Beautiful department store, an iconic London landm...

Beautiful department store, an iconic London landmark. However the service could be better. I had different experiences, very professional friendly service in men's Hugo Boss concession department and very poor service in swimwear, especially very unprofessional service from Alana. Make sure when you buy clothes that a white Selfridge tags are not removed by sales assistant, as in this case you won't be able to get a replacement and prove that you bought it there even with a receipt.

I ordered the Sandro shoes in size IT42, which is my normal size.
But the shoes were a bit too big for me. After Trying the shoes on, I put them back into the shoe box and never touched it, not to mention that I have never worn the shoes outside house except for fitting.
Right after I had pushed the Refund button on ur website, I searched for the smaller size cuz I really loved the shoes.

So I ordered IT 41 size of the same shoes from Sandro-paris UK online site.
I returned the shoes in the belief that No issues like this would happen. Which is also why i purchased the subscription membership. Cause I believed that Selfridges, a huge store, would never disappoint customers like this.

But when I returned the shoes, the staff from Selfridges said that the shoes were in a bad condition and cant be refunded.
So I called the customer service, and the guy said I can only talk to the guy that sent me the email regarding this issue. He said I cant even get a direct call to him.

So now I have the same design but two different size of pairs of shoes.
I dont understand why I have to fight for fair refund when I am innocent and sure I have never damanged the item. If the item is unresellable, then did Selfridges send me the unsellable item? Cuz it was the same condition that they sent me.

4 calls to customer service to resolve poor shopping experience and I have given up!
Very badly creased tie which was a result of the sales person folding it several times despite me advising him not to. The creases mean it looks unironed despite me ironing it on silk mode. This tie is very expensive and I regret buying it. Selfridges customer service have promised 3 call backs to resolve the issue and I'm still waiting for over 2 months
Furthermore, I tried to order home products on line and experienced problems with password verification and despite 3 password attempts with new links , I called customer service who put the fault with the Apple software I am using . How pathetic is this ? Would it not have been better to take my order over the phone and resolve the issue . I've wasted over an hour and half on this latter problem

This is a great store but we bought a number of items where the sales assistant didnt remove the security tags. Got home and could not wear the items. Had to go back in today to get them removed. 80 miles round trip plus parking!

This place doesn't need words it's iconic and people usually visit for all the variety and high end products. Mostly you also get to see limited edition pieces so worth a visit whenever one is in London.

My wife wanted to try on some Ugg boots yesterday, 20 minutes passed however her shoes never arrived, a bloke serving her wasn't interested in serving us or anybody else, he simply kept following and flirting with another shop assistant - a girl in white trousers. Shocking customer service.

An incredible store with absolutely everything you could wish for. If you have the energy you could spend the whole day there. Lots of eating bars and restaurants. It's a must for foreigners visiting London

Brass rail serves some of the best salt beef sandwiches in the UK. Freshly cut on order. Excellent coffee. Extremely fast service. Not friendly members of staff. This is a technicality but I had to ask for brown sugar on two different occasions. The third one, there was none on my table and none was brought to me with my coffee. However they brought some when I asked for it.
The staff was clueless of the location of the brass rail when asked about it. That is despite the fact that it has been serving salt beef sandwiches for 80 years from the same part of the store.

Lovely lunch today. Ordered the crab cake sandwich and was pleased by the quality of the crab cake, as well as the nicely toasted roll, thick slices of ripe avocado, and crisp hot bacon which accompanied it. The side of fresh fruit was also generous and perfectly ripe. A very good experience! Add this to the best dining view on the island on a gorgeous Fall day, and it adds up to perfection!

Always an uplifting shopping experience. No shortage of "brand names" to choose. Layout such a quaint English oldies experience - I suppose perhaps because of that lovely old building. A must do experience to do particularly for visitors to London, even if for window shopping.

I had a store approval with Selfridges on 12th Wednesday this month.
It ought to be at 11:00 am, however, after being waited for extra 40 minutes, finally a confused lady appeared and ended all in rush. They even didn't check my ID either. They seemed to have no idea who was going to interview me. In order to arrive to Selfridges Staff Entrance in time, I called and asked them how to get there, Unbelievably, the staff didn't know and told me to search on Google. What a useful suggestion!
I don't mind spending time on them but I do mind their careless style and negligent attitude which does not match their marked luxury brand at all.
