The water park is nice and not crowded. The casino was not crowded either, but the smoke was not tolerable, I left within a few minutes.

They r consistent if nothing else...poor pay out & smoke gets really old!!!

Great place to pass time still cannot smoke inside the building but can smoke outside can never win a large jackpot even when bedding 350 to $5 a hit security guards very kind though

Parking lot was over 1/2 full; expected to be like herding cats. Was actually quite enjoyable, no lines or crowding. Would recommend.

Terrible!! Restaurant buffet looked horrible. Maybe 10 cars in parking lot..will not be back !!! This place blows ..thumbs down

I enjoy seven clans...Machines are good payouts are fair and its a nice environment with nice rooms and the kids love the waterpark

One of the worst overnight stays I've ever had. The rooms have been modernized and my kids enjoyed the water park. The rest is terrible. The charged us the wrong price. You hear every noise from every room around you. AC didn't work. Resurant didn't open for 30 minutes after it was supposed to 8:30, supposed to be 8 and said 7am on the website). Worst of all, everything smells like cigarette smoke. The lobby, the halls, the rooms, the sheets all smell from the terrible ventalation from the casino. Employees didn't care and wouldn't let us contact a manager about or issues. Also, they let drunks and kids run freely through the hallways all hours of the night. There is nothing you can do about it except leave.

Some of the staff acted very unprofessional. Keep your daughters close because the night staff seems more interested in them than watching the pools.

People are friendly, the food was good and nice clean rooms

The place is definitely getting worse. Luckily, my wife and I got our free play but when making plans for buffet, guess what! No staff to open up and run it. Pay your employee's more and treat them better and maybe you'll keep them. Very poorly managed place lately. Drink fountains were out of carbonation and no one seemed to care. Very dissatisfied.

Not very impressed at all, as far as game play and their refreshments go, they didn't have any flavored creamers for their coffee and their coffee not only tasted like water but also looked almost as clear as water barely even a tint of brown, I spent a reasonable amount on various machines both new and old familiar and some I've never played or seen before and didn't matter how many lines I played or what I bed per line, couldn't trigger a bonus or a scatter to even give me credits to play on, very disappointing, I was very much looking forward to my first time playing at Seven Clans Casion in Thief River Falls but now I don't know if I even want to go and try their sister casinos Seven Clans Casino Warroad, or Seven Clans Casino Red Lake, but aside from the poor experience in the casino, the cleanliness of the overall casino and hotel was good and the rooms were pretty decent size, who knows, if I'm ever back up that way again for some reason I might try one more time but I won't go outta my way to play there

Ive had some luck at the casino not too much of a steal on their part. Bht you gotta be careful on what machines you play.

Did not stay motel. We There for Nifty 50. Get points use coupon for meal. Went to eat no buffet. Order off menu get plastic forks and knife in restaurant they said they ran out. Offered mashed potatoes wife gets. They tell when plate comes no gravy. To top it off ask for butter get two small packets. Then to top it off the mash potatoes had a hair in it making my wife feel sick. Service there was none. Not friendly. I called players club they tell me to talk to MOD next time we stop. Would like the MOD call me. Or a Customer service person who cares about how people are served

Took an hour to get checked in with only one person ahead of me. You will need to check in at the 'Players Club' before you can check in with the hotel, which isn't marked outside or in the main lobby. Short staffed with loss of services often, including front desk calling or even water slides- both of which were lost during the first 24hrs of the stay. The chlorine from the pool caused my kids to get rashes and the dry chlorine gas resulted in a trip to the hospital for me. While I was at the hospital, my wife suffered a concussion after hitting her head on the side of the slide. Lastly: Bring your ice skates in the winter! The parking lot is glare ice without sand or salt. If the swimming is no longer fun, you can literally skate out your front door. When life hands you lemons....

From the outside this place looks pretty nice. But once you get in it is not too appealing. The second hand smoke in the hallways and lobby is bad but the smoke in the casino is unbearable. If you are a smoker it is probably not a big deal but to non-smokers it is not a pleasant place.
My room was ok but I did find a large wet spot on the bed when I first got in the room. Some people that I came with also had some odd substance on their sheets. Even though the rooms were apparently non-smoking the second hand smoke was wafting through. Not a pleasant experience.
The service was bad. As stated in other reviews the attitude of the staff, for the most part, is disinterest. They were pleasant enough but just aren't all about serving the customers like you may see in the hotels in Vegas. I am pretty sure I won't be back.

