Schlotzsky's, Inc. Review

This food is some of my favorite but, I will not return until they open up their indoor dining. I don't enjoy eating a cold sandwich with soggy bread.

This place sucks and the customer service sucks too!!!!

I would give two stars but the wait here is insane. The managers are clueless and the customer service is horrible. Food is okay but compared to brodie location this one sucks.

Posting this today, 6 months later. I will never be returning to this location again. The waiting time is horrible, the drinks taste weird. They almost always get my order wrong. Today I got over 30$ of food and there were crunchy things in my sandwich, I couldn't eat it. I'm completely Done with this location.

The sandwiches are fantastic. The service is terrible. You are legit gambling when you go here: 65% of the time they get our order correct.

Great place & convenient to pick up food on the way home!

This location isn't as trendy as the Brodie ln or S Lamar locations, but it's always tasted just as good.

Bad Customer service. This is my first time here and I had questions about items that were not on the menus outside in the drive through In the server on the other side of the mike box. Have me my options with an ugly attitude. I m sorry you were here but it s not my fault . You can t put your anger out on everybody else

Lunch with client and sister! Best in over 19years. Tip my hat to manager and employees. Great service from the time we walked in the door, Our soup and Sandwiches was off the chain delicious

Love me some schlocky's ordered in the drive through all good love love love

This Schlotzskys gets one star because the sandwich was still good and well...edible. The first thing I noticed were the many many flies in the back circling the bread rack. Next the girl that took my order was half asleep and couldn t stop yawning long enough to mutter a reply. Then we couldn t get ice out of the machine so the cashier came out and removed the top metal lid from the machine and proceeded to try to crush the ice in the machine with that lid. Who knows how dirty that was. All of the tables in the place were dirty too. I love the schlotzskys on south Lamar they could take a note or two from them!

It's still the same sandwich that I've eaten for 30 years. Fillings seem to be less over the years.

Ok, so this is a Schlotzsky's and food here is like any other Schlotzsky's you will find. However, they have a huuuuuuuuge turn-over rate!! Recently, I went there twice, and both times they had an entire crew in training and there was a fire. Holy cow, how in the world?! Be prepared to wait anywhere between 20 minutes and 60 minutes. Also, don't do the drive through. It is always a suuuuuper long line and there is almost no one in the main dinning area.

Honestly the food wasn t bad but the atmosphere was unlike any other Schlotzskys I ve ever been too. First, it s in a strip mall and dreary inside- poor lighting, nasty ceiling tiles, and we walked out smelling like we had been in a bar. Service was ssooooooo slow and they weren t busy. Literally took 20 minutes to get my pizza and salad, packed to go even though I didn t request it to go. Pizza was barely warm. Employees were not engaging at all- zero! Looks like the place has been reduced in size as a shop next door takes up space that used to be part of the schlotzskys- guess other people agree because the place was empty and it was 1:20 - lunch time. Finally, there was a swarm (20-30) flys hanging around the entry matt outside the front door. They scattered as I approached and I wondered how not to allow any inside as I tried to enter... no chance. I had to contend with quite a few during my meal.

Looking for a good sandwich at a decent price? Tired of sub sandwiches? Schlotzsky's has what you want. A great variety and they even have delivery. Soups, salads, even pizza is available.

Rude, dirty, and messes up orders often. Love the chain, but this location gives the brand a bad name.

Do NOT Door Dash from this location. I ordered 2 kids meals which I always get and they provide apple juice well instead I got a 25 cent drink I can buy from the corner store or Mexican market. That s not the only thing I got apple slices for the kids side and I got 3 tiny slices of a apple and it was already browning. I couldn t be more dissatisfied. I will never go to this location. Again. Or order any delivery from there. And this isn t the first time this location f d up.

The employees are glued to their phones when it's not busy so your order still takes forever. When it's busy they can't handle the rush and the lady at the register asks for Carlos the manager every new customer. They used to be fast and consistent but now they get orders wrong and just purely suck.

Took 20 mins to get a salad, woman wrote wrong number for a dine in order and was rude.

