Terrible experience here!!! They tried to rip us off and when we decided not to go through with the deal, they put us through hell getting our $500 deposit back. First we were told it would be put back on our card within 3 days. When it wasn't, they said 7 days... when that didn't happen we were told we would have to drive down to Johnston for a check. We are on our way down there now to get it so hopefully it will be there, but who knows?!?
I am thankful for being able to work with Eddie F. this morning in the Johnston location. He is a wonderful salesman and with his skill I was able to drive away today. He was very professional and he walked me through the process Thank you Eddie.

They suck. Do not use your money with them, they are going to try to hoodwink you. I put 1,500 dollars down on the car, realized that I was going to pay double the kelley blue book price of the car down the road, and wanted my refund or at least a percentage. They said I am getting nothing back. I only had the car for two weeks, when I brought the car back, I still had the dealer plates on the vehicle. They suck. Do not purchase a vehicle with this company.

I had purchased my first vehicle ever, an 08 Chrysler Sebring. Loved it. I understood that my credit was poor, so I'd have a high interest rate. The guy told me after a year of solid payments, my credit would be looking better. Okay. Not a problem.
My issues began with a warranty that didnt cover anything. Whatever, a couple hundred dollars into my car. That was fine. 8 months of solid payments, and everything was seemingly alright. My car was then totaled by a tree during a storm, the company agreed to wipe away my balance from my first car if I got into another car (because go figure I was upside down, my car was valued at HALF of what Shannon sold it to me for).
Great! However, this company did NOT tell me that 1) not all of my payments were reported to Transunion, and that 2) They had put my first vehicle under "repossession/foreclosure". So after hurting my credit even worse, I get into a new car again, no warranty to cover anything I've had to fix (alternator, water pump, etc). Now almost two years later, two different cars, my credit is EVEN WORSE then before because if their wrong information. What do they tell me? "Its happening to 200 other people, not just you. Theres a problem with the way the information is entered into the system". Thats the answer I get? Okay, now lets talk about fixing it...
Gina has been trying to help, but every time they say "oh its fixed", the incorrect information on my CREDIT report is still there. No manager to answer the phones, as they are "always in meetings". Now I keep getting emails from them that say, "lets refinance, you've been paying over a year". My interest rate is at 17.89%, thats CRAZY. I call them to talk about refinancing, and what do they say? My credit is still too low...MY CREDIT WOULD BE GREAT IF SHANNON MOTORS REPORTED ALL MY PAYMENTS AND THE CORRECT INFORMATION ON MY FIRST CAR. This is RIDICULOUS.
This company wouldn't understand good customer service if it hit them right in their face. No manager to call me back, my credit now getting worse and worse with every update they do to try and help me...and I'm stuck paying $6k in interest on a car not even worth the interest rate, let alone the additional $14k it actually costed me without the interest.
Normally I'd never put such a bad review, but I'm getting nothing in return from this company for being a loyal, on-time paying customer. My next step, once they tell me my credit report issues are fixed and they arent, is submitting this to the BBB. Maybe then, a manager will FINALLY be meeting-free and can give me a call. But I wont hold my breath.

This place is awesome! I was referred here by two friends that had two different amazing experiences! They both refered me to Ed the tall Guatemalan that judges pageant shows. He's amazing! He helped us so much, if your someone looking for a car low credit/no credit, and have a really low amount of money to put down, Ed is your guy! He helps with the car, insurance, and registration, he makes it all fit in your budget. I have no complaints about this place. Best of all, it all was done so quick and easy within just a couple hours we were in and out.

I was told by Eddie to right this review for him. I thought they were great at the time. After having a car for a year with them this is the worst place to buy a car from. Their service department sucks and treat you like you are not a customer. When you have an issue every person pushes you to another department saying they don't deal with those issues. The general manager never called me back. They get over on people with bad credit and don't know anything about cars. They rush the process making it seem like the sale is a finance but really it is a used car lease and the engine blew after a year!!! They tried to blame it on the car not being maintenced but then told me I have to pay $100 for them to even look at the car. So how do you know my engine is blown because of maintenance if you didn't look at the car? I had to tow the car to another mechanic so he can look at it and tell what was wrong for FREE!!! This is the truth don't let them tell you different. They will do whatever to protect their business but nothing to help a customer.

