Loved this place. Had my birthday gathering here and the owner made sure everything went exactly the way I wanted it too. He reserved some tables for me before I got there and made sure all my guests had a seat. The music was great, the staff was pleasant and the wine tasted great.

They have interesting drinks here. The nutella latte is good, although I wish they would put more nutella in it. They do give you a spoonful with your drink though which is pretty much heaven. They also offer a honey lavender latte which is decent and have pastries, paninis, and serve wine too.

No public bathroom. Good pastries and alright coffee. Service is hit or miss. Does have wine but unsure of the quality. Very convenient for 22nd St Caltrain station; one of the only spots near that stop.

Got here by accident, stayed for the people. They are super nice. I respectfully disagree with the previous reviewer, the Nutella latte has enough Nutella and if not I'm pretty sure you can ask for more they are super nice.

Very thankful for the great coffee and service nearby my job site for the last week! Gets a little crowded in there but I'd imagine with the price per square foot in SF that is the norm for coffee shops.

I stop here on my way to the train station almost every morning. The multi-coffee cards are great - it really cuts down on the transaction time for regulars who are just grabbing drip coffee. There's a good selection of pastries for such a small place and the baristas are really friendly.

It's December 21st and I just experienced the worst hospitality I've had this entire year.

Let me explain.

Everybody who catches the train on 22nd Street has walked by La Stazione. It's right on the corner.

I was about 15 minutes early for my Caltrain on a cold and slightly drizzly morning. So, I decided to kill some time at La Stazione before my train arrived.

The barista and I make eye contact and then I tell him I probably won't get anything this time, I'm just trying to stay a little warm. He smarkly replies "well the tip jar looks a bit lonely."

I chuckle, thinking he must be joking. But seconds later, the barista says "No, seriously. If you're not going to buy anything, you have to get out because we're a really small place and it can get crowded in here."

I look behind me because I knew there was only one other customer in front of me. No one else was there.

For context, today was the Friday before Christmas. La Stazione and the Caltrain, for that matter, were ghost towns.

I told the barista "I'll happily leave when more people come, but there's plenty of space and it's cold outside." After reading the barista's reaction, I decided to just leave and wait for my train outside. Before I left, I asked him for his name, to which he replied "Daniel" with a bit of hesitation. He had long-ish dark hair (maybe with a bit of green dye, but I can't remember) and pale white skin.

I left the coffee shop embarrassed, confused, and cold. But Daniel the barista (if that was his real name) was right about one thing.

La Stazione is too small... It's too small to fit blatantly rude employees like Daniel.

It was like an oasis, at the most critical time.
I was suffering cramps in my legs from cycling. I needed water bad. The friendly gentleman had a cup of ice water in my hand before i could ask a second question. I bought two bannanas and to a break finally to recover. 22nd St Station Caltrains SF, CA. La Stazione
22nd St and Pennsylvania St. Next to train station. On the corner, (22nd St Station, Caltrain)

Lovely place with great coffee and the nicest barista. My husband used to go there all the time pre-covid. We went recently and Sammy greeted him like an old friend, and remembered his name and 'usual'. True neighborhood cafe.
