Buffalo shrimp and chicken tenders are bomb. Club security is horrible. They are mean and judgemental. Had a wristband on and walked in, showed my wristband, and 2nd guy nearby questioned me. Didn't appreciate that it's not fort knox in there and nobody was even here so...

Great location. Right on the beach. Not a resort for families. Night club music literally shakes the walls in your bedroom. Couldn't open the door to let the air in and hear the beach because of the pot and Jul smoke. Geared toward spring breakers. Rooms could use updating and definitely better beds.

We bought a room for a weekend for a birthday party because they advertise themselves as a "party hotel" but it was anything but that...

Horrible security staff that ended up harassing our group the entire weekend we stayed. We had a private table and bottle service, but the security made it impossible to have a good time. They would stand right next to our table and watch us for what seemed to be the entire evening. Watch out for security officer Steve as he is rude, unprofessional, and will take advantage of guests.

For what you end up paying, the rooms really aren't that great, and their private beach is tiny. The pool area was one of the only areas that we had a nice time, and enjoyed ourselves.

The establishment should really look at reconsidering itself as a "party hotel" because it was not a fun party at all like they made it out to be.

Will NEVER WASTE MY MONEY HERE AGAIN, and would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!

As a world traveler I have received better customer service in 3rd world countries. Nicolas the night time manager is terrible and he should not have a job in hospitality at all. If I spoke to patients they a ay he spoke to me I would loose my nursing license!!!! I am surprised that the resort allows people like him to work let alone be in charge.

Nice hotel. Beach is very narrow. DJs and bands outside on the deck. Mojitos have very little booze in them.

The beach and bar area were very nice. Watching the sun set over the water was beautiful. The event was fun with a diverse crowd. Their dress code, however, seems arbitrary and wasn't published anywhere ahead of time. The dress code available on their website was not followed, there were different rules. Oh, and the drinks were moderately priced, much cheaper than I expected.

Went on a Sunday evening to see a famous dj play. The stage and the dance floor were nice and there was a beach area on either side to enjoy a bit of quiet and a view of the water.

The ocean glame buffet is so good. A ton of great options for just about everybodies palette. Pretty pricey but I suppise you get what you pay for. I dont lile that they added a 10 dollar fee to get unlimited crab legs though, that used to be included! Still delicious.

Fun spot for friends. Can get a little rough around the edges depending on the time of year and time of day, but service is always decent and so is food. I ve never stayed in a room so this is strictly the pool/bar scene review.

We were going specifically for the beach. We wanted to stay at a hotel that was actually on the beach and this hotel is for sure not on the beach. We were really disappointed the photo on their website is very misleading and their beach is so small no more than 4 people could lay out comfortably. There were huge gigantic rocks on the beach and jet skis. We ended up canceling our reservation which was really costly and stayed at the Hilton. The area of the hotel we did see looked clean and the pool looked nice. However if you're looking for a hotel on the actual beach DON'T book here. Don't let the photo on their website fool you if you're wanting to stay on the actual beach

Nice rooms, but their live music every night is an outdoor concert that keeps you up until after midnight.

The night entertainment is spactcular. You have to find at the seafood buffet, it is amzing!

Fun, clean, and friendly. Love the amebtities (pool, bar, live music). Nothing is better than laying on the beach and being able to walk to your room. The beachfront is very nice, and the jetties reduce wake from passing boats. We saw many dolphins and manatees pass by in the few days we were there. The sand is the nice white quartz sand. Gorgeous pool, perfect for families. Our room was so clean and comfortable. All of the staff were endlessly helpful and pleasant.

Enjoyed the food at the seafood buffet. Parking was valet only but validation for free parking was included with the meal.

Beautiful BEACH. And if u like Head Banging Music. U will love this place. Very clean room overlooking the gulf. Very nice.

Went to get a couple of drinks in the back beach area. Once I arrived they had complementary valet parking which was a great relief, went to the back area where they have the beach with a stage and bar area. Did not try the food but it did smell great and looked good.

