Casino in dingy and stinks of smoke. Try to avoid, even if the waterpark is enticing for the kids.

Great resort and friendly staff! Can't wait to go back. We had over 20 rooms and all were exactly as planned. Beautiful city and waterpark as well

Great place to play. There reward system in my opinion is better than Shooting Stars.

The renovations make a huge difference. It was so enjoyable. No more stuffy sinuses from second hand smoke. Very cool upgrades in the arcade. No more lost coins and tickets. So easy my 2 year old could set up her own game.

Never win and I don't books advertisement any more.

Nice casino not the biggest but sure not the smallest like that they have 2 min on blackjack

We stayed at the hotel last weekend and our room was newly renovated and very nice, I was pleasantly surprised by the space and high ceilings. Everything with the room was good, nice hallways! Kids had fun at the water park but my only suggestion would be that someone check on the change rooms a little more often; there were used towels piled everywhere and it was gross. Also, there's only one shower, for a pool area that large I was expecting a bay of showers for people to rinse off before/after swimming. Staff are nice but they don't go out of their way to be friendly.

You have better odds playing scratch and win tickets than winning anything at this casino. Lowest payout rate I've ever seen and I've been coming here for years.

Waterpark is looking nice, areas around park were very dirty with standing water in places. Arcade was fun, food was good. Very crabby girl in ticket line. Will visit again as kids loved it!

I don't really like casinos but I like playing black jack and this is a great place to play.

It would have gotten a full 5 stars, but when we went to the restaurant the first time, the service wasnt very good. But the children all had fun swimming. The room was clean. Thanksgiving dinner was great. And we had a good time at the casino.

Love the Fact veterans get 2 free fireplace king suite rooms each month along with 10$ in free food every Tuesday. The kids love the water park. And we can enjoy the gaming

Don't know anything about the hotel or casino but the Waterpark was clean and a good time with the nieces and nephew.

Me and my husband has been coming to Thief River Falls Casino for years and it's like our second home. Ninety eight percent (98%)of the overall employees are pleasant, courteous, helpful and very friendly.
We are very pleased the way they treat us and very grateful to all who treated us like we really matter to them as guests every week. We recommend Thief River Falls Casino and Hotel and Water Park to everyone who would like to have a great weekend or vacation.
Some people might not agree to my review but I want to ask you a question " Are you sure for a fact that we all will not have bad experience anywhere? "

Have stayed once and it was ok. The staff act as if they are annoyed when you ask for an extra pillow, or roll away. Same with other areas like the water park, restraint, etc. Scheduled a wake up call and never got it. It has 2 restraints, both are ok at best if you don't mind waiting between 30-60 minutes for food. Casino could be fun if you have money you don't mind donating. In 5+ years of playing I may have won $800.00 which was over 4 years ago, and put in thousands since. Water park is ok but the life gaurds are lazy, busy texting, or not around. Had to rescue my nephew twice while the life gaurds were chatting or just sitting there. Thankfully I was close by. Reserved a room once and they had a bed bug infestation so cancelled my room and haven't stayed since.

I love the close feel and the machines pay out really well

the rooms were really nice, the location wasnt bad, the services at the front desk were nice it took like 5 minutes to get me all set up and from there forward went to my room

Yeah DONT stay here. Gross, smoky, but has a good waterpark for birthdays, celebrations, etc

The casino is nice. They have a good variety of machines. The two women working at the players club were very rude. We stood in front of them for 5 minutes without acknowledgment. We played without cards!

Safe..secure and fun. Rooms are clean, food 1st rate.

The place is clean, the staff are very helpful and polite. The only sad thing is even though there is a water park for guests there unfortunately is no gym.

Good family water park. But need better maintenance in the changing and shower area. Only has a small hot tub

Lifeguard was on his phone the entire time. Front desk people incredibly slow and unhelpful. Restaurant hours posted incorrectly, were not open during posted time.

