One of the best steaks I've had, the buffet looked great too.

The food buffet is very diversified with an amazing quality.

Our third stay at SLAD was -like the ones before - a very good experience again. Starting with the concierge crew on arrival and most mornings when we took over our car (mentioning here Mr Shiva with his friendliness and hospitality which gave us a 'home' feeling) - going on with the reception team and the always very friendly and efficient room service. The wonderful breakfast and the high quality standard and service level of all restaurants (Thai, French, Chinese) made our stay very comfortable. Go on this way, dear SLAD! Best regards, Stephan

Bad communication with the manager of the "Residence" who seems little to listen to his customers

Unfortunately had some issues with stay. Due to staff treating guests differently. I was ordered by a member of staff to wear a mask while walking around swimming pool , but others were totally ignored.

Also children s pool was used by other guests who had no children as a toilet. Guests were sitting beside the pool
Drinking and frequently going in and out of pool all day but never left poolside for 8+ hours.

We had an amazing time though it was a short stay. The locality of the Hotel and its surrounding is very beautiful. The staff, service, rooms, and cleanliness:- everything was perfect. We will definitely come back in the future for weekend getaways. (Hopefully for longer duration this time ).

Sadly we missed the boat ride as it was not operational probably due to corona :( Looking forward to it the next time. Nevertheless, the Souq was a brilliant experience. So much to do and you can shop almost everything there.

A special thanks to the breakfast team@ Sofra, especially Durga, Cindy and Cherry. They were really nice and we had a great breakfast.

quite ok hotel, right near the airport which is convenient. good selection of different restaurants.

Good experience. Great breakfast. Great location. Friendly staff.
main issues:
A lot of hot\cold interfaces when going indoor and outdoor specially in summer periods. This resulted in catching flu. (I.e way to room is outdoor via reception which is indoor)
Breakfast only includes for buffet. Choice of having at room is not valid unlike many other hotels.

Great service and knowledgeable friendly staff. Especially the doormen and concierge. Very happy with their service.

Really luxury but with high prices as a result ... ugly and smelly sea, better to go to the pool!

Warm, conscientious hospitality. Beautiful grounds. Good upkeep. Excellent restaurants with a stand-out buffet frequented by locals. I'm in a one-bedroom apartment that is well kitted out -- full kitchen with convection oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer. Highly recommend.

My stay was short but I enjoyed it in terms of the fu and the market and the waterways are distinctive and healthy

I would love to thank whole team for great weekend! Everyone in the hotel was very attentive, and very friendly! For sure would be back!

Sofra restaurant is superb especially Sea food night

An amazing (but pricey) buffet dinner. Service was very good, but at this level I'd have expected a but more. The food was very good overall with a wide variety if middle Eastern and western food. There was wagyu beef as well but it was unfortunately dry and not as juicy as I would have expected. The lobster tails we're perfectly done and the seafood was excellent. Shashimi included tuna and sammon and was excellent.

Everything on the menu was of impeccable quality. The desert selection is huge and really excellent as well. The will be happy to custom cook you anything you like as well and have a kitchen and chefs to make for you anything you like.

A very enjoyable dinner overall.

The hotel is beautiful, loved our stay here during our time in Abu Dhabi! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the property and room was beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is situated along the river with beach overlooking the grand Sheikh Zayed mosque which provided excellent views throughout the day but especially during sunset. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai!

Great hotel. The view at beach is somewhat dissapointing. There is no WiFI by the pool, which is a real disadvantage. Other than that, a true world class hotel.

Great place for brunch and kid friendly too. Amazing service.

My stay was fair because I have to state the good points and the bad point of my experience. The hotel was very busy but a great team was always able to handle it and get us all through. Breakfast and pool with beach did Handel us very well, my visitors got upgraded to a nice suite, The sad thing is that I had a very unpleasant 2 nights because of the next room people who kept their door open all day night and kept their baby stroller outside the door. They were about 5 kids with their parents. Complaint through the call didn t work anything with them and my 2 babies couldn t sleep well because next room were up loud all the night. What I only heard from the room service was we are sorry sir.
Although I have noted to the front disk that I ll be looking to stay loyal and bring all my visitors to that hotel but still I believe I didn t get what I was expecting, Or they didn t believe me. If I could pay a one more thousand dirhams I am sure I would have got a better service or consideration some else where hotel.

Excellent design and big halls which make it the best Shangri la hotel so far

This is a slightly older hotel in the capital however the location, service and food are excellent! I highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous stay at the Shangri-la Abu Dhabi. Our only problem is that we only allowed three nights. It should have been at least four or five to really savor and enjoy all the amenities you offer. Having a Horizon room with balcony enhanced our experience even more.

