Outstanding architecture. Great acoustics. Seats might benefit from more care but that's not a deterrent.

I only have a great time at the symphony! Tickets are usually quite affordable ($35) for solid seats. Overall, the venue is excellent for experiencing the high quality music they play. Don t be intimidated by your idea of the symphony and come enjoy something different :)

Saw a concert in this beautiful hall built in 1929. First time visiting and the architecture is stunning inside. I wish the band did not have the speakers so loud since the words blended many times. Seating is arranged good. The step arrangement was ackward. They do not have lights showing where to step so you must be cautious. I saw 2 people fall with their alcoholic beverages and popcorn. Stairs are carpeted so that gave them padding. Liked the clean modern restrooms (many stalls). Took the $25 valet parking since it was convenient. There is a parking structure next door for $10 but to many levels to get where you need to go. Staff was extremely courteous and their dress attire made me feel like I was attending a high end gala. There is no dress code for customers BUT if you decide to dress it up you will NOT feel out of place. Personally, the few folks wearing jeans and shorts looked out of place. I will rate this a 4 ONLY because of the stairs.

Experiencing music live is a unique and unbeatable experience and the San Diego Symphony delivers a varied and high quality repertoire.

The seats are nice and cozy. The decor is beautiful and exquisite. Music sounds great! I love it here.

I do love classical music and found the violin contemporary music quite interesting.

Came to see some of our favorite artists oat a rock performance. My wife and I were harassed by the staff for filming a short video with our cell phones. This isn t the 1980s, people can record a song from artists these days with there phone. If this is a rule please post it for future reference.

Copely Hall is beautiful. Parking anywhere downtown is a chore, so I suggest public transportation or ride share.

What an awesome Season Opener for the #SanDiegoSymphony. The Musical Director/Conductor, Rafael Payare, is masterful! He has conducted at some of the World's best known Symphonies, Vienna, Belfast, etc. Welcome to San Diego; we are blessed to have you here!

I just saw the Noel Noel show and IWAS BLOWN AWAY! Easily one of the best shows I ve ever seen. The music was stunning, the conductor, the lead singer, the choir. I can t rave enough. The program was Broadway worthy.

As for the theater itself, it s gorgeous! Stunning and beautiful. Do not miss out on seeing a show at this venue. Worth the trip!

We watched the Manhattan Transfer and the performance and venue were great. However, the staff was so strick and annoying. My wife was just checking her phone and they came to her and scolded her. They need to know how to better treat their customers.

I was there for an orchestral and choral rehearsal. Acoustics on stage are excellent.

At Jill Scott concert tonight, August 15, 2017. Been to many of her concerts, but tonight at the Copley, the sound is absolutely horrible. Thrilled to see her, but really, it is not a good night.

Although this is a beautiful venue and acoustically sound, save it for the symphony only. It is not setup or managed in a way that allows it to be current and enjoyable for other types of shows. Saw Bonnie Raitt last night. Would have been a great show if it weren't for the ushers constantly stalking the crowd. Glaring and jumping into the aisles the moment anyone dared look at their phone. God forbid fans attempt to stand and dance during a great get out of your seat type of song (Burning Down the House). The usher's constant behavior was not only irritating and distracting to the audience, it hurt the artist, especially the warm up act Maia Sharp. For every one person they stopped from sharing their experience, the exposure was muted exponentially. I don't drink but was appalled at the size of the drink line. Restroom line not much better. It's really too bad as this is a beautiful venue with so much potential for an awesome fan experience. Loosen up a little Copley... move into the future just a bit.

The Mahler's lieder was a highlight with a singer who could hit notes with a sweet entry and beautiful clear sound. The Eroica was the best of 100xs I've heard it. The new director is going to make this orchestra internationally well respected.

What an amazing location! If you've never been to an event here, this is a must go spot in San Diego!

First time going to the symphony and it was a blast. It is a unique way to spend an evening or a weekend day. I will definitely be going back.

My soon and I went on a field trip today. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I have tickets for the jazz series this season. Each of the programs so far has been excellent. There was one featuring music of Ella Fitzgerald with up and coming young singers as well as a singer and some musicians who had worked with her. There was a whole series within the series about rhythm, with a cross-border performance that was wonderful. There was also a symphony performance with almost ALL percussion instruments from many countries and cultures. This was one of my all time favorite evenings ever! There is a wide variety of music presented at the Symphony Hall downtown and seats range in price, but are very reasonable. There is nothing more uplifting than a live orchestra playing beautiful music.

Beautiful place but $4.00 for a small coffee is outrageous!

It was my first time to a Symphony and I was so excited. It was awesome.

We visited summer nights at the bayside last year and it was very well organised. There were free bus services put on for the public. The food was nice. The seating was comfortable for sitting for a few hours. I liked the fireworks finale.

It looks like a hotel or business outside but inside it is beautiful. Saw John Williams here and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

We had a great time. The facility was very nice. We saw Tim Allen. That was a great show.

Thank you to the very patient and hard working people at the ticket office. My friend and I had to change our seats 4 times due to other people wanting to go with us. They were friendly and accommodating. The show last night was great!!!

Exceptional orchestra. Such a pleasure to attend the magnificent San Diego symphony.

Family concert series is awesome! The whole family loved it.

The CYO performance was amazing. Very talented kids.

The concert was packed. There was a standing ovation. The building seems to be around 100 years old and the theatre was exquisite. The ushers were very helpful.

Beautiful place and it never gets old. The building is beautiful in the inside and comfortable.

This is a gorgeous theater, great views from every seat. The staff is very kind and helpful. Centrally located in downtown San Diego, easy to get to. Valet parking is available. They also host rock concerts here, and film screenings accompanied by the symphony or organ. I heard of their events through XLNC1 radio station and have enjoyed all of the ones I've attended. If you are a classical music aficionado, or love watching or orchestras play live music to a film, you'll fall head over heals for this venue.

Very outdated squicky chairs. And parking -$12 during the performance! Are you serious?

Great place to see a symphony, you can drink wine at the breaks.

This is a pleasure not only on the ears... but on the eyes as well. Beautiful music and beautiful venue, with awesome people there for your every need!

Wide variety of programs. Get there very early for adequate parking.

The San Diego Symphony is a good one and Copley Hall has great sound and decent seating. Always an enjoyable experience.

My husband and I went to see one of our favorite bands at this venue that we waited for months to see. The attendants bothered us a few times about petty things! We weren t even allowed to take pictures or make small clips of our favorite band with out them coming and telling us not to. I was even afraid to clap or woo to loud, shushing my husband afraid that the attendants might come tell us not to. It put a real damper on the show for my husband and I. I feel they need to lighten up a little. We were not making any disturbances to the event whatsoever. We will never be back at this venue. Too up tight. After all, this was a rock n roll concert! I doubt they d let anyone even get out of their seats and enchore!

The San Diego symphony always puts on an amazing performance. I've enjoyed every event I've been to. The Symphony can also get a bit creative with their events, which in this day and age I think is a great idea.

Copley is a gorgeous Symphony Hall. A lot of detail. Always a great night out.

Saw Morrisey here.. even though he was mobbed and had to end the show early, it was still a great show.

The very artistic atmosphere of the music performance center is very historic. Friends who like architecture and music are very worthy of your visit. Wonderful music, famous pianist, can hear their outstanding works here.
