I have been with Shannon motors for about a year now. My first experience with them and the car I had was a 2003 dodge stratus it was a great experience every one helped me get into my first car which was amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I recently got into an accident and I needed a new car they helped me get into a 2013 Nissan Altima which is beautiful but already i had to repair a couple things on the car. To my main focus of this review is the receptionist I used to go every other week to pay my payments never really had a problem until today 12-18-15 I paid my registration on the car and they gave me a check of the remaining amount but for two days I have been trying to cash it but seems to be a spelling issue which I do not understand. I am a receptionist the main focus of the customer is their NAME! Getting it wrong once is a mistake but getting it wrong twice is not except-able and having to be late for work because you try and talk with a boss or someone about the problem you are having and no one seems to care at all. All I wanted was to tell the boss the problem in private not the whole staff or other customers in the building because I respect the business. It is also not okay knowing when you call the receptionist department they are rolling their eyes and making hand suggester trying to get off the phone with you but you wouldn't know that. Thank you for reading this and I did not want to bring it to a review but I feel as this is the only way I was able to tell my problem. I hope this helps anyone buying a car from here and I hope you realize someone else can take better care of you at a better dealership.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I over payed for my car, that was initially in bad condition, by about 300%. When I was ready to payoff the car my account manager lied to me about the process and did everything she could to make it as much of a hassle as possible. The mechanics and a few of the accountants were cooperative and it is sad that they are part of such a corrupt and disgusting establishment.

I went into Shannon Motors in Woonsocket with friend, not thinking I would physically leave that day with a decent vehicle, yet I did. The customer service was great. Jarrod and Ray were very easy to work with, and made the process less stressful. I recommend anyone who is looking for a decent car with affordable payments to go there!

My experience with shannon motors was AMAZING. They gave me (not the exact Jeep I wanted) but none the less one I love. They had it ready for me the same day I applied, and when there was an issue with it a few days later they got me RIGHT in the shop to have it fixed. They fixed everything that was wrong and because I had to wait a while for it to be done the head mechanic that was at the front desk (I think kevin?) had extra of his lunch and shared it with me cause I had to sit there all day and gave me water as well. Had my repairs rushed cause I had no ride home (even though it was supposed to stay more then a day for repairs) and had it done by 2pm cause of my no way home issue. By far the best experience ive ever had with a car dealership and service for a vehicle.

Update!: After a couple years of hard work, I decided to upgrade my 08 mustang to a 2016 audi a4. Process was just as painless as last time and Eddie was eager to make the deal day of. No run around, the guy gives it to you straight and I definitely appreciate that in a company. Thanks Eddie and Shannon Motors!

Walked in and was immediately greeted by Eddie he got me in a car in an hour. Painless upfront process, couldnt recommend them more.

"there the best" my wife and I bought a car from them. the car is beautiful! the staff are great people! our salesman is something else. JIM MELLO, he worked so hard to get the car we wanted. HE ROCKS! also BILL HICKLEY helped us so much! there great guys! need a car? that's the place to go.

The customer service is friendly, personable and helpful which made my experience feel good, I got a nicer car than I expected to leave with! Although, a few lights came on on the dashboard and my AC doesn't working anymore..also I've been waiting about 2 weeks for my plates to come in, registration is paid for but everhtime I ask they say the DMV hasn't dropped them off yet. But there was a delay on my boyfriends plates when they had them the whole time...just slightly frustrated but I love the car.

Do not buy any vehicles from this dealership!!! They have no clue what they re doing down there. They sold me a vehicle that leaks water when it rains out. They refused to fix the seals and the drainage system in the vehicle. I had to take a loan out to buy myself out of this vehicle. I paid $4000 interest on a $6000 car so I paid $11,000 for a car that was worth Realistically worth about $5000. Towards the end of the Signing I had to wait another month and a half because they mailed the title to the bank. This was a personal loan not an auto loan. And yet they still mailed my title out to Arlington mass. After all said and done I went to go get the original key to this car and they conveniently lost it. Do not waste your time or money at this place these people are legal loansharks and will keep you in debt for the rest of your life if you cannot find a bank to bail you out of the situation I was fortunate enough to of had that because of who I work for. If you have bad credit do yourself a favor and fix it another way. There s a reason why they approve everybody!! By the way therefore star rating is only because people that get approved they asked them to go on Google and give them a good rating because they re approved. Do not do that do not lie to future customers like I did. Had I known how things were going to pan out I would ve never step foot in that office. Shannon motors is a joke. A lying deceitful thieving joke!!

