I called about an apartment to rent in Livonia - said I was looking for a place with great amenities and extras, and they said they had just the place. I made an appointment, filled out an application, and I just love my new apartment at Apple Ridge!
I am a tenant at the Troy Place Apartments location which is owned by SG Companies. I have to say that my wife and I are terribly disappointed with the experience that we have had thus far.
If I overpromised and underdelivered in an equivalent fashion to what we've experienced at the Troy Place Apartments and with SG companies, my business would fall apart quickly. I suppose it's nice to have a business that locks people into leases and creates a financial barrier to breaking the contract.
We were told that the clubhouse, pool, and workout facility would be completed months ago (2 weeks after we signed the lease actually). These were some of the key perks that swayed our decision to rent at the Troy Place Apartments.
We have now been renting 8 months at this complex and none of them are complete. I am quite certain that if the owners had a project that was 8 months overdue for their own homes they would not stand for it.
My wife and I are urgently requesting that more attention be paid to the property from ownership. Unless the apparent care and consideration made to the property is improved there is almost no likelihood that we will continue to rent from SG Companies.
I wish no ill will, and in fact, due to the benefits of location I sincerely wish that this property becomes a priority of SG Companies who owns this property.

Several friends of mine are currently renting apartments from Sanders Management and they are very happy. I also belong to a REIA group that highly recommends this company for their friendly staff and top-notch maintenance team.
SG management has really improved the apartment complex that I live in.
I run a local real estate club in Michigan for real estate investors. The best ran real estate management group I have seen is Sanders Management Group. Very professional and get results!
Ive tried contacting Six Trails Appartment Complex and SG-Companies for a few weeks now and neither offices are able to communicate with me. Someone might answer initially but once they know what your calling for they dont answer thereafter. Bad communication and managment skills.
I am a resident at kings pointe and have not had a good experience. There s a laundry list of issues we have or had with our unit but that s not the main issue. Management is unqualified for their positions. It took over 48 hours to get maintence here for a plumbing emergency, which happened to be the water from our shower leaking directly into the kitchen, cracking the ceiling and leaking on the floor. This was along with a handful of other issues. Only after being yelled at by my boyfriend for not being able to use our shower for 3 days did they send the maintence man. Of course, he also has not been back to paint over it. We were told then verbally over the phone if we were unhappy we could leave. A week later a notice was taped on our door citing they will not renew our lease. We would simply like to the grounds this decision was made on before we contact our legal team.
The reason I m leaving his review on SG instead of Kings pointe is because I have been trying to contact the regional manager for weeks, leaving several messages and have not had a response. My boyfriend did briefly speak to Shaquetta who was on her way into a meeting but unfortunately she never followed up. We were trying to go through SG since Latrice and Diamond are incapable of coming up with solutions but we aren t having luck. We are highly unsatisfied.
I recently moved back to Troy Place and both Sarah & Mona were a pleasure to interact with during the application process. In working closely with Mona, she was very responsive, friendly, and patient. In addition, I had a few repairs that required attention in my unit and the maintenance staff member, Richard was excellent! He was very professional, friendly, and quick. I don't recall interacting with any maintenance staff in the past with the soft skills that Richard has demonstrated. Overall, both the office and maintenance staff have demonstrated high quality customer service!
i am a resident of troy place since 2005. till sg took it over it was a very pleasant and proud place to call home. Since SG took over the property is mismanaged . The elevator has not worked since sep 2016. Carpet on the sixth floor has open seams and even after complaining that my walker was getting caught in it causing a hazard. its not fixed the building managers are hired for their rudeness NO IT IS NOT A PLACE TO LIVE IN UNLESS YOU LIKE TO PAY HIGH RENT FOR SERVICES PROMISED BUT NOT PROVIDED

Ever since SG took over things have skyrocketed. The staff is worlds nicer, and the building is actually an appealing place to live.
Do not move here. Latrice is the worst property manager. She does care about her tenants at all. She will not respond timely. She will not have maintenance follow through to fix the problem. She hires people that are not Certified! She is very Unprofessional. My daughter has emailed, left messages and she will call back weeks later. So many tenants having issues. We have been without our Central Air Three Times this Summer In Extremely Hot weather! The first time it was a week long! The second time, five days. This is now our third time! The heat in our Townhouse is Unbearable!!! Latrice now says they have to order a part and it will be days before it is fixed! This is Awful. Rent is $1200. Never Late! Do not move to Kingspointe Townhomes. You will be Disappointed with Latrice as your Property Manager!!!
