music everyday and night. Good food and drinks. Double d to the t at the pool side bar is wonderful! I will say this resort is not really for families and kids. The music at night plays until 230 A. And by music, I mean edm dance parties. You will hear it in your room even with door closed . It didn t bother us as we read reviews prior to our stay. However , if you are wanting a quiet night this could be problematic for you . All in all, I will come back ! Wonderful! Thank you to the staff for making us feel amazing.

Pictures are very deceiving. .. Hotel is much smaller. . They put us above the club then say how noisy it is and try to downgrade us! Have seen NONE of the amenities shown on their website. Have to use the pool at the Holiday Inn next door! Very doubtful I would stay here again or recommend this place to family, friends or coworkers!

Nice place to go for late night drinks and entertainment. Staff was very friendly.

AC didn t work, Wi Fi was horrible. Some people could not even get reception on their phones. Sliding door would not slide. Restaurants and bars that were advertised in resort were not even open. Then added a $150 fee was added to credit card after we left. Would not recommend ever!!!

Modern, clean hotel right on the water. Nightly activity with bands.

I m getting a little old for this place but a lot of fun. Their is law enforcement everywhere, so u feel kinda safe.

Fun place, except Sundays. On Sundays late, they have mediocre djs instead of bands. They do have very good bands.

Excellent bands water front bar and grill and hotel. Gorgeous tropical Swimming pool or park your boat lay on their beach or come see their outside or inside entertainment.Sunday afternoons are totally incredible...Its why to came to florida...Dont miss it. Incredible!

Extremely disappointed. I've always enjoyed coming to Shephards for dinner in the past. I had been looking forward to this. This was to be my Mother's Day dinner and was also my anniversary. First it took nearly 20 min for the waitress to finally bring me my soda. In that time I never saw her pass by either to flag her down. The food was lacking, there were no mussels as advertised and everything else seemed unappetizing. The deviled eggs looked as if they'd been sitting for some time as the yolk on top was hardened and dark in color. I ended up only eating a small piece of poached salmon and some bread pudding all for $40. The waitress also never came back to the table to see if we needed refills or anything. She didn't return until we'd been sitting for a good 10 min no longer eating, we asked for the check, took another 8 or 9 minutes for her to bring the check out, then another 10 min to actually pick it up to charge the card. We had to stop on the way home so I could grab something to go home and make to eat because I was still hungry. I will not be choosing Shephards anytime soon in the future unless they have some serious changes in service and quality of food.

Beautiful room! Great service from housekeepers. Very helpful. Front desk...a lady took my friend's phone to view an email from Shephard's regarding resort fee ($11 vs $20 a night) and didn't return it for over 15-20 min. It made my friend feel very uncomfortable. My friend had to knock multiple times on the shut and locked door to the office to actually ask for her phone back and the lady said rudely "I am not finished yet!" There was a male employee standing there that understood the issue and dealt with us very professionally and quickly. I don't remember his name but five stars for him. The pool is clean. The tiki bar is fun with move music. Every thing shuts down by midnight. Holiday Inn is comparable at this point due to the club and tequila bar being closed. Otherwise we loved our room and the pool. If you want clear water though...this is on the bay and not clear water. Still lovely scenery though. Valet parking only. But Clearwater offers a free ride for tips only or uber or lyft. Jolly trolley as well but didnt see how or where to contact them.

Hotel is in a good location and has its own private beach, which is nice to avoid the public crowd. The downside to the beach is there is a TON of shells with not alot of sand so it eventually hurts to walk on all those shells. The tiki bar restaurant downstairs does play loud music so if you want a quiet retreat I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and our room even had a table with chairs which was very nice. We could also see dolphins from our Oceanside view which was neat also. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

If you want a party vacation, this is the place! Everyone from town comes here for that. Perfect place for a girls getaway or the under 30 crowd, not so much for just wanting a relaxing quiet vacation though. The club and outdoor music played til 2am then you had other drunk guest wandering the halls outside your room (loudly) until almost 4am. First night we arrived seen the police arresting a Shephards employee and then club patrons almost nightly afterwards (cops generally are just across the street at the gas station on weekends). Has valet parking which is nice and the Ocean flame restaurant has an amazing buffet.

