The stay was excellent and the service was great. The only thing that I wanted to comment on was the coordination between the reception and the line. We has complimentary buffet dinner on our first night and the restaurant actually mistook it as a paid dinner. Because of this misunderstanding, my husband has to leave me with 2 kids in the room and head to the reception after dinner to settle the misunderstanding. This caused some inconvenience for us. I will appreciate better communication from the restaurant staff.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I actually chose the hotel for their facilities for kids and I was very happy to see how attentive they were to my daughter and how they helped her along in Buds Kids Club. I also love the eating area for families where they had small tables and chairs for children and abundant toys to hold their attention and keep them seated until they finish their meal. For the adults, we enjoyed the food at the various restaurants and had fun by the pool. An overall enjoyable experience.

Went to a Chinese wedding at the ballroom. Worst wedding food I've ever tasted. With the exception of the opening dish, the rest are simply tasteless.

The carpark is also a pain. It was raining and I discovered there are two basement car parks. In order to get to my car I had to get myself wet even though my car is parked at one of the hotel's indoor car parks.

I had a problem with Expedia and Shangri La. I first requested a room including breakfast. I changed my arrival date ONLY and when I arrived, your staff said that Breakfast was not included. They looked into it and said that it was removed when the change of date happened. I said that the price was the same (pre night), so I should still get breakfast. They said no.... From my point of view to give me the breakfast THAT I PAID FOR would of been the reasonable approach. For the $35 they charged me it does not make since, as it just gave me a bad taste about your customer service.

Went here with wifey for lunch buffet and the food is top notch. Slightly expensive, but totally worth it. So many different dishes to choose from. There's something for everyone. I can't wait to visit again.

Check-in and out process was smooth and easy.

Check-in and out process was smooth and easy.

Event i was attending was not well handled between the internal Hotel teams and staff. Clear miscommunications and lack of real joined-up organisation.

Room in the Valley Wing was large, spacious and clean with nice facilities and a large bath which was a plus. In-room hot drink selection not large, with limited options but the Lounge & Summit area does offer some alternatives.

Bed comfortable but pillows were terrible and overly soft with no structure or support. Shower also did not work properly - Rain shower was small and had no pressure. Using the normal shower the rain shower would leak and drip cold water on you which was very frustrating and not nice.

Waterfront Italian restaurant food was below par and the quality of the dishes did not impress apart from the soup and one dessert. Their wine selection was actually not bad though.

Afternoon Tea & Business Centre were both good. Having use of the Business Centre was very useful and much appreciated.

No fresh juices available at any location around the Hotel. Even when specifically asking the staff at Breakfast and they assured us that juices were both fresh & freshly squeezed (they definitely were not) - Very disappointing and not expected from a '5*' Hotel.

Breakfast at The Summit was very good. Service was great. Attentive, prompt and efficient - Especially Carlito. A special thank you to him for making our stay warmer and more enjoyable!

Housekeeping not great - often not enough towels, and the sofa bed gave me a bad back. Eggs on the breakfast buffet were cold.
In-room dining was excellent, and staff very friendly. Great location.

The stay was excellent. Upgraded from garden wing to valley wing and had no regrets. From check in, to the service staff, they were all top notch.

It was great not having to book for gym and swimming pool. Lots of space. Food at the pool area was worth it and not too expensive, and my kid love the Budz.

Gorgeous hotel with luxurious interior and stairways. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Singapore to be found in this hotel. Very kind concierge and staff all around. Also great location, although the driveway is a bit small. 10/10 will be back!

Check in and check out very well. Room despite the recent renovation already seems a little tired (marking floor, wall, torn bathrobe), not very luxury. By cons, very comfortable bed. Fitness great but a little veillote and jacuzzi sauna very tired and not the standard level of the hotel. Hotel environment great and pleasantly airer. Pool quite big and clean. Young pool attendants not very welcoming compare to older staffs. Chinese restaurant very good but service just ok.

Ambient and location is good. Service n staffs are friendly. Spread of food are reasonable. The main course however are not all palatable to some, e.g. beef randan. Prawn noodles are nice. Some fresh fruits would be added credits

Manage to check in early which was great - but no kids amenities prepared in the bedroom - no bedroom slippers or towels or bath robe for kids - only 2 piece for adults, and nothing for the kids. Had to request house keeping. Else, all in all booking was good.

