The room is Abit old with musky smell in the vanity area. It is Abit dusty in the sofa area.

The great grandfather of all Shangri-La properties...

The great grandfather of all Shangri-La properties. It is where it all began. Recently refurbished and updated for mordern times. A little out of Orchard shopping belt but to her advantages; more space, quiet and serene. It s like a resort oasis in the city.
Great Club floor benefits, well worth the extra outlay. Keep it a secret, else I can t get a room in future.
You really don t have to leave the property. Delicious and authentic Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Local and Buffett spreads that will amaze you. Oh there is also a steak house and tea cafe. Really quite amazing.

Stayed in this hotel as I had a conference here. The buffet food choices superb, food taste deliciius and the hotel team were friendly and helpful.
Just a slight drawback that when we kept the luggage after checking out (as we still have some activities on), they really took time to find our luggage as we were rushing for our flight. Maybe in the future, the front desk team can further ask on flight timing so that the placement of bags in the luggage storeroom could be prioritized.

One point though, please top up Shangrila s mooncake supply for guests. Avoided online purchase to buy during stay for a better view/in house retail experience but a lot of guests were turned away.

First impression of the hotel is great: the staff ...

First impression of the hotel is great: the staff (especially front desk) were immaculately groomed and articulate with appropriate measure of tact and attentiveness; attention to details, finesse and follow-through were also on-point; the decor were very tastefully done; the landscaping was amazing; have enough facilities to keep the kids occupied.

Overall, it came across as a classy and classic establishment, very well run by a competent management.

However, as in everything in life, nothing can be too perfect. Areas to improve: the bath tub hose was leaky and I almost scald myself with hot water. The complimentary nespresso pods were all decaffeinated, instead of the usual offering according to the picture provided. The food at The Waterfall was also underwhelming.

Despite these minor hiccups, we would still strongly recommend the hotel for any family looking for a fun-filled stay and taken care of by competent and passionate staff.

Very nice hotel in a quiet residential area. Network level service. The best pool ever in my hotel history. Great breakfasts at the Line cafe. With free roads, 10 minutes to the city center and a taxi.

We booked a room at the Garden Wing. Very beautiful resort vibe room. Room was clean but you can see that the furniture it is quite dated already. Bathtub is a little small, would prefer if they made it bigger. Balcony leads out to the pool area, with two comfortable sun chairs for you to lounge on. Pool water temperature is really nice, and pool area also has heated jaccuzis if you prefer it even warmer.

This is my first time staying at the Shangri-la Or...

This is my first time staying at the Shangri-la Orange Grove, and as a first timer, I really had a pleasant stay. The staffs were so helpful, friendly and know how to handle guests in a very proper way. I also wanted to thank the hotel for allowing me to do the check-in at 10 AM in the morning after my very early flight, which was so awesome. I can do a little nap before doing the conference at the Island Ballroom. Thank you once again. For the room, I must say that everything was under very well-maintainance. The furnitures were really clean, well for an OCD like me, it's so relieving. Not mentioning the toiletries, I just love the way you choose jasmine and bergamot for the option. Love it so much. Definitely gonna be back.

I didn't stay as a guest, but came for an event that hosted in their ballroom.

Location is far away from MRT and easy bus access, it seems that you're meant to have a car or spend money on a driver if you want to get there or get home. I'm not a big fan of that.

Food was OK, but not really remarkable. All said, it seemed like a run-of-the-mill convention hall more than a top of the line hotel.

To be honest, there was nothing at all wrong with the place, I just didn't like the vibe that much.

Overall was good. buds was awesome for the little one. Only issue is abit on the bathroom which leaked and made my bathroom all wet! Also, was not able to get seats for lunch at Shang Restaurant as its fully booked.

Baby got sick and vomited in the middle of the night but was glad there were service staff available to help replace new pillows!

All I can say is that you take pride in your Shang...

All I can say is that you take pride in your Shangri La brand because I recieved the same warm service across your other hotels, even at the more affordable Hotel Jen chain, the warmth of the Shangri La brand is apparent. However, the world is changing and with that comes the attitude of some of the younger 'strawberry generation' staff who can sometimes be nonchalant and think that attention to details are not of importance. This affects the whole hotel & service industry unfortunately, not only your hotel. For example, during my stay, I brought my kids to buds indoor playground. On the morning of our checkout day, we discovered the other part of buds, the outdoor play area. When I questioned the staff why I wasn't informed of the outdoor play area the day before, she casually answered "I wasn't working yesterday, so I don't know." A very appalling reaction, in the service line, to simply put it as 'not my problem'. I emailed my feedback on the staff's nonchalant attitude and promptly received a service recovery call just before checking out from the room. An apology would suffice but your staff went the extra mile in offering complimentary vouchers for Buds to my kids. That really warmed me. Other instances that blew me through the roof was when the shuttle bus we queued up for was full and you provided a cab ride to ION Orchard for us and I am really grateful for that. Also, I had requested for the room to be decorated with balloons, as the staycation was intended as a celebration for my girl's milestone, going into pri. 1 next year. But again, you went out of the way and gave a personalized card and gifts for my girl. She was really happy to see her name, made her feel special. Thank you for that. There is no doubt the service I experienced here is one of the best in Singapore, even surpassing the Ritz and I am convinced to always get the best from the Shangri La brand. I have never thought to stay here before, usually choosing hotels that are more accessible to malls and other amenities but after this stay, I will make sure we stay here at least once a year.

