Great location and amenities would've gotten a better rating but the drainage in the tub sucked
I working there they put me up in a room while I'm there with three meals aday
This is one of the nicest resorts I've been to. The staff is always smiling and the people and children look so happy... when in DESTIN again this Hilton will be where we stay.
Clean, great staff and walking distance to golf courses fishing holes and white sand beach.
Nice place to take the family and have a great relaxing time
Pretty nice place overall. Location is a bit off some of the main drag. Staff and rooms are ok.
We have been staying at the Hilton for years usually several times a year. We have never had a bad experience the staff has always been very responsive and helpful. We will continue to stay here in the future
Good hotel with spacious rooms. Right on the beach with convenient shuttle service.
Stayed during a work conference. A lot of construction, but that is understandable due to it being the off season. However took the stairs from the first to second floor often with the elevators very busy since a lot of colleagues on the same schedule. The stairwell filthy with food trash, gum on floor and spilled drinks on stairs. Made comment to front desk on day two and never corrected leaving day six. Disappointing as a Hilton Honors member.
Extremely nice staff, unbelievable rooms, and great beach access! We will be back!!
Never place a reservation over the phone with this establishment always go third party!
The hotel is suitable for a stopover between Florida and New Orleans.
The beach is so beautiful. You can tell the hotel unfortunately, that it has been a few years on the hump.
It is in my view, therefore, rather a Hilton of the lower category. It is clean and everything as you would expect.
Fantastic view, wonderful service, and clean room. We love the Hilton Sandestin, and we can t wait to book our next trip!
We are headed home from a 3 night stay here absolutely exhausted. I haven t slept in 3 nights because the double beds are hard, and fulls (not queen) - which is entirely too small for a couple to sleep. Our thermostat stayed on 61 but we woke up hot every night with extremely dry eyes. The pillows are so soft they go completely flat as soon as you lay your head on them. Two nights I got in the other bed myself and my husband and I slept separately in an attempt to get comfortable. For $435 a night (taxes+resort use fee), I would expect a luxury sleeping experience. The shower turns into a bath after 5 minutes because the drains are incredibly slow; and that just grosses me out.
Now, I will say the resort itself, the amenities, and the staff are otherwise a 5 Star experience. But, I wouldn t even pay $50 a night to ever stay here again just based on the lack of sleep and comfort. If you stay here, bring your own pillows at least!!! This was the worst hotel sleep of my entire life and we travel often.
Had family vacation for Christmas. Thank you to the staff and everyone in Hilton for making our stay amazing! The location and the beach were abdolutely stunning! Its absolute paradise! Highly recommended to everyone to visit. Room with even partial ocean view was incredible!
Great access to the beach, great restaurants on site, great cocktails!
Had a gorgeous room with panoramic coastal views, steam room and hot tub I will never ever forget. Seagars Restaurant was the best. Even though I couldn't get an inside reservation, my SO and I ordered take out which was delicious. The twice baked potato and the warm spinach salad was mouth watering. Beach was too packed so we opted for early early mornings and remain adamant about our social distancing. I hope it was enough. Will definitely return.
5th year attending a conference and the restort never disappoints
Awesome beach experience, but nothing is ever included. Make sure you make plans for your whole trip and family.
great place to stay, fun for everyone. When my friends come in from out of town they want to stay at the Hilton
We had mixed feelings about our stay at this Hilton. First off, the pictures of the family suites are deceiving. We thought their would be an extra room with a king or two doubles. Their was not. It's all one big room. When you walk in their are bunk beds, (the ceiling was low and the ladder was steep) then a hallway, bathroom ( with no lock on it, by the way) then the bed with a table & sofa ( that turns into a bed) then balcony. They do have multiple restaurants, but all of them were pricey. They did give us a free ice cream, it was pretty good. Alex who checked us in was very helpful.
They have multiple pools, but if you dont get out to the lounge chairs by seven your out of luck! Beachfront was great! You have to rent chairs & umbrellas for the beach, so we just brought our own. The hot tub in the indoor pool jets did not work.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
We ate a lot off property since we had a lot of activites planned.
We really enjoyed the beachfront access & the views.
Beautiful views, great family friendly place to stay. Restaurants on site and gorgeous beach.