Quite close to orchard road, the hotel is quite big and the ambience is great. There are good restaurants inside the hotel. The room comes with complimentary tooth brush, tooth paste, comb and hair band surprisingly! It is not convenient to take public transport from the hotel. The nearest bus station is at least a 13-14 minute walk. During the peak hours, rideshare gets quite expensive and it is advisable to take the regular cab, which is easily available from the hotel. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool. Most rooms don't come with complimentary breakfast. The wifi is average, it is not encrypted. The room comes with a flat screen tv, a small refrigerator and complimentary oxygenated water. The bathrooms have a separate shower and bath tub. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of natural light. The Christmas lights are fantastic. The hotel also has a massage center called Chi. Note that they charge a refundable S$200 per night fee. My experience with the staff here has been fantastic. This is one of the better hotels I've stayed in and will recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and quiet stay in singapore.

Room: I'm grateful that the hotel upgraded my original booking to a higher tier given the disruption caused by COVID19. Room was great, spacious for my family of 4, nice pool view (top floor). Room is clean, met my expectation.

Splashzone: I think this part can be improved. We checked in earlier than 3pm (approx 1-ish), and was told to select a times lot for Splashzone. However, the popular times lots are out, even before I managed to get my room. Had to rush for the 2pm slot, bringing along my luggage, find a changing room, and all the whole feeling frustrated and cumbersome. I think as hotel guests, we should be given priority, and perhaps we can be given the option to pre-book days or weeks before put staycation date?

Dinner @ Line: The QR code ordering of food is great! Food was delivered promptly after ordering is made. Kudos! However, this cannot replace the buffet style. Hope to see it come back when the situation allows.

Thank you!

The room was nicely furnished with a roll over bed for my son when we checked in.
We met a female staff by the name of Min Tin at the Splash pool and he still remember my son s name when we meet again the next day at the pool. My nephew was having a melt down at the pool and she was so nice to get all the kids yakult to calm him down. I m very impressed with her extra mile service and we are very blessed to meet her.

We went to have breakfast, and once they found out we were not guests at the hotel, they told us we could not have the main buffet. So we just left. When we travel, we usually stay at the Shang-ri la hotels. Well, not any more!

Our stay was not long enough so we didn't get to enjoy the many facilities at the hotel. Breakfast was huge but at 10.20am they start to close it down since it only goes until 10.30. After a long flight (and sleep in) we did feel a little rushed. The pool was great and we appreciated the free Orchard Road transfer. Sadly out take away breakfast (for an early departure) leaked so everything got soggy.

This year, we have decided to celebrate my wife birthday in our Favourite brand - Shangri-La and Shangri-La Singapore become our first choice during this Pandemic period.

Shangri-La Singapore is a "SG CLEAN" hotel and they do really follow the SG CLEAN Standard and do all the cleaning time to time which I can see Housekeeping department always cleaning around. Social Distancing practice also very strict at here and Hand Sanitiser Machines are all around the hotel too. So no need to be panic or worry that the hotel didn't do the cleaning properly. Well done Shangri-La Singapore!

I have contacted to Shangri-La Singapore earlier to arrange all the surprise arrangement for my wife birthday and all the arrangements went smoothly and perfect! From our arrival until departure, all the dining periods, Chi Spa period and all the rest, we both enjoyed so much and we LOVE it! I personally would like to thank you to Mica Villasenor, without her, I think I will be worry so much on all the surprise arrangement! Thank you Mica Villasenor!

All these Excellent Service not only done by one person but is the WHOLE TEAM effort from Shangri-La Singapore. Bravo to all of them!

Reservation Department - Aida Kamdi, Lee Mei Wen, Tan Shire Ling (Well communication through email conversation without worrying so much! Thank you!)

Front Office Department - Mica Villasenor, Jovin, Grace, Lynn (Thanks for the Room Upgrade, Late Check Out, Birthday decoration and Wine arrangement. Smooth check in & out process! Thank you!)

Housekeeping Department - Lidya, Kitty (The room #688 was well prepared and cleaned properly! Thank you!)

CHI the Spa Department - Stephanie, J (Sorry cannot remember exact name for my therapist), the receptionist at the Spa (Thank you for giving us a good massage and good welcome service during the whole Spa Treatment)

Origin Restaurant - the evening service team! (Thank you for helping me getting the rose bouquet from Front Office for my wife; Thank you for the surprise birthday cake too.) Please do tell the chef - Excellent Food!

The Line Restaurant - Breakfast team! (Thank you for the service! No panic and confusion for new-normal Ala Carte Buffet service! Good Job!)

Lobby Lounge Restaurant - Lunch team! (Smooth payment by using Golden Circle Points and seems the team are well trained on the service! Thank you!)

This is one of the Excellent Guest Service Experience that we received during our staycation in Shangri-La Singapore! Without anyone of you who giving out all your effort, passion and patient, we both can't enjoy that much for this stay! THANK YOU to all of you!!!

We will be back soon! Thank you!

1. Late check-in. Was only able to check in at 4pm plus in the afternoon. It s taking way too Long for the room to be ready.

