The heat pump was not making any noises at the time but Alan D. ran a thorough diagnostic on the heat pump, located the problem and totally solved the issue. The best thing was that he took the time to explain to me what was causing the noise, how he fixed it, and what could be done to better its usage in the future. He was honest and very reassuring of the efficiency of the furnace and heat pump that I have.

Cliff G. arrived bright and early this morning to check our furnace for us.
Our unit is 17 years old and Cliff advised us that he had found some issues with our Heat Exchanger.
He very professionally explained the situation to us as well as going over the options we have available to us.
Never a good thing to hear that you have problems with your furnace but I will say that Cliff took his time talking to my wife and I regarding our options.
We appreciate being treated with respect and Cliff being honest with us.
First off, the staff are friendly and courteous giving them two stars. However, I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Service One and their home warranty. My furnace and AC went out and I replaced both. Before install the salesman texted me to change the install date to a day later. I called their office to confirm and they had no record of any change and showed up on the original date after we changed plans. Next, the new AC unit was not working and a tech came out to tell us the filter was clogged after less than two weeks and that was the issue. The AC still did not work and a different tech found an o-ring that was failing and replaced it. I then contacted the office to have them explain my invoice and asked for an itemized receipt detailing parts and labor, which they said they do not provide, as I was only credited $570 per my home warranty (other incentives were applied but they were explained to me as separate from the home warranty). Over the last three weeks I have gone back and forth trying to get a clear explanation of my bill and why I did not receive more for having a home warranty. Service One had no record of there even being an issue with my AC. It took all the way up to the co-owner of the company to properly explain my invoice. I was explained that a $1000 R-22 replacement incentive was applied instead of any credits from my home warranty for the AC replacement. However others I know received this same incentive through different companies without a home warranty. I don t think Service One was trying to take advantage of me but the entire process has been smoke and mirrors with nobody being able to provide accurate answers related to my invoice and home warranty credits. A simple itemized receipt or clear explanation from the beginning could have saved countless hours of my time and a poor review. Overall I don t think I received the value I was entitled to for having a home warranty with Service One and other unrelated incentives were used to justify it.
This has been the second time Cliff has come to my home. They guy knows his stuff and operates pretty quickly. I understand some people may not think there's a need to have a whole home warranty, but i wouldn't go a day without one on our home. Thanks to ServiceOne we won't have to.
Mike did a great job, was very courteous and pleasant, and represented Service One very well. He shared information with us that gave us confidence that we were doing the right thing by staying enrolled with Service One.

Alan came out at almost midnight on a Saturday because our furnace wasn't working. He was extremely professional and didn't come off like being out that late was an inconvenience. Went out of his way to let us know everything that he did, what we needed to do in the future, and even made a suggestion about getting our water heater serviced, when he didn't have to. Very happy with his service, and our ServiceOne home warranty plan.
The company was very "eager" to sell me a brand new unit. Being my very first purchase I did a little research, but the unit was old wouldn't have many parts later and would eventually cost me far more. So I said sure, figured it would be better than keeping an old unit around. The price was far higher than expected and I even considered saying no, but I could afford it; so said yes. The work done was fast once they arrived, professional, and curtious despite having the world most agrovating dog. I would use them causiously, but if you can get the right deal, worth it.

Pros: Technician was professional and thorough. We've had several come out over the years, and he went further in ensuring the furnace was truly up and running than any we've had previously.
Cons: The 30 minute call warning us of their arrival on an open, "it could be any time today" schedule actually came 12 minutes before they arrived. This isn't a small thing; had I not already left work for the day, I wouldn't have been able to get home in time to meet him.
I had just purchased my home and I called service one and got that started so that if I had problems with my appliances or something so anyway as it turned out my dryer would not heat it would tumble but it would not produce any heat so I called service line and made an appointment and a technician came out and said that it was my timer and he needed to order a part and so he did and when the part came in we set up an appointment to have the part installed so that was yesterday on Tuesday the technician came out had the timer put it in and at that point he said okay you've got heat and he left and so I washed my Chanel bedspread and then after it was done I went and I put it in the dryer and I turned the dryer on time to heat on cotton and I just let it run I forgot about it and it had stopped so I checked on it again and it was not hot. So first thing this morning I called again and they made me an appointment for anytime today. My tech called and said he would be here soon. When he got here we discussed prior visits with the technicians and so he opened up the back of my dryer he tested several different things he said it looks like the thermostat and the heating coil needed to be replaced so he replaced them and he started it and it still was not warm he noticed that the plug that goes into the wall that that was kind of loose and that my cord would lean and kind of unplug it a little bit and that it was the issue it was getting enough energy to start and to run but it would not engage the heating element and such so we got it so that it would not come unplugged like again and it produce heat walking also advised me to call service one to see if I have electrical coverage and have them come out and look at that and see you know it what if there's something that needs to be done and he also advised that if I choose to just call and make sure that everything is okay however walking did a fabulous job his customer service ability and talking to me and explaining things about my dryer was Far Beyond customer service he's a very good person to have on your staff you guys are lucky he works for you he did a fantastic job he gets 10 Stars he was wonderful and I hope I can have him come back to service things that are wrong in my home thank you and I am Frankie Byler
In the 3 + years of paying into this company, I have never received a courtesy inspection to this day. Now I'm in my 6th day of awaiting a part for my furnace. The only communication I've had is when I make the phone call to inquire about the part, which I was told was going to be here in a day or two. Not a very good impression at all.
The tech was on time as promised. He was very professional. He replaced my garbage disposal. He explained everything to me very thoroughly. He did an excellent job. ServiceOne always provides outstanding service and performance.

As usual, Israel, from Service One, did a superb job on the yearly furnace inspection and cleaning. We have been with Service One for many years and always get top notch technicians and help from this company.
I would recommend Service One to all my family and friends. The workers who come to my house are always very courteous and professional. The work is always done right the first time. And they do not leave a mess for me to clean up.
Unfortunately we never actually got someone out. We have our home warranty with Service one on our new house. Days after moving in we found water in our basement due to the main lines being clogged. We called on Tuesday morning at 7am to be told they won t make it out until Thursday afternoon. By Wednesday afternoon we had more water in the basement so we called back pleading for someone to come out. The lady said well, for $100 we can have our on call guy out in the evening but couldn t give us a time. By the evening we decided to just wait until Thursday and save ourselves the $100 since it had been hours and we still haven t heard from anyone. So I call back and they agree to come Thursday. Thursday morning I get a call from them cancelling because of the 3-4 inches of snow we got. At that point I was pretty upset but tried to be understanding, it did snow. However, our internet guy made it out with no issues that day, Nebraska Furniture Warehouse came to our house that day. The snow was completely melted by 10am yet they said it was too dangerous to come to our house. Anyway, we called Another plumbing company and what do ya know, they came same day and fixed the issue for us. Would rather pay extra for people who care then use this unreliable company.
Stay away from Service One. Even if you are a customer for years, the first time you contact them with an issue I was told I wasn't a priority and therefore they wouldn't even come out for days. What a waste of money and a horrible company to deal with!
Mike was pleasant and very helpful. Our plumbing problems were fixed quickly, he explained the issues and how to prevent them from occurring again in the future, and left our house clean. Definitely recommend him and Service One for any plumbing issues you have.
Had to call many times in one week for multiple issues--seems like everything went at once. They were always courteous and helpful, and made every effort to accommodate my needs. Very courteous and professional staff. They take the time to explain. What I like the best about them is unlike other companies, they are not trying to sell you a new unit every time they visit your house regardless of how minor a fix needs to be.