My visit at Shannon motors was great in the beginning I got Paul as our sales guy he was extrenaly good with us he ran around like crazy trying to get us what we needed! Then some where along the line someone messed up our social security # and that made the process of us getting a car very difficult we had to wait for someone from the IT dept to take a look and then not only did I spend 7 1/2 hours in that office they still didn't have a answer so paul sent us home and said we would have an answer by 9a.m the next day and that he would call me. So Paul never called me back in fact I had to call him not once not twice but three times. So I finally had enough and drove there and when I got there paul said that he still didn't have a answer now Im upset and I just told him I was allset and I had put a $100.00 down payment mind you in cash and Paul said I had to wait two day for a check! Needless to say Shannon motors sucks I would never go to them again in my life nor do I recommend anyone to ever shop there!

I had some issues with my car when I first got it and then after weeks of going back and fourth to the mechanic my car was good. I recently got a flat and when i went to go change to the spare it had NO RIM just the freaking tire i relocated to SC and I cant bring it to there location so now I have to pay out of pocket for a dam rim

This is actually my second review. The first one that I posted was not the greatest. When I bought my first car from Shannon I was new at the whole car buying thing and wanted what I wanted when I wanted it, but I had ruined my credit years earlier when fresh out of school. So I had no choice but to buy a car at Shannon. I had no money down and no other options the car was older and had high mileage but it did have a 1 yr service contract that covered all the important things. But I was determined to upgrade as soon as possible and get out of that car. So I did what the sales person Paul Reis told me to do with my credit and made all my payments on time. Now fast forward 1 yr and I am writing my second review and I am so happy that I listened to him and bought that first car that year flew bye. I have just taken delivery of my upgraded car a 2012 Altima traded back in my first car and my credit is back on track. Thank you Paul.

He patiently worked with me, going through all options in great detail, until we found something that was best fit for my life & more importantly, my budget. The biggest rip off dealer in the state I have not seen one car from them that hasn't been Mickey Moused do yourself a favor download uber or lift until you can go to a respectable dealership you'll save yourself the stress of fixing what they claim is "out of warranty" that whole "24,000 mile" warranty is bs and I plan on going to the dealer association and the attorney general and filing numerous complaints

Dealing with Shannon motors is a nightmare, first car had problems for 2 years till lease was up, was put into a 2011 that a month later rolled down the driveway in park totaled the car my house,and another car, they get paid 11,700. When i go to get a new car now i can only get a sedan not a suv until i flipped out. So now two cars down into a third suv two weeks in and knocking from engine, problems with brakes, stereo wiring is all shot, exhaust leak, sways back and forth on highway, service says they hear nothing. Now half of awork day wasted and not a thing accomplished or fixed on my truck. Appreciate LEMON MOTORS i would recommend to NOONE! better off walking or a bus its more reliable.0 STARS!
Very bad experience with them today, brought the car in for installing a radio because the one the car came with was broken. The guy there fixing my radio confiscates the car saying he couldn't release the car because its not registered when I already paid my registration two weeks prior. He tells me "TO PAY MY BILLS" not knowing they were already paid I owe nothing but my husband has to clear his name at the traffic b that's why the car had a block for the registration. I was taking my stuff out of the car he threatens to call the cops on me if I don't get out screaming and yelling being a real jerk no courtesy that now I'm stuck in Johnston with no way home no money on me because they took the car with no warning only coming in to fix a radio. I left their in tears with all my laundry from the trunk so embarrassing. I would never recommend anyone to go their to purchase a car those people at the Johnston branch from the secretary on are rude nasty people they will throw you out and disrespect you AND TOTALLY GET AWAY WITH IT. I've never been more humiliated in my life. Benjamin saw me going through it and helped me with a ride home such a sweet stand up guy he saw how I was being treated he was THE ONLY ONE who tried to help. I felt as big as a peanut leaving there today. Never Again. They need new management.
Please do go to these people, you will be paying twice if not three times more than what the car is worth. They are only in the business of stealing your money. Don't lease. Don't finance! Save a little longer and buy a car in full at a better dealer!
I recently purchased a 2008 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer) from Ray Deluca, at their Woonsocket location. Everyone at that location was wonderful, and helped me get financed for the vehicle I needed. The vehicles at this location are beautiful, and very well maintained. I highly recommend any of my friends, or family looking for a vehicle to purchase one here, as I had such an excellent experience with their very kind, and caring staff.
This is our 4th purchase from Shannon Motors. Always a great experience. Paul Reis is by far the best person to buy a car from. He isn't all about the sale. He takes his time and goes above and beyond to make sure the buyer is satisfied. The finance department does an amazing job getting the best rates possible. When the time comes for another car we will be coming right back here!
I wouldn't even give them a one star reading if I could because every time and the 6 months that I brought my car up there from Massachusetts I wait more than 3 hours for my Car even get pulled then with an appointment they tried to tell me there's nothing wrong with my car the manager has no clue what hes Doingit's been a horrible experience and now they're telling me today that I have to pay a deductible for a part that's under warranty because they want me to pay for their labor services because my tire isn't the same tire that originally came with the car because people's tires don't get replace they don't ever get a nail and them or anything like that this is the worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership
Terrible customer service. Never purchasing another vehicle from shannon motors. Got the run around and was lied to by multiple staff members. Brought the car back to get a spare key made that was agreed on got the run around for 2 months. Bobby the service manager is racist and rude towards females. They take advantage of female's. Mark the other service manager is a liar. The vehicle went to tasca to get work done shannon motors delivered the vehicle to them. Shannon motors got caught in a line I personally went to tasca and got the right story. After getting caught in a lie they finally gave us what they agreed on. If I could give them a negative 5 rating I would. Never purchasing a car from these lieing crooks again. Go else where if you don't want to loose your mind

