We have been taking our 3 and 5 year olds to the family friendly performances for the past year. They are great! They really try to engage children from 3 to 13. It's also a place to enjoy beautiful music with your children and not spend the entire time shushing your children, some noises are to be expected

Being Phillipino and of African decent I don't understand why they have such a condescending and unprofessional security director (short Caucasian) manage these events. Talks down to me and degrates me but allowes his "employees" to do pretty much nothing.

Not clear where to park. No recycling bins. Location of certain things not clearly marked. Security and ushers not very soft-spoken. Kind of rushed in and out. Hard to relax as seats are uncomfortable. Just so so.

Spectacular venue for small to mid size events. Great harmonics and a real nostalgic feal. Parking utilizes kiosks at $25.00 a pop accross the street from the theater. If you do your homework more economical parking surely could be found.

As I walked by the outside of the Copley Symphony Hall, watching all the distinguished people mingle with one another, I felt so out of place.I tried to picture them on a planet within the SI-FI movie, Star Wars yet, it was all just a dream.
I've seen many symphonies however, all of them were televised and music can evoke sorts of psychological emotions within the human mind. It can hypnotize, mesmerize, or send you to other worlds that are stranger than reality.
I've always been on the outside looking in and although I've never really had the money to afford a ticket, let alone the type of clothing that one must wear to even make it through the doors of Copley Symphony Hall, I'm at the age where, even if I did, I'd doubt that I could feel very comfortable, nor would I ever be accepted.
I've seen several operas at the Civic Center and a few live performances (plays) at the Old Globe and they were fascinating to watch however, I just couldn't see spending all that money on something like that, when I can see a good SI-FI movie for only $7.

Attended Midori's performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with the SD Symphony last night, April 1. Seated in the third row, I heard and saw the magnificent interaction between the orchestra and Midori. To complete a memorable evening of music, there was a warm, music sharing Q and A between Midori and the audience. Couldn't get better.
Thank you, San Diego Symphony.

Noel Noel rocks. Loved all the songs, the program moved very fast and no down time. Would be nice if the concert started earlier so I can get dinner after. Concert finished at 10pm and it was already 1030pm when I got home, so ended up having McDonald's for dinner instead, which was still awesome! I am definitely back next year wearing my ugly sweater. See you next year!

This place is What you would expect for a proper music and performance venue. Decent acoustics and good view. Well designed over all. Way way better than the horibble sports stadium type venues often used for performing arts.

Beautiful 1920's building. Saw Back to the Future with the San Diego Symphony. Really cool experience, highly recommend seeing a movie with the score done live. Alan Sylvestri was there to talk with the audience with composer David Newman
