This was my first time taking my family and I hadn't been since I worked there many moons ago. We splurged and reserved a cabana by the lagoon (highly recommend). We had a server who got anything we needed food/drinkwise, a locker, and front row parking spot as well as a place to retreat for some quiet, beautiful views. We also took advantage of the blastpass...well worth spending the money upfront if you can. We barely waited in line for a ride and we got a refund when we returned them at the end of the day. We loved the rides and all employees were very friendly. One of the issues we had though was getting onto the tram-people were completely skipping the line and boarding before everyone in the line and the poor teen working there looked too terrified to say anything. The other thing is, on the rapid rides, it seemed like mass chaos for the lifeguards trying to get people where they needed to go. I feel like there needed to be more organization in the highly congested areas to make things go smoother. We will definitely go back though!

Ok, be forewarned, ARRIVE EARLY. Bring a rolling cooler full of your favourite drinks and snacks. Put your stuff on the first available table you can find, but if your worried, put it in a locker. Have $ for the lockers. Arrive ready to get wet. Don't forget sun block... reapply! And last but not least, AQUA SHOES!

Great visit as always. They have started enforcing the weight requirements with scales which is too bad and lines seemed to take longer but still great. We stayed in the Mulberryhaus this time and there were deer that liked to hang out in the backyard! Will totally be staying in the Mulberryhaus again in the future.

Great place, fun rides. Park is in two locations but the free bus ride between the two is only about 5 mins and the buses are constantly running. Food was pretty good, about $10 a plate for your standard cheese burger or chicken fingers. I went on a weekday and the lines were pretty quick 15 to 30 minutes each.

My family and I have Season passes the past 7 years and it is great fun and not expensive since we are there most every weekend for at least a few hours .. the "people reserving tables issue " is common any where however , we just sit and eat with their belongings on the table .. only once has the other family came up while we were there and all was good with them ..

Awesome place. Plenty of free parking. We arrived an hour after opening. After an hour of being there the lines actually got shorter. Look for the raging river. That is the longest water ride. It has a couple of fast spots and plenty of slow areas finishing on the peaceful river area. Me, my wife, my 15 yo, 12 yo, and 8 yo all loved the raging river the best.

The original, and still the best. I literally drive hours past other parks to see this central Texas Treasure. No hassles, no gouging, no judging. Buy food, bring a picnic, either way you can leave tired and with a smile on your face.

I ve been going to this water park since I was little and it s still exciting to go to. My family will typically get to the new park when they open (10:00 am but double check the site for any last minute changes), grab a locker, snag a picnic table and ride the rides there before the park gets crazy. Then we head to the old park and hit up the rides there, grab a snack and hit the heated pool if we get too chilly.

A few helpful tips.

1: If you decide to home base at the new park grab a picnic table in the shade between the rides and the Guadalupe river.
2: Home base old park, head to the back entrance of the park. Go past the main entrance/parking lot then make a left at the stop sign. Not only are their lockers as soon as you enter, there s a ton of shaded picnic tables available a few feet away. You re greeted with a small waive pool and a snack/beverage area. AND there s always parking back there!
3: I highly recommended packing a cooler with lunch, snacks, fruit and tons of water. The food and eats at the park are really expensive. An 8oz beer costs $12...

Had a blast! Make sure you keep plenty of water on hand and arrive a little before the gates open and start at the east park, because there is less shade at the west park. And if you can it's better go 2 days or a weekday if you desire to ride every single ride.

Stayed in room 516 on the premises. Nothing is really included. Very expensive food and fees. Way overpriced to stay onsite. I recommend renting an AirB&B or VRBO and drive over. So many unsupervised teenagers running concessions and check in desks NOTHING was organized or efficient for our family. I highly recommend...Do your research then do a little more!

Also, the sulphur from the water turned my James Avery Sterling Silver necklace and charms black. BE EXTRA Careful if anyone is allergic to sulphur. My 10 yr old keepsake necklace got ruined by luckily no one got sick from the sulphur.

I am a 39 year old cripple guy, t-3, t,4. From mid chest down. I loved going to Schlitterbahn when I was walking. Great times. Now days when we go, I just sit there in the shade and drink seven dollar beer. I could get on some of the tube shoots and things like that, it would just really slow things down, how would I get back to my chair... Just lots of questions. I don't expect them to "fix" the park for cripple people, I just don't think I should have to pay for a $40 ticket.

Great place to bring anybody really. It is a global attraction, and if you're privileged enough to live so close, you really ought to go at least once. Wish there weren't so many people there though, honestly. The lines, the slow-walking families, infants... Not the park's fault... It's a great place!

This place is going down hill fast. Nothing sucks more when you slide through sludge. And I'm really getting tired of paying 100$ to wait in line for hours because of equipment failure.

We are a small family of three with petite 2 yr old. We visited schlitterbahn towards the end of the season so only the east side of the park was open this particular day. Because of our young daughter we were limited on the amount of rides we were comfortable riding together so we were subjected to riding in tubes in the different "rivers" and of course the kiddie areas located throughout the park, which we pretty much expected. We overall had a great time . Schlitterbaun allows you to pack a picnic cooler filled with all your edible concoctions as long as arent alcoholic or in glass containers which was great for us. They even refunded a portion our our ticket admissions because we pre purchased "any day" full price tickets and ended up visiting on a "Schlitterbaun LITE" day. The life guards monitor the kiddie areas very closely and the water is a few degrees warmer in these areas. Also they have enclosed kiddie tubes with bottoms for the tube rides and free parking. But schlitterbaun does makes you feel like you need to take out a second mortgage to buy anything inside the park. You will probably end up purchasing something eventually even if it's only a locker which will cost you at least $12-15 bucks. The cement paths get scorching hot without water shoes and the tables in designated picnic areas are packed in together tightly leaving guests to maneuver to their stuff through a maze of coolers, wagons, strollers, children and other random unidentfied objects. Overall this is a great waterpark with something for everyone. Being prepared, bringing extra cash, and arriving early will ensure you have stress free and fun experience!

It is an ok place. Not what I expected. I expected way more water rides. In one of the parks, there's only three water slides and the wait is at least an hour for each. That is crazy. On the original park, there are more slides and less line so that was a little better. However, there is never a place to sit and eat. People always "reserve" their tables by leaving stuff on them. So there's like 20 tables without people that you can't sit on. I don't think it's worth it for the money.

Fun, but the lines were so long and took over 30 minutes to ride one ride after twelve. If you go as soon as they open, be sure to ride the best you can and the the lines get sooo long. We only got to ride 5 rides, then we went to the wave pool because there was no line to get in, but they have a shortage of rafts there, so not everyone gets one :(. If you don t want to wait in lines, go to the wave pool and have some fun! :)

We celebrated my wife's birthday here at the waterpark. It was a very good time. There are many, many fun water rides. There are two sides the park. On both sides of the river, there are good rides to be on. A shuttle bus carries you between both sides. There are many many lifeguards and attendants to make it a very safe trip for you and your family, and even young children. It is a very family-oriented place. This is my first time here, but I plan to come back. Because, it is nice place to visit. Unlike Fiesta Texas, this place does not seem like a money hole. You can bring your own food, and drinks, and that is nice. We rented a cabana, which was convenient for our birthday celebration. You need a tube for each ride, but happily they provide the tubes at each ride ...no need to lug a tube around the park. I have a very favorable impression from our visit, and want to come back. (Unlike Fiesta Texas, which I've visisited several times, and which I do not plan to visit ever again)
