This place is fun for all adults and kids and is well worth the money you pay for
Came for the disability friendly session and it was fab. Loads of family and accessible changing and everything just seems to work smoothly. Plenty of floats and jackets and only small queues for the slides and activities. Husband said he could literally not get over how super friendly all the staff were!!! Fantastic night, we'll be back again
Great place was there from the time it opened until it was closing. Kids of all ages will love it.
Just been to Sandcastles last Sunday, we're not new to it by any means. But this time was different.
With Covid 19 restrictions in place Sandcastles became so so much better than normal, ques to the slides were great and we had room to play in the pools. I think the management should seriously look at keeping it just like this with a 3 hour slot and lower numbers, we'd go every week instead of every couple of months.
One thing that did annoy me though was the constant asking how old my lad was, yep he's 8 and a small 8 at 122cm. But if they'd have jist checked at entry and given him a band we wouldn't have been stopped, measured and questioned at every slide every time as the staff move around. I understand they have a job and duty of care but one check at the start would have saved all the checks and him being pulled out every time.
Anyway, was still bloody brilliant.
Lots of fun for adults and kids. You will know when to get out of the water when your fingers go wrinkly!
Brilliant place!very clean, amazing food, very friendly staff!
Brilliant but disappointed that you have to pay extra for the slides
Great family water park with loads to keep all ages happy. My daughter and I had a great time. Changing rooms were clean but a little small in the female changing area, and key fob locker was a bit temperamental but staff were more than happy to help. Lovely warm water with graduated depth for wee ones. Waves , slides and lovely beach themed decor which was impressive. Would recommend booking on line for faster entry and visiting early as we arrived just after 9 and there was already quite a queue. The pool does get very busy as the morning moves on but a great place to spend the day.
Car park was full, and staff moved our towels without telling us (they said we couldn't save tables in a certain area, which is fine but they could've made the it clearer with signs or something) and the family changing area smelled a bit funny, like the nappy bin needed changing. otherwise a good time and a fun day out.
Great fun. Staff are very friendly and reassuring that everyone has fun safely.
I was expecting to spend a full day at the water park today on my visit which would have made the price worth it, however it was so busy that we didn t even last 2 hrs. I am also suffering with what feels like whiplash after the 1st ride I went on it was a white slide which you ride on a ring it almost immediately spun me round backwards so that I went over all the bumps head 1st which was extremely painful the last bump was such a jolt I heard my neck click and am now feeling sick with the pain.
I think I was just unlucky it is a nice place and the staff seemed friendly & helpfull however I won t be rushing back.
Good family day out, combine this with another activity for a full day out
Amazing family fun and price is reasonable for what's on offer
Ok it's a good place to go with the kids
I did not like it so much.
For a start everything's a extra.
Want ketchup with your captive ordinance meal that's 30p more.
Food is sub par ... The lvl is below a KFC.
It takes ages to get your food.
Once you have that just try and find a place to eat it.
Everyone has put there towel down.
Coffee tastes like dish water. The burger looked like a... Well there are children present...
The pools water was well just dirty... It's like everyone just shed there skin. Just pop your head underwater and it's like my child backwashed he's sandwich into the water. He's 3 so that happens...
Would I want to go back... No, but I think my kids see past this and may well end up back here.
Notes ...
Pre book your ticket even if its the next day.
Eat before you go.
Maybe see the GP for some boosters...
Was great, just think it's silly to pay so much extra for 3 other slides. And no discount on that for people with disabilities card. Not all disabilities are physical
Fantastic, and it's great to get all slides in admission price
Absolutely disgusted at the risk this place has imposed on innocent & defenceless children, by hosting an event that allows naked adults to swim with children they don't know.
Last time I came here, I brought with me another adult & 4 children in total.
Will NEVER COME here again.
I hope you are boycotted out of business.

Visited with a family of five (3 kids aged 4-9) and there was so much to do it kept them happy for three hours solid without a break. We could easily have stopped, had lunch and carried on for a couple more hours before they had had enough. Expensive, but well worth it for a day out (subject to covid of course). Plenty for the younger two to do so they weren't left out because they were too small.
Kids loved it. Staff very friendly and food lovely, cooked to order
Very good slides and wave machine. You can queue for ages at peak times though for them. Food and drink available and changing rooms with costume dryers and hair dryers
Omg I spent the whole day here messing around, going on the rides, and chilling in the spa.
For the price this was amazing. Would highly recommend getting the spa package as its a nice change from the hectic rides
Lots of slides, good for most ages. Felt safe. Did however the pool was dirty. It was extremely busy when we went and had to wait to wait around 40 minutes to get the rubber rings and then que to get on the slide too. Also massive que to get in the pool too, luckily we had fast track but wouldn't have waited if not.
A very large waterpark will offer something for everyone. Great fun
Spent a fun packed 4 hours but still didn't want to leave when it was closing...will go earlier next time .
Visited here on 27th August and we had a delightful time!
The Covid 19 measures in place are both sensible and do not make the experience any less enjoyable.
The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, the changing room areas are cleaned constantly and our 4 year old grandson had the time of his life!!
Congratulations to the management and staff for making the Sandcastle a great day out, in these difficult times!!
Rewelka, very nice waterpark ... I recommend, everyone will find something for themselves, you can also eat something on the spot ...
For disabled its excellent.friendly and helpful people. Probably the best swimming experience in uk
Fab
Really enjoyed the slides stayed most of the day nice staff n food
Great slides/flumes, cant fault the changing rooms staff really helpful
BUT the problem was the amount of people who was let in.
