Valley Wing Deluxe room.

Valley Wing Deluxe room.
Staff very forthcoming from front desk, waiters, room service, concierge, etc. And they also know when to be discreet.

Top notch hotel and service. Style seems mixed European Art nouveau with Asian elements. Magnificent.

Some room equipment maybe a bit older, but in good shape. Bathroom spacious with separate shower, bath tub and separate toilet. No toilet shower, but a Bidet instead.

Great breakfast, top quality food, a la carte menu for VW guests with option to go to the big buffet area with several cooking stations.

Health Club (spa facilities and fitness area) good maybe not the best I have seen in other hotels. Pool and garden area relaxing. Pool goes as deep as 2.5m. Did not take massage spa service.

Other residing guests (behaviour) during our stay matched the 5star hotel classification/expectation and the mandatory Lounge dress code underscored this attitude goal. Not snobby, but elegant, respectful classy.

Value for money:
A stay certainly comes with a price tag and there might be better value for money options on first/superficial sight.
However, in my humble view: For those, who know valuing high class equipment, customized and discreet service, top notch selected food, stylish high standard interior (no shortcuts, fake elements, compromise) and classy entertainment (harp played in VW lounge, piano and flute in tower wing lobby), then the Shangri-La Singapore might be the right place.
