Rubbish. Air con is powered by rocks & had to call an engineer to clean the filters as it was so noisy - didn't fix it. No pool. Room tiny compared to the shangri la HK. Location is average. Poor service at the bar. I advise to stay at the Fullerton instead - superior in almost every way.

New rooms on the small side. Food quality of breakfast at The Line below expectation. Spa treatment is good but massage bed is so soft that I came out of the treatment with a sore back. However, the overall feeling for this hotel is still good. Staff are friendly. Pool is nice, a great gym. Will still come back.

Cool and beautiful hotel. Lovely ambiance. Very cordial, cooperative hotel staff. One problem as it's difficult to have halal food here. Rest it's fine, place is on main Orchard road. 15 min walking distance from the Commercial centers.

Last time I was in Shangri-La was in 1991! I had very good remembering of the place, so I went back there, this time with my family, that I didn't have in 1991.
Even if a little bit bigger, the Shangri-La was still the same charming and refined hotel I was remembering.
Service is great and the personnel warm and kind. Everything was really great. In my opinion is number 1 in the hotels I have been in south Asia.

It was the most perfect experience where the staff always adhered to all our requests, no questions asked and with a smile always. The flexbility on our request for a late check-out at 4pm was very well appreciated :)

Lovely property with outstanding service but restaurants not idea for Western travelers and disappointing. Buffet although extensive in selection, there was only two meat items and other than salad, nothing else available in food which I had seen before.

The overall stay experience was fantastic. The various staff provided an amazing level of service, and the valley wing certainly lives up to its hype. The rare, 2.5m deep pool provided a ton of fun.

Wonderful place to stay. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in a beautiful hotel with great people and service and easy access on to Orchard Road to get around or get cheap taxis around the city. Will be back .

The hotel has excellent programmes and facilities for hotel guest especially family with kids.
The staff are really friendly and warm. Even waiters, janitors will greet you as they walk pass you. Which i dont get in other hotels.

I think that all guests should be promptly given their rooms on time. I booked two rooms and only one room was handed to me on time. The other room was 15 mins late and when I questioned about the punctuality, the response is that extra cleaning has to be done and inspection needs to be done to ensure the room is Done up well. However I feel the timing is a promise made by the hotel and they have to honour it regardless of the situation. I decided to just let it go despite my dad feeling tired and needing a place to sleep. Upon arrival at the room, room number 773 had a dirty cloth left on the table and a clean roster. I find it an irony that inspection was already done. My parents room (774) had a faulty sink issue and again I thought all this would have been rectified earlier upon inspection. I feedback to the counter staff and they said someone would be talking to me about all this, but there was none, even upon checkout. I feel this is not top class service that the hotel should aim to provide. Was not a good experience. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the morning breakfast and the kids play areas.

This is my first time staying at Shangri-La. Howev...

This is my first time staying at Shangri-La. However, the check in was a nightmare. The queue was so long and I was not able to check in at the standard 3pm and had to wait until 5pm because when I did finally reach the check in counter, I was told that my room was not ready. I also noticed that other people were served drinks as refreshments, but I was not offered any. I wonder why. It would have been most welcome given the long wait in the queue. Different standards?

The wait from 3pm - 5pm was 2 hours of my paid time that I could have been be in my hotel room and also the afternoon time for a nap for my young children, thus I had to deal with grumpy children as a result of that, which I didn't appreciate. There was no late check out either the next day when I requested for it because I was told that the hotel was at 100% occupancy rate. This was very disappointing as I had paid for a timely check in but 2 hours is really a delay too long.

The only "compensation" offered was one free waiver for one of my children to visit BUDS. I thought that was nice but left me hanging yet again when I have TWO children. So while the gesture was offered and accepted, offering TWO waivers would have made more sense to me for such a long delay. Something for your front desk to think about when doing service recovery.

The family did enjoy the Line for our breakfast, outdoor playground & waterplay area, and also the BUDS playground. So that was good.

Service was excellent as always, although I never received the electronic copy of the bill as I was promised.
Not sure how much I like the renovated room. It looks like the designer as trying for a minimalist look but the result was jsut dull and unfinished. Also, the desk is situated in such a way that one is blinded by the sun and must close the drapes in order to work. Also, there should be a phone on the desk

We did the family funcation package for a night, staff were attentive, lots of nice little gestures for the kids (including birthday balloons and a cake for our a little one!).
Really family friendly stay, the splash zone was great fun, nice pool and buds for indoor soft play too. Plenty of choices for food plus staying in the garden wing, a great waterfall feature which they had staff out with fish feed for the kids in the morning. A great staycation overall!