If I could give no stars I would HORRIBLE customer service I will not be back. Joanne T was the absolute worst fist she rushed me through my order & wouldn t even let me get a word in, then when my boyfriend ordered & knew what he wanted she rudely told him to wait because she couldn t keep up with his order. The wait wasn t long but they got our order wrong, normally I wouldn t mind I understand people make mistakes but her response to the concern sealed the deal & is the reason for the 1 star review. She was cleaning up the drink area when I told her excuse me they got our order wrong she cut me off mid sentence & turned her back walked to the kitchen told the guys working hey guys then turns & looks at me & tells me very child like okay now you, come here walk around the counter & tell them what the problem is First off it is not the customers job to tell your employees how to do their jobs! When I asked her for my money back she wanted to argue with me & tell me the reason she had me tell the guys was because she was busy at the counter with somebody else. She definitely was not with a customer as I watched her clean up the sauce bottles by the straws before I asked for her help, I told her no you weren t she then insisted on arguing & saying yes she was with someone else I told her just give me my money back because I wasn t going to argue with her. She then proceeded to try to justify herself again & tell me the reason she wanted me to tell the guys is because she doesn t handle the food yet she s the one whom brought us our food. I wasn t asking her personally to re-make my food I was asking her to do her due diligence and make it right clearly I was asking for to much. I will not be back to this family owned establishment. Ohh & right before this incident I watched her argue & not acknowledged another customer ask politely for his money back for waiting too long instead of apologizing & trying to rectify the situation she told him to wait so she could find out where his order was he had to ask her 3-4 times for her to give him his money back then she proceeded to try to argue with him too. Horrible experience will not ever be back, so many better ran Schlotzsky s to choose from in Austin do not choose this one!

Good sandwiches but needs a little better service. Just because you hear your customers speaking Spanish, doesn't mean we will be ordering in Spanish.

Sandwiches are always awesome but they always take long at this location.

I live less than 5 minutes from this location and I drive to the next closest location (over 20 mintues) just to avoid the hassle I get here. I've tried multiple times to give this location a chance and it's just disappointing that I can never get warm soup or my food in less than 20-25 minutes. I really don't understand what's going on at this particular store but maybe corporate Schlotzskys needs to help because you're losing customers daily by having this one run the way it is. They've closed over an hour early on numerous occasions as well so don't trust the hours listed on here or thier storefront. I love Schlotzskys so much, please don't judge the food or service based off this location!

The manager at the store was rude, all I said was that I didn't get a pickle. She told me "upon request you'll get a pickle" I wasn't complaining but how do you know if I did or didn't ask? & As I am leaving she makes sure to let me know again. (Just leave me alone & give me my pickle) I was about 2 seconds about to cuss her out but lucky for her I was in my sprint shirt. That's no way to make customers feel in anyway like I am being lectured by the cafeteria lady. Because I am sure as hell paying you for this food right?? I wish I would've gotten her name but she was staring at me all awkward & by that time she lectured me I was pissed. Again, I just wanted my pickle & not your 2 cents. RUDE!

This place is as slow as Christmas. You ll be waiting a minimum of 10 min in the drive thru. Too bad because the food is good.

The service was very slow. The person who order after me received there food before me and I only order a turkey bacon sandwich

MORTIFIED. There was one customer inside and we were the ONLY customers in the drive thru...we ordered a salad and an original sandwich. After 20 minutes of literally watching employees walk around aimlessly, pour themselves drinks, pulling up their pants...look directly into the window where they could see us waiting..my boyfriend went inside. He asked for a refund and the (what I m assuming is the manager?) told him he needed to fill out paperwork for the refund. (Oh and apparently our food was suddenly ready) Already aggravated that we were possibly about to not get our money nor our food, my boyfriend just wanted to leave. She then says oh so you want me to lose my job? LADY YOU CANT EVEN DO YOUR JOB. I feel horrible for the 4 cars behind us in the drive thru. Good luck.

Always excellent. Would be 5 stars but the wait was too long even though there were hardly any patrons and the bread wasn't warm/toasted enough.

Good place. Sandwiches were good and hot. They had a sign stating they were training new folks and they did a bang up job.

On point.. Fresh food.. Only bad thing was.. Table too close & less of a walk way

The staff is outgoing,there is a very short. Its an in and out type of atmosphere, very customers friendly I would recommend this place to law enforcement, plus the 40% discount for all peace officer, judges, not to mention EMS Workers.

Well been in ohio for alot of years ..no SCHLOTZKY`S anymore here ..all threw my younger yrs. Lived in Austin it was the GO TO food joint..... long story short
did love 1/2 sandwich Salad combo..VERY SUPRISED OF ALL THE NEW THINGS ON THE MENU ..... OK IM HUNGRY FOR THE ORIGINAL W SOURDOUGH BREAD...largest Of course

Didn't want my sandwich toasted because I didn't know if I would like it and the girl told me if I didn't like it like that she would make it for me once more so I was sold at that time

Sick to my stomach. My food was drenched in mayo. I asked for mustered. My soup was cold and the crackers in the package were stale. After I ordered I went to sit down. Nothing but dirty tables and no customers. I spent $30.00 on food in rush hour traffic to end up hungry at home. Sad thing is they won't let me bring my food back with receipt because of their certain amount of hours policy. This conpmany and their policy. Another United airlines type of company.

The people were very nice. But the restaurant looked disheveled and dirty behind the counter.

