The atmosphere makes this the best concert venue in Florida. No doubt this is the oceanfront resort to head to on Sundays

As you may know, a Shephard's employee killed two people while driving home drunk from work one night. The resort was sued, and they agreed to not allow their staff to drink anymore. They still do. Andrew, their in house promoter, routinely gets drunk and cheats on his wife inside the resort. I know because I have seen it with my own eyes.

Now, let's go back for a minute...

A while back, I went to Shephard's one night. I wasn't feeling to well, and quietly milked a beer at the bar. Up to this point, I had been going there for years, and have spent hundreds over that time. That night, I just wanted a nice quiet night. The bar was slow. I went over to the bathroom. When I came out, two creepy security guards were waiting for me. "Will" said to me "You don't look like your usual self tonight. Leave and come back another day".

What a disrespectful thing to say to a regular customer who has always been polite and courteous! Their security staff is creepy and aggressive. I'm not the first person to say it.

I will REMOVE this review if they apologize, call me and invite me over for a complimentary drink.

Right on beach, beautiful, very loud at night, as there is a club, ear plugs didn't work...had 2br...staff friendly!

Do they even clean this place??!! IT'S DISGUSTING! My room stunk terribly, the sheets were stained, the shower was covered in scum, the toilets were dirty and there was hair on the bathroom floors. Even their pool had scum all around the edges! They refused to change me to another room nor do anything for the inconvenience. This place is a joke!

Good food. Friendly and diligent server. I was a bit grossed out that was food droppings on the floor under the table I was sitting at

For $39.95 per person brunch you would expect amazing food. For that much money you would expect better quality bacon! There is prime rib, cold snow crab legs and peel a part shrimp and an omelette bar all of which I didnt eat. There was a large selection of food but most of it was like cafeteria style food. The staff is very friendly and attentive! But qfter paying $150 for my family of 4 to eat breakfast my advice for you is to think about how much food you will eat and if you will get your money's worth.

Awesome stay! Balcony overlooking the pool and the gulf was beautiful. Restaurant was a lite fancy for our taste but all staff on the resort was first rate!

Went to the Ocean Flame, it was outstanding, a large selection of seafood and ribs, roast beef, even sushi.

Love it. Super chill. Listening to music, eating good food on the big screen. Chris is fabulous. Food great. Good environment for anyone. Huge TV thingy. Is beautiful. You can take your kids, or not. Either way, it's a good time

Not impressed at all...not a fan of the staff. Staff was extremely rude and does not resolve issues very well at all! The manager on duty...well i have nothing nice to say about her. They do not take responsibility for their staff and do not help when you ask for it. The room was ok, fridge didn't work and kept nothing cold, when i told the staff, they said it was turned down...it was all the way up. The biggest issue was the bed. I don't even know where to begin. The issue was not seen until the next morning, went to the front office and the brought up a brand new mattress and all new bedding, upon check out, the female manager on duty said it was our fault but not charging us for the damages. Upon their investigation, they said it was our fault, but you give us a new mattress and don't charge us? Makes no sense. In other words if the bed looks untouched the hotel cleaning staff does NOT change the bedding! WILL NOT COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL OR EVEN RECOMMEND IT. But i have great pictures of the surrounding area!!

This place was absolutely beautiful and gives access to so many different activities there's never a dull moment everyone in the family can have fun at a reasonable price

The service at Shephards was amazing! The bartenders, security, table service, all of it was outstanding. The food was quick, hot, and filling!

The staff profiled someone I know for dancing. He was kicked out for dancing on a private balcony to the room that he paid for. This is unacceptable behavior that should not be tolerated. Please review and replace the management running this location. Thank you.

Buffet selection pretty limited. We paid extra per person for the bottomless crab legs. But other than that, not much selection at the buffet.

I don't go there anymore and everyone who asks me will tell about my experience with my family, excellent cleanliness, very expensive food, you can't have any offers if you're Hispanic, they don't rent you the only fun offered by the fragment of superchica beach that the hotel has hotel for bathing and the show, despite the quality of the artists, there is no variety for all tastes, that makes the minority enjoy it and the majority do not.

This place is awesome!! Good vibes, great beach! The fish tacos were on point!! Live entertainment too!!

Stay here if you like a leaky tub, someone elses hairs hair, pubic hairs and orange mold in the tub. Also hairs all over the floor by the bed. We left after they failed to actually clean the second time we called housekeeping. They would not refund our money. Terrible. I have stayed in a nicer hotel in Tijuana for $20.

Didn't stay at this resort but enjoyed there beach bar/club. Lots of fun. Drinks were a bit high for the size. But all in all its nice.

Best seafood buffet here. Clearwater beach is worth the drive just to eat here.

SO MUCH FUN..workers were so helpful..music on the water was a great time.