Great room with a view of the ocean. Spacious, clean with a beautiful beach and pool.
Nice resort right on the beach. The rooms could use some updating. Expect to overpay for food and drinks.
Outdoor facilities were fantastic, drink prices were reasonable for a venue of its caliber
What one should expect from high end accommodations. Extremely expensive!
Terrible customer service!! Room had mold, broken shower handle, toilet was wobbly , room smelled bad , and a dirty rag was left on the bedside table! Oh, but the room was sealed clean !!
We spoke to the manager and he was refusing to give us another room due to COVID!! Like really??? Makes no sense! I had to argue with him to give us a room!!
Also, I checked in online and I when I got to hotel, they had already changed my rooms! What s the point of checking in online and choosing your room if they are still gonna take it to give to someone else??!
They were doing nothing to enforce social distancing. I recorded and took pictures.
Many other things happened, I m not gonna bother to write on here , but I am going to call corporate.
I will never stay here again!!! Hotel is old , and needs a lot of repairs. Customer service is the worse!
Customers don t matter, only their money!
This was our first time at this location and disappointed is an understatement. First, the property was difficult to get in/out/around unless you have a private golf cart. Parking is very minimal and far from any points of interest, so you're stuck using their tram system. The idea of it is great, but the execution is terrible. It is supposed to pick up/drop off "every 30 minutes or less". We along with others waited 45 minutes before having to walk down the road to find an employee to page a tram driver to pick us up. Once he finally arrived, he was extremely rude and hateful to the riders the entire trip. We wasted over an hour that day simply trying to get to the beach. The room itself had a good view of the bay as its only positive. It had obviously not been cleaned as there were empty soda cans under the edge of the bed, makeup smears on the sheets, and plenty of crumbs/sand/etc on the floor to tell it had not been swept/vacuumed/mopped since at least the last visit. The linens were very dingy and worn, as well as the bathroom having dated and dirty fixtures, tile work, and cabinetry. The mini fridge leaked the entire time and the microwave and counter top was covered in a sticky liquid. We will absolutely not return to this property or any of its affiliates.
It is a great property, well kept, and the staff was extremely professional and helpful. James, who helped us check in, was fantastic, and enthusiastic to say the least. Parking was very easy. I live in FL, near Clearwater, which has beautiful beaches, but they don't compare to the water here. It was absolutely Bahama clear, but even better, it also had fun waves to ride. I already have my next reservation to stay here again in a month or so.
That said, prepare for a few things. The hotel doesn't perform housekeeping services at this time. They are more than happy to bring up additional towels and toiletries should you need them. The sliding glass doors to patio are extremely heavy and hard to open/shut. Small children and elderly would have a very hard time. Although the staff and hotel do what they can to keep distance and wear face masks, social distancing is certainly not followed by guests. It's not necessarily because they don't want to, but because it's that crowded. Even umbrellas rented by the hotel were so close together that I could pass a drink from me to the family next to me without getting out of my chair. You may want to reserve your umbrella ahead of time. It appears the hotel policy on reserving umbrellas has no real consequence if you don't show. Hence, people reserve them 'just in case' they need it, and then don't even bother cancelling. At 11, it's a free for all to rent umbrellas of people who didn't show. Additionally the picture of the beach on the hotel website is entirely misleading. It has one row of umbrellas, when I saw five during my stay. There is an area that belongs to the resort where you can set up your own umbrella, but be sure to be there early. If you're not there by 7:30AM, I am confident you won't have a beachfront spot (which for parents with kids is crucial). Additionally, they do not allow canopies. I would say that you should prepare to be assertive, or people will basically just park their stuff right up against you or right at the water in front of you if you allow them to. That said, even those people, when approached, were as nice as could be. Additionally, since there are mandates on how many people can be on an elevator (two individuals or one family), getting an up elevator at the end of the day when everyone is returning from the beach is an absolute hassle. It would benefit the hotel to have some type of system for forming a line to get on an elevator. People were just basically cutting in front of others to get on, leaving other guests behind to wait longer.
All in all, we had a lovely time and the people we met were so nice, both hotel staff and guests. Just prepare for the crowds.
