We are regularly staying at Shangri La hotels.On this occasion we specially picked the Tower Wing to see the new upgrade. We liked the the Lobby and amenities there in. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience .On checking in we were allocated "a nice room " .Unfortunately it turned out to be the smallest least comfortable room on floor 7 . Insults was added to injury as we had booked months ahead and PREPAID. COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WE WERE ALLOCATED THE END ROOM LEFT SIDE FROM LIFT. We requested a change and were well received and attended by a senior Reservation manage on duty.We enjoyed our 7 nights in room 1303 . Will not stay in another type of room. Thanks to thoughtful Manageress. We enjoyed breakfast, Veranda and Origin Bar-Grill. Staff made our stay a Joy. Lobby service slow .

I stayed in the Garden Wing and there's only 2 lif...

I stayed in the Garden Wing and there's only 2 lifts. It's a long long wait during the check-in hours. No proper queue system at the lift. Luckily I stayed at level 4, I will just take the stairs instead. At level 4, there's no indicator which lift is coming when I pressed the button, and I can't tell which storey the lifts are at. If I have this visual indicator, I will then decide to take the stairs or wait for the lift.

Lets start with something positive?

The laksa was awesome! Had it twice.

Ok, back to the negatives.

- Over-promised via email prior to arrival, under-delivered majorly after arrival.
- Asked to upgrade to get the room earlier. Upgraded to club room, air-con malfunctioned, downgraded with refund and asked to pay for access to club lounge if required (in the end the access was given FOC).
- No communication between departments (in-room dining to housekeeping; in-room dining to club lounge)
- Appalling service standards at the club lounge.

For a hotel that prides itself to be family orientated, the staff definitely is not trained for it. Not sensitive to infant/child requirements etc. Asked staff at the club lounge if the soy sauce for the kid's porridge is served at the side or cooked in the porridge? Received a reply of "Ohh... I wouldn't know ?!?"

Service at the club lounge was non-existent. Left to own devices. No basic courtesy, no asking if guest needed anything, maybe i was a local asian?

After many memorable visits to the Valley Wing, we once gain were not disappointed with our stay.
From the staff and the attentiveness to our needs to the flawless service and presentation it was again a most memorable journey to Shangri-La

Super family friendly hotel! Staff are friendly an...

Super family friendly hotel! Staff are friendly and quick to respond. Love the Garden Wing room with the king size bed and ample amenities, including kids toiletries and bedroom slippers!

Buds indoor playground and Splash Zone are perfect for the kids. And the hotel even provides life jackets for kids for parents peace of mind! Very nice touch in my opinion!

The breakfast choices seem slightly limited because of the covid situation I think, and no more buffet line. But it's still Ala carte buffet style and still good choices especially dishes for kids. As we were early before the crowd came in, the auntie server was very attentive to us and asked my kids what else they wanted and tried to accommodate them accordingly. Customer service at its best I would say!

Very lovely of them to include a birthday cake and even a birthday card for my little one!

Thank you Shangri-la for the perfect staycation!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Shang ri la Si...

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Shang ri la Singapore immensely. We enjoyed the wonderful served both at the Horizon Club and at the Origins grill. Our younger children loved the pool and new play areas. We were very thankful to all your wonderful staff, in particular Miss Ning who took my whole family around and introduced us to ll at the various rooms available as well as well as showing us all the fun activities available to my younger children. We look forward to returning very soon.

Personal attention from the point the car door ope...

Personal attention from the point the car door opened and Nora said "Welcome Mr and Mrs Robinson....". to all the staff coming out and waving goodbye at the end. All the staff had learnt our names and no matter where we went we were always greeted with our names.
Our suite in the Valley Wing was all we could have ever wished for and more besides.
Harpist created a wonderful atmosphere (she is a talented musician).
Summit Room amazing dining venue. All the orchids in the gardens - no need to visit the botanical gardens near by! Champagne, cocktails, food and many other included items.

Phone in WC not working
Sauna: the timer system is not friendly. We need to witch it on one hour before use. It should be always warm like any other shangrila.

If I could rate you a 10 I would. What a magnificent hotel. The kids/family floor is brilliantly executed. The pool is a haven of relaxation and beauty. We ve been all over the world and stayed at many of the top hotels. I d put the Singapore Shangri La right up there with the best of them.
My only quibble is with the concierge staff - we didn t feel like they connected with us in a way to really direct us to the right restaurants, shops, etc. Being a top notch concierge seems to be a lost art these days...:

The air-con was not very cold despite putting it to the lowest level at 18 degrees! I had booked a room with king size bed but on check in was informed only twin bed was available. Was given a meal voucher. Otherwise room finishing and decor is excellent.

It was a very calm and high-grade hotel.
We had an afternoon tea, but there were many items and it was delicious. The tour bus to the city was free from the hotel and used several times. The Japanese staff came and helped me to make dinner reservations.

I would readily recommend the Rose Veranda for high tea or lunch anytime. The spread may lose to some other hotels in terms of variety but they more than make it up with the superb quality of food. Service is top notch too.

As always you are my favorite hotel on the planet....

