BUYER BEWARE/DISHONEST DEALER-If you're driving more than 30 minutes-They will lure you in with "low internet prices" on their website/AutoTrader only to magically raise them when you get there. They say it is only if you finance through them that you can get their advertised internet price. This happened to me and it happened to my parents since we are both in the market for vehicles. We had both planned on paying cash for the vehicle. You can read reviews from other people who have had the same issues.
Thought we had a busted motor mount on a 45,000 mi 2013 corolla and was pleased to find out it was covered under our lifetime warranty- then even more pleased it was missing clips from undercarriage that was making the sounds- no charge! Both our sales Rep Mike Miller and tech mgr Sean Butler were professional courteous and thoughtful. We got the oil changed, problem fixed and got it checked out and back in my daughter's hands in 24 hours! Hoohah!
Well done and attaboys! Thanks guys!
Went to Scott Clark today to drop off my car as there was a problem with the battery. They replaced a terminal on 11/12/18 & today it would not start. I knew the service dept was closed but sales dept was open. I spoke with the sales manager Jim Dalo who could not be less helpful if he tried. I asked for a loner car & was told they do not have any cars. He suggested I drive to the airport in a car I barely got started & rent a car there & then work it out with the service dept on Monday. I m at a dealership that has cars as far as the eye can see but you can t give me one for 1 day? He handed me an envelope & told me to drop my key in the box & call service on Monday.& speak with the manager. Jim s only objective was to get me out of the dealership. His customer service skills need to be fine tuned. He could have helped get me a car. He could have offered to take my info & speak with the service manager himself on Monday. Instead he wrote the service managers name on in envelope & pointed at a box. When I questioned him he said I was rude & said he was doing the best he could which is sad. I m hoping tomorrow goes better as I have not had a bad experience with the service department.
**update**
I just received a phone call from Mr. Dalo. He apologized several times & assured me he as contacted both service managers via text & explained my situation to them.
Get support through the process of getting my automobile in for service, and picking it back up.
Everyone was very professional and courteous.
Billy Carroll was awesome and kept us updated while our Tacoma was at Scott Clark s for service.
Our sales/finance contacts did a great job. David, Justin, Jim, and Jose went the extra mile. 4 years ago we bought a vehicle from Scott Clark and I felt like it was a no nonsense transaction. This time was completely different. Unfortunately, upper management has practices in place that no longer separate them from the average car dealer. We did get an excellent deal and because I only buy a car every 4 or 5 years I won't have to deal with this again for quite some time. Why can't dealerships treat you like an intelligent human being instead of trying all the old tricks to insult your intelligence?
Very friendly staff! The service is top notch and there is no price gouging like other dealer service centers. It's fair pricing and the service can't be beat.
Good communication during purchase process. good customer service Dennis was very helpful with our used Subaru purchase. Would recommend him again. Direct finance process, with options available. Michael S. was great...would recommend him again.
Great service department! Amenities like a cafe and free coffee make the great service at SCOTT CLARK Toyota a top notch experience!
Crystal, my assistant service manager, was friendly and courteous. Everything was taken care of, as promised.
Buyer beware. Do not buy the maintenance plan without researching. Scott Clark uses a 3rd party that is only open during the weekdays which makes it extremely difficult to get your car covered on a weekend. I bought my Toyota Tundra new in 2014 and have dealt with this since I purchased the truck. I take it in to a Toyota up in Huntersville and they describe how Scott Clark does this and they are the only one to offer these poor maintenance plans. I never write comments or give feedback but I am frustrated with how I prepaid for maintenance and typically don't use it because the company is not open to give the authorization. I hope this post will help the next customer buying a car that may be looking in to the maintenance plans.
Excellent service by Tyler and comfortable atmosphere.
I got fast and courteous service. It is definitely a Five Star Service Department.
After going through a car accident and totaling my car the guys at Scott Clark Toyota made my new car purchase a breeze. They took the time to show me a list of vehicles that will fit my budget. I left the dealer wirh a cheaper car payment and a 5 year newer. Mike Miller is your go to guy! He will be mine and my families! Thank You Scott Clark!!
Well, I got my wife's Prius in for its 100K mile service. I have done some service on this car myself, but usually take it in for service. It is a hybrid. Anyway, I got to the dealership about 25 minutes early. They open at 7:00. When I pulled up, they opened their doors and checked me in. They did not wait for until 7:00 o'clock to open their doors. I was told the service would take around 1 hour and 10 minutes. The service rep came out to me in about 1 hour and 10 minutes and briefed me on the service. I was told it would cost $219.45. The cost for service was $219.45. The service rep took me to where my car was; it looked like my car had been washed or rinsed off. In all my dealings with auto service departments, in my opinion, this service department is "Outstanding"; "Best Seen To Date". Well worth the money and the ride. You folks are "Best in Class", bar none. Hands down.
good location to buy a car, staff are pretty friendly.