I loved it. We came and stayed for one night. The restaurant was to die for. Everything I had on the buffet was great. The beds were comfortable. The night life was great. They had a band and music outside and a dj in the club. It really was a great get away.

Their Sunday parties are the best. Great deals on drinks and great dance music.

Great place right on the water. Super fun atmosphere on a Saturday night with live and DJ music. The all you can eat buffet was OK but I would pass on it next time.

The rooms were nice and clean. The room was facing the gulf and had a pool view. One complaint I have is that in order to get to the tiki bar I had to wait online with patrons who were not resort guest. I thought that's what we pay a resort fee for. Same with the Wave nightclub, which did not open until 11:30PM because of a wedding. The front desk staff could have been more customer friendly. I saw one resort worker walk away from a guest who was not being obnoxious or talking loudly. She just rudely walked away as he was still talking. Double check your card charges. I was charged twice for my stay and had to wait over an hour for it to be corrected. The bands were great and the outdoor music is a nice mix. The food was good, especially the classic breakfast and the quesadillas. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and did a good job of getting our food and drinks in a timely manner. One other detail is that even though there are signs posted everywhere to wear a mask, not everyone at the resort was wearing one and I did not notice anyone on staff enforcing the policy. The staff all did have on mask.

Definitely the place to be in Clearwater Beach. Nice rooms, good food, and a wide variety of activities and nightclub options.

Very popular spot with good music. It can get crowded and rowdy at times, the drinks are good, the food is okay but overly priced in my opinion.

Resturant was very clean and food was great. Always come here when I'm in Clearwater.

I totally love this place for me and the husband to have a night out. We start with the buffet and then head over to the tiki bar for great music and good drinks. It is most DEF a great place for locals. Never used the rooms before so not sure about that. It is the perfect florida place!

A group of 10 of us were there this past weekend and we absolutely loved it! For being such a large party we were all able to be served very quickly and with very friendly service! Everything was so clean and well put together. Our favorite part was the fact that everything was right at the resort, you literally don t have to leave the hotel grounds for anything! Every night we were there we ended up at the tequilla bar, salt. That was our favorite bar down there! Joey is amazing!! He s very personable, fun, and an excellent bartender! We all had drinks within minutes of arriving and felt very comfortable and as if we ve been regulars at the bar for years! By far salt was the best bar there with the best service! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is THE place to be when on Clearwater beach and want to party!!!

Always love shepherds. The music is usually pretty good service is excellent. And a great place for sunset.

The Ocean Flame buffet restaurant at Shephard's is top notch. Had brunch there with family Christmas Eve day.

All you can eat prime rib, brisket, chicken, sausage, oysters on the half shell, snow crab clusters, jumbo peel 'n eat shrimp, sushi, breakfast items, soups, salads, desserts, and I know I haven't mentioned dozens of other items. You can cut the prime rib with a fork. It melts in your mouth. Everything is top quality.

When you consider that you could pay $25 or more in a steakhouse or seafood restaurant for just one of these items, it's quite reasonably priced.

In case you wanted to know, there is inside and beachside (outside) dining, and a full bar.

We were treated so good by everyone at the resort. Took advantage of the transport service and the guys taking us places were so friendly. The food at their restaurant was great as well as the food at the tiki bar. Music was very good, pool was great and scenery was out of this world. We were there celebrating our 50 wedding anniversary and we plan to go back again. Oh yes, our room was spacious and clean

I Went here on my birthday. I had the time of my life. The buffet is delicious. The service is 5 star! Thank guys

Absolutely gorgeous resort!! There's a pool, hot tub, beach area, night club, live band, and a few bars to name a few things to do. Everything was clean, the employees were courteous, and the environment was ideal for relaxing and/or having fun. Highly recommend staying at Shephard's!

Great hotel,I didn't stay here,but I did watch the super bowl at the oceanfront tiki bar in the back of the hotel,also we went to their breakfast Buffett each morning. Next time I'm in Clearwater I'll book this hotel. Service was great as well as the food and drinks. The property is well kept nice

It was a great experience. The nightclub is a neu young crowd, however the tiki bar and band each night was phenomenal. There were extra charges for breach chairs & umbrellas that I feel should've been included since you are on their private beach. The restaurant was excellent, I did not try one thing from the buffet that disappointed!!! Loved the endless crab legs!

The hotel is nice. However, if you want or ever like sleep, DO NOT stay in the Gulf Tower. We were put in a room directly over the 2 story night club that blasts music units 3AM!! So loud it was vibrating our floor and tables in our room. Horrible vacation due to no sleep. When asked to move they claimed to be book but had rooms open thro the website.(WTH?!) They gave us free breakfast for our lack of sleep. Well thanks but too little too late. We basically had to sleep our vacation away during the day. Thanks again. NOT RETURNING.