As always you are my favorite hotel on the planet. Great hospitality, great service, super friendly staff just great, great food (only two suggestion that you might think about is vegetable juices to do by the guest themselves e.g. like at the Interconti in Melbourne and honey in a honey comb)

Overall experience was good, counter staffs are doing good front line service.

However, improvement can be done as such, we booked for family package but had to call and request for my child amenities and while my kid was having afternoon nap, service staff knocked on our door 3 times. 1st : to deliever my lavender pillow 2. Deliever fruits 3. Deliever my child amenities.



Expecting even better experience during our next stay! :) Overall i would recommend to my parents friends as its definetly a very child friendly hotel. But i will have second thoughts for dinner at the line.

One of our stay days had limited beds space by the pool. Also having the option to choose well done or cooking levels for the breakfast ordering app would help. Especially for eggs. Overall very enjoyable.

Overall Shangri-la S'pore did not disappoint as befits the brand. However, I don't understand why my stay could not garner any GC points even though booked under my name - the staff n manager told me something about it being booked by a travel agent which did not make sense to me. However, also a wee bit disappointed with the shower heads - the rain shower rose could not be used n the handheld one was fixed at almost ceiling height n refused to budge! Love the breakie spread n there was even Prosecco! Otherwise the comforts n Nespresso etc were all in place.

Your breakfast has declined beyond belief since 2014.

From fresh pastries and French yogurt to the equivalent of a basic hospital cafeteria. Did some consultant promise you we wouldn t notice?

Paid $600 for late check out - and never got it plus the hotel cancelled our access cards.

Furthermore, finding so many staff struggling with English was the final straw.

Stayed in the Tower Wing, staff was friendly and professional.
Food was good, lots of options at The Line but it could be a little more vegan friendly for Breakfast.
Pool closes a little early at 8pm. Having an adult swim time after on the weekends might be a good idea.
We also would have liked to have a microwave in our room since were there for 2 whole weeks. For some reason when you search the hotel Google has it listed that all of the rooms have kitchens but that is incorrect.

went there for an event. venue was and big. lobby felt relaxing. food was good, quality maintained despite the large number of people to cook for. just a little out of the way if you don't have a car.

Excellent Housekeeping Staff kept the room in good shape. The renovated room provided better amenities, however the pool view was blocked by the table kept in front of the window.
The hotel still needs to have a more robust Guest Service Team on phone after 10pm as any calls made after this time usually was not picked quickly.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times. On this occasion I was attending a conference and used the restaurants and other facilities but not over night stay.
Food at Shangri La is always excellent and conference facilities are of very high quality.

My stay was very nice. I enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness at the hotel. The mattress was very comfortable. The only issue was with departure. There was a line with maybe 3 people ahead of me to checkout. However it took almost 10 minutes to get to the counter. There were 6 people working so plenty of staff. It seemed like all of the guests at the counter had complicated issues rather than simple checkouts like mine. It also took a while to get a taxi to the airport. There was only 1 family ahead of me but it seemed that few taxis come to the hotel. I never had breakfast at the hotel although it was included in the rate. I didn't have time and wasn't very hungry each morning. It would have been nice to have a lower rate without breakfast. I think our corporate rate did not provide an option without breakfast.

We had a wonderful time. Accommodation excellent, staff superb, an outstanding experience. The only suggestion I would offer is that the afternoon tea selection was rather limited in the Horizon club.

Thank you for preparing a lovely birthday cake for my husband's birthday. My family enjoys the stay very much and had lots of fun. The staff is friendly and helpful, which makes our stay very comfortable. We look forward to staying at Shangri-la again.

Location not the best, but that can be a good thing. Everything else is great. Horizon club is good, especiallly for a quiet breakfast. Pool has plenty of loungers. The buffet lunch in the lobby is devine. And from room service was a delivered by a lovely and friendly chinese lady.

This hotel is majestic. Lovely huge main lobby with plenty of places to sit.

The staff are Shangri-La standard.

Loved the room and simple light switches. And teak timber flooring in the Garden Wing rooms.

And the bed mattress is the best among all the hotels I have stayed. Their younger sibling Jen Hotel s beds are similarly awesome.

Everything works here.

I am lucky to stay here for my SHN. The room is spacious, clean and very comfortable bed with good mattress and pillow. Toilet is spacious and suitable for wheelchair user. The quality of meals provided is top standard.

Best check in ever, fast and efficient. All of the staff I have encountered are all helpful and treated me like VIP even if I am not. All the amenities are great! Facilities for the kids are great and hotel is super beautiful and clean.

Although we hope water bidet or hose is available in every room because we are not used to not having one. Also, it would be great for your hotel to consider having separate utensils for muslim clients. Or let clients know if there are cafes or restaurants nearby that is certified Halal or Muslim friendly.

For families with infants or toddlers, it would be great for your hotel to also provide fragrance plastic bag for diapers disposal. I feel not comfortable leaving it to the housekeeping team to clear it out for us.

The swimming pool is great, however it would be cooler with a section that is warmer for the babies and toddlers to soak in as well.

I did not get my welcome tea during my arrival, if I was not mistaken that was part of my package, I might be wrong.

The place looks very posh, staffs are friendly and the lobby is very cozy. It is located in orchard thus its a good location for people wanting to shop in singapore since the shopping area is just a few minutes walk.
