My kids love this place, and to be honest I do too. We have been there twice now and I doubt it'll be the last time. It's really the main reason we go to Blackpool.

Each time we arrive early and get as many rides in as we can. By midday, we are all starving, but burgers and chips soon fix that. By 3pm, we have all been on so many rides we are all exhausted. So we left tired but happy.

Very noisy, & full of inconsiderate people. The massive temperature difference from the pools to the changing rooms... Hot to freezing... almost guarantees that you're going to develop a cold after leaving. The staff are helpful...ish, but it's not a place I'm going to be returning to, either with my daughter, or any other family members.

Not sure why it's called Sandcastle Waterpark, there is no sand or castle here, lol. Awesome waterpark with lots to do and kids loved it!

Variety of slides and water rollercoasters. The waves are good and the rapids are excellent.

Downside is, it can get very busy during the weekends and school holidays and the queues will be huge.

Don't let the fact it's in Blackpool put you off. This place is fantastic and the kids love it. We've only been during a school day so can't comment on how busy it is during peak periods.

This is a great, family-fun, indoor water park. From white-knuckle thrills to the tranquil Sea Breeze Spa. This is a great day out for anyone. With disabled access, everyone can enjoy The Sandcastle! It can be quite overcrowded in peak hours so I d recommend getting straight to the best slides first or at lunch where it won t be as long to queue. Although this attraction is jam-packed, a few new slides would be nice. Lifeguards are friendly and supportive if you have a fear of water. Perfect rainy-day activity.

This place used to be great but now it's very expensive. 16 pound just to swim and when I say swim I mean stand in shallow wasit deep water rammed with people even on quiet days. There is the wave pool but only at the farthest end is it really suitable for swimming. The slide here are fairly good but cost an additional 7 pound for anything but the most basic baby slides. The queues to these can get very long and on a busy day would be awful. They also turn off the best slide for hours at a time which is particularly poor. You can obtain food and drink here on the wet side which now has a cashless system where by you pay money up front on to a wristband and you can use that credit to buy things once in the pools. A clever an innovative solution to carrying money rather than simply get a bit of cash from the changing room or a crafty way of hoping to keep the excess credit you haven't spent when you leave which you are supposed to claim back. Overall it's great for kids but then they aren't paying and even kids tickets are expensive.

Took the children and they had a great time. The queues weren't too bad either, must've been lucky with the day we've picked judging by reading the other reviews. Food was edible, the fast variety. My friend ordered what he called a 'posh burger' and that was actually very good. Service was slooooow.

As almost all of the reviews state (both negative and positive) the management let in WAY too many people and this problem seems to have been the same for 5+ years as the reviews state. Other than in the very deep end of the wave pool my boyfriend and I could not walk anywhere without getting trampled, swam into or grabbed by random children that have floated away from their parents. The rapids were too slow because off the over crowding of people and I even witnessed young children getting slammed into walls by big adults(not their fault) due to the unfortunate overcrowding. Considering this problem has not been addressed I feel that the management do not even read the reviews and instead of considering safety and satisfaction are more concerned about making the most money a day.

However, the changing rooms were very clean and the staff were all very polite and a few even made jokes to us. Life guards were always at the ready also. The slides you can get on with the hyper zone wrist bands are really good but not amazingly spectacular (my favourite is Aztec Falls).

Just a heads up if anybody uses this place. A friend of mine who visited here on Tuesday 18 February 2020 was treated unfairly by a member of staff and was accused of stealing armbands and also told not 2 come back and has now had a apparent allergic reaction to the chemical used in the waterpark (bromine).

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Sandcastle on Sunday. Enough measures had been taken to increase safety but without compromising the fun. Kids loved the splash area and small slides and enjoyed their first time in a wave pool! It was nice and easy to get food and drinks as you can load your band with money so you don't have to go back to the changing rooms. Food arrived quickly and was very nice, my jacket potato was good value with masses of topping. Lovely morning out.

Fantastic place but book online before you go to avoid long queuing. We also arrived early on the day which meant we could use all slides inside 2/3 times without queuing before it got busy. Found it to be very clean and a nice temperature inside. Overall had a fab day with a family if 5

Amazing place but too busy.

Amazing place but too busy.
Maybe they should put a cap on the amount of people in at once.
Really could not move.
We queued up for one of the large slides for nearly 45 minutes.
Food is really expensive.
It is a nice family day out but only go at quiet times, not in school holidays

Went here on Friday the 9th and queued for nearly 2hrs to get in.
Was way to many people in and felt like sardines, we were repeatedly being kicked and punched by kids swimming, and my son got an elbow to the face.
There was also a bunch of unruly kids pushing other children under the water, they were eventually removed but only after an hr of parent reporting them.

Just had my son's 11th Birthday at sandcastle waterpark. It was the most stress-free party ever! Easy to book, and great service on arrival and throughout the day. Good food and plenty of it and the party organiser was efficient and friendly. The kids had a great time for 6 hours and I could relax in the cool area at the front of the building knowing there were plenty of lifeguards to keep them safe. Very good value for money

Finally we can go swimming again! We decided to bring the kids here for a fun day as they ve missed swimming so much. It was very well organised. Busy but not too busy, I think you need to go and expect that in a pool social distancing isn t going to be perfect especially with waves and river rapids. Everyone stuck to it as much as possible, the queue have markers on the floor and we never had to queue for long for the slides.
I have a guide dog and the staff looked after her in the first aid room. We didn t fancy the food so can t comment on that. We all had a good time. Family of 4 2 children aged 4 and 7

Very busy and unsafe during school holidays. Lifeguard did not help me and my family after an incident in the pool. on reporting this to the manager he was very interested and helpful.cant fault manager but lifeguards need to be more dutiful.

Safety here is paramount with dozens of lifeguards watching your every move plus water ambassadors actually in the water with you.Very very clean the changing rooms included with full time member of staff cleaning the changing rooms while we were there. Wouldnt buy the extra upgrade again on the bigger rides as the queues were too big. Would recommend the morning too as by the afternoon was heaving.

First time I've been here with my two teenagers and my 6 year old. We all loved it. We spent 3 hours here, trying out each slide and swimming. Great day out for all the family. Highly recommended.

What a great place. Arrived just after 9am and spent the whole day there, the more thrilled rides are great. The master blaster and side wonder but the best one is the one with darkness. Ques can be lengthy but not too bad. Great More
