What we loved:
Amazing, attentive staff. We couldn't walk through the halls or set an empty glass down without it being cleared promptly. Everyone was very friendly and sincerely interested in our comfort.
We had a junior swim-up suite. This gave us easy access to a pool that wasn't used by many other guests.
There is not a "party" atmosphere, which was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The resort is generally quiet, though there are some louder activities conducted at the main pool throughout the day. The guests generally seemed to be couples looking to relax quietly.
24/7 coffee shop, large breakfast and lunch buffet, 24/7 (included) room service and multiple
restaurant choices for dinner meant that we were always well fed!
What you should know:
There is not much shoreline to enjoy on the beach. There are chairs on the beach, but walking and swimming in the ocean is limited.
Dressing up for dinner is required unless you order room service. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dinners but didn't always feel like dressing up at the end of the day.
All pools close at 8 pm. There are different activities available every night, but know that water access will be done at 8 pm.
The drinks, while tasty, contain little to no alcohol.
Shaded chairs get reserved in the early morning by people who don't use them most of the day. There is a printed policy that prohibits this, but staff do not enforce it. We were glad to have a ground level room with lounge chairs available to us when poolside chairs were constantly taken.
On-site photo sessions, spa appointments, and a timeshare club are heavily promoted by the staff. They respected "no" for an answer, but we had to tell many, many people "no"!
Overall, this resort is beautiful and makes a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. It is not perfect, but I would recommend it highly!