extremely personalised check-in - excellent room and facilities. Staff were very helpful. The garden and hotel facilities were excellent. Made us feel like it was more an experience than a stay. My only regret is that we left too early to have our breakfast

It s my second visits in Singapore Shangri-La, it s always my must go Hotel. However, this time is a bit different. Ms Pierre has been the highlight of the trip, she has been the most helpful and friendly during our stay. No matter we forgot the room keys or changes for cash, as well as local delights. She is the go to person. Thank you so much :)

We chose Shangri-La Singapore due to our previous experiences in Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong and Kota Kinabalu. We were not disappointed with our choice. We stayed B&B as we like to eat out at different restaurants in town. Breakfast food choices are excellent.

Whilst the hotel has all the luxuries of a five star hotel it is the friendliness and attention to detail of your staff that makes each person feel valued. It was a very personal experience that I must commend your colleagues for. From breakfast staff to reception staff, pool staff to housekeeping staff, door staff to bar staff they were all exceptional. Thank you.

From entering the hotel to leaving early 2 days later, the whole experience is 5 star. Excellent service, good food & friendly service. One area needing more attention is the downstairs restaurant , near pool.
Whilst attractive venue, service was slow, atmosphere not inviting & generally not an enjoyable experience. We ate at 3.00pm & felt a nuisance interrupting the change from lunch to dinner.

Everything was beautiful. The amenities in the bathroom were wonderful. The coffee machine great. Having milk in fridge was perfect. Only the bed was a little too hard for me. the bags were already in my room when I got there! Delightful!

The reservation staff at the beginning was great. I was not sure if I want to book with the hotel but MR Benji (not sure if this is the right name) convinced me to stay with Shangri-la. He was very polite and explained everything that I wanted to know. Further the check in staff was very kind and helpful. The room was great. Food quality was good.

Stayed at Shangri-La's over the week after having bought a staycation package. The hospitality from the concierge to all the staff were all top notch. Service desk was always helpful and provided assistance promptly.

The room itself was decorated nicely and spacious, more than I had expected. Everything was working and in good order, I especially loved the thoughtful touches (e.g. complimentary snacks, sanitization packs).

This said, there were 2 things about the stay that was unsatisfactory. First was that we found a cockroach on the minibar on the last night of our stay. We managed to catch the insect, but was not pleasant given the expectation of the cleanliness/pest control standards of a 5 star hotel. Next, we also requested for late checkout at 2pm and this was confirmed at the concierge during check in. However, during check-out we were told that the late checkout request had lapsed and was in fact unavailable. We were given a grace period of 1 hour to check out, which was okay but better communication should have been given here.

Hotel is good and centrally located.Rooms and neat and clean but small. Bathrooms are good too. I was staying with my family. At the time of booking it was not mentioned that access to kids area, indoor as well as outdoor, would be chargeable. We thought that if we are booking the room as family with extra bed, the access to the playing area both indoor and outdoor would be included in the price, but that was not so.When I asked the operator at Guest Services to kindly reconfirm that the kids have access to playing area, nobody cared to give a call back.

The outdoor activities for the kids were far better in Adventure Cove and Universal Studios.
Further the quality of service and food was also not up to the mark, particularly of inroom dining.Vegetranian menu is next to nothing.Also our experience of alacarte at the "The Line" was also disappointing, it took almost an hour for the food to be served and that too in parts.

Overall there was atmosphere of cold, uneasy luxury with no personal touch whatsoever.It didn't seem worth the amount expended.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated like VIPs, yet in a friendly, warm way. All of the staff and the amenities were wonderful. The morning breakfast in the Summit Room was spectacular...such a lovely setting. And the afternoon bubbly high tea and evening canapes with free flow drinks/wine were well presented and prepared. This is pretty amazing as we are in the middle of the pandemic. You and your staff thought thru every aspect and made our stay most enjoyable and memorable.

It was only disappointing to order from the Japanese desk each time, because towels and gowns for one person were not arranged (for three people: extra bed available) for two days in three nights. Apart from that, the hospitality of the front desk staff was very high and I was able to spend pleasantly. Breakfast buffet (RISE), assortment, taste, everything is the best. When we went shopping in Orchard, we could use the hotel tour bus and it was convenient. The pool was comfortable and comfortable. After checking out on the last day, when waiting for a large number of taxis waiting outside in a row, the front staff distributed mineral water, and it was a wonderful response until the very end. When I go to Singapore next time, I would like to stay again.

We stayed two nights in the Garden Wing when we stopped over at Singapore recently. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The gardens were very well maintained and we were amazed that we can have such a sanctuary so close to Orchard Road. MRT is within walking distance. Haven't slept so well in a hotel before. The buffet breakfast was superb.

Great stay at the Shangri-La. The kids club is exceptional as are the breakfast choices. The only problem was that the area was on shutdown for a presidential visit, this meant that the hotel was very busy and it was difficult to get a taxi. Other than that great stay, great location, amazing for kids and good food.