After a terrible day of finding out I needed my 04 Chevy Classic fixed, and realizing the money it would take to do so was simply not worth it, I made a trip to Shannon Motors. I was greeted on the lot by Shawn with a smile and a handshake. After talking for a few minutes and explaining my predicament he helped me come up with a solution, I left shortly after with a new to me 2007 Hyundai SUV that is both comfortable to drive in and suits my needs perfectly. We spent time budgeting and finding out the best options for me and I even received unexpected (but greatly appreciated) financial advice on how to raise my credit and cut down on my monthly bills. Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, understanding and 100% helpful. The entire experience was great, it felt like I was talking to someone I've known for years and not once did I feel like he was trying to push a sale, only that he legitimately wanted to help me solve my problem. I'd recommend him one hundred times over, if you're looking for an honest and helpful representative I highly suggest you go see him!

Needed a car like yesterday and went in to Shannon Motors for help and that is just what I got. I worked with Jarrod T and he was so great and a doll to work with. The whole process was fast and easy and within two hours I was on my way out the door with my new car. I had a quick visit with the people in the office to fill out my paperwork and they were very nice and that process was also quick, and friendly. I will be dealing with service soon because they had to order something for the car so ... here I come service you have to keep the ball running. All and all great service, friendly people and would recommend anyone to stop in and get a car.
Seems to be some split opinions here, so I'll voice my own experience.
After being in an accident that was not in any way my fault (two other cars collided, and one pushed the other into mine from another lane), I had to replace my wonderful Honda Accord. We went to Shannon Motors after hearing they can work with less than stellar credit (ours was around 620 after some history with student loans, buying a new home and other incidentals).
We went to the Providence location and was treated well by Daquiri, a sales rep normally stationed in Johnston. They were able to secure a loan for us but wanted to offer us a 2012 Ford Fusion (in my opinion, the worst car on their lot - by their own website, it was the oldest model available). I noticed a 2013 Toyota Prius for the same price, and received no hassle about changing to that car. Great sales experience, the price is right about where KBB shows this model, and the financing terms were acceptable.
Our only less desirable experience so far was we have had the car for over 2 weeks and have not yet heard back regarding the new license plates or registration. I literally just today called Daquiri to find out what was going on with this, and was referred to another person who was handling that (this is standard in the auto industry... sales sell the cars, and the back office deals with the minutia).
The car is great, the terms were reasonable, and the only negative I can cite is that they didn't call us to let us know about any hold-ups with the registration, or to pick up the plates. I am following up with them this week but I do feel they should be more proactive about this sort of thing. It's just sensible "360-degrees" customer service.
Overall, we are pleased with them but they didn't quite earn a 4 or 5 star review from me.
