Such a nice hotel. From the staff to the rooms, everything was great. Had a little hiccup with the room selection when we arrived but the front desk staff made the correction and gave us an unbelievable room. Customer satisfaction is definately a top priority. The amenities on site are also great, good gym, restaurants, Starbucks and 24 hour snack/food store. Also right on the boardwalk/water front with shopping and more restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
Very nice amenities, courteous staff, great location
Great location, nice pool, and friendly staff. We had a great time.
Mostly fantastic, great staff and attentive service. Worst banquet food EVER!!
It's at a great location, rooms and views are awesome!
The Marriott Marquis and Marina is my favorite hotel to stay at in San Diego because of their pool. The rooms are tiny but clean and the hotel is within walking distance to gaslamp.
Very nice space. Drinks were obscenely expensive though.
I had to wait in line 20 minutes to check-in. I've never had to wait anything like that at any other hotel. The hotel staff didn't seem very concerned about the inconvenience to their customers.
Professional and attentive staff saw to our every need in a massive yet comfortable space. AND the food was awesome
The Marriott Marquis is a great location on the marina. Drinks at the Marina kitchen is a fun place to hang out and people watch.
I have no complaints about this hotel. I had a wonderful, comfortable stay!
Beautiful views and spacious rooms with very nicely updated amenities. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back!
Perfect location. Excellent staff. Rooms were great. Pool allows a great view.
Nice overall hotel great beds, showers, and a beautiful view of the bay, also amazing food choices downstairs
I had an amazing experience visiting this hotel and everyone I encountered was very pleasant.
This is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and lots of amenities. The views of the marina and harbor are gorgeous. The meeting rooms and banquet halls are comfortable and well situated to the needs of the hosts as well. This hotel is within walking distance of several of San Diego s tourist areas as well.
Excellent hotel It has a very well equipped gym. Good exterior area. And it has a marina to dock your private yacht or boat. The high floors offer good views.
Clean, good customer service, ready to find and get to.
Great hotel with relaxing pool and bar area outside. Several restaurants onsite with proximity to the seaport village and waterfront trail.
This is a must. If you are in San Diego, spend at least one night here. Its kind of pricey, but well worth it
Perfect Location, Spectacular Views
I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina for a work conference. The hotel was chosen by the vendor putting on the conference but it was definitely a great choice. It is located right downtown, minutes walking distance from the Gas Lamp Quarter and directly on the waterfront.
Check-In: The staff was very professional, helpful and courteous - checking in was a pleasure.
Rooms: I had a room with a half bay view, half city view (best of both worlds) The morning view was great looking over the bay and the night view of the city lights fantastic. The rooms looked new and clean and the bed put me to sleep in under 3 minutes. One neat thing about this hotel is each room has hookups connecting your laptop, tablet, game console or other device to the flat panel TV easily.
Dining: We ate one night at the Marina Kitchen inside the hotel - the tenderloin was very delicious and of course - tender. The wine was also very good.
Amenities - I was able to take advantage of the fitness facility a couple times during our stay. It is a well equipped gym with everything you need for a good workout. It was a bit cool in San Diego so we didn't go in the pool but It looked inviting nonetheless in it's tropical setting at the back of the hotel.
Must Do's:
Rent a bike (back of hotel) and tour the waterfront and other parts of the city.
Walk the waterfront, check out Seaport village and the USS Midway
Walk to the Gas Lamp Quarter do some shopping and try out some of the great open air restaurants along 4th and 5th avenues
Rent a car for the day (really cheap) - they have a Hertz desk right at the hotel
Don't:
Park your car at the hotel if you don't have to - it's $35 / day!
Already booked our week vacation here! It's been a beautiful place to spend family time and create great memories Fourth time going , wouldn't go anywhere else
One of the premier hotels in San Diego. Daily resort fee gives some good perks, but I wish bike/kayak rentals were longer than an hour. Other hotels I've been to dont limit your time. Rooms are very nice and there are good restaurants on location. Everything here is very nice and you'll pay to get it. Self parking and valet are available and there is a tram stop just across the street. If you have an event at the convention center, this is the place to stay
This is a fantastic hotel with great views and access to the convention center.
we were there for a dinner event and the hotel was beautiful and the food delicious
Beautiful hotel in the best location on San Diego Bay. The great front desk staff was able to get me in my room early, which gave me the time to explore a lttle.
My family enjoyed a very lovely stay here last weekend. The amenities were all in good working order, the staff was sweet, polite and professional. We would certainly visit again and stay here.
Hotel is under construction and very loud! They are adding a new building near the water.... not relaxing! They will be completed in June.
Beautiful locations and very kind and helpful staff.
Not bad. Wish there were better more scenic views from the rooms. A walk away from downtown. Which is neat if you wanna browse and walk around a little. Shopping mall near by really walking distance ..if you happen to forget to pack something.
Facilities at the hotel are great, but checkout process took a very long time. Views from the rooms are pretty good, did not get a chance to try anything from the bar or restaurants so no comments on that.
During Comic Con on the last day they use a main hall to get to Nintendo and other events for the suitcases they are leaving. They have to do and own room for that
Beautiful location, although parking was a little bit confusing and having been a guest at an already expensive hotel, overnight parking shouldn't be $40 per car. After going to the gaslamp for drinks I went back to my car in the Marriott parking area to grab a bag of belongings before heading upstairs, and a security guard was right near by and asked if everything was okay. It felt nice knowing the security is on top of it in case anything unsafe happens in the garage. Our room was beautiful and overlooked the city skyline. Beds were soft, room was immpecably clean.
Very good hotel. The scenery, location and service are all good.
Usually Over crowded, I checked in at 11 but they give room only after 3. This is as per there guidelines but I got my room at 5 pm. 6 hours of wait time.
You can get away with the wait time if you are alone and it s your buffer day but if you are in rush, this is not the place. You will be screwed.
Located next to the convention center. Front desk very helpful.
Good position, room not so big for 4 people because they gave to us one queen size bed and one sofabed too small for 2. Anyway affordable price and good the quality of the service.
Good location.
Double beds means FULL Size (to Marriott) , not Queen (like the rest of the hotel industry). Valet is $50/night, self parking $35/night. $30/night Destination fee.
Not worth the money for my family and I.
Hyatt here we come!!!
Rooms are nice, has a small fridge. They have pool side service and a Starbucks onsite.
Best outdoor pool area in Gaslamp. Its enclosed and very spacious. Great for kids and the family!
Beautiful property, clean rooms, great staff, and I can see 2 aircraft carriers from my room!
Very nice, great views from the rooms, excellent service.
Beautiful!! Get a room with a harbor view. Very romantic.
The hotel was located convenient area in downtown. The views from the hotel was nice and they also had a really nice pool. One thing that bothered me was that they charge you for in room WiFi. They did have public WiFi in lobby area but it was a bit slow.
Highly recommend great location on marina. Close to shopping convention center gaslamp. We really didnt need a car. Resort feel. Amazing heated pool. Fire pits loved it
Wonderful hotel. High Holidays services held in luxury.