Went to have appetizers and drinks during Happy Hour. It was a good time. The live music also made it fun!

Place is crowded but you would expect it to be because of the beach view ! Server was friendly and food was good.

The beach and pool are great. Drinks and food are very affordable. Staff are accommodating and courteous. I would not recommend the Ocean Flame buffet for dinner however. Although the food was good, I dont think the price matched the quality. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location, I completely plan on returning, and I 100% recommend the buffalo shrimp out by the pool.

Shephards has a beautiful view. The restaurant and night clubs are great. Friendly staff.

I stayed there a few nights ago and the valet service was atrocious. Every time I got my car or dropped my car off they very rudely got in my face and started telling me I had to tip them and that they get paid off tips. I felt this was extremely inappropriate, unnecessary, and presumptuous. Not only was I was going to tip them anyways, but this made me very uncomfortable and ruined the entire night for me.

Good food great atmosphere. Walking the beach after was so nice. A little pricy so wont be back soon but i would go back!

Used to go to shephards when they catered to locals from Pinellas County and surrounding areas. People from Tampa as well. Now it is a tourist trap and has lost that loving feeling.

Spectacular all around! Vallet quick and friendly, the outdoor bars with great water views (and access for the jetski if wanted), great menu, friendly bar staff, and terrific gift shop in case you need something cute for the pool area. Oh and live band!!! I'd drive the hour and 20 minutes again just for this place.

Such a disastrous experience ever, from the service of hostess, the bartender to the food was absolutely horrible. To make matter even worst when I called them to explain to the Food and Beverage manager on 5/18 for the second time he was even more rude acting as if he owns place didn t want resolve the issue I was having, over talking me and accusing me of lying. I will never come here ever again the first time is my last time

Looks at the reviews. Beware of bought local guide reviews!!! Visited on 7/23/19 had a the most horrible waitress, we had to chase her down to get drinks, Another waitress brought the food to the table and just started handing food out because she didn t know who ordered what,, Multiple wrong drinks, Left a 20$ tip and the waitress had the audacity to ask us if the tip was correct while we were walking out the door. Really? Food was mediocre, Service was Horrible,,

Great place for a fun/party style get away weekend. It's not laid back or quiet so don't plan on going to bed early.

Hostile environment security officer has nasty attitude, And was reported to hotel manager. Nothing was accomplished.. Will not recommend ever again. Hope some one really do something about it. It's not how much u spend treat people like family... We were profile no harm done Always used to it... I have been there when it was a small place always liked it but big changes now comes with attitude... Hope something can be done.. Thank u.

I loved the excellent hotel resort in Clearwater Beach. Impeccable room with beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico.

Decent rooms, terrible food. They try to squeeze you for more money, such as the $4 water they put in your room, renting beach chairs, overpriced drinks or charging $20 to replace a cheap plastic bracelet. If you factor in the location and the price, there are much better options out there. The private beach is very small.

If you are here to hang out and the pool and drink all day, this would be your place. I would not recommend bringing a family here!

Really enjoyed 3 nights at Shepherd's. Tiki deck and live entertainment, nice pool and beach area. No reason to leave the premises if you don't want to. Tiki deck at night was a great time at night

Great place, especially from 17:00 when the Seafood Buffet is opened. Awesome sunset.

The music is so loud not even earplugs will help if your trying to sleep before 2am. Small beach area and small pool. Do not stay here

This is an awesome place to have drinks and watch live entertainment on the beach.

I come here every year for a few nights on the beach! It s clean fun and beautiful! Tommy the bartender remembers me every year he s amazing and a huge asset to your team! Chris our server was great too! Linda the morning server in the breakfast side was so very sweet and friendly too. Thanks Chase for helping me with the patio door issue! I ll see you all soon! Didn't like the food and I complained to the manager about the server adding extra tip on what I left and his response is not to comeback there anymore and I will take his advice and I will not put my feet on this place ever again on the restaurant/bar.

