Waterpark itself was great fun and good variety of slides etc but the only reason it does not get 5stars is the quality of the food they serve!

It is an amazing place to spend a day in. Kids loved it so much. There is a variety of slides for all ages. Prices are reasonable especially if you booked online a week before. There is a restaurant which has some vegetarian options. There is a shop to rent or buy a swimming suit or towel if you forget to bring yours. Also the wrist band is very helpful to pay with without carrying money or card with worry to lose it while playing. The only uncomfortable thing is parking when we arrived the council park next to it was full so we had to park a little far.
But generally it was wonderful day we extremely enjoyed it.
If you ever go to Blackpool this is a must for fun lots to do in here but definitely need to buy the extra slides part to make it a great time not just a good time. This place is always packed and queues can take quite bit time but if book online it's cheaper and walk past the queue line and get go straight in. Aswell as slides there's a play area giant tip bucket and an area just to swim and another that pulls you round. Also has water cannons and other bits.
brilliant day out! I took my 2 and a half year old (I had previously been unsure about how much there would be for his age but I done quite a bit of research before hand and decide it would be worth it) he had a brilliant day, I like the fact you can put money on your band so as not to have to go back to get money for food, there are plenty of slides for little ones and the slides for older ones looked awesome, lots to keep them entertained and we were constantly busy, I also noticed that when the wave pool starts up the have 4 lifeguards with their boards attached to their bodies stationed and each corner of the wave pool who pay very close attention, guards are switched between attractions quite often as well (as I know this can be a very boring job and it's easy to lose focus) so I thought this was quite reassuring, if I lived close by I would definitely come once in a while and if I'm back in Blackpool I will be back. literally the only thing I had a concern about was that you use the band to scan and use any avalible locker.. meaning u have to remember your number lol so maybe pick a memorable one.
Plenty to do, exciting, organised, had a great time!
Best waterpark in UK. It's all indoors, so you can go regardless of the weather. The 4 hyperzone rides are incredible and are not to be missed. It's usually most busy in the middle of the day so plan your day accordingly, perhaps using the busy times as an opportunity for lunch. The staff are helpful and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Would fully recommend.
Had an absolutely fantastic day for my daughter's 11th birthday, we took a couple of her friends and we was in there all day, they went on all the slides and thoroughly enjoyed it, the girls did their own thing all day, it was.safe as it was well staffed. It was lovely and warm even whilst queuing for the slides.
Went for the first time yesterday. Got there at opening time (10am) was very busy but not uncomfortable. Rides were great but only downfall was the prices
Visited during the October Half term to encounter a problem with the locker wrist band for our family of 5 we was given 2 wrist bands 1 worked other didn't. Pointed it to member of staff checked the band on a system on post and it needed resetting took it back up stairs assistant brought it back down yet again played up would not respond with the locker to lock it. Gave up put all the stuff in 1 locker instead of 2 lockers. When We checked out of the Sandcastle to get our deposits back mentioned it to the staff member he scanned the wrist band said the wrist band is ok looking at me as I am liar when the other staff member saw it downstairs witnessed it didn't even get apology in unprofessional customer service equipment that don't work before you ask yes tried different lockers re thinking not to go again after the hassle we had with the lockers I hope others see this and see what they are going to expect
Booked online which was supposed to give discount... Ended up paying more with booking fee than we would have if just turned up. Have to pay extra for other rides... Wastebof money and will not be going again.
It was ok, but considering the size of the venue and cost I was expecting a lot more to be honest.
If you're in Blackpool for a holiday then by all means go, it is fun and great for kids. And staff are great. I think the build up put my expectations a little high
Brilliant day out for young and old kids alike! Plenty of slides and splash areas for little ones and excellent bigger rides for the older ones. Very clean and tidy with lots of attentive staff.
Annual summer experience,
Get there early to get on slides before ques build as day progresses.
Spa is a nice break from slides if your able to do so, as it's adults only.
This is a great water park and ideal for the unpredictable blackpool weather. It gets very busy but if you book online you dont have to queue to get in. The staff are friendly and helpful. When we thought our son had run off the staff mobilized with military precision and went into action to find him. They were amazing. I would recommend this water park to anyone visiting blackpool. Thank you sand castle.
I recently went with my girlfriend (both mid 20's) and we were worried that we would stand out with not having any kids but that didn't seem to be an issue. The park is designed for kids but there are "hyperzone" slides which are designed More
A brilliant day out for all the family and loads to do
Loved it. It helped give my 6 year old confidence in the water. Great family day out.
We enjoyed our morning here. It gets very VERY busy so arrive early to enjoy it before the crowds arrive.
Absolutely fabulous four and a half hour visit this morning for my daughters birthday. Can't fault it, we had an amazing time, though we're all a bit tired now. Definitely worth paying the extra for the hyperzone to get access to the big slides. Also, must commend each and every member of staff we met, all of whom could not have done more to make sure everyone was safe and having a good time. Can't wait 'till we can go again.
One off the best days out I've had for an oap but very expensive I'd go again ha
Digusted to read youve recently hosted an event? Each to there own i get but to host an event so openly and put children at risk? My boys have visited you a number of times but will never allow them again
Ok went here with the kids and the other half, now i like this place.
Pro...
Its got a good chunk of water rides and they do what they say on the tin.
Con...
If you dont go on the rides before 10am your waiting 30 to 40mins a ride.
Pros..
The staff are friendly and the food is ok like a burger joint meals are like 6pound a person.