It s my 2nd time in your hotel. We stayed for 3nights last June 2019 in a garden wing pool view room & since we really had a great time & a relaxing stay, We came back to Shangrila Singapore with our kids last July 2019. They love everything. Our daughter enjoyed the pool. Though the water in the shower of our room was not that strong, But Thank you to Sir Raj for addressing to our concern right away. We also love your Peranakan Buffet at the lobby. Even your Laksa & Chicken sate in Inroom Dining. Definitely, we will come back!!! Thank you!!!

The stay and staff as always was great. one issue is the egg station during breakfast, your staff member was excellent, she handled the situation well but unfortunately due to way it is designed people do try and push in so i was forced to engage with another guest about his manners and it was confronting. This should be avoided and people who think that they are above everyone else do require structure and control unfortunately. I am sure the last thing you need is violence at the egg station and i am afraid one day the uncivilized will force this upon your other guests.

Went for the Line buffet. Weekday lunch. I find the food arrangement or display or whatever you call it not appealing/attractive. I didn't really enjoy myself despite the Line being famous for its wide range of variety. Maybe they can improve on their presentation to make the food look more attractive. Teh Tarik was also no sweet enough. Overall quite disappointed with my visit.

The ultimate remarkable family holiday.

The ultimate remarkable family holiday.
It exceeded all of our expectations, and we had very high expectations after staying in very good hotels in the past. No one as good as this one.
The room was absolutely amazing and comfortable, always clean and someone came to check if we need anything every day, the buds for kids was very helpful for us as family with children. The fact that this is also very family oriented was major consideration for us. The friendly staff and the check in process. Even though we arrived early, we were taken immediately to the lounge and were allowed to use all facilities. Didn t happen to me in any hotel so far where nothing was allowed before room was ready and official check in time.
Thank you very much and I am sure we will be back again.

An awesome stay..couldnt fault even a tiny bit..staff polite and caring,food delicious, Rooms perfectly clean, Smooth checkin and checkout..Overall a wonderful experience and can recommend anytime for a stay. So well done Shangri La for making another customer happy...On negative side, It took longer than expected to reach from airport to hotel but its nothing to do with hotel and singapore chaotic traffic is to blame..

The room service and amenities for my toddler and baby were impeccable and comprehensive. My children truly enjoyed their stay in the room. However, our breakfast and dinner at The Line was disappointing. It was so crowded that a queue was formed in order to enter the restaurant to have our breakfast. During breakfast and dinner, it seems the restaurant was under staffed. We had to repeated ask for children's cutlery before out girl can have her meal.

I ate at the buffet ( the line) for dinner.There is alot of different cuisines to try from. The deserts are delicious and there is also fruits. Sushi and seafood is also available. Though the waiter serving my family and I failed to top up the water for us. My expectations are high as Shangri-la hotel is a five-star hotel. I recommend trying the fish curry. For all the cheese lovers out there, there is CHEESE!

Booked a Valley Wing room which was very spacious, came with a big bathtub and king sized bed with both firm and soft pillows. The room was immaculately clean, as was the entire hotel.

The pool wasn't the biggest we'd seen in local hotels, but it was clean and well covered by lifeguards. There is a cool 2.5 deep end of the pool too. The hotel's 15 acres surroundings were enjoyable to explore, and every area seemed very well maintained - no signs of rust, mold, insects etc.

The gym is very big, including the cavernous shower/locker area. It is definitely bigger than most local hotels.

The Garden Wing has a very well kept garden area with koi, waterfalls, ferns and palm trees. It feels like a private jungle/garden of sorts, which is wonderful to enjoy when on a getaway.

Service here is great, we felt that our needs were always attended to and similarly not too intrusive.

While the location may require a 10min walk to the Orchard belt, this is also nice as you're able to gawk at posh condominiums on the way there. It also affords a little added sense of a getaway as opposed to having the city literally at your doorstep.

All in, this staycation was very enjoyable and memorable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable local getaway.
