Great atmosphere, great bands. The crowd is a bit older but if you come before 9 you get a free wristband (Saves $15)

Nice place friendly staff, lovely view of ocean. Would of been better stay if music volume was turned down by half. Bass up way too much, repeating same beat. Couldn't talk with others in party without shouting. Room nice, clean, beds comfortable.

Definitely one of the best spots in Clearwater to grab a drink by the beach! The venue is always popping and this spring break didn't disappoint. My wait staff was on point, consistently serving up the Mojitos just the way I like em Music was on chill w the reggae and classic rock tunes. To top is off, someone got married at the club next door. Awesome occasion!

I left out of my last review to many kids running around and in the one Jacuzzi not enjoyable. Bring back the Seafood Buffet and DJ's. Not allowing people to dance outside in front of the stage anymore only at your table. This should be an adults only resort.

We had a blast at The Wave nightclub! I would stay away from the restaurant there though.

Very Rude door guy!!!! Over expensive, they have nothing to offer you. We will never ever spend our money at a place with rude employees. The bar is always a mess , drinks spilled on the floors, smelly . As a business owner that would never treat customers the way they do I was very disappointed. We went to another place where we were appreciated , and treated great, not over crowded. At the end their rudeness had us go somewhere else way more enjoyable. ;) I will definitely never ever recommend this place to any of my customers or friends. Way too many other places in town that are more fun & not over crowded. And the food isn't that great either.

Great place to stay, it's right on the beach with a stage for DJs or bands, a couple of bars around the pool and patio area. Rooms are large and pretty nice for the rates.

Loaded with Old people & tourists by day or millennial kids at night.

Nice atmosphere but staff seemed less attention than other places locally. Didn't end up staying for dinner.

Loved it. Didn't like that there was a $10 admission charge. Never had to wait to use the restroom (super). Also, the employees seemed to watch those as they left to make sure they were safe.

Cant wait to go back ....WOW is only word to descibe the fun you can have there.

Hands down one of the best beach experiences in the world.. Phenomenal food, entertainment and amenities. A compact but powerful punch in the hotel world. FANTASTIC!

Amazing vacation the staff was friendly the food was great The hot tub was hot and clean the pool was refreshing. The music was great. If you dont like loud music this is not the place for you. The private beach area was wonderful and a short walk to the public beach and shopping at pier 60. Housekeeping was a hit and miss sometimes our beds were made and other times not I had to ask for toilet paper. The store on site was perfect for a quick snack or anything we forgot like sunscreen.

If anyone out there is trying to find good deals for hotels visit . made a reservation for a hotel on there and these guys had the lowest rates worldwide!

So completely unimpressive. The wave inside Club was completely dead like I felt like I had Ultimate VIP since we were the only ones in there. Yet they had everything roped off for bottle service so and empty bar with nowhere to sit that was fun. The outside music was horrible drinks were super expensive and from all the other reviews I read you can't leave your drink unattended for a split-second anyway. Definitely not the Shepherds that used to be back in the day won't be returning

Buffet in a whole was great! We had to pay extra for the crab legs and they were not worth the time nor the money!

Absolutely love coming here! We stayed for wedding night and returned for our 1 year anniversary. They upgraded us to an amazing sunset suite as a surprise. My wife was in love with the views! The pool is amazing and so is the live music. You won't regret your stay

Always convenient to use valet parking, shows are always inexpensive, room to sit, great food... Sometimes service is slow and tables are messy, but overall venue is great and so much fun to attend.

Very comfortable setting, great atmosphere, live entertainment was superb.

Very disappointed with our visit, we did not understand why when we entered the room we began to sneeze, until we looked at the ceiling fan, just judge for yourself if it is worth paying $ 520 for two nights in a room with so much dust like this.

I was very impressed with Shephard's and have no real complaints aside from the third party company that makes you pay for beach chairs right in front of the hotel.