Bottom line get there for 9am do all the rides you want for the first hr then enjoy a swim then go cause it becomes crazy busy and you wont be able to do nothing.
This place is really good fun, been three times in about 2 months, prices ain't too bad, even better if you take proof of being a local as you get half price discount card for you and one other. Can't wait to go again
Nice aquapark with a large number of attractions for children and adults.
Great family fun, although a bit pricey with long queues
Decent day out with the kids, admission price is good value. Limited healthy food options available once inside. Parking available nearby. Advise getting there when it opens as it really gets busy around lunchtime and stays that way for the rest of the afternoon.
Great fun, kids loved it and had fab time.
Very recommended
I have come to the Spa to refresh and relax as it says on the information, there is no way to relax and unwind while the kids are in the pool, the noise is beyond belief. I have gone on a search for ear plugs which don't work. Even when More
This place has a great variety of entertainment from babies through to adults! A variety of slides and pools offer hours of fun! The life guards here are very friendly and vigilant especially with photography and child safety!
Been there twice now, great fun for the whole family. Only problem is there s always a lot of people there so it s a bit crowded but I ve only ever went during school holidays so no wonder it was busy. Always kept clean and the workers seemed rather nice.
What a fantastic time we had here over the weekend in the water park kids loved it an so did we definatly be back ,just to thank the young girl who works there for the pic she took of us on the stairs going down to the changing rooms as well as the young lass who was very chattyb at the bottom ,staff were fantastic and very helpfull
Love the water park we spend all day in there. If you like having fun in the water this is the place for you it's even got a spar for the adults, to spend a little me time, I would recommend it to everyone, well worth the 5 stars
This place is fantastic. Great fun to be had by adults and children alike. We attended the disability nights. The staff are so helpful and attentive. The only downside for me is it is they don't offer any discount on car park like Southport...ect do. However SWP trumps the others and is simply the best.
This is a must visit my daughter 14yrs old and myself had a great day here we went in at 10am and left at 5pm the waterslides are great and the staff were very friendly.
Every on must visit this water park at some time. I loved it more than the kids
Fantastic but price is shocking could make it cheeper
I've had an enjoyable morning here the staff are really friendly Thank you.
As away great place to have some fun with children.
Loved it great for families food good and resonabled priced you can easily spend the day here . highly recommend
The price was great being a local but not so great waiting nearly an hour in the queue just to get in, I know it was half term but get all the tills open or a separate queue for pre booked guests. On the other hand the staff there was really helpful and kind.
The food court wasn't the greatest experience as there was only one place for you to go and the queue was ridiculously long. It took over an hour to get our food and I wish you were allowed to take your own food as I had a one year old and I couldn't give her anything due to the not bringing your own food policy.
When it comes to the changing rooms I had some issues with getting a decent size cubicle to get the pram into and ended up getting a friend to look after my daughter whilst i got changed. There was also no where to park my pram whilst we enjoyed the facilities. The designated pram parks were all full and this was at 11:30.
The experience in the place was good as I was with other mother's with their kids but it wouldn't have been great if I was on my own.
Everything is nice, only a little bit of cleanliness is missing, a mega queue for slides
Not to bad if your a sardine and you like waiting in line
If i could rate it NO stars i would, me, my friend and boyfriend had a journey over 2 hours to be dissapointed, looks massive from the outside, you get in and its mainly the lobby and shops/arcades, the whole place had a very funny smell, theres a lazy river and a wave pool, mainly slides, however personally i feel they should have limited spaces especially because there was no room to move or swim because it was packed, we went to blackpool for a nice day out however we got there for 11:30am, and left thr water park before 1pm because it was so grim and dirty, green mould around alot of the stuff aswel and marks uder the pool/ the floor.
Great fun. If visiting Blackpool buy the standard resort pass and add Sandcastle tickets to it as it is so much cheaper AND you get the hyperzone wristband included
Queued an hr to get in . Cost 85 pound for 4 . Queued about 30 mins for rides and then broke down three times. To full. Way to expensive.
Really great place for the kids to have lots of fun
Very nice place ...but busy in the weekends. On weekdays is exceptional definitely recommend.
Great for the family, lots to do, look into the locals discount and enjoy.
Really fun. Getting food was a bit chaotic and time wasting but other than that, very good
A really beautiful place with excellent staff support
Really good fun, great for kids...book in advance though because the queue to pay was huge. The food is expensive but still a great day.
Love this place dont think extras should be charged for the 3 slides teenagers get bored on small slides and food option are all fast food
Just great fun for the whole family. We did the tiki kabana option this year. Which is expensive but worth it. The only thing was if you want got drinks then you still have to pay for them. But you do get 24 cold drink. That doesn't help me though as I don't actually drink them. I've been to the top water parks in the country and the sandcastle is by far the best.
Paid extra for wrist bands to go on the larger rides. When we arrived the main ride wasn't working & were told paying extra is no guarantee. Save your money and go elsewhere
Lots of money but made the whole day of it. Staff helpful and not moody from having to deal with the normal types Haha.
Amazing place to swim. Staff are lovely and friendly
Cracking fun, some great flumes, get there early, or late, queues can get quite long
Really good facilities and lots of fun for the kids. Massive queue when we arrived though and took an hour to get in, not the facilities fault but hampered the experience somewhat but this was during the school holidays, Can't fault anything else though. My daughter loved it, and keeps asking when we can go back
