Nice place to hang out by the water. I love the buffalo shrimp I get it every time I go. The club is also really nice great vibes and a good time.

This was our second stay at Shepard's. We love the location with the semi private beach area with calm water. The pool area is great and spacious. We enjoy the live music. We have two kids it's never bothersome to us. Room accommodation are clean, comfortable, and very spacious. We love Clearwater and our stays at Shepard's!

Nice, little dance floor in the club. Nice views outside, a bit pricey. Nice over all.

will not recommend to anyone they try to screw you on every little thing. watch out for bartenders they will try and overcharge at the end of nights. make sure you take pictures of room because they try to charge for everything they can after.

Had a great time staying there. Tons of amenities, entertainment and food options on the property alone.

The best place for love entertainment on the water.

We had the buffet on a Saturday night. It was the only place with all you can eat crab legs. The buffet was worth the $30 each but the crab legs where over cooked. They were still good but you had to work to eat them.

What a great scene! Great people watching, good live music venue right on the beach! Drinks good and service really good as busy as it was! A definite stop if your just visiting!

The pool bar closes at 600 and if you go to the other bar they make you order food if you want a drink. All i needed was 2 virgin pina coladas for the kids. We had to go next door to the Holiday Inn pool to order drinks. Lame

Convenient valet parking with best prices, excellent drinks, terrific food, friendly employees, and good music.

For starters my husband and I have been coming here for about 10 years now. The hotel is nice. We walk in to the room, check the mattresses ( ocd about bed bugs) we find a sock, ear bud,and a used condom. I bring it to management's attention the get it refreshed and issue us a breakfast buffet voucher for 4. Us and our friends. Well 18%gratuity and drinks we had to pay. Which is understandable but the buffet was terrible gratuity was $13 for someone to just bring us drinks.... the pool and hot tub shuts down at 11 which is new because we've gotten in it at 2-3am before. Not happy about any of it and were not hard to please at all.

Sunday brunch is great, free valet, bars outside, don't get much better.

All of the employees are so nice and happy to help you with any questions. Our room was super clean and the food/ drinks and live music is wonderful!

If the idea of sleeping in the middle of a night club is what your travel dreams are made of, by all means, book here. This stunning facility on a beautiful little patch of white sand on the gulf is basically ruined by the trashy crowd it draws with its outdoor night club (yes, outdoor). The police were on site all weekend because of how much trouble these people cause. Seriously look up views for the nightclub. It is wild. They advertise as an entertainment resort but they need to be more transparent. There is a big difference between a nice live band until midnight and a club so loud it shakes the lamp on your bedside table until three a.m. every night. When I asked a staffer if we would feel any relief during our stay, he slapped a smug smile on his face and essentially mocked me for not reading the resort's site. But I did. See my comment above about how vague their definitions of entertainment are. Also, maybe don't be rude to the people paying to stay at your resort. Just a thought. They're going to respond to this and tell me that I should have booked an island view room but again, I did not expect the noise to go to three in the morning for an OUTDOOR venue when the place is surrounded by other resorts. Common sense has no home here. Also, that wouldn't have saved me from the blackout drunk people taking the party back up to their rooms at three and screaming all night. Book elsewhere if you want to relax at all.

This is the best place for entertainment on Clearwater beach by far. Live bands every night. Be prepared to pay resort prices for your drinks at the bar, but well worth the visit

It's not for family and kids only for drugs and illegal activities security do nothing they police activities inside no privacy no customer service concerns about collect money take a look before making any reservation

Wonderful resort. With outside entertainment and an inside club if that s what you like. Beach was beautiful food was good. Great experience

Had a great time hanging out at the beach, the outdoor "club" and bar experience, dancing and having fun with friends, seeing the "pirate ship" sail into the sunset. Awesome room and view as well.

Manager no ready nor prepared to deal with public or negative opinions. Food with very bad taste. Worse flavor and less quality than Chinese buffet but a 400% higher price. Went home with nausea.

I ve never left a review before & only leaving this one because I was hesitant on staying after reading several iffy reviews.. The staff has been amazing! We arrived a few hours early and our room was not ready so we hung out by the pool after checking again on our room a man named Nick upgraded our room to a amazing room to get us in faster he was beyond helpful and nice! The room is super clean BIG and very comfortable! I look forward to so many more vacations here at Shepard s! Please don t be hesitant if you read a bad review as I was.. Shepard s has exceeded my expectations! Love it!

MY CLEARWATER BEACH FAVORITE. Instead of going to the public beach, we go here. Valet parking less than public parking. They have cabanas, full bar and live music.
They even have a new video wall on stage.. Fun place...

My family and I chose Shephard's Beach Resort for our Thanksgiving gathering even though we are locals. It's the best place for us to be together with out of town family so we don't have to worry about packing everyone into our home. The location is beautiful and central, the quality outstanding, and the staff is young and friendly.