Made a reservation at Ocean Flame Grille for a half hour from call. Showed up early and got sat early. Excellent service, amazing food! Bottomless wine Monday is amazing!

Love this beach, so much to do and see, great for families and younger generation, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Came to brunch for a bday! The food far exceeded my expectations and mimosas came free with brunch! Desserts bar was a little underwhelming but nevertheless good value for the $$$! Will be coming back and the view is beautiful too!

Not safe at all!!! Fights breaking out with no security in the bar area to help. Innocent bystanders being trampled over by the security when they did show up WAY TOO LATE. The management doesn't even care about the guests. They do not listen at all !!! They only care about the money. I truly hope someone with hospitality experience purchases this development, because the property is pretty nice. Over charged in the restaurant and when we refused to sign for the bill they charged our card without permission. The Hotel staff says to talk to the restaurant manager who treated us like we were being unreasonable and he was making sure that everyone around us heard what he had to say but not listening to us at all to help him understand HE WAS WRONG!!!!!! So embarrassing and such a terrible experience we left a day early and only were scheduled to be there for 2 days. It was unbearable to say the least.

Wonderful bar where to dance and have a drink. I loved the relaxing terrace with coaches by the beach.

Didn't attend the resort itself. Just brunch at the restaurant.

Everything was great except front desk. Did not fix our issue with TV and was disappointed in the promises made to resolve. Telling us maintenance would be right up and never showed to being told to just wait till tomorrow. Thanks for the great experience -- just dont get sick like us and be stuck in your room without a fully functional Tv.

We went here tonight and had a pretty terrible interaction with the bouncer. He was rude and condescending.

This is a review for an older stay so can't really speak to the current status (might be better or worse?) but we enjoyed our time here. Very nice rooms and generally a nice hotel. Pool was cold and drinks/food was pricey. But all in all it was good.

We have been coming here since my kids were young now they are grown and we still come with them and now our granddaughter. Always great service and clean. Much has changed over the years but for the good! Always love the live music and entertainment. Centrally located. Beach area is small but still right on water! Yes it is loud at night so if you want peace and relaxation probably not your spot!

The staff here were very friendly and welcoming and the rooms here are comfortable and clean. The valet guys are exceptionally polite and quick so valeting your vehicle is pretty convenient. There is a nice sized TV that allows casting capability if you want to watch any content on your phone on a larger screen.

The very small kitchenette/bar area needs to be furnished with more with the bare bones. There were no basics such as paper towels, a can opener, dish soap, knives sharper than a butter knife, teaspoons or a decent coffeemaker. There was a small coffeemaker that uses a mesh bag similar to a tea bag to deliver one cup at a time, not compatible with any commonly available coffee pods (i.e Keurig) or standard filters and ground coffee. Of course, the coffee supplied to our double occupancy room was enough for one person to have a cup per day.

I highly recommend that you pay for an upgraded room that is nowhere near the nightclub or you won't get any sleep until after it closes at 2 AM and the drunk patrons quit slamming doors and hollering in the halls.

The beach area was small but serviceable and we saw a small pod of dolphins swimming past.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again but not in the Gulf Tower or any room near the nightclub.

DO NOT STAY ON BEACH SIDE OF HOTEL. I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL NOT SLEEP UNTIL 2 AM. WE WERE ON 5th FLOOR, AND COULD HEAR THE BAND AS THOUGH THEY WERE ON OUR BALCONY. EVERYTHING ELSE PERFECT. WE WERE THERE FOR A WEDDING. SO WE WERE THERE TO PARTY. BUT, THE HOTEL SHOULD FOR WARN THE GUESTS, THAT IF NOT UP UNTIL 2 OR 3 AM, YOU SHOULD HAVE A STREET VIEW, NOT BEACH VIEW.

Amazing place for rentals!..Jozz was so helpful and great to us...highly recommend checking them out...we rent just about every summer here and could not be any happier...

People are expelled from the bar at night simply because they cannot dance or even stand in the same place where they are sitting.
The security are is completely stupid.