As the one person stated they acted like they we forced no one answer the phone and all closed door smell

The water park is fun, but rest of the plane is definitely not for me, way too smokey.

It wasn't as nice as I expected,Not bad, could use some signage,some bling on outside where casino door entrance is. A lot of older machines,can't complain the Buffalo pulled thru at the end. My friends not so lucky. They left with their tail between their legs. Haha

Used to work here have fun it was my first job and the waterpark is pretty dope pretty nice hotel and a decent gaming floor excellent staff wonderful tribal experience hope you like it as much as I did

Great place to take the kids. Rooms are really nice & the bed are comfortable.

Smelled like cigar smoke, buffet opens at 8:00 am, but didn't open until around 8:30.

Low payouts in the casino. The waterpark is great though. If your nearby take the kids they will enjoy it.

Drove here for buffet, No buffet limited menu was told after helped 15 minutes after sitting down. Was told almost out of everything and only 630 pm. Fix air system feel like ash tray when we exit after only 30 minutes. Very poor customer service will not return here.

We spent the night, since there were no standard rooms we got the king bedroom with fire place. Bed was dream to sleep on. Room came with complimentary wrist bands to the waterpark. We used them and had a blast. Even with the efforts to shield the smoke from the casino the whole hotel still smelled of it and I am a smoker and could smell it which says something. It didnt bother me but I imagine a non smoker or someone with asthma would be bothered. Stay was fantastic will come again.

FOOD SUCKS...PRESENTATION IS TERRIBLE . NOBODY KNOWS ANY THING...THEY SAY THEY ARE ALWAYS BUSY.....LOTS OF VACANT MACHINES..THEY REALLY SHOULD HIRE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS...THEY SHOULD TAKE A TRIP TO SHOOTING STAR TO SEE HOW IT IS DONE

The kids had a great time at the water park..we didnt go to any other part of the Casino.

Other than the gentleman at the rewards desk, Thief River Seven Clans Casino left me unimpressed by the service received there.

I go up every year North and go to the casinos. This time I ate at their Buffet twice and it was really good. The price is reasonable 10 $11 for all you want to eat. You have to check it out

The Waterpark is a lot of fun. The casino is 95% slot machines.

It's not a fun place when you can't win and the staff is short hand

Rooms were updated nicely, but the staff need attitude makeovers. The attendent giving out the wrist bands for the water park, didn t seem to want to be there. When having questions about the tickets that came with our room states not my problem . She didn t have the balls to say it to me, another guests was letting us know we had to go to the front desk, while thanking them, my husband heard her whisper this. The staff at the casino were so nice and helpful when my machine went nuts, would go back and gamble again. But definitely not worth the 3 hour drive for a discounted room.

Everything s else is good... but whenever I play my game system it cuts out every 10 minutes I mean like I know they just change the Wi-Fi but they should like make it better So It won t cut out every little while while I m watching Netflix Hulu or playing a game 6/12/18 I would rate it a four star but Wi-Fi Is kinda wacky...too this day the WiFi sucks 6/17/18

Great place to stay if you can get over the smoke smell. Love the water park it big.

Nothing but slot machines and smoke filled air. Not worth the drive or time spent to get there. From the looks of the parking lot everyone else feels the same way. Surprised it's still open for business.

Worst slots in MN! Go to SHOOTING STAR CASINO UP THE ROAD. You actually win there.

Be prepared for no WiFi or cell service. The restaurant opens if there is staff. The rooms are HUGE with renovations to be completed soon. Most people go for the waterpark which is perfect for kids of all ages. Don't forget to check the website for room deals. It makes it way more affordable for Canadians.

Good casino as well as service inside the casino but that's all the good stuff. Felt like every employee was freshly trained. Instead of being able to check in around 12 or 1 pm, seen many families have to wait till 3 or 4 pm. Long lineups at the front desk were common because of this.

The only thing I did not enjoy was all the 2nd hand smoke!

This place is alright we had a birthday party in the pool and we tried to get some pizzas but there's nobody at the window working ever so we had to go out of the pool area and into the casino to order pizzas which was very busy

Garbage place to gamble. Nice place to stay overnight though.

Rooms and beds are good. The odds in the casino seem to be typical of other tribe run casinos. Restaurants are lacking. Water park is great fun for kids.