Rude and obnoxious behavior on the part of service adviser. Second visit for a warranty issue relative to a clutch problem with a 2013 Truck with 10,000 miles. Male service adviser advised clutch more then likely is not defective but damaged because I rode it.
Subsequent investigation by another Toyota dealership confirmed the clutch was slipping due to improper adjustment and a defect. The last adjustment was done by Scott Clark Toyota. These clowns will try to wiggle out of warranty as it simple dose not pay them as much as regular mechanical work. Recommend you not buy a car from this agency. They simple are looking to cut a bigger profit by denying obligations under warranty. If the vehicle is out of warranty, find a good mechanic, it is cheaper.
Long story short, I was given a repair quote for a side mirror replacement. Hours later they called back and jacked the labor costs up by $35 citing removal of glass shards, etc, which by the way wasn't involved. Had another dealership do it for less, same day. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I CAUGHT THEM TRYING TO CHEAT ME! I'LL NEVER SET FOOT IN SCOTT CLARK TOYOTA AGAIN!
Fast for a synthetic oil change. Would highly recommend having an appointment.
I have experienced nothing but Excellence in customer service
I worked with 2 guys named James. I needed a car because my old car had gotten totalled due to an accident. The guys treated me as I was a last minute sale. I had ask for Bluetooth in my car so my parents would be able to call me and he simply goes "you can use the aux cord", that's not what I wanted. I wanted the price to be lower because this was just a basic model car. I informed him that my sister had the same car, but older year(2008) and had better amenities than this car had, it was a 2011 Camry. This car didn't even have floor mats, and i was joking when i said "no power locks, what's next? No floor mats". They wouldn't even give me 2 keys like they said they would, which i had written down in paper. I've had to return back there multiple times due to them not giving me the proper equipment for a tire change, which every car should have. When I paid for my Bluetooth and power locks, i asked for steering wheel controls with Bluetooth. When i took my car in, i didn't get that. I got a third-party bluetooth system and this tied around my wheel. With the power locks, it was a third-party system as well. I had to see this guy named Brian about it the controls that were given to me because when it had controls for the trunk to open, it would not open. When i went up to Brian, he explained very rudely and sarcastically that it doesn't work cause i would have to have a motor in my trunk. He never told me this when i was given the controls for my power locks that have a button for the trunk. So when i took it in that day, he told another person when handing them the controls to their power locks about the trunk not working. This sent me through the roof. They treated me like i was an idiot about cars when my boyfriend works in this industry. I hate Scott Clark Toyota more than anything and my service i get is absolutely terrible. The only good experience about buying my car was Fadi, who took care of the financial part of my car. He was fantastic. But James 1, James 2, and Brian treated me horrible.
Thank you Scott Clark Toyota you made my dream car come true. Ace I could not have done it without you. You had a lot of patience with me and hung right in there. I will definitely recommend this dealership if you are looking for a vehicle.
I came in looking for change. Was ready to step into the next generation of car technology....bluetooth, navi, lithium-ion batteries, etc. Larry Carillo was an excellent salesman that worked hard to get me a great deal on a 2012 Toyota Carmry Hybrid. I would be back in a heartbeat for my next car. I'll definitely be in for regular maintenance and service soon.
Very friendly and helpful. My family and I worked with Orlando and Cody. They made the car buying process pleasant for us. Definitely recommend it here!
Today was my first time going to the dealership to get my car service got there and was told by Crystal Kush i can get a free manicure, free coffee or hot chocolate. When they finish my SUV they wash it. It's was EXCELLENT SERVICE Scott Clark Toyota did for me!!! Thanks So Much
Justin is an awesome Service Manager. Very honest, knowledgeable, and able to explain what is needed clearly. No pressure, no unnecessary repairs. Justin is the man you need to see if your car needs anything.
To start, I pulled into the bay for a service and was told that I declined a service the last time I came in for an appointment I was never asked if i wanted that particular service that was needed. An assistant manager, Brandon, was very helpful while my car was being serviced. After getting my car back, I always do an inspection. I noticed that the valve cap for my rear tire was missing. I pulled my car into the bay and spoke with Brandon regarding the missing valve cap. As Brandon left to retrieve the cap, which seemed like a small issue, another associate approached my car. He inquired if I had been helped, but before I could answer any of his questions, he proceeded to say, "Everyone's ready to go home and they close in 5 minutes." I felt like this was very unprofessional. Even if I pulled into the bay at 3:59 pm, I still should have been met with courtesy and professionalism. Aside from this issue, this dealership is normally professional and helpful.