Phenomenal weekend parties with live entertainment! This place made the beach very lively. Cutty Jones was on stage for my stay and was out of this world as well!

Ate at the restaurant. Food was decent, service was good. We've at there before and been impressed, but this last trip was a little lacking. The drinks were entirely too strong.

There was a cover to get into the bar after midnight. Kind of ridiculous.

Views amazing! We were top floor right across from stage it is definitely loud but we knew what we were getting into before we booked, if u dont want entertainment find somewhere else!! Ian at the restaurant was one of the best servers we have ever had, everyone at table commented on how attentive he was with out being annoying...... pool very nice, beach was cleaned up in the morning! Alot of staff on sight.

The food here was delicious. I don't like seafood but the items that weren't were amazing and fresh. If my family and I ever return it will be a must for me! The waiter ( I didn't catch his name from Greece) was hands down the friendliest and best waiter I've ever experienced.

Great outdoor music. We came here by shuttle to go out for some drinks. They had the music going, great drinks, great server, and the beach was right in front of us. It was the perfect night.

Great little spot with great little bars and seating. Really cool place but it gets crowded so that will delay your drink orders very much at times... So tip well your first drink and you'll get service faster.
Seating can be difficult for larger parties but plenty of seating in general.

The tile on the shower floor and tile on the wall looked like the dirt and grime had not been cleaned out of it for a while. Granted, this may seem small, but to someone on a fixed budget, this is another matter. This hotel may have a fancy name and all type of amenities on the premises, but it s customer relations are The Pitts.

We staid here from 30 September through 3 October 2018. We were part of a USMC Reunion of an outfit I served with in Vietnam. Our room was the bedroom part of a suite on the 5th floor of the hotel. The person renting the suite was gracious enough to let us use the bedroom part of the suite.l

We had originally planned on leaving Thursday morning, 4 October; however, the person picking up our mail at home called us in the evening of 3 October and advised us we had a kitchen full of water from a sink that had somehow overflowed. Needless to say we started home, some 300-350 miles away, so we could deal with it when the sun came up.

We packed in a hurry and left thinking we had packed everything, but when we got home, we found that we left our 2 wedge pillows that were on the bed under the other pillows the hotel furnished. We both have bad reflux, and having these 2 wedge pillows is a great help. Granted, we left them, even as unintentional as it was. No problem admitting that. We immediately called the hotel when we noticed we left them, asking for their cooperation in locating the pillows and our making arrangements to recover them. As of this post, cooperation from this hotel is non-existent.

We have talked to everyone from the supervisor at the desk to housekeeping with adamant denials of locating our pillows. We were passed on the phone from one person to another who seem to care little or less. We have left numbers with staff to be returned, but we have received no call back. There is no excuse for this.

This is speculation on my part, but after serving as a law enforcement officer for 37 active years and seeing hotel staff convert found or left property to their own use, I would be willing to bet this is what happened. I also have the victim of a hotel doing this, and when I mentioned filing a police report, my property mysteriously turned up. For the record, it was not this hotel.

Granted, these pillows may sound like nothing to who reads this, but they are rather expensive, especially for someone on a fixed budget. If it were worth my time and money to prosecute an offender in this matter I would report it to the Clearwater Police and follow up on it. Driving over 300 miles and spending time in court for this is not worth it. Reporting it this way so that anyone else who stays here will be aware of it is.

WARNING- DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL.
This was the worst expirence I ever had. The staff was so unprofessional and rude. They do not respect anyone and lied to my family on the phone about available rooms because they didn't want us to stay there. We called back after the hung up on us, and the staff lady said, I quote, "Welcome to Walmart!" and kept pressing buttons whenever we would spreak. Absolutely horrible, never go there! They shouldn't even be in business.

We hung out outside on the beach listen to an outdoor band it was great

Been going to shepherd's since I was a kid. I have always loved this place. Nice hotel and the bars and clubs are so fun!

Terrible. Cant run a concert venue. Long line to get in. Shirtless people. Someone on the phone said there was a dress code.

Fabulous beach bar! Great live bands day or night. Club on property. Pool areas amazing. Lounge areas. Hands down best trendy beach resort for the area

I was told things when making reservations that was not accurate which caused additional charges upon check in. This made me feel as though I was cheated. I was also charged additional charges after checking out. I called to have it straightened out after an argument to do so with the front desk staff. Then entire experience seemed as though I was dealing with dishonest people. That is not the experience I was looking for during my get away.

