I thought it was quite over priced for the amount of slides that you can go on unless you pay the additional fees for the more thrilling slides. However overall was a great fun day
Really really fun! Rides are super good and for what it is it is actually a really good price. Only issues were that it often smelled like urine when queuing up for slides and there were a few stains here and there. It could just do with a clean and perhaps closer toilets to the park rather than the ones in the changing rooms
Nice and clean very helpful staff but very expensive.im must say very clean
Great place! Don t listen to the hysterical reviews from people who haven t got a clue what they re on about. XD
Terrible 2 hours to get in but once in amazing spent 5 hours here.
It was good safe environment for the children they had so much fun I like going to this place I get soo excited
Brought my 11 and 9 year old boys for a day out. We easily spent 5 hours here, with enough time to try everything and have a bit of food. Food in the park was expensive, for what it was, but they have a captive audience so it's not too surprising.
Shout out to Mark in the changing rooms who was really helpful in finding me a larger locker.
Excellent, totally worth the time and and the money spend. A bit confusing on the Spa prices. Just get the cheapest one.
Think they let it get a bit to full so you have no chance of swimming just walking about dodging people
There is no spectator price! You pay the same to sit and watch as you do for going in the water...rip off! And then get told where you can and can't sit because you haven't bought food or drink...which is over priced....the chair police come round checking if you're still sat where you shouldn't be!
the biggest disappointment there is in Blackpool, organised chaos to get in, ridiculously over priced & then pandemonium at poolside. No health & safety whatsoever & you could very easily loose your children amongst the chaos. Pools & changing areas filthy & smelly. Be prepared to be ripped off & leave feeling like you need a good wash!!!
We had a great day here with our eight year old and our eighteen month old, spending the entire six hour opening time in the water park.
There was lots for us all to do - two adults and two children - and the time just flew by. It is well worth getting the Hyperzone wristband if your child is tall enough as our eight year old loved the bigger rides. Our toddler enjoyed the water pools, the river rapids and the tropical treehouse.
We took an inflatable baby float for her to sit in but they have rings free to use within the park as well as a fully stocked swim shop.
We enjoyed lunch at the snack bar where we found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and the food reasonably priced and tasty - the kids cleared their plates!
Overall, we had a wonderful day as we were lucky enough to visit when it wasn't too busy. The facilities were immaculate, the staff were lovely and the prices reasonable. A brilliant family day out.
Brilliant day out. It's a bit on the pricey side so definitely a holiday treat. We had a wheelchair user with us and we can't fault the staff. Really helpful and the water ambassadors are a great idea. Whisked through to a changing room and then taken to the pool. They were right there when we needed to get out as well
Bit pricy for what they offer. Good fun for kids. Over all 4-5 hours are enough to spend.
Loads of fun slides huge wave pool that goes of every 30 min amazing cafe with great deals friendly extremely helpful staff great getting changed facilities huge family locker rooms and changing rooms, drying machine, hair dryers etc
Brilliant went for the footie teams U13s Xmas treat really good fun and kids really enjoyed
Good day out especially if you can go when not to busy
Loved this place staff was amazing and helpful even though we made wrong booking. If i ever went back to blackpool i woule definitely recommend this place.
Edit**
This place enabled adults and known peadophiles to swim naked with children invited. This is not normal and a huge safeguarding issue. As well as being the most disturbing and disgusting thing I have seen. Big fail sandcastle why did you not make it 18+?? The ones who actually took their children are just as bad. The waterpark is aimed at children and families, I will never give my business again and would not recommend to any family.
We really enjoy water park... fun place will come again..
One thing you need is a pool for adults to dive in jump in and be deeper than 1.8
Had a great time with my girlfriend and our 2 year old. Loads to do and reasonable prices. We will return!
Great place I'd give it 99.99 percent clean place value for money you will end up spending about 4 hours in here because there's lots to do. Very autism friendly/disability friendly. The only reason I can not give it 100 percent is there was one member of staff who shouted at my wife OH OH OH my wife did turn round and ask are you addressing me? I'm not your Oh or a oh. Excuse me would be a better and more polite way to address someone. All because my wife went under the water to get some goggles my wife had dropped as she was getting off a slide apparently your not allowed to do this the lifeguard is supposed to get them if you do and as my wife politely told the lifeguard where are the signs to tell you this I know you are supposed to move from the end of the slide for safety reasons that's why the lifeguard at the top has a CCTV monitor to see its clear at the bottom to tell the next person to go and it's not like I was 5 minutes I just turned around and grabbed them so what are you supposed to do stop the ride so a lifeguard can grab a per of goggles hold everyone one up so he/she can do this? when the person getting off the slide can do it quicker
The variety of water slides is impressive. One of the best parks I have visited. Although I went there during the week I had to wait in a queue to the most of slides. Be ready for crowds during weekends/holidays.