I went to Shannon motors because my husband saw a vehicle he really wanted, and though the reviews were not great, we did notice most of the reviews were older and quite frankly he was tired of searching for a car, so we gave them a shot.. When we first arrived we were greeted by Paul. Before we got to try out the vehicle we filled out an application to see if we could afford it and unfortunately it was out of our pricerange, (not proud to say my credit history isn't the greatest) so he then showed some other options that were more affordable, and a bit older :( , He spent lots of time with us and showed us several options, till we finally found one we sorta liked. Not quite as glamerous as the first one we liked.. We were a bit dissapointed, so we went to a few other dealers in the area then went home and looked around online, once again. We also visited JD Byrider in Cranston and the vehicles they showed us just seemed quite banged up and one of them smelled really bad, like wet dog and cigarettes, ugh.... we got pretty turned off and went back to Shannon Motors, we met with Paul again and made our final selection. As of now my only complaint is that it took a reaaaallllyyyy loooonnnnggg time to get the paperwork done and, it had to be redone because of an error they made. ugh, that was irritating. Its been about a month since we purchased and we really have not had any significant problems, a headlight went out and the wipers needed to be changed, both minor but they got taken care of rather quickly. other than that So far so good, but I WILL BE SURE to keep you guys posted if things change!! ;)

Me and my girlfriend got a car off them dont get your self played like we did they act like they care till you sign that pape they herass if you forget or miss one week payment they lie to you about everything make sure you get a car fax. If you dont seem to care after reading this good luck they just want your money.

I have an issue with my account where they keep charging me insurance through them for a month now when I have provided my insurance information not once but twice now . I have to pay 98$ a week because of phone fee because I cannot trust the correct amount to be taken. Every week I call to get the issue fixed and I'm told it's all set and sure enough same thing the next week . I work in customer service so I am not one to complain but this is rediculous. I shouldn't be getting attitudes or "I don't knows " from a dealer that I pay basically 400$ a month for an 8 year old car . It is completely unprofessional and a very unwelcoming experience when I try to be nice about it. It shouldn't be a nightmare to pay my bill!

I've gotten two cars from them. The first one was a bait and switch. First of all i had next to no credit, which makes most people feel powerless. You pray to get approved and when you do, you will take just about anything. I test drove a loaded 1 year old Chrysler 200. When i said I'd take it he casually said the one your getting is at the other lot. When the handed me the keys to a optionless Chrysler 200 I put up little resistance. The second time was a different story. My wife and i needed a minivan that was a few yeats old, fully loaded, with low miles, she got her heart set on a loaded 2012 less common model. Come to find out the only one in our price range was being sold by.....who else? Shannon motors. This time i was much more savy, confident and sporting a 790 credit score. I got made an offer $1000 below asking, they took it. We did a walk through and found several needed repairs. The truck was missing mats. Driver window issues etc. They half a$$ fixed most of it to keep it running past the 30 days. After a couple months the AC compressor went, the driver window stopped working again and i shook my head. Not where I'd buy a car in the future!

Edit: Their credit reporting sucks. They hardly ever report perfect payments and when they do they only report a fourth of what you actually paid.

Lol got a few more suckers! Hope they don't think they got their car for a 2 year contract it really 3 years. Make sure they only take one payment when scheduled because they will take out two! So keep a close eye on your bank account might not happen the first year but year two that's when they start messing around with your account. Oh and make sure you sign up for a secured credit card and another down payment of over a $1000! Place is a joke! I will never go though them again! When I get my taxes I am going somewhere else. I'm not the only person they did this too!! I am sure they will delete this post because they don't want people knowing the truth!! But dont worry I copied and put it on Google and yelp!!

I am writing this review because i have recently purchased a car from Shannon Motors of Johnston.Such an easy,drama free experience it was.My salesman Paul Reis was extra helpful when it came to finding a vehicle that fit right into my price range.He worked with me and answered ALL of my endless questions in nothing less then a professional manner.I would recommend anyone buying a vehicle in Rhode Island to stop in and ask for Paul..GREAT CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE!!!

I'm very difficult to deal with when picking out a vehicle and Paul was very patient and took his time helping me get into a vehical of my liking. I would always use him to purchase a vehicle when the time comes again.

Customer services is poor. They don't know how to speak to there customers. They sell cars that need service and have many issues. Then u have the general manger never answer his phone or even return a phone call. I can't wait to pay of this car and never shop with them again. While I was waiting to services my car 4 people came in to get there vechiels serviced talking about they was sold a car with many issues. My first time with them and my last.
