Very interesting even if you are not a big Shakespeare fan

A Shakespeare virgin, I was totally blown away - Romeo and Juliet, superb.

Some incredible productions shared at this stunning venue. Drinks & Food are very expensive, so for me that means 1 less star.

A unique opportunity to enjoy Shakespeare at its best. Superb directors, first rate cast, amazing and live music, innovative costumes, mesmerising lighting... all as in the original setting and at prices for all pockets starting at five pounds if you are happy to watch the performance as they used to do in the author s times, all standing and moving about. A must!

Maybe I am more inclined, but if you are interested in the theater, don't miss it. Have the opportunity to experience the past that we have learned about the bard, his work and the theatre. Our guide, Matt himself, is a screenwriter. He is very good and can attract my son very well. My son is a teenager.

If you want to feel the atmosphere of Elisabethan era, visit Globe Theatre. Shakespeare is more than ever our contemporary and, as he said, all the world is a stage. Enjoy!

I have been here a few times to watch some shows. Very nice experience although if you are not very fluent in English it might be difficult to follow the dialogues.

Great visit and within a nice walk of the Tower Bridge. It was a little different than what I expected but still worth the walk. Didn't realize it was so close to the river

Went for the first time, and really enjoyed it. Stood up and still had a good view as the actors move all around the stage. Very enjoyable performance of Othello.

Never ceases to amaze. An absolute must. Go there, just go there..

An amazing venue would definitely recommend anyone to go and visit it

The last few years the quality of the plays performed there has declined and become rather disappointing with awful acting, bizarre productions of the play, clunky blocking and other things. Supposed to be professional standard but yet are disappointing. The theatre could do much better.

This is the place to go (weather depending and seat dependant) to see Shakespeare. I've done standing and seated and it's all pretty good. However this place also takes risks with showing modernised plays like Imogen which is a reworking of Cymbelline. Must-see and do in London.

While the place seems to feature the authentic stage and seatings, it is very uncomfortable to seat on the benches without the back support. The roof is also missing, so the temperature and weather inside matches the outside.

Interesting building to view from the outside, just a shame you have to get a performance ticket to see the inside of it. My teenage daughters (one of whom wants to be an a designer) were intrigued to see inside but couldn't. Left us all a little disappointed.

Two Noble Kinsmen - engaging, wonderfully energetic, and polished, in a wonderful venue.

Loved it! A true replica of the original theater. Not to mention the very well educated guide that provides deep insight on the theater during Elizabethan times. Along with expositions detailing the history, attire, props and the modern use of the theater for reinterpretations of Shakespeare's plays.

Such a beautiful venue that is worth the trip. Lived in London my whole life and regret wasting so many summer's without visiting. Go and watch a show!!!

Well situated and excellent quality, both in terms of its construction and information provided by tour guides. Absolutely loved 'Macbeth' here as a grounding! Outstanding.

Great atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Hard seats so advise bringing or hiring a cushion!

I loved the theater !! But if you do not know fluent English, you will not understand the guide's explanation, because there is no audio guide, too bad.

Shows performed here are a delight to watch.. One of the best things London has to offer

Thrilling to be by the Globe theatre but totally awesome to actually step inside the theatre to see a play. During the bankside Harvest festival October Plenty people get to go inside for free and witness 10 minutes of a play by the Lions part (theatre company).

Beautiful spectacular majestic, at times you are in the beautiful Shakespeare in Love ......

Very good actors. Gigantic and spectacular theater.

Great plays (I saw "The Tempest" and "As you like it"), fun environment. Try to get seats in the central section because the line of sight is not very good from the sides. And do rent a cushion! 3 hrs on a narrow wooden bench are a pain in the a### (literally)

Incredible tour, venue and play. A trip back in time. I would go back again and again and next time see the candle lit theatre.

"The best hypothesis" of the original Shakespeare theater, the Globe. The guides (very good and engaging ours) in many languages but not in Italian.

The guided tour was awesome, and the choreographed sword fight display was interesting to watch and listen to as well.

Proper English culture experience - a MUST TRY. Tickets run out months before. Book early and pay attention to seats with block views

What can I say about the place? It is what it is, one focal point of the greatest artistic creations of all times. And street signs make it easy to find.

Special atmosphere, perfect guiding. I didn't understand, but my son was reversing ...

Lovely period pub with a touch of class, great stopover before a trip to the adjacent theatre

Was nervous as we had standing tickets, it was a cold but dry night and amazing being in the round watching an abridged Shakespeare with modern twists. Wrap up warm and remember there is no roof over standing area.

Take school children here all the time. Shown around by awesome Mike. Did a workshop on Macbeth with him and children.

Brilliant atmosphere and show! We went to watch twelfth night. It was really good fun and really well done. Take a jacket as it can get breezy

Had to settle for a tour, because I visited off-season. The tour guide had lots of good information. I loved everything about it. Theater's quality is superb. Will definitely visit again to see a show.

Guided tour of the history of the old London theater, very pretty, certainly one of the lesser but less interesting attractions in London. Duration approx. 40 minutes.

Every play is a modern rendition of Shakespeare. If you are not a Shakespeare fan, you will still enjoy it. And if you are a fan, you'll have a ball!

I just saw from outside. It was same house like another house. Nothing special. Maybe inside is better.

Go see the plays there!! Absolutely fantastic - we saw Orthello in the pit for 5 pounds and it was one of the best shows I ve see .

In my opinion, it's not worth seeing it. It's fine but we do not understand any English and you do a guided tour in English ... if you have headphones in Spanish the time you go only but then you do not know if you do not know English. I would not go back and I think you do not need to see it ....

Incredible reconstruction of the base theater of Shekspeare's experiences, a museum of the history of British theater that can be visited with a guide or audio guide.

We couldn't enter with London Pass, tried multiple times and we were always sent away with different reasons. You can enter only with groups, if you miss the tour you can check out only the gift shop.

Shakespeare is master, actors were wonderful and at the end of the play the rain come. In London for sure there is a big director!

Most fun, so many laughs, wonderful way to enjoy Shakespeare!