Usually have a great time here but my husband and I went there this weekend like usual, it s an hour and a half drive mind you, we always valet the car and leave the key fob for the 2017 corvette in its place, we hung out for a while then went to leave gave the gentleman at valet our ticket, another man pulls the car around and we head home, get all the way home just before midnight and no key in the spot we left it, we call Shephards and they swear up and down we got the key and just dropped it, finally a man that works there Ryan was nice enough to drive over half way to meet us to get the key back, without the key we couldn t shut the car off or even get out.

Bar tenders seem to forget who is next on line and take care of other guests that just walk up to the bar.

Beware bad place. Not for relaxation! Bartender Raphel was sooo rude!

Partial view was fine. Private beach was well maintained and convenient. Sunday night is a full blown party so come prepared to play or hide in your room with ear plugs. Lots of fun. Room had great kitchenette. WiFi was painfully slow so forget about quick web browsing or streaming movies.

I was worried about the music being too loud and the crowd being too young, but it turned out to be a great deal. Good music, great food and drinks, and a nice pool/beach area. Good assortment of people of all ages, including a few families. We got a city view room, and it was virtually silent. We could go out and enjoy the music, and go back to the room and sleep easily. Nice, clean room, too. We'll definitely be back.

Great spot for beach fun with delicious food. I loved the blackened fish tacos. And the large dance floor with live band. Our room looked out over it all and you could watch the sun set!

Small beach areas clogged with jet skis or boats not leaving much room to swim or move around.
No maid service the entire week. We finally had to call to get a broom brought up because the sand was driving us nuts.
The staff was friendly and always helpful.

the negative reviews were dead on accurate, if your with your family stay away , stay far away from this place, its a nightmair they checked us in late, my dauther was assaulted by the pool from some drunk, she came upstairs crying and shaking, i went down by the pool to brake the guy jaw, but couldnt find him, the managers hide in there office and wont come out, It took 15 minutes of threatening to call the police before the manager finally came out of his office , I explained what happened and told him we have to cancel our room , my kid cannot come down to the pool she is to freaked out from what happened , he said Oh well. there is nothing he can do !!
he tried to charge me for the whole week , can you believe it. i argued for around 30 minutes with this guy, and got him to waive the week, but he still charged me for 2 nights , even though we checked out in the morning, FYI we had to ware our flip flops in the room the floor was so dirty and room was filthy ,and the base from the music in the night club below us was shaking the room and beds until 4 AM this place was the worst place i ever stayed at for a family vacation, the positive review have to be fake, stay away, stay far away , the negative reviews are true, and this is the first review of anything I ever wrote but thought it was important to write for folks going on vacation to know ,much more better options folks

I visited Shephard's for a friend's 30th birthday. We came for the buffet, between 10-2:30 a.m. and it was very laid back. The service was great and there were options for vegans and vegetarians too. It was a beautiful day overlooking the beach.

Very clean and inviting. We had a small concern that was addressed immediately and professionally. Small private beach was nice and quiete. Rented jet skis right there and had a blast! Then spent several hours playing in the pool. We will be coming back!

I had a great vacation here. It has everything you could ask for

It was nice went in the evening. They have valet and convenience store in the lobby. The food was ok for the price. Paid an addition 10 dollars per person for crab legs.

We have stayed here before but this time highly disrespected. Never again!

My sugar baby and I vacation here often and we have a great time.

I reserved a cabana and cancelled it due to inclimate weather. I was still charged my deposit even though the weather was bad. I was then treated poorly by a bartender because I don t drink and he didn t want me at his bar. Then as I was trying to leave someone stopped me because I had a cooler. I m a competitive bodybuilder and have to eat regularly. This place doesn t care if you have an enjoyable time. They want to make sure you have to eat their food and make every penny from you that they can. Regardless of how it affects you. I will never be back. EVER...

2 Chairs and Umbrella at the beach cost extra money ($25) but Free at the Pool.
Great view from balcony facing beach but extremely loud from Music playing downstairs. Make sure to bring earplugs.
Do not leave anything of value in car while valet.