Kristopher got me in and out for my service in less than 1 hour.
Great people and great service at Scott Clark Toyota. Recommend them 100%.
On Dec. 1, 2014 my husband and I bought a used 2033 Ford Focus from Scott Clark. Ever since we got it, we have had nothing but problems. It has been in the shop four times for the same issue and no one seems to be able to fix it. We went back to Scott Clarks' today 9/26/2015 to see about trading it in, hoping they would do the right thing since they obviously sold us a lemon ( and they knew it if they really do run all these tests on their used cars before putting them out on the lot to sale). Wrong on our part. They were going to trade but our payment was going to double and when we told them that was unacceptable they pretty much just handed our keys back and told us goodbye. I have bought from them before and have never had a problem. This has been one of the worst experiences of car buying I have ever had and I will NEVER buy from them again. And I would suggest that if you are looking to buy from them, you just go somewhere else.
Great experience at Scott Clark. Paul Moore was fantastic in giving a great deal within my parameters. Besides him a good team effort by everyone.
Routine service maintenance on my Pruis
Being a very busy person, I truly appreciate how quickly my appointment was set up to accommodate my schedule. Everything needed was taken care of and Jeremy handled it all with ease. Thanks again for the great service, Citywide Moving Systems, Inc.
It was a great Experience working with Mohammed he was helpful throughout the time, best guy to work with.
Scott Clark runs a pretty tight shop. They really care about customer service and do a LOT right. They do sometimes recommend service/maintenance that is not really needed. Also they push to get us to sell our perfectly good used, paid for Toyota to them so they can sell us a new one.....all on their terms. Why would I come out of pocket $20k-$40k for an auto that is only marginally better than what I have?
Today was a busy day. The service took longer than expected but I am satisfied with their service. They took the time to explain what we needed to change like filters and alignment, we did it and now have nothing to worry, see you in 5k miles.
The service was great and so was the customer service rep, Crystal.
The person taking care of me was exceptional and extremely perfect
The trade in value of my tacoma started below value and magically rose 12 thousand dollars between 4 different sales managers.were the first three uninformed or trying to take advantage of a dissabled vet? .i could have lost my rear end if i had taken the first offer. .i will go somewhere else for my next Toyota. ....
Took my 4Runner in for the airbag recall. I was provided with transportation while the work was being done. The process seemed efficient and the car was returned to me washed. Thanks also to service manager Maxwell for quickly handling a very minor situation involving my keys. Thanks service manager Pete for overseeing the whole process.
Great experience! Everything from the physical building through all of our contacts with employees was top notch. We look forward to our next visit and would recommend Scott Clark to family and friends,
My scheduled service went smoothly and without a hitch. Scott Clark does a good job of making one feel comfortable and welcome and this is much appreciated.
Really nice dealership. I seen a truck online and drove 3 hrs to see it. I got to the lot and found the truck . Checked it out for about 10 mins and decided it was a little too beat up for the 35k asking price and left. No one ever attempted to help me or ask if I needed help.
Working with Archie Newton makes it possible to have a pleasant experience at Scott Clark Toyota. He is the only service manager that I will deal with there...if he's off, I will reschedule for another day. Customer service is his top priority... He told me up front that it was going to take several hours to complete all service/repairs and he offered me a loaner car... FREE of CHARGE... In my 10 years dealing with Scott Clark, no one has EVER done that. He truly is A #1 in my book!!!!
Great service from Justin bustle and Pete Acree. Very knowledgeable about the intervals i need to great recommended services completed at.
In March of this year, I went to Scott Clark's Toyota In Matthews, N. C. I dealt with Julian Bygrave. My car buying experience in every way was so easy, comfortable, professional and I must say, everything just went so smooth and fast. I actually liked just hanging around, those folks are just that great. Needless to say, I bought a new Toyota. Mr. Bygrave followed up this purchase with several telephone calls over a period of time, just checking to make sure I was pleased with my vehicle, and that all was well. Now, how many salesmen take a moment of their time to do this, none that i have ever run into. He is courteous, professional, and basically knows his profession, and is there to not only sell, but to help.