Phone service AND wi-fi are both terrible here, the casino is quiet but the rooms are nice. It is a dry casino (so no alcohol!).

they are rude and always tight,only high bets pay on occasion. Casino need to make money, but this casino next to a swamp is tight for average player. I bet max once got into bonus, 30 free spins, what did I win, zippo, not even a dine

.p they are tight, their main customer base is Grand Forks,ND YET they brag on tv commercials on their room at the casino. GF has luxurey motels, why would anyone stay at their casino with a easy comute to 7 clans?? People go their to play slots, not sleep. And slots tight, food? They avertised seafood, since when is walleye seafood. Also snack bar most of the time closed, WHAT HAPPEN TO THE VENDING MACHINE they had.

The hotel front desk staff are awful! I made reservations but called back shortly after to change them but was told they were booked full that month so i said i would have to cancel, and all he said was ok there cancelled and hung up on me.... The worst customer service at that front desk, everytime we've tried to stay there

A truly amazing place, a great waterpark, beautiful rooms, restaurant, beautiful views, gift store, Native American culture displays, beautiful lobby, friendly and courteous staff, and a casino. Only thing they did not have is a smoke free area in the casino. This is a best kept secret place. Would highly recommend it to anyone and have already.

We stayed on Columbus day. Was told we couldn't check in till 3pm. Came back at 3pm, and was told the rooms still wouldn't be ready. I asked what was ready, even if it wasn't a room we requested. We asked for a 1st floor room with an outside door, because we had service dogs. We got a 1st floor! Just no outside door. When we went and asked for the outside door, the front desk said "well you got a door to go into your room, right? There you go!"....

The buffet was below average. The food was cold, if there was food. We had to ask them to fill up the spots so we could eat. The sign says wait to be seated, but you get in and they tell you to sit any where's. The 4 times we went to eat there during our stay, we had to get our own silverware and drinks!!! Oh but they made sure they came around to put the bill on your table! And there were employees that walked in and changed right next to the silverware station, in front of other restaurant patrons eating!!!

The water park doesn't seem any different from the big upgrade they did on it. The only funny part was sitting in the hot tub, looking over and watching the life guard picking his nose and eating whatever he picked!

They should have used that money to remodel the rooms. You got old carpets, the beds we had were different heights, outlets with no covers. You got wires hanging down from the ceiling, and all down the hallway as well. And don't get me started on that WiFi!!! I think everyone knows how bad that is!

And to top it off, the fire alarm went off and they couldn't shut it off for an hour. We had to sit in our vehicle late Monday night because it was too loud to just think nothing of it and stay in the room... all that security and maintenance and managers on duty didn't know how to handle it?

And yes, the employees need some customer service classes!! If you don't want to be there and deal with guests, then find another job.

I'm not being prejudice. I am 100% native myself and work in hotels/casinos for the last 12 years.... this place just blows my mind. They need much improvement!!!

Terrible restaurant, long lines, not enough help. Ran out of food. Promotes Senior Sunday, but then not prepared to serve them. Disappointed!

We just went for the water park. It was really affordable for four kids and three adults. The pool area was clean and the water was a comfortable temperature. The kids really enjoyed themselves.

Went there for the buffet. We got there right around 530. Everything was fresh and delicious

The cafe was closed all day. The buffet never opens on time a or at times not at all. Issues with player club cards. Place is getting worse

Renovation underway but new rooms are beautiful, staff very friendly, great waterpark. We'll be back!

They have remodeled the rooms and I must say they are much better then before. They only grip on the room was that the fireplace didn't work and smelled of gas. Maintenance came and shut off the gas, but didn't fix it. I know its 1st world problems, but when that's what your paying for it should work.
The room was nicely decorated and the king size bed was comfortable. It also had ample space.
The restaurant we visited was a buffet, the food was mediocre, but when your hungry it fits the bill. Not much on variety and a small salad bar.
The casino I stayed out of, the smoke was so thick it was hard to breathe. The entrance is not closed off with a door which makes all of the common places in the hotel stink of stale smoke. Unfortunately this is a huge turnoff to those who choose not to smoke.
The water park was nice and fairly well maintained, stay away from the doors on the east side in the winter months because they leak expensively and dont close properly causing a large draft.

Water park was great. Buffet was bad. Not many choices, beyond slow service. Food was not replaced as it ran out. We were there for about an hour and there were no new meats ever put out. I don't enjoy paying over nine dollars for salad and tator tots. The desserts tasted old and dry, totally from the freezer. The staff seemed scared to engage with customers. When asked a question, their response was hard to hear. The air freshener in the casino makes it hard to breathe. We had to leave.

Excellent service, food, & waterpark...only issues I had were the room's fireplace did not work, the waterpark was pretty chilly inside, and by the end of the night all my clothes....even my socks stunk of cigarrete smoke.
