Raine of Frobt Desk was real helpful as I only booked the stay a day before (my friend's availability was erratic so the availability window just sprang up after my late night dinner at HEAT where Lawrence, Arcie and Mayra treated me like a rock star) Check-in was a breeze with Iris arranging our room request for a view of the pool - also thanks to Front Office Manager Noli for accomodating this request), I also observed Iris' warm yet professional demeanor in handling the checkouts for the 2 doctors who attended the Pfizer convention. Room 832 was ready with my amenities too. I lunched at HEAT where Bessie and Cecille equally made sure my dining needs were promptly attended to. Our breakfast visit was very satisfying starting with the welcoming service from Glaiza. Pinky complimented the very filling breakfast with her thoughtful gesture of fresh mango slices for a healthy start. I forgot the name of the lanky chef in the fruit section who sent papaya slices to our table for our Vit C fix. Chef JB read my mind when he surprised us with the delicious bread pudding which I never miss whenever I dine at HEAT, it feels good to be proactively attended to specially with Eileen's endorsement. I also acknowledge Tina's caring attitude when she rook tome to greet me while getting my 2nd serving of the pancakes. Check-out was likewise speedy with Princess' able assistance. These innately congenial attention from these team members cement my continued loyalty to Edsa Shangri-La (and rhe Shangri-La group too) despite newer hotel properties opening near my apartment building. Thank you and I look forward to the consistently habit forming service when I cone back to treat my lady best friend to her post birthday getaway soon.

Welcome lady wears a sunny smile that brights up our day. I think her name is something like Therese. House keeping did a great job putting everything in order. After my long business day, it feels great to see everything in order. Hotel was really sweet in offering me a small cake on my birthday, which came as a surprise on my desk. Pool staff was kind to offer me additional information on the water quality when I was planning on going to the pool. Morning zumba class teacher is energetic. Buffet breakfast at Heat offers great variety, very impressive. SPA reservation is not complicated. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Bathroom sink and side mirror had problems, but were soon fixed after contacting the front desk. The only down side is that dinner order to serve on the Horizon Club Lounge late evening came rather late and we were starving.

Nice security guard.
Breakfast is amazing.
Room facility is a bit old, especially bathroom and shower.
Check out a bit slow, considering 6:00 in the morning, understandable.

It was an event for us that we'll always treasure as it was our Anniversary. The dining staff gave us an anniversary slice of heaven by sending a piece of cake to our room. Thank you so much. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

We have our annual convention in EDSA Shangri-La. this year was specially outstanding. Was able take a break, re-charge and heal my aches. Special mention to our room service lady Rubianne. She was edficient, polite and respectful , and mindful of our needs. Thank u Shangri-la. You are exceptional.

Garden Wing is DISGUSTING. Overpriced for a mould...

Garden Wing is DISGUSTING. Overpriced for a mouldy smelly, dated room. You should be ashamed to let guests stay in such a room. The bed linen has holes, you have stripped the cover of the head of the bed so its now just bare sponge. The shower is from the 90 s and the smell is of an old garage/basement. I have stayed at this hotel for more than 10 years, it s really gone downhill. The breakfast quality and quantity is poor, what happen to all your bakery items ? the croissants look frozen and from a 7 eleven. The security at this hotel is over the top, worst than the airport. Your concierge need better training. I can go on and on. I will never stay at another Shangri-la again after this experience. It is clear it is being run just for profit. It has had its day and unfortunately lost its magic. Nolly Castro the coward manager has failed to address my e-mail, he just uses copy and paste on the complaint templates.

I spotted some stains on my bed sheet after checking in. Good that the housekeeping had it changed soon after my request. I would recommend the hotel to run a detail inspection before turning the room to the next guest.

Booked 3 rooms and we were checked in late. Reception said it was because of the system being down. We booked rooms so that we can relax before the party at 6pm at the hotel but checking in that day caused us so much stress. 2 rooms were given to us around 4pm and the last one at 5:30pm!! Unbelievable! I so regret booking as it was easier to prep for the party from our home.

Also, I specifically asked for a different card issued by the concierge so as not to confuse my stuff from my relatives. Turned out, they gave all the stuff to my relatives who got their room first. They have their own card and I have my own. If we only have one card, I would understand if they gave my stuff to them but I have my own card!

Nothing special about the breakfast. But I look forward to having lunch/dinner at Heat.

Excellent Service. Restaurants and Pool are still among the best in the Metro. Bakery had the best Banana Bread in town. Had a few issues with the room (mini bar was locked and in-room safe needed to be reprogrammed) but the duty manager quickly resolved concerns. Check in was a breeze; check out took a while, as it was peak season. Luggage Assistance was requested at check out but no one came 30 minutes later so we carried our seven pieces by ourselves.

The place has no short cuts. Walking was long just to get to the lobby, smoking area, resto and my room. The experience was suppose to be relaxing... not tiring and stressful. The room was just ok. I know other hotels with better rooms but cheaper price. I checked in early and was told that my room is for inspectuon and Front desk said they'll call or message me when my room is ready but it never happened. I had to line up again and check in. When i was in my room i could even hear the cleaning people talk loudly outside. Lastly when i was asking for directions where my room was with a front desk personel beside an elevator, she didnt even smile. It was more like i was bothering her. Is it because i was only wearing a shirt and jeans??? I used to stay here often when i was young and wanted to relive that... sadly this will not happen again.