Great updating hotel, in the heart of Sandestin. There is several wonderful restaurants, a very spacious pool deck indoors and outdoors, a fire pit, and some of the best beach access on the emerald coast. A shuttle is available for transportation, to and from the nearest shopping outlets.
This place is amazing! It has everything at your finger tips! Beach acsess, restaurants, basketball, tennis, golf just to name a few. You don't have to leave the resort
Lovely property, friendly staff, however the billing and charging is a bit confusing, and I've had to ask several items be corrected on my bill. Which they did, I just would rather not to have to be a watchdog about the bill when I'm on vacation. But as a location it's nice.
Overall is good, but Hilton needs to clarify about breakfast lines price. I enjoyed the 15th-floor room. This picture is the view from Hilton Sandestin Beach Gold Resort & Spa on the 15th floor.
We definitely enjoyed our experience. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice and the Barefoot Grill was great. I would recommend!
Very nice rooms and views. Good conference accommodations.
Great place for family or couples trip. Great outdoor and indoor pools, beautiful beach and pool view, large rooms and delicious food.
Resort staff was excellent as always. Always friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Mohammed who served us breakfast daily! The only complaint we have is that we had to leave to go back to normal life again and this upset my children. Would recommend always and will be back!
Great for a long weekend getaway - amazing views and access to the beach
The employees here make you feel like family. They went above and beyond to help us.
The room service menu was expansive and quite delicious!
The gift shop was great and had a variety of snacks and toys/souvenirs.
The private beach was so beautiful!
My family can't wait to take another vacation and stay here again.
Nice place to stay, could use some updates but service was great
Stayed here about a week ago. Right after hurricane hit.
CONS
Upon arrival I asked the bellman if I could just leave my car at front & check-in. The look he gave n asked me was I there to check in. WHAT ELSE WOULD I BE DOING HERE! N what kindakinds question is that? They have a secured hate to get in the area with Security Officer so yes it's pretty sure enough to say that everyone coming here is checking in or just coming for a function but considering the time of day & weather=duh checking in.
-front desk staff was polite, courteous despite the computers system not working at all. She did help me qlot but more people should be trained in the old ways of computers going down n handling guest check-in & outs. Yes we know that identity theft it at an all time high. That why you get identity protection & keep it moving.
-had to call security twice to get into my room because key cards could not be made. Now the 1st time was a man n 2nd time a woman who which was the same woman that I had talked to on the phone the 1st time. I understand that this was q very busy time but I just wanted to take a shower relax & go to sleep asap!
I do like the amenities & food that they offer at this hotel n Jacuzzi n pool but could not enjoy them because I WOULD would have had to call security yet again to get back into my room!
We enjoyed our stay, albeit short. The parking was convenient, our room was nice, the pool was fantastic and the distance to the beach wasnt bad at all.
This place is very clean, neat, and filled with very polite. Christine (at the front counter) was very cheerful and helpful. She definitely made our experience very memorial. Thanks for having a smile on your face and treating us so nicely.
So beautiful, clean, and everyone is so friendly. One of my favorite places ever.
Beautiful hotel. Right on the beach with great amenities. Rooms are very nice, and the on-site restaurants are delicious. probably the best feature of this hotel is how close it is to the beach, and the fact that it has several different pools that you can choose from if you don't feel like swimming in the ocean.
Great resort currently undergoing renovation. Yes, sometimes jackhammers in the lobby, etc. So, why am I giving the Hilton such a good rating? Well, as we were trying to check in and the jackhammers were going full blast, so we could not hear or understand the receptionist/check-in person! My wife and I said, "This is ridiculous. We need to be upgraded to a better room, away from all this noise!" We were upgraded to an ocean view jr. suite on the 10th floor, which was wonderful! So, there was some inconvenience initially, but we received a complimentary upgrade and had a great vacation! The location of the Hilton by the TopSail State Park means you can walk along an uncrowded beach for over 1 mile. We loved that.
Second time staying here. This hotel is beautiful. Large rooms, professional meeting areas, and the food is good. Would definitely recommend.
Course in Great shape. Amazing views. Challenging. Rate of play to keep up with was aggressive
Everything but the room is spectacular. Great views of the beautiful beach , great restaurants and pools . Able to rent chairs and umbrellas, but the room was just a room . Nothing too fancy about it .