Beautiful location and charming view and everything around you need

Very nice welcome to our arrival, all the staff at the little care for us.The spacious and nicely decorated rooms, the pool, the restaurant at breakfast everything is perfect and the most a wonderful view of the mosque if you have a balcony.
The spa is very welcoming too and the exceptional hospitality and to be able to enjoy the pool and jaccuzi as well as the spa until 11pm is just great.
Everything is perfectly organized to facilitate our stay and all the staff are smiling and polite.
So we were very happy to stay in your wonderful hotel

Highly recommend this hotel. Excellent service and the room was gorgeous with middle eastern decor. Only 15 minutes away from the Airport for those who are planning for stopover. I will definitely come back next time we are in Abu Dhabi.

This is an amazing place with gorgeous and luxurios rooms. The personel that works here will make you feel like royalty they go out of their ways to assist you with anything. I have to come back again because i decided to expend my birthday there.. what a great desicion!.Thank you thank you Leavana you were an angel make my staying an unforgettable!! also miss Jane she come to my room with flowers. Concierge Gyan he was awesome so nice and caring arranging everything I need it also Soman, Santosh and Wai lin also very attentive overrall my experience ih n the Shangri-la couldn't be better, whenever i go to abudabhi i will always stay there #best place in earth

Luxury, lavish place, awsome ambience. Best for couples

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

The Breakfast buffet in Sofra was very disappointing. We waited 15mins at the egg station and ended up leaving as the chief could not deal with all the orders and forgot about us. Some of the hot stations were totally empty of food and no chef replenishing them. This in my opinion is not acceptable especially at the weekend when you can predict it will be busy.

The Friday brunch was enjoyable. We were told we had to get our own drinks at the stations and each time we went there was no staff to be seen and had to wait 10mins before anyone would come to assist us. This was extremely frustrating as it was each time we wanted a drink.

We dined at the Shang Palace on the Thursday evening of our stay. The food was ok. The appetizers were nice, however the main courses were very disappointing. We ordered the Beef short ribs, which were not ribs. The pieces of meet were tough and very fatty and chewy. Ribs are suppose to be tender and fall apart. I ordered the spicy chicken, which was not very spicy and the chicken pieces had fat and grizzle in them. They were not all chicken breast pieces.

Apart from these negatives we did enjoy our stay. The infinity pool was gorgeous and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would consider staying in the hotel again as I love the Shangri La brand, however I would only do so if I knew that some of these elements had been changed.

Great Hotel with excellent beach and swimming facilities. Great Breakfast. Use of Club lounge was good, however more vegetarian options need to be provided especially in the 'Happy Hour'. Location of Hotel is secluded, Souk nearby is nice and very small - situated through a winding 'Venice' style canal, nice but not much to do after in the area if youve seen it once. If you want to just sit on the Beach and relax this is the hotel for you. Generally Abu Dhabi is a very quite city.....dont expect a 'Dubai' experience. Overall enjoyed the hotel and charming staff.

Beautiful hotel, lobby is always decorated lovely with fresh flowers. Arabic coffee and dates are always offered keeping up the lovely Emirati traditions. We had buffet breakfast in Sofra downstairs plenty of choices. Staff were also attentive.We then walked outside after to the souk which is nearby.

They went out of their way to make our anniversary extra special. The staff is always helpful, have a positive attitude and really seem to enjoy what they do.

Al Beri Village is considered one of the most beautiful places to visit in Abu Dhabi city, where the Al Beri Village Market is located, and you can also take a boat trip similar to the rifle in Italy

After you turn in from the BMW showroom you'll find shangri-la after the 2nd round about.

One of best resorts in UAE....with souq next door full of best signature restaurants...makes it the best romantic destination ever.

Everything was wonderful accept the air conditioning was not working on arrival. Being Abu Dhabi, this is unacceptable and should have been noticed before our arrival. They tried hard to fix and did not completely and multiple visits over an hour and a half at 1am is an inconvenience that made our first night difficult to relax and enjoy. I

Hotel is beautiful. Staff was totally amazing. Very helpful and always there when you needed something. Every aspect was just wonderful!

No one or warned me that the main pool would be closed all day on the 31st December. Diverting everyone to what is essentially the children s pool is totally unacceptable.

A great place to spend a couple of weeks in Abu Dhabi - very relaxing. The Horizon Club was well worth the extra cost.
