It is an impressive place. Good attention and wonderful offers. In addition to the beauty and majestic service.
Conference room was nice. Would recommend a directory for every venue available in which tower.
Great time at the pool. Had drinks. Parking is expensive.
Great place affordable rates. House keeping very good. WiFi is not free is ridiculous. Especially for business travelers
Great updated rooms and good location near Gaslamp on marina. Limited in room dining options.
the hotel is extremely clean the staff is very friendly very helpful the layout is great sometimes as a little congestion at the elevators when there's big conventions but other than that this is a great place to stay and the location is to die for
Great hotel in one of the best locations. Be aware parking was $35 a night during time of review. Parking was either in the structure of outside in the marina area. Starbucks is located inside along with a very good Cafe called the Exchange that was 24 hours.
Great time having our meeting here. Top notch staff.
Friends stay regularly, we just cost. But the pool and pool bar are awesome!
Hotel with beautiful view of Marina. Had no problem with staff or service. Tequila Bar and Grille is fun place which is by pool side. They serve killer Margaritas and pretty good Mexican food.
I booked a room here for 5 nights and at the time of booking on July 6, 2017, I was given the "government/military" rate of $149.00 per night. Today, the day before I am to fly out there and check-in, I get a call that they evidently made a mistake because they don't recognize retired military, just active duty. My husband retired after 25 years in the Air Force as a CMSgt. Despite his sacrifices for all of us, Marriott does not recognize that? This will be my last stay at Marriott if this is how they treat their veterans. Unfortunately, we must continue with our trip but knowing it will cost us $600 more than was quoted to us more than 2 months ago. Poor customer service.
The restaurant was very nice. Had a view of the sunset.
I enjoyed attending a meeting the new section of this property, Pacific Ballroom.
Outstanding hotel. Beautiful views of the harbor, Coronado, and the resort. Staff is attentive and extremely helpful. Hope to stay here again soon.
The bed was the best part: amazingly comfortable and so big. The food was good but very pricey. Everything looked really nice and the staff were very friendly. Would stay again.
This is a huge hotel I was here for a massive training conference. The rooms are nice and it is right on the bay with beautiful views.
The location is close to many attractions and restaurants which makes it more enjoyable and the service was very good as well.
Top notch hotel, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, gorgeous view overlooking the marina, quick access to the boardwalk for a stroll. So much to offer, so little time! The weather has been absolutely perfect for my stay, couldn't have asked for better. Several selections to eat local and close enough to the Gaslamp Quarter to be accessible to night life yet just far enough to enjoy the tranquility of the bay at night!
Me and my friends in our late twenty s we re looking for a nice hotel with a good pool. The hotel was lovely, had a Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina vibe to it!
Very clean nice friendly staff. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Nice modern styling. Spacious facilities. Noise level in the public areas was uncomfortable. Convenient to Gaslamp district. Plenty of sights within walking distance.
Incredible hotel with a view that makes you happy to wake up and look through the window.
We were very pleased with our stay. We had a beautiful view of the bay from our room. Our room was comfortable and clean. They had live music at the bar that we enjoyed at night before bed. Overall, a cozy and beautiful place to stay in San Diego.
This place was overpriced. Expect to pay for parking if bringing a personal vehicle. When registering, I needed to use the restroom and the hotep clerk directed me to a locked restroom twice before asking me, "Are you even a guest here?" On checking in, the clerk also forgot to mention that my destination fee included free drinks, a kayak ride, bike ride, hotel wifi and a ten dollar allowance for convenience items. No matter though because trying to get drinks you will discover hour limits, trying to use the bike ride you will find its really just a discount, kayak operators may give you a hard time and the allowamce is charged to your room and discounted later (wifi service is confusing but it worked out to be complimentary). The 24th floor has a nice private lounge but for members only. The pool area is beautiful, the room view was amazing, the room is clean and some of the staff are extremely polite.
Beautiful hotel!! Me and some co-workers stayed here last week on a work trip and we loved that they also give a $10 credit to starbucks! The gym is nice and clean and the rooms with balconies have an awesome view of the both the marina and the city!
Nice location near gaslamp quarter and convention center. Great setting to hold conference events inside the hotel, and plenty of choices of activities both within and behind the hotel itself (eg boardwalk). Highly recommended for professional and social events.
An ideal place to stay when visiting San Diego. Walkable distance to the beaches too!
Great customer service. Wonderfully located. Only drawback was the price of parking.
I enjoyed my business lunch at the Marriott Marquis. Food and service are excellent and the location is wonderfully by the San Diego Seaside!
Easily accessible walking distance to the convention center has its own Starbucks. enough said
Splendid views, well-defined and inviting property make this a delightful setting by the marina.
I ve stayed here a few times over the years and I will say that the experience is so much more enjoyable with status. Getting upgraded to a better room (location on the property and room amenities) is worth it at this property.