Way to many pepole felt like you couldn't move my son got kicked multiple times in the lazy river or whatever it's called as it was so busy .
Great for the kids, took our 6 year old who could get on all but the biggest slides, even without them there was plenty to do.
Great for the kids! Expensive to eat but lots of fun
Spent the whole day there, but got very busy by lunchtime, only bad thing is not enough life guard for the amount of ppl
Always a good day here slides are fab ! Would recommend a visit
Was a nice place to go for the day. Parking is quite expensive and having to pay extra on top of the high price to get access to some of the slides and the spa seems a bit ridiculous. Fun time to be had there though.
Nice place for day out in summer specially for kids. Prices are a bit high as compare to other. Staff are polite and helpful. Facilities were clean
We have been a few time but this visit was disappointing as it was dirty and I mean dirty
Kids loved it but the water was cloudy and it was heaving with people.
Quite unusual there are No one or two star rating's in the reviews which go way back months. Nowhere is that popular however great it may sound. Yes, strange indeed.
Can't say how brilliant this place is - the staff are always ready to help and the place is always so tidy and willing to support anyone. The best!
Great place to spend a few hours, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price and availability of changing rooms. We didn't get the wristbands for the big slides because our son is too young. We would absolutely go again but it's not the kind of place you would go every week. Probably worth emphasising it's definitely a water park not a swimming pool.
First, the bad, because it's a big one:
THIS PLACE IS COLD.
In the water, out the water, it is really cold. Described as a sub tropical environment, the Irish Sea may have been warmer.
Given we spent 6 hours there, it was a lot to take and the last couple of hours were really spent clock watching for when the kids would be done.
That said, the kids had a blast, but for what describes itself as "the UK's largest indoor waterpark" I have been to many others with similar rides, albeit minus the sidewinder, which is the only reason I'd recommend going here. Other water parks a couple of hours away are warmer with similar rides.
Great fun with great water slides and very VERY reasonable too.... shame it was sooooooo crowded tho but peak season it was to be expected ..... can't wait to come back x
Big indoor water park with really nice slides. Well maintained. Staff is taking good precautions for safety of customers. Wristbands are chargeable, so you don't need any cash. On busy days are long queues, especially for the highlights, but it's worth it!
So weekend away to Blackpool ended at sandcastle water park and it was a great day out the time flew by and spent over 5 hours in the water park only advise I would give is be sure to book the hyperzone pass as without it. Its the same as most water parks
Its really good but quite expensive- there are a lot of ques so get there early - 8 quid for parking aftet a 48 quid ticket for two is a sting - but was a brilliant day , to ride any good slides you need a 6 quid wrist band - the best slide is the aztec . was a lot of quing and if you're taking kids who aren't into super fast slides it may leave you lacking as the slides are fierce- my daughter (9) loved it but was also slightlt terrified by one or two- however they offer a lil rapids and wave pool but i would suggest only take strong swimmers or older children -
lunch was 12 and got 2 meals that where huge so a good saving really
definetly worth a visit probably out of season to miss the ques
Kids loved it, wife loved it, I loved it! Great day out, especially when it's cold and horrible outside!
Very nice place for families, cool slides for 3 years, clean, the only minus for food, only fast food
Clean, warm, lots of slides, pleasant & helpful staff... brilliant!
Booked in advance, this workout well however, the queue was still quite big and only one member of staff on the counter, this took some time.
The waterpark was fantastic, we bought the 'hyperzone' top up that allowed full and unlimited access to all the slides. I assumed that the queues would be massive but the opposite was true, very little time in queues which meant more ride time. I expected to be in there for up to 3 hours; over 5 hours later we were getting ready to leave.
The only issue to report, the temperature of the showers was low, not cold but low enough not to get that nice warm up after a swim.
Oh and this was on a Saturday as well...
Highly recommended!!!
Brilliant day out. Great for kids. Lots to do. Bit on the expensive side but expected at a major Blackpool attraction. Facilities are all good. Clean and well maintained. Staff all friendly and helpful. No on site parking, but there are car parks within a couple of minutes walk. Over all, great day out and I would recommend.
Awesome place the kids absolutely loved it didn't get on to many slides as the ques where horrendous a good 30 minutes wait for each slide we paid extra to go on the bigger slides and only managed to go on each slide once. We spent more time in the Rapids. Food was good and the wrist band with money loaded onto it was a good idea we spent all day here from 10AM till 4pm and it never seem to empty way to many people inside. We went on February half term on a Thursday
Very nice, very nice, good place, food is edible, don't drink the water.
Very expensive for 2 pools and you get charged even more if you want to do the slides and the food is ridiculously expensive
Plenty of changing and pretty clean. Can be huge queues and you have to pay more on top for the Hyper Zone rides
Absolutely brilliant water park - kids had a blast! It was reasonable prices too for a family location, no rip-off on the food drinks which is always nice when trying to feed two (fussy) eaters
Great day for all the family , however very expensive when inside , not to happy of having to pay full price to spectate when not swimming though
Lovely place, only problem was no one stuck to social distancing.
Great waterpark , friendly staff , good rides the food is a bit pricey but still a good way to spend a day
Sandcastle water park has excellent facilities with quiet room for people with disabilities and autism . Changing rooms are very good for family's and disabled people . The food is expensive and not very good but the overall very good .
It is a great water park not too busy and the food is at a reasonable price.
