The space was much brighter and more open. Our food was ok nothing out of the ordinary. Appetizer was calamari with peppers. The sauce was good and the best part of this dish. My husband had french onion soup which he liked while I had the chopped salad. The dressing was a little on the bitter side. The bread was hot and fresh and very good. I had the standard cut prime rib, their smallest. It was 12 ounces and a beautiful piece of steak. This was served with a twice baked potato. He had lamb with potatoes. One of the chops was over cooked.while was perfect. The problem was there was no flavor, very bland
The dessert was carrot cake and was one of the better parts of our dinner.

Food is decent, but I felt awkward eating there with my wife for Easter brunch. It felt like a very high class Hooters. For brunch they had omlettes to order, basic breakfast buffet Staples: potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. The desserts were middling at best. So guys night out, bachelor party, etc. it's a good place, otherwise...

Went there for lunch and ordered a Ribey. I didn't think I should need to ask the price. Well let me tell you, it was tough and they charged me 42.00 for a steak, by the time I had a hot drink. Iced tea, and salad and the tip all in all it was $100.00. ONE PERSON MIND YOU. Wont be recomending this place to anyone

DISAPPOINTED. Went for our 47th anniversary last night and NEVER again for any occasion. Waitress never took our drink order (had to ask a passing server). Food came and sat at the bar while we watched it grow colder for over 15 minutes. Manager went to every table in our area but skipped our table, so we couldn't complain. One of our $34 steaks was too tough to eat so it was wasted. Never again!!!

It had been 20 yrs.since I had eaten here, it was VERY dimly lit, the prices were very high, & the food wasn't as flavorful as it could have been. I ordered oysters on the half shell, no flavor & my husband said they had a film on them, frog legs had no seasoning, steak tartare was leaving alot to be desired & served with toast points & not rye. I ordered an $8 glass of white wine ,chardonnay, which was only 1/3 full. I asked for lemon in my water & didn't get any. Our waitress was very nice & I didn't want to complain as we had made a 2hr. drive there & so we just paid the bill & tipped her well. It's just not what I remember at all.

I was very surprised with this place. I had heard from people this restaurant was a staple of Wichita. But other people said it's dated, old etc. well the latter were wrong. I didn't think this place was dated at all. It actually looked really good inside. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. Willing to answer any question, and very polite. We started with the calamari and the fried lobster strips. They should be called nuggets not lobster strips. You could really tell it was lobster I think the lobster might have been over cooked or else they were frozen. That's the only complaint I have. The calamari was really good. Then I had the French Onion soup. This was really good I enjoyed it. I had the KC strip B&B style with melted blue cheese crumbles. Steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned very well. I would recommend this place to everyone. I would definitely come back for more business meetings.

Over priced for bad service, the only good thing was the food. Compliments to the chef because they did a great job, it's better just to get something to go and eat at home. Looking at some older reviews it looks like I'm not the only one that dealt with the disappointing service.
Like, the waitress brought out an obviously dirty Glass with my water in it. you could feel the food particles on it, that's how bad it was. Also had to get a plate changed out cuz that was also dirty, plus it took her forever to fill up my glass of water both times it was empty.
Never going back.

The service is continually poor. After being seated and all of our party arrived and ordered, it took an hour to get our food. The Caesar dressing for the salad I had was not very good and it did not taste like Caesar salad dressing. The chicken on the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad I had was cold. The Dr. Pepper I ordered tasted like rubber. After telling the waitress the Dr. Pepper didn't taste right, they gave me a Coke which also didn't taste right. In years past this was a great restaurant, but that time has definitely past. Don't waste your money.

Went for an anniversary dinner. Hadn't been here in many years and decided to go back (the whole anniversary, back again thing). I'm glad the marriage is doing better than the restaurant. Dang. We went during an off-peak time (to accommodate our movie time) so the place was not busy at all. The service was super slow, not griping about food prep time, I'm saying waiting fifteen minutes for ice tea is a bit excessive. The food was so-so at best, certainly not worth the price. The waitress was far to busy leaning on her elbow talking to another employee to ever get our refills or anything else without being called to. It was baaddd.

The staff was great, but I was very disappointed with the food. This was a Thanksgiving Day special buffet at nearly $30 a plate and the food was not very good. Most of the food was barely warm, pancakes were like crackers. I will not be returning.

Waitress was awesome, however, the kitchen was having problems. They forgot to eliminate the ham from the Chef salad and forgot to add boiled eggs. The special of the day came with a tomato sauce they forgot to put on top of the bacon wrapped chicken.
The flavor was great! First time my visit wasn't perfect. Normally a 5 star rating.

If you are looking for really fantastic steak...this is the place to go. If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience...go elsewhere.

We arrived on News Years Eve, grateful that we could get in anywhere, looking forward to a nice dinner. In a nutshell: the steaks were great everything else was mediocre. the service was bad, not because they were slammed (they weren't') but the servers have no training what so ever. We watched our hapless waitress go from bar to table to kitchen to table...not waiting on her section but running back and forth on individual tables. She used no tray which can serve as a third hand, instead carrying everything out by hand again one table at a time. After waiting forever we got a poorly poured glass of wine compared to the tables on either side (no portion control?), our salad was bagged lettuce from Dillons, the asparagus was cold, the baked potatoes...well, lets just say bring your own from Wendy's and again the service was bad. the waitress never checked on us. the atmosphere was that of an airport with even worse lighting. The steaks however were superb. I had the 6 oz. filet Oscar (crab cake topping with Bearnaise), my woman had a great KC strip...both however unceremoniously slapped on a plate complete with the juice splattering all over.