My car was hit Monday at a graduation ceremony. (Just a small bump) I called Mr. Bygrave, and within a matter of minutes I have an appointment to take my car in . What a relief, I was so upset.
I would recommend this man, and this Toyota dealership any time. You simply can't go wrong.
Pennie Edgeworth, Monroe, NC
Sherrod Avery was very helpful at Scott Clark Toyota in making sure that I was satisfied with the purchase of my automobile. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family that is interested in purchasing a car. My experience there was pleasantly enjoyable and I'm looking forward to purchasing my next car or SUV from Scott Clark.
John was very helpful, kept me updated and informed for what needed to be done and cost.
Excellent experience.
Nice customer service! I had an oil change, and the dreaded "Check Engine" light....which can be anything! They found one code, gave my truck back, and AAAArrrgggh. Light came back on. They found another code and worked on it no charge! Thanks, Billy Carroll!
Excellent service. Advisor was very thorough in her explanation of what would be done and service was completed ahead of estimated time!
Everyone including salesman and manger were extremely helpful in getting the vehicle I wanted
I purchased our Toyota from Scott Clark and everyone was great. The finance guys were a little pushy but that s to be expected. I just got the truck serviced and the service department was great to deal with.
Service department was great. All work was done in a fast manner and at a great price. Wes our service rep is easy to work with and cares for his costumers
I love my new Highlander!!! And had the best time throughout the all process... even through a small bump on the road everyone was sooo helpful reassuring and pleasant!!! Jose Hernandez is the nicest person and I will go back to him and the whole team for all my car needs! Loved Scott Clark Toyota!!!!
Everything was excellent from check in to check out. My only complaint is waiting for my car to be brought around after my bill was paid. Standing outside while waiting is not desirable. Thank goodness that the weather was good.
Rented a vehicle while my car was being serviced, the only vehicle they had was a Tacoma at $50 per day. After leaving I noticed an odor of cigarette smoke that took about 15 minutes to hit me due to my allergies. The smell got stronger as time went on, called rental deptartmen right away with no answer so I left a message. No call back, when I arrived I told him about the odor and he said he got the message....he told me a manager will contact me Monday to see if I can get a discount. Not pleased with the service hope they fix the smell
For a busy Friday I only waited 2 hours. My service coordinator Whitney was great and gave me all the information I needed. It was a car I purchased at this dealership and I would totally recommend the service department.
Bought a used car here, they sold it knowing it had a ton of recalls on it. I didn't mind that as long as they fixed them. 5+ calls and texts later they still haven't responded and just ignore us. Go anywhere else. If you do still buy from here, don't leave a review until after you've driven the car for at least a month, they will try to get you to leave a review before you're off the lot. Don't do it. Wait awhile after you've had you're vechile then do it.
Bought a new sienna from them, typical pushy car sales experience. The problem comes in when after my first oil change they left the oil cap off. I drive around for about a month with no oil cap on. Found out by accident. They changed the oil and steam cleaned the engine. After my 4th oil change I opened the hood the check and make sure the oil cap was replaced, found a small ratchet sitting in the engine compartment. It s like they were trying to break my car.
Enjoyed my experience ! Melissa was great and very professional. Love my Toyota
Oil change customer: Great automotive service, wonderful customer support, and an efficient overall process.
I recommend stopping to see Paul Moore at Scott Clark's. He literally did everything in his power to get me into the truck I needed. Tacoma's are easily the best small truck on the market. If you need a truck, this is the place to shop.
Worst service ever. They will ask you to replace things even if they are brand new. I went on my past service schedule and I had just replaced both air filters (engine and cabin) the weekend before by myself. They told me that I need to replace them because they were old. Not only that, but just for oil change they took 3 hours. Today I went to Another Toyota dealer and REALLY noticed the difference. Never going back to that place!
I have been to Scott Clark a few times. Luckily, I have always been helped by Mr. D.J. Durst. Whenever I have dealt with him he has been courteous, helpful and shared a honest opinion with me. I wish that all my experiences with auto sales personnel could be as pleasant as the ones that I have had with D.J. Thank you Scott Clark and D.J.
I went it to this dealership looking for a pickup and a SUV to add to my fleet. They refused to show me the sequoia unless I provided them my drivers license. I said I did not want to drive just look at the room on the inside to see if it would fit our needs. The salesperson then said it is a lot more for that vehicle compared to the hylander. I never gave a budget, just wanted to see the inside of the SUV and Pickup so we can make a decision. Maybe me being a person of color they profiled me.