Excellent location for a hotel, right next to the water, a walk to the convention center, plenty of things yo do within walking distance. The entry is beautiful with its gardens and pools that travel through to the back. The swimming area is like being in a tropical paradise with its forest effect and water everywhere. The rooms are nice, have good views, and roomy accommodations. Customer service was excellent and very informative on local events and attractions.
Love this place. All of it is great and it sits in a perfect place downtown. Been there a bunch.
Amazing hotel! Great location with wonderful ambience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Corner king room with wraparound views of the bay/bridge is the way to go. Highly recommended!
The hotel lobby area and eating spots are great. The only thing is the weekend might have some kind of convention. Try weekdays cheaper and quite.the only problem is the valet service, I waited almost 20 minutes for my car and the couldn't tell me where it was. No apologies after all that. I guess they do it all the time, ???
Great location and room. Comfy, clean, and relatively quiet in the hotel. You can hear noise from the street (e.g., car horns, railroad crossing dings). Easy to walk to restaurants in the Gas Lamp and Sea Port Village.
I like this hotel. The rooms are nice. The restaurants and bars at the pool are nice.
Great location, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and friendly service. I look forward to visiting this hotel again. I attended an event at the convention center and this location was awesome.
Unimpressive. The view was the highlight of the hotel and the windows were so dirty it was hard to enjoy. WiFi comes at an additional cost. The customer service was good but the hotel facilities were very basic.
Great location. I always visit on Comic-Con, it's clean and the ballrooms and meeting rooms are nice.
Excellent all around. Quiet, great view, good location to conference center. Mega comfortable beds. Nice staff. Would stay again but a bit expensive!
Nice location, rooms need to be cleaned better. Pot smoking seems to run rampant around the hotel. It is San Diego I guess
I was only there to see the property it was nice and the ballroom is awesome.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodations are comfortable and the view of Coronado Island is incredible.
Nice pool but the Exchange food place was super slow for a burger
Breakfast buffet was great! My Server Oscar attentive and anticipated my needs, great selection even had chicken gyoza and kimchi for the Asian demographic.
The service was awesome, the rooms were plentiful in space I would definitely recommend this location to any one of my friends or any person choosing to stay at this specific location
Nice hotel, clean rooms, could use bigger TV's at the bar.
Amazing hotel! Great location, modern and clean rooms, wonderful amenities nearby
No complaints - enjoyed small talk with aerospace event attendees. We switched hotels after we saw our room at the previous place. Much happier at the Marriott.
Beautiful hotel very accommodating with beautiful views of both the city and the marina. Always need to have a feather for your room and they have an entire floor set aside for people with allergies. It's my favorite hotel to stay in San Diego which is fairly often
Great location by the Gas Lamp district, excellent resort by the harbor with walking trails, parks, massive swimming pools and tones of activities going on all day long
Very nice location. Great service and food for convention.
The pool is really amazing and the hotel gives me amazing ammeneties.
Everyone we encountered on the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to walking around town and we enjoyed our stay.
Staycationed here for our 1st wedding anniversary. The front desk was super helpful when it was realized that the booking service we used booked us at the wrong Marriott. They quickly found us a room with one of the best views and our stay could not have been any better. We had drinks and appetizers at the pool bar which had a laid back feel that we like. We got back from dinner to get a pleasant surprise fireworks display from the summer pops concert that had just ended. Because of our awesome view we have prime front and center viewing of the fireworks show. Thank you Marriott for making our 1st anniversary a great one!
Hotel and pool are excellent. Steve in the concierge lounge is second to none. A true asset to this hotel.
It was a good over-night stay. Good rooms, wheelchair accessible, lots to do, convenient all around. The service was good, helpful staff, good restaurants. I recommend this hotel especially when you are meeting your Cruise ship :)
Friendly smiling staff and great customer service right off the bat. The decor is fantastic, felt like I was walking through a museum at times. Perfect location for touring Downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp, walking distance to Sea Port Village and the Embarcadero there is so much to see and do and easy access to public transportation. Our room was very luxurious and clean, with new and updated furnishings. The breakfast buffet is a must and I highly recommend the duck tacos from the poolside bar. There are so many food options in the hotel and with a Starbucks, fire pits at night and the lush pool area oasis I can't wait to go back just to enjoy the hotel!
Nice rooms with a great location on the waterfront.
I was at the Marriott Marquis for a business conference. Great facilities and the catered food was good too!
Excellent hotel located very close to the conference center.
Attended a wedding on the outdoor patio overlooking the water. Dinner was held inside a gorgeous tent and the food was delicious. The bartender was extremely gracious and pleasant.
Resort fees $35 daily, valet parking $55 daily. You can get a break on the hotel fee through hotwire but the $90 additional fees is crazy. We had three people and they gave us king with smallest uncomfortable hideabed I've ever seen.
One of my favorite Marriott hotels, up there with the JW in Hong Kong and Austin,TX.
