I grew up nearby but never tried Naragansett beer. Now I live in Virginia and found it at a Safeway grocery store. I find it to be a very good tasting beer. Great price as well. I'm sorry I wasn't a regular customer back in the day. I missed out!
So I bought the watermelon shandy. Ive given a 1 star rating as that's the lowest possible score. I am extremely disappointed. As far as beer goes its a subpar beer, I'll compare it to bud light. There was no, and I mean no watermelon taste to this beer whatsoever. I doubt in a blind taste test that I would be able to tell this apart from a bud or Miller light. If you want something that actually has the fruity flavor it claims to have then dont but this beer.

A very good Lager. I'm having my first one ever right now which I bought on impulse at my local Kroger store in Tennessee this afternoon. Lots of times I feel beer is just getting too complicated, and often I crave a good basic beer. Narragansett Lager is a really tasty, no frills, no shenanigans beer. Thankful it is available around here and I'm sure I'll buy it again, probably next time I'm at Kroger! Great price too.