Too busy during the school holidays, very expensive and lots of rude families
What can you say about this place but fun fun fun fun great places for all children adults included recommend this place to anyone It has a system where you wear a band and you can put credit on for drink and food for the indoor cafe an amazing water park worth every penny
Absolutely amazing day out. We have an autistic son, who can sometimes be challenging in places like this.. but I haven't seen him smile so much for a very long time. They also have sensory areas which are amazing for disabled children/adults. Very friendly, welcoming staff to help especially for the disabled. Would certainly visit again & again. well worth the money all day long
Great day of fun for all ages, the staff are friendly, and the food isn't half bad either, highly recommended for families of all ages.
Great indoor water park for kids but over crowded and a bit pricey.
Kids loved it! The staff are brilliant, very helpful and observant making sure everyone is safe. The only negative thing is, it was too busy. Maybe they should restrict numbers. We went on a Friday.
Great pool, has a changing place changing room but nowhere near it for PAs to get changed. Very expensive.
Absolutely disgusting. Children swimming naked with grown adults. Sickening. Should be closed down
Great day out for adults and children. Get there early because it can get busy quickly.
Great waterslides but gets very busy. A wonerful place to spend a few hours floating in other peoples urine
Had a great day out here, some great slides. Lost 1 star as was a little expensive and getting food took forever.
Stand out fun waterpark with some fabulous rides and plenty for the little ones.
This is a great day out. Got there at about 10:30am and never left until 5:00pm. There's about 18 attractions ranging from baby to adult and a water roller coaster. Canteen is in the swimming and you put your money onto the fob locker key More
Not worth the money in my opinion. Other than that, it's good.
Kids had a great day got there at 12 and left at 6 great day and kids are shattered excellent for older kids too great slides to keep them occupied .
Fantastic place. Kids love it, secretly the adults too. Lol. We go there all the time now. You miss out if you don't.
Expensive and very busy, even with COVID restrictions.
Not too family friendly, very hard to spend the day there with a baby, no bags allowed, so all the things you need for a little baby are not at your disposal
Great activity pool the kids loved it great day out.
With my son Andy Magee an grandchildren and the football team from widnes that my son sponsers
I have been there 8 years ago and it was a very very good day out plenty for everyone
Fantastic place especially for the children they loved it only down side was if we had of booked it online would of saved us 1hr of queuing so if you are going book the day before online as you can't book on the day
Really good selection of slides, fast and slow, and places to swim. Kids had a ball. Cafe got quite busy but plenty of space to sit and enjoy the day.
Water park with lots of slides. Not cheap - 16.50 pp + 6.50pp for the good rides. Kids (14,11,8) had a great time though . Min age/height for the fast slides is 8/1m20 so fairly inclusive. One downside was a long wait (~30 mins) to get 3 kids' meals, and this wasn't at peak time. Staff not great at stopping folk pushing in to the lines for the slides either so watch out for that.
HOT hot hot. Plenty of slides and amusements. Nice and clean
If going, get there really early, well before it opens. There were still big queues to get in when we left at about 14:00.
Had a fantastic time here. Had to drag the kids out after nearly 5 hours. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Plenty of lifeguards on duty. The rides were excellent, managed to get on everything without queueing for too long. Had a bite to eat in the cafe in the foyer which was lovely too. The staff there were very friendly and all of them had smiles on their faces which makes for a better experience in itself i always think. Will definately be back.
First time visit with our boys and it was a fantastic. The staff were lovely amd made the whole experience so much easier.
I do love the water park, the slides are great and eating next to the water then going back for a swim was great with one exception.
I visited on the 2nd of July and was going down one of the slides, I was lying on my back going at a fast speed, I then went around a bend and went sliding up the side as you would do but I slid up the side a bit far, so rather than sliding back down the side I fell straight back down and hurt my side. I was in a fair bit of pain but just assumed I pulled a muscle or bruised myself but the next day the pain intensified 10 folds to a stage where even breathing hurt badly.
After visiting my doctor it turns out I had fractured one of my ribs on the slide.
Wonderful place for a family day out.
We have been with our 3 year old and she loved it.
Plenty of activities and attractions, nice temperatures of water and the air, just right.
Cafe available with some variety of food although not very cheap.
Nicely organized and supervised.
We had pointed out that ine Mother had a child in normal nappy and it was act upon immediately.
Worth the price if you are going for minimum of half a day.
I would like to see it open longer than 5 or 6.
This place is just fun, fun, fun! My 8 and 4 year olds spent nearly 3 hours here. Clean, safe and well organised. Loved it!
Kids disappointed, not allowed to go on bigger slide.far to expensive.
Was good when finally got in ha,waited in que for 2 hours which was ridiculous
Amazing day out for my little brothers Birthday, highly reccommend upgrading to the better rides as they are definitely worth it
Very very expensive for what you get and no matter when you go it's always far to busy and you can't hardly get on the rides without an hour queue.
What a place!! Wow. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out. The kids couldn't believe their eyes that a place like this even exsited. This has got to be up there in our top 5 family days out. Worth every penny, lots of fantastic memories to cherish. Thank you Sandcastle.