Not sure if this happens to everyone, but while my car was in for repair a salesperson just happens to look up the info on.my car and tells me that they want to buy my car and get me in a car with less miles. I tell her my price point and she comes back 10 minutes later saying that's too low. But that's not the funny n part, right after she leaves, my car is finished in the service department. I really don't like being approached by a sales person when I am not interested in a new car.
I came here to get an oil changed for my Camry. Laila - a sales consultant approached me to discuss my options and if I was considering an upgrade or like to stay with my current car. She showed me around with different models and different colors and presented my with a few options. She worked really hard with her manager to find the right payment options that would fit my budgets and our family needs. Also I would recommend Dustin who really made it easy to me take my car home. I finally walked away with a new car which was what I needed. I would recommend her to any customer who is looking to get into a new car.
This dealership is convenient in location but the overall experience is lacking. I arrived to only one person checking people in and waited almost five minutes to be helped. The agent was polite and easy to work with. Then they charged me $50 for an oil change... Which is absurd. I go to pick up my car and the person holding my keys barely acknowledges my presence and when I tell him what I need, he says "it'll be right here". It was the most lackadaisical response he could've given. I don't like coming here if I don't have to. Go to another dealer where they actually appreciate your business.
Needed service on 2017 4-Runner, Pete in service took care of everything in a flash.
Thanks Pete,
Thanks Scott Clark Toyota
They are always understanding and then willing to take care of my needs.
First time buying a brand new car and was helped out with by Jose Hernandez and Edgar Ferrifino. I was looking for a 4Runner off road and had a great deal already lined up, but it was up in VA. Not only did they match it they beat it! Highly recommended to go in an visit if you're browsing for a new or used car. Give them a chance....both are there to work for you! Will always go and check in with Jose when I am at the dealer.
My van's problem was diagnosed quickly and repaired to my satisfaction over a two day window. Billy Caudle went the extra mile to get me a rental car because I had no one to pick me up and take me home until after the dealership would have closed. I would have had to wait 6 or 7 hours!
Always great service. Crystal always gets us in even at last minute notice
Takes really good care of my almost 14 year old car and respect my opinions when expressed.
Have bought many many USED vehicles, this was my first time buying a NEW vehicle. I must say that I am very happy with the whole experience. Awesome crew, awesome facility, awesome experience. Thank You
Spending an entire afternoon here made me miss Metro Toyota in Northeast Ohio.
Did not have an appointment, he was really helpful and paid great attention to my needs
Service team was efficient. I re-scheduled a couple times, and they were able to accommodate this with no issues. Mary was very easy to work with.
Service advisor "Mike" very knowledgeable and practical. Salesperson "Julian" was pleasant and not pushy.
I just leased a new SUV from Scott Clark Toyota yesterday. The experience was wonderful! Sam was such a great person to work with. Incredibly helpful during this process. As many of you know, when getting a new car, you are at the dealer for several hours. Sam tried to make this process as easy as possible for me, especially knowing that I am 8 months pregnant! He even got me water and snacks during wait times. We looked at different options to make the deal fit what I wanted, and in the end, he made sure that I drove off the lot with the exact vehicle I walked in asking for! I would highly recommend working with Sam! His friendly and knowledgeable approach would make anyone s car buying experience great! So, I guess I just want to say thank you to Sam, and the team of people that I worked with at this dealership! I love my new Highlander!!!
Sterling was awesome. He caught my attention with his personal approach by sending me a personal video and tour. He was excellent ant time effective in getting me all the information I asked for and had everything I needed prior to even arriving to the dealership. He made my experience very painless and I would definitely ask for him in any of my future purchases.
Robert Van Alstyne went above and beyond for my first car purchase. I ordered online the exact car I wanted and Robert located it and had it brought in to Scott Clark just for me. The purchase price was dead on and I was driving home in just a couple of hours. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Thank You Robert!!!!
Possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership! We were excited about purchasing (with cash!) a new Prius, so we went to Scott Clark's Toyota in Charlotte recently and were exposed to the most embellishing, quarrelsome, arrogant, argumentative individuals I have ever met. Even my son, whom was present, said "are they supposed to be that unprofessional?" Their first names were Reggie(sales) and Eric (mgr). We went to Concord and purchased there instead.
Great experience, excellent customer service. Thank you Wesley Rasmussen
Brandon Dominguez is truly exceptional. Very pleased with our service today on our Prius. Thank you, Brandon!
Had to wait three hours for a oil change which is not good service
In for a car inspection with Justin Bustle, our service rep. Visited with our great sales person, Leo Rojas.
Hard to get to now with the 74 Bypass. But the service department is super helpful.