2. The bathtub stopper was faulty. Had to inform the technician to come by and have a look in the evening.

3. Ordered room service late at night. The keropok From the nasi goreng kampong wasn t great. It was soft, not crispy at all.

Awesome service for our staycay during 27-28 oct 2020.
Staffs are very helpful and tentative. Very good crowd control during this pandemic too. No one place is seen as overly crowded as they insist visitors to register before the use of the facilities and managed it very well.
Overall very pleasant stay with very good service. Will definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a good break or have a chill at their big and grand looking lounge.

Valley Wing Deluxe room.

Valley Wing Deluxe room.
Staff very forthcoming from front desk, waiters, room service, concierge, etc. And they also know when to be discreet.

Top notch hotel and service. Style seems mixed European Art nouveau with Asian elements. Magnificent.

Some room equipment maybe a bit older, but in good shape. Bathroom spacious with separate shower, bath tub and separate toilet. No toilet shower, but a Bidet instead.

Great breakfast, top quality food, a la carte menu for VW guests with option to go to the big buffet area with several cooking stations.

Health Club (spa facilities and fitness area) good maybe not the best I have seen in other hotels. Pool and garden area relaxing. Pool goes as deep as 2.5m. Did not take massage spa service.

Other residing guests (behaviour) during our stay matched the 5star hotel classification/expectation and the mandatory Lounge dress code underscored this attitude goal. Not snobby, but elegant, respectful classy.

Value for money:
A stay certainly comes with a price tag and there might be better value for money options on first/superficial sight.
However, in my humble view: For those, who know valuing high class equipment, customized and discreet service, top notch selected food, stylish high standard interior (no shortcuts, fake elements, compromise) and classy entertainment (harp played in VW lounge, piano and flute in tower wing lobby), then the Shangri-La Singapore might be the right place.

Loved the room. It was spacious and clean. Love that the kid got welcome gifts. Picnic basket had great cakes and sandwiches. Love the complimentary masks and sanitizer. From desk staff and The Line restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great at The Line restaurant. Overall we had a great one night stay. Only negative issue was that our in house dining took more than an hour to be delivered to the room. Operator did inform us it was due to a surge of guests. For the same reason we weren't able to get a booking to the kids splash zone. Anyways my kids had great time at the normal pool. And we really appreciated that there were life vests and that the shallow pools were clearly zoned. Had room service been faster everything would have been excellent. In room dining dishes that we ordered were alright. We ordered mutton biryani. It was loaded with mutton, however taste wise didn't live up to the price tag. The mango chutney was good though. Kids Mac and cheese was alright as well. Great that it had ample amount of vegetables but taste wise it didn't go well with the kids.

I did not stay in the shangri la, but i made an appointment to view the function room for my wedding.

Special mention to events manager Ms Michelle Tan, who confirmed my appointment at 7pm but went missing when we tried to contact her upon our arrival.

After getting any available person to help get hold of her , calling about 7 times and waiting for about 40 mins, a staff at the reception finally got through to her phone. The reason she gave was that she was attending to another guest s viewing.

Firstly, why no one called to let us know that she needed some time while attending to other guest?
Secondly, even if I am booking a function room instead of a ballroom does not mean that my viewing is less important than her other guests.

Terribly unprofessional service, she had the cheek to ask the reception staff to tell me to give her 2 minutes before she attend to us after a 40 mins wait. Was definitely not expecting such service from a Shangri la staff!

We were disappointed on the first day as the pool was closed due to someone dirtying it.

Then all the children had to go to the Buds indoor playground that could not manage the surge in users. I would have suggested some impromptus set up of painting or drawing areas outside by the pool etc to children to continue play out of buds.

The kids were looking forward to spending time there at the pool

We had a small accident on the 2nd day and was it disappointing as the infant ground was ill designed resulting in my baby girl falling into a edge knocking her head. There is a cushioned slope to climb up but at the bottom of the slope there was no cushion to prevent knocks.

We have reflected to the service personnel at the Buds playground and he said it's a problem well know. As several toddlers had fallen too.
I hope it gets fixed soon.

Also the artificial sand pit was a disaster as the plastic sand was all over the rest of the playground and it affected the ball pits as well. Stepping onto them in the ball pits were really uncomfortable and the sound kids were picking them up and throwing it around.

We saw the staff sweeping up the sand but it was fruitless as they were equipped with only small broom. A hand held vacume cleaner maybe more effective.

Other than that food at the line and room service was good as usual.

We hope to visit again. But please let us know if you will fix up the issues mentioned above so that we know our next trip will be better.

Beautifully decorated based on these five elements of wood stones water wind and trees. Friendly staff. Well equipped gym and spectacular kids playroom. Great location too slightly secluded from the hectic orchard road. Five star if they can get their kitchen halal certified