My boyfriend and I came here to eat. When we walked up to the door we realized we couldn t dine in, so we turned around to go through the drive-thru. Before we got to our car, a Schlotzsky s employee came outside to catch us and tell us about their other ordering options. THAT is customer service ladies and gentlemen. Way to go girl on doing your job right!

I love their menu and their food is top notch. On a cold day their soups are delightfully delicious and hit the spot.

I never want to pay $10 for a sandwich but it's always worth it

I live in the neighborhood, and often stop in for lunch or dinner. Ive had many unspoken issues with this location. Below is a list of regular issues Ive had. Some of this happened today, and some other days.
-refusal to serve soup after 7pm
-dirty resteraunt
-high ticket times (more than 10 mins), even with an empty drive thru, and empty lobby.
-employee hygiene issues
-small portion sizes.
-food that tastes strange/unusual/old
I usually don't complain about things, but I think there is an opportunity for improvement here.
I worked in food service in the past, I aware that things can be hectic at times, and I apologize if this comes off as harsh. I just want one of my favorite places to eat to get better. Thank you for your time.

I don't like to give bad reviews. The sandwich was worth waiting for (always at least 10-15 min)

Bread was a little dry and my sandwich seemed a little short on meat.

Got the French Dip and Chedder broccoli soup. So very very good. NOM NOM NOM.

I love Schlotszky's, however, this location was not my favorite. May need a new manager.

Did not toast the bread, it was soggy. Did not warm up our cinnamon roll....it's cold.... They didn't give straws.....the lady was rude. Never going back. Called to get a refund and was told to bring everything back to the store to get a refund.

The website offers pizzas for $5.99 after 4pm. They rung up full price. Contacted my local store only to be told "re-start, it's the website I don't know".

Building is currently under renovation but there are friendly staff and great food!

Great place to eat if you plan to be there to eat lunch. Only one cashier during lunch. And the line goes out the door.

The store was very clean and the employee Thomas at the register was supper nice. The night manager Valerie was a lot is help choosing a sandwich... Best store ever....

Stopped going here. Food always takes a minimum of 10 minutes (even in the drive through)0they have messed up my order countless times, and when I've received food it's thrown together or cold. Too bad since I usually enjoy eating at schlotzkys.

While this location shows its age internally the food is always consistent. The staff here are nice, and work quickly.

The sour dough bread is to die for, but most know this from what Schlotzsky's is known for. Can't really go wrong with anything here.

The cups are high quality my meal was super tasty and still hot once I got home. Ouu and They got that kind of ice that goes chomp chomp I mean where else is better. Am a say 4 stars just cause no place is perfect.

Staff was rude. Ordered thru the app and was told at the drive thru to go inside. Went inside and was told to wait outside. The wait was longer than expected as well. Will definitely think twice before ordering from here again

The food is decent, workers are friendly, but the service is crazy slow. Prepare to wait a good 10 minutes if you order at the drive-thru, and that's with only one car in line.
Went again on 10/18/17 at around 7pm and waited 30 minutes just to get to the window. I timed it. The people behind me just left after ordering. The owner that replies to these reviews is either delusional to how slow it is or flat out lying. I gave you a second chance, you won't get a 3rd.

Food was delicious! The staff there was great and they nailed my order which was pretty complicated.

We had a big order wich none of the sandwiches where identified, also did not get my chicken sandwich very upset and disappointed.

Owner or manager is rude to employees and customers. I guess she thinks she can say whatever she wants as long as she's smiling. Usually go out of my way to avoid this location, have for yrs. Went back and was reminded why. Not Genuine Schlotzsky's friendly!

Order was wrong. Asked for no onions and tomatoes, extra black olives. They left the olives off too. Live too far to go back and didn't call to complain. It wouldn't have fixed the problem.

This schlotskys sucks. I always got the chicken smoke cheesey large in Austin. Here in Pensacola they don't have these in large(its 2 meals for me, or share with my boyfriend)So the shift manager charged me for 4 mediums, saying it was cheaper than 2 larges($21/ATX, $26 with 2 teas). It ended up being $39 for 4 mediums and they're all in paper packaging. In Austin they put them in boxes, I smashed, toasted, warm and perfect amount of everything. They one in Pensacola served in paper, they were cold stuffed with mayo and lettuce, and the bread wasn't toasted or warm. I called when it home and she said to come in for another sandwich! I don't even want another one of these! And after looking online they do sell chicken smoke cheesey larges, same price as in Austin. But I never got my 'free sandwhich'. I used to love schlotskys, but if this is the service here in Pensacola, I'm not eating them. R.I.P. CHICKEN SMOKE CHEESEY But I ate at one in Tallahassee, LOVED IT! Perfect, toasted, not over charged, please, please make them right in Pensacola!!!!(For the right price)$$$$

The drive through was so slow. Not worth 45min of your life you'll never get back. Someone should tell them the drive thru is supposed to be the fastest option.