Drinks were kind of expensive. We paid 16 bucks for 4 beers. An umbrella flew off its stand and whacked my brother. Not an overall amazing experience

The seafood buffet was amazing, the service very friendly and prompt and not to mention the outside view...wow. This is definitely a 5 star for a good meal!!

11/18/2016 - 11/21/2016 - we were very disappointed with the whole experience, our room did not have a kitchenette, the room furniture is old and the mattress is very bad.. the worst thing is the Music, it was too load and we could not sleep, even when the Music stopped at 2:00 AM the drunk Gusts were fighting in the hallway.. There was only one Elevator working, the food at the restaurant is poor at best with very high prices. we had to pay $25 for beach chairs .. For the money it is not worth it at all, i would explore other resorts... WK

Brunch was delicious and a good value for the price . Our server was excellent. . Perfect place for Sunday brunch

Great room over looking the pool, can be loud but music was turned down by 1230 can't complain about it at all.

The hotel was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We had lunch at the tiki restaurant and it was little pricey and not good. We checked out pool towels with our room number and set them on 2 empty chairs and went to the tiki bar to grab a bite to eat which is directly behind the pool. Within 30 mins we see a family sitting at the chairs we had our towels on and was told there were no towels on the chairs and to take it up with the guy checking out the towels. I went and explained the situation and the employee said he walks around and collects the towels from chairs that seem vacant or he doesn't see any "Personal Items." He apologized and fixed the situation but it s the principle that bothered me. We as guests have to "check-out" towels if you want to use the hotels by filling out a card with amount of towels, room number, name etc. and return when done. If guests are responsible to return the towels then why does an employee walk around and collect them. The restaurant onsite called the Ocean Flame only had a breakfast buffet and a seafood buffet for dinner at a pricey cost per person so we had to leave the resort each day and night for food. We did eat the breakfast buffet the first morning and we had an interesting experience sitting on the patio with a wild bird that the staff call George. The bird walked across our table and took eggs right off our plate and constantly stocked us until we gave up and left the table. Friday night we went down to the pavilion area to watch the live entertainment and were approached by security and asked for ID and then we were told you have to be 21 and older to sit at the pavilion. I was infuriated because we were there to enjoy the entertainment and I asked before booking about the age restrictions since we were celebrating my sister 18th birthday. The noise from the night club that started from 9 pm-2:30 am every night Wed-Sun was awful, mind you we were on the 6th floor in the same building as the night club which was located on the 1st floor and we could hear the bass vibrating off the windows and walls for 6 hours straight so no matter how comfortable the beds were we did not get much sleep at all. I finally made a complaint to the front desk, spoke with Michael, about the noise the second night and was advised it s going to happen no matter what and the night club closes at 2:30 am and that the resort prides on being the "#1 entertainment resort with their state of the art surround sound. He told me to go to the front desk in the morning and try to get a different room. Saturday morning I went down to the front desk where I spoke with Jose who was very nice and apologetic, he tried to find us another room but they were completely booked so he stated he was going to refund the resort fee which was $20 per night. The night club charged $15 for under 21 which I thought was steep, especially for hotel guests. When I asked about the age restriction for the club, the front desk never mentioned the cost for guests. The rules were super strict for underage which made my sister feel so uncomfortable that she sat on a bench and did not move at all, she felt that she couldn't even ask for a water or soda. 2 days after check out, I checked my bank account and was only refunded 1 night of resort fees so I called the hotel explained the reason for my call and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then a woman gets on the phone named Valerie and she stated she was the front desk manager. She wanted to know why I was having the resort fee refunded because there were no notes in the system on my account. I briefly explained who I spoke with at the resort and the situation and she stated why would we refund you the resort fee, it is there for you to have to pay. I advised her a staff member brought up the gesture to refund me the resort fee due to an unpleasant experience and was unable to relocate me not because I was seeking money. I felt a mere $40 was nothing to show that they were actually sincere about my unpleasant stay.

Loved it. Had a great view of the beach. I walked right out my room and I was at the pool and the bar.

Excellent customer service and great seafood. The view is amazing also. Took my girlfriend here and we both loved it.