Nice setting , Amazing view but close to the pricey end. Customer service has been always good and courteous. good choice for a midweek date or a dear family member birthday

Thought i was gonna have a nice relaxing mini vacation. But no. I spent good money to stay at this hotel but got kicked out of the bar area because I had my own drinks. Who doesn't go on vacation and buy their own drinks. I understand that at night they turn into a night club but to kick us out and no even give us chance to toss out drinks and buy one of theirs but no they asked us to leave for the night. Not a good way to treat your guests. I'm native to Tampa and choose shephards because I like this place but not any more.

Outside bar is pretty much white trash land. The bartenders are full of attitude and nnot personable. Hotel rooms are very good though.

Awesome place to have a great time,the DJ was so good that he had everyone dancing most of the night and the live pre show was incredible

The buffet was amazing. The best part was the price.... Well worth it.

Place has kind of gone downhill. Security guards are just picking fights with people but good prices and if you're not 5 feet tall and 40 pounds they will usually let you be.

Fun atmosphere. Classy gulf front hotel. High priced drinks. I'm thinking domestic beers were $12! Breakfast buffet was $15 and the worst buffet I've even been to. Food was cold, greasy, and just terrible tasting. One dish was so salty it made my tongue sting. I did not eat more than a bite of everything. The waiter took my plate and never asked if there was a problem. I ended up telling him and the hostess how disappointed I was and my complaints. All I got was an apology. I was unable to speak to a manager or get a refund I requested. I have called to speak to the manager twice and left messages. I have not received a call back. Terrible management and terrible food.

We were looking for a quick getaway instate. A friend recommended Shephard's so we booked it.



The pool has tons of room and lounge chairs. The beach has chairs /umbrellas for rent ($25/day for 2 lounge chairs and umbrella). Jet skis available for rent too. Food service available right on the beach too. Great restaurants and fun within walking distance. Sat on our balcony listening to live music but it wasn't loud enough to fall asleep. We will definitely go back.

Didn't stay, just went for drinks and music. It's ok. Parking is a nightmare though, you pretty much HAVE to valet. I hate valet. To each their own, but I would pay more to self park if it was available.

Loved my stay here! So clean and well kept and the service was phenomenal. A little sad I went in the winter time and couldn't take advantage of the pool too much. But definitely a great hotel!

What an awesome beach view and place. Live music and the Clearwater fun spot for all ages.

I would've given SBR 5 stars, because the rooms and the live bands are wonderful. However, after our wonderful waitress, Bri Bri's shift ended, we were not served for 90 minutes, while others were served around us. We were told that noone told them to serve us while we sat . The next night same issue. We finally got a manager who sent us the most wonderful waiter. But it took two tries. They could do better.

Nice Hotel good music but very unhappy with the Valet . Our rental was scuffed on the bumper clearly done there as we only drove the car a few miles before checking it and the crud was still hanging off. Filed two complaints and the manager never contacted us. Hotel claims that Valet is a 3rd party vendor but It's their vendor they need to make sure they do the right thing

Shephard's is always a good place to go even if your a local.

Nice resort. Very active. Live music most nights. Good restaurants. Nice views. Lots of stuff to do in the area.

Everything wad good the food and the atmosphere but the valet parking was rude.!!! And to pay 3.00 an hour to park valet I think it's too much!!!

This is the classiest tiki bar and dance floor on Clearwater beach.

We went to the night club. It was one of the best times I've had in Clearwater. If you like fun things, please check this place out at night. Sunday's they have specials all night and very very cheap drinks. This place was my favorite spot on my trip.

Amazing resort! Staff was extremely friendly. Beds were very comfy. Live entertainment. Staff constantly walking around pool to see if you need anything.

Great place, could be even better... first it should be a 21 and over resort... I'm not sure why kids would be at a resort that features 3 bars and a night club with music banging till 2am... second the breakfast buffet was horrible, that could make a big difference in the place... I'd also like to see a nicer work out area, larger with glass windows looking out to the water. Also the beach chairs should not cost money to lay on for hotel guest. That is just plan cheap. The music during the day was great... the view from the room was amazing.. the only think that was off was Friday and Saturday night they had the same band play the exact show.. that was less then impressive.. and very disapointing. Other then that this place is beautiful and extremely clean and well taken care of... the staff was great. I'd def. Come back and tell others to come as well...

Resort is a blast .. It is party central dont bring the kids ha ha no sleeping between 10am-3am eapecially of you have a room gulfside deep bass beats shaking you to the core!

Sundays are fun whenever I visit Clearwater and I'm around on a Sunday this is my usual go to..

Hotel 3 * .. small beach. Well located. Old rooms .. but correct and clean. Recommended for young people who like to enjoy good live music at night .. as they play different bands .. if you play rooms that overlook the pool .. they are noisy because there is the stage

Wonderful hotel with so many amenities and so very clean.
Every staff member were so very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are so modern and clean.The beds were so very comfy,we didnt want to even get up!! Hotel is set on a nice beach surrounded by activities for your pleasure.Very nice pool and Tiki bar.....the only set back for the older generation was the loud music on the weekends that played till 1am which kept us awake...other than that I highly reccomend Shepard's Hotel!!
