I am staying at the Marriott Marquis San Diego for a work event. The staff has been friendly, and very helpful. At any point that I have had a need they have come through to deliver. The only downside that I have seen is that the standard rooms tend to not be as clean as I typically like things. This is a major bummer as it is the only reason I wouldn't give them a higher rating.

My Wife and I came down to San Diego to visit my grandparents who were hosting a small family reunion. we have stayed at the marriott in different cities and haven't always had a good experience. This time we got a great deal on the room and the place was clean the food they offered to bring up to our room was delicious. the service for the whole week we stayed didn't withdraw but got better, greetings and cleaning the room every morning with no sas. the stay was lovely and relaxing
Great place! Very fancy and offers a variety of options to you no matter the subject. I have a gold membership which probably gives me special benefits, but I still definitely recommend it!
Stayed 2 nights while attending a work conference. Can't complain about anything. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Has a luxurious feel and beautiful views of the ocean and San Diego skyline. The employees are all very pleasant and professional.
The service at this place was fantastic and very professional. I attended a Christmas party here and would absolutely do it again if the chance is presented.
Location was right off of the trolley line. Beautiful facility. The conference area is centrally located. Nice views of the San Diego bay from the balcony area. Wish the maps of the area were better, as the route I took to the Torrey Pines room seems inefficient.
The place is beautiful, the location is beautiful and the food is wonderful. The only issue that I had was not matter what sign you put on the door to your room the cleaning staff would always come in anyway. Even if requested not to.
I was not a guest at the Marriott Hotel but wanted to put my 2 cents regarding customer service that I received while preparing for a venue at one of the restaurant.
I mean really? How could you guys not have more people like Jennifer. She is the definition of customer service and was awesome today.
I had asked helped from two other folks from the hotel and they looked at me like I wasn't important because I was there to set up an event and not hotel guest. Short answers w/an annoyance attitude.
Everything alright here. The hotel is very big with all that we need. The bed was comfortable. The pool is very large and there were many places to eat. The Tequila Bar has 60 different types of tequila!
The Marriott Marquis San Diego is a great venue for a company party or social gathering. With plenty of parking, it is fairly easy to access and has all the amenities party goers can ask for. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, pleasant and the ballrooms are well appointed and spacious.
I didn't actually stay here, but the location and accommodations looked nice, though luxurious. I didn't decide to get a room here because of the price point, and I can't comment on if it would have been worth it. The hotel had very nice conference rooms, however, with antiquated decorations and good sound quality.
Not really sure where to start. I d live at this place If I could. Amazing location, beautiful rooms most of which have a great view, and top notch amenities. Was heartbroken to leave after just three short nights. I will return if at all possible.
The hotel is right next to the Marina and we had an awesome view of the water from the reception area. The hotel is huge and we got lost looking for where the wedding reception area. The food was mostly except for the asparagus in my entre, which was over cooked. Overall we has a good experience.
Amazing hotel. Massive, lots of amenities, close to everything with great views and is located right in the Marina. Marriott even gave us a free room upgrade!
This is such a beautiful place! The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are very comfortable. The view of the harbour was spectacular. We really enjoyed the restaurants. Service was impeccable from our arrival to departure. The staff is very attentive and helpful. There is so much to see. This is a well appointed hotel in a wonderful location.
We spent several nights at the Marriot Marquis in January of 2016 and found this to be one of the best hotels we've stayed. My fiancee was attending a conference there so this was all pleasure for me! We arrived to find a long line at the check in. I was suprised how fast it went but they had EVERY station manned. We got up to the counter and they upgraded our room for free to a 16th floor balcony on the harbor side. Always ask and sometimes you can get a really good deal. The clerk was super friendly and offered insight on dining as well. Our room was great with a sitting area and balcony looking out over the pool area, marina and San Diego harbor. Just an amazing sight to be even above the seagulls lazily floating by. The bed and linens were top quality. The room did not have a tub but did have a walk in shower, separate dressing area and refrigerator. There was also a safe in the room. I was impressed with the service as the safe was locked when we arrived. I called and security was there in less than 3 minutes, unlocking the safe and wishing me a good stay. We did not order room service as there was an $8 delivery fee but we did visit their food court which had a UPS store , a gift shop and a Starbucks as well as their local snack bar and in house restaurant.
This is truly a great place to stay as its attached to the harbor and has a marina that rents boat slips as well. There's a really nice boardwalk that connects the harbor, marina, and seaport village all together.
Got stuck in a room with no view except of the terrace. However, a room was ready for me when I arrived and the place is neat and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I
This is very good spot to stay if you're in San Diego. You can get a good view of the harbor, go to restaurants and go for a good walk around the sea port village. I will always stay at Marriott!!
Beautiful place to stay, have banquets and all together just hang out. The upgraded our room wi our marriot reward points and what a fantastic biew. The bell service was quick like I requested. Very happy we stayed here for the 4th yr in a row
My wife and I stayed here and we loved it, they were professional, very clean, smelled great, and most of all we loved how they supported they LGBT community, absolutely awesome place, great location to everything.
Great place to stay as always. The views overlooking the bay from the north tower are beautiful. Main thing that made the stay was Alex at the front desk. He was amazing and quick at helping me book at room right on the spot.
the lobby and exterior of the building are nice, but the rooms themselves look like an old marriott (not a marquis). certainly in need of a full modern update. also, i cancelled another reservation there as i went to use points (a whopping 50k per night) and saw they still charge a "$40 resort/tax fee". when asked what was included a handful of the items are things that any bonvoy member would already receive (500 bonus points, free in-room wifi). that's comical they try and bundle that to justify their $40 per day charge. it's on the water but there's no beach, so whatever additional fee they are charging is completely bogus.
Parking is reasonable in pricing. The attendants are very friendly and helpful. Linens seem to be clean and an overall friendly clean environment. Happy place to visit and or stay. I do recommend. Will return. Thank you
The Marriott Marquis San Diego is a fabulous Wheel Source hotel in the wonderful location in a beautiful city. the accommodations are above average but could be better. From a technological standpoint it is lacking to a degree but otherwise very good.
Hotel his rather new and at a very good location. Could reach it by train from the airport without any problems. The lobby promises more than the rooms can actually hold, but still the rooms are good. What I find unacceptable that you have to pay for the PC workstations and for printing, despite the resort fee that they make you pay. Another good thing about the hotel is that there are restaurants shops and even a Starbucks cafe in the hotel building. Really cool!
Very beautiful views overlooking the ocean and downtown San Diego. Room was extremely clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Plenty to do in the lobby as well.
Great location, however everyone at he front desk was new and check in took roughly 30 minutes. They never once mentioned an additional $35 amenity fee per day or the $35 a day self parking fee. So whatever your room rate is, tack on another $70 per day.
Starting from the pamper that your eyes will be submitted with their almost Tuscan landscape .... the colors, decoration, textures, smells are all well thought through out the resort. The staff very polite and attentive. Addison restaurant is superb hands down an amazing experience in flavors and in service. The little coffee shop is fantastic and great for nibbles. Amaya restaurant is beautiful looking but the food its not quite there, there was a new chef so maybe she still finding her ground but was accruals disappointing food. But the view, the service and atmosphere was superb.