We go for the excellent water park. Deluxe suites are great. Staff is hit and miss on customer service, can be rude when checking in like you're bothering them. The cafe food is good while the breakfast buffet seems over priced for what you get. We play the slots a bit and have never walked big winners. lol

A few updates inthe water park not bad experience at all..

I read all the reviews, and they were horrible! I decided to go anyway, I took my 4 children for the night. It was nothing like some of the reviews. It's not a high class luxury hotel, if that's what you want. It was perfect family fun and excitement! The staff was amazing, we even got into our room 3 hours early, the water park was really relaxing we all had a blast :) I think everyone should try it and not be discouraged from the reviews!!

Some locks did not work on doors, and the wifi didn't work most of the time. Little bit run down in some areas but for the most part it was enjoyable.

Okay casino for its size. Free beverages. Food in the restaurant needs improving.

Hotel rooms were very nice. Got an incredible special with our fishing license too.

I definitely enjoyed my stay very clean rooms friendly staff excellent buffet every night of the week it's nice that they change it up so it's not the same thing all the time excellent water park with lazy river three different water slides big arcade downstairs just a lot of fun hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have!

Who doesn't love going to the Casino! We had a great time. Brought my 18 yr old twins to check out the machines plus some family bonding time!

Has lots of fun in the water park. Excitement when we discovered a garter snake in the lazy river! Buffet liked to kill me. Super hot wings. Unmarked. Almost died! Just kidding, but I did say they should put a warning on them! Breakfast buffet had great biscuits!

Waterpark..the only waterpark around worth going to...

Had a blast. Got tons of bonus games and a jackpot.

7 Clans, my best advice is be patient, and expect adventure in regards to the food. You may order the 7 Clans breakfast one day and the next time you order the same thing you get something entirely different. My advice would be accept whatever they provide for food. I have had some pretty good NY Strip' s and some inedible (cold, dry and over done).
The water park is busy and nice. The casino pays out much better than any in Manitoba.

I lost track of time playing here.It can be fun just remember to walk away when your up.

Never stay here again!! The entire place smells like smoke. The services is very bad the employment is very rude!! The internet wii fii is very bad, not conection in the room because the services down all time.

"What kind of hotel hires a construction crew to come in at 6am on a Sunday?" is the question I asked the front desk after walking down to the reception area from the third floor because the phone did not work. No apology was offered. In fact, a scoff from the lady working the desk is what I received before an older gentleman behind the desk offered to resolve the issue by talking with the construction crew. He hurried away towards the sound, but the hammering and pounding did not stop before 10:30am when my family checked out.

Do not stay here. Go to CanadInn in Grand Forks if you are looking for a water park/hotel combo - not only are the rooms cheaper and more spacious, but the water park is cleaner too. At 7 Clans there is bandages, paint chips, and random cardboard debris floating around in the lazy river and deeper pool, but I have never experienced these things at CanadInn.

I understand if you get a "free" room to use the casino, but I urge you to think about how much you are still paying this company for their "services". If you have kids and prefer them to enjoy their experiences and sleep in a little while on "vacation" do not stay here.

Great hotel, nice water park. Service is not the greatest. All staff is on island time. When I phoned front desk to ask for a baby crib I was told it would take them 20 min to check because there is not enough staff at front desk. 5 min later I walked down there and staff was watching movies.

They mix dollar machines in with penny machines . This dumb old lady lost an $80 dollar slip twice accidentally ...ME

Checked in and that's when the problems began. They had reservations for one room but not two..and of course they were sold out. After speaking with management we asked that they play the recording from when we made the actual reservations. That's when they realized that we did make reservations for two rooms! Then the magic happened ...they had a room available. It's a miracle.

If you make a reservation Make sure you get everything in writing.

Disappointed in dinning options which mostly require a lenghtly wait in line. Be prepared for lots of smokers
Tried a non buffet option but that took 1hr to get a hamburger.

Great place, they got a great buffet and there newly remodelled rooms are complete with a fireplace and balcony. They also have an arcade and a large pool with a lazy river complete with waterslides. It is a dry casino, but its still a good time.

To smoky for me. The motel room smelled like smoke.