Hands down the best buffet I've ever had, hotel or otherwise. Nice clean rooms, accommodating staff though the aircon is a little strong. The level of service is a little above my comfort zone, I prefer a touch more rough and ready, but if it's your thing you won't be disappointed.

The staff is amazingly attentive and helpful. You only have to let your wish be known and they are on it. The rooms are lovely and clean but the focus piece of this hotel is the oasis like pool they have created. Surrounded by palm trees and chaise lounges this pool is beautiful. They also manage to keep it at s perfect temperature. Gym facilities on sight are also spectacular and the classes/instructors so engaging

Ordered the breakfast waffles here and beef tapa at the lounge. The breakfast waffles taste like the microwaveable ones you buy in the grocery. Tasteless. For the beef Tapa, you have to be really patient. It takes them 65 minutes to cook it. More than 1 hour. As for the beef tapa flavor, it's good but you really have to be patient. Overall lobby experience here is below the usual in Manila.

Petron has event but unfortunately their aircon in the ballroom and Batanes room is insufficient for the volume of guests. No car pass issued so we have to pay on 1 cashier serving a very long line of people. They did not even bother to add extra cashier and poor ventilation on the area to think that is still part of edsa shang hotel

Of any hotel chain that I have stayed in, the Shangri-La is the best hands down. The Edsa did not disappoint. Curteous staff. Delicious food and the best workout center yet! I will be back if my travels take me back to Manila!

My family rates the experience as only good per fo...

My family rates the experience as only good per following observations during our 5 days and 4 nights stay:

1.complimentary breakfast at the heat for the price of 1900++ is kind of expensive compared to other 5 star hotels in manila which offer a wider spread with almost the same price; very little variety on a daily basis since we had our breakfast for 5 days

2.we had to constantly remind twice or thrice before our request for 3 persons : bottled water,toiletries; take note that we paid for an extra person on a daily basis.

3.we were expecting welcome "fruits" not "bread" as i have also included in my preference, a gluten-free diet.

4.we were not able to have our Christmas eve dinner at the Heat because I did not pay for deposit,well in fact, the receptionist, after I have asked for printout of the menu (during our breakfast on Dec 24) ,said it was alright for me to charge it to my room as I'vre told her we are staying in the hotel. I was expecting your personnel (answering the phone) to offer me other restaurants in your hotel but she did not until I need to ask her to transfer me to a line that will connect me to another of your restaurants serving Christmas eve dinners as well. ALAS! I just was hooked to ringing line for 6 minutes until I finally hung up to my dismay!!

5.The lounge personnel were definitely lovely and checks on our needs every now and then but your baking staff may consider serving less dry (fresher) bread as my sister and bro in law commented,pastries tasted less than fresh

6.assistance about a worrisome bidet came after 20 minutes which would be a long, difficult wait for persons who need to use their private room toilet.

7.the lovely,rejuvenating scents in the room are unfortunately only available in makati lobby lounge.

8.the spa service is comparable with other hotel amenities which is good

9.mobile check in and out are truly convenient, speedy and helpful.

We wish we could have had better experience with your hotel.

I have shared my feedback in form of emails over last 3-4 months with EDSA Shangri La Management. Have shared all my complaints with them, including room not cleaned for 3 days, delivery of wrong food in the room, long check in time etc. Few things improved after repeated complaints.

I super like the scent of the hotel lobby it was totally relaxing. Had a great stay. Its just that I left my iphone earphones and samsung earphones at the room but no one ever bother to message or call so they could give it back to me. Tsk tsk. Small thing but honesty counts.

Shangri-la is but one of the few hotels that i go to if i want to stay and relax in Metro Manila. Its very close to 2 big malls and the accommodation is very relaxing. They have a fast check-in and check-out service and the food in the Heat Restaurant is truly superb. They also have an excellent gym area for those who do not want to miss any workout. The pool is also nice. However, i'd caution those who do not know how to swim since they have an area which is 9 feet deep. Life guards are all over the place so the kids are closely watched. Overall, i had a great time at Edsa Shangri la. The room and all of the amenities are truly excellent...

We celebrated our twin boys' 5th birthday through a staycation. They had a great time with the waterpark and the kiddie pool. The staff were very friendly. Thank you for the birthday cake delivered to our room. The king bed was very comfortable. Breakfast at HEAT was the best!

I was recently able to stay in Richmond Premier in Asakusa, Tokyo Japan and I really liked the fact that they went to the extra effort to provide us with pajamas. Your bathrooms were perfect, only the PJs were missing. But all in all a great experience.

A great oasis in the heart of Edsa-Ortigas. You feel like you are on an island resort and have all the benefit of being next to 2 shopping malls. The staff are very attentive to all your needs. We had a junior suite with Horizon Club privileges. Fantastic place to escape from the hustle and bustle. The pools are glorious. Best Shang in Manila by far. Only hassle is the one hour trip from/to the airport.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious but we dont like the lacking of bidet. The pool area is so nice, the water is not so cold so i like it so much and there is life jacket for the kids, wow. I think its better if there will be pool for kids w/ 2-3 ft only =) The breakfast buffe in Heat tastes good but im craving for more seafoods esp shrimp. Hope you guys serve seafood even if its breakfast.l