We were not impressed. We spent 100 bucks for two for us...so not worth it.....no apps, no desserts, one short pour of wine...$100. We're going back to George's French Bistro.

Impecible service amazing food. Although it took a while for our actual meals to come to the table our waitress was amazing at checking in with the kitchen and giving us a status before we could ask!! Highly recomended totaly worth the wait.

I travel out to Wichita a couple times a year on business and I always make it a point to eat at Scotch and sirloin, today I went there and it took them 15 minutes to seat me and there were more than 20 tables available, after I got seated it took them 15 minutes to 20 minutes to come over and get my drink order and then it took over 45 minutes for my meal. The prime rib was thick but not juicy I rarely have to use au jus sauce but today it was necessary. The next time I'm here I may stop in there again and see if they were just off their game today. However I noticed other tables were frustrated with the time of the meal prep also. I hate to give an establishment a bad rating however I feel compelled to tell the truth, hopefully they can fix it.

We liked the interior look of the building and the staff was incredibly kind but the food was just on the ok side. The tuna was a little off and oily and the calamari was oily. I guess for the cost I was expecting something better. Maybe even homemade dressing for the Ceaser. It was a good steak and cooked well just nothing I couldn't make with a good cut at home. I didn't receive a potato with my meal but wouldnt have eaten it anyway so other then the fact they forgot and the waitress didn't notice it was ok. Our waitress was attentive to us and our drinks and the gentleman maybe owner, maybe manager was very polite and had a smile in his voice. Hopefully the assistant that was mentioned but we never saw doesn't get any of her tip.

Food was okay... it was my first visit, and I had grown up thinking it was this high falutin' place. I was almost intimidated to eat there. Nah, I sat next to a guy in a sleeveless shirt drinking a Bud Light at 11:30. I would go back for dinner to see if the atmosphere was different. And hopefully the dinner menu is better than the lunch.

It is ridiculous to charge for sour cream on a baked potato!
The Scotch has traditionally had the best prime rib in town! I quit going for a time because the food and service had got so bad and the prices had gotten so high. If I am going to pay for a meal like this, I certainly better be able to say it was a great experience. Last September we went for Dad's 80th birthday and everything was great. I was so happy to be able to enjoy good prime rib again. Since the new owners took it over, everything on the menu is higher priced, but occasionally you enjoy going some place special. We went last week and I have to say after paying $38.00 for the prime rib, it seems ridiculous to charge for sour cream on a baked potato. Really? I understand if you order it loaded, many restaurants charge for that, but I can't believe you are charging extra for sour cream. Next thing you know, you will charge for salad dressing on a salad! It is really a principal thing for me...just stupid to charge for this when you are in this type of atmosphere!

ZOWIE SO DANG GOOD!

ZOWIE SO DANG GOOD!

At $400 for six people it was the most I've spent on a meal but holy smokes it was so worth it!

These past few years I have become rather bored with steak and intended to have sea bass or something. However, when the server mentioned their beef was locally sourced from one particular ranch I changed my mind and got the big Kansas City Strip. There was a bit of a mix-up with how done the different steaks were, but nothing off enough to send back.

I may have had a steak this good before but at I can't remember it.

Wonderful wait staff too.

Just a perfect evening and a lovely place to treat good family.

I had a terrible experience in this restaurant. I was on a business trip and people at the office recommended me Scotch and Sirloin. Arrived at the restaurant and was seated by a very attentive hostess. All good up to then. It just happened that I waited, and waited, and waited for about 25 minutes and waved to 3 waiters during that time and I was just ignored. I was not even offered water. Since I saw they did not care for me, I decided to leave and told the hostess at the entrance why I was leaving. She called the manager and he apologized and offered me to go back to be served but I declined. I would not even eat for free there after being ignored that way. I returned to my hotel where they have a nice restaurant and they served me the way I deserve, quick and with a smile on their face. Maybe it is because I am Mexican. I hope that is not the case. Will never go back to this place.

On my way to Cheaters and decided instead to stop here. Never again. Over a hr. wait on food. Lobster was cold and like rubber. Had to send steak back so another 15 min wait. The manager was nice enough to come my lobster and tea. The lobster the waitress felt said this is cold and took btw. He said he hoped next time the meal would be up to my standard's.

I went with a large group. Some of the appetizers were lukewarm when delivered. Multiple people ordered the prime rib and about half received it overcooked compared to how they asked it to be cooked.

Let me start out by saying the bread and salad was really good. Home made Ranch was a home run. I ordered a strip steak medium. Well maybe a 1/3 in the middle was actually medium. Not my best experience, I will be looking for a better steak house next time I m in town..

Food was delicious but served 20 min late. I did not like having to ask for a steak knife which did not come with my filet mignon. And I did not like having to flag down a server for a simple coffee refill.
