Good location, closed to train and glass lamp. Clean, and good service.
Very nice hotel too bad the crowd spoils the beauty of the place
Rented a car at the hertz. Beautiful hotel, food smelled very good and menus looked attractive. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and there is lots of space. Gift shop is large but the pricing is outrageous.
Passed through for Comic Con. Great, friendly, spacious hotel that is not as snooty as its next door neighbor.
Came for a reception. Wonderful facility with great staff and meeting space.
Nice meeting facilities, but tricky to find your way in from the marina.
The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was great and I loved the walk-in shower. I was not as impressed with my view, and not getting to pick my room view. I also had problems at check in as someone else made my booking. The manager was able to help me out though.
A very nice business like Marriott on the bay and Marina in the most Choice section. It is not a place one would go with the family for a vacation, but really for seminars and things like that.
Definitely one of the best and most iconic hotels to stay at with in San Diego great location very convenient amazing service
Good service. The room was clean. They gave us a big room with a nice view.
stayed here for a couple of nights grrat location and the room and service TOP NOTCH
Went by there for work had a great time love the fountain
Very nice hotel with good view, I liked the balcony they had for the room.
Marriotts loyalty status no longer exists for anything. Platinum members do not get upgrades, free breakfast, cocktail vouchers or any other perks at this resort. If you were planning on using the concierge lounge on the weekend, they are closed...
Want a getaway to San Diego? Be expected to be in a very standard Marriott room, with a bay view ((maybe even a balcony, only if you re lucky)) - for me, I m currently in a very traditional room, no balcony or anything. Just checked in for a one day staycation and can not wait to get out of here. Bug bye $350. Ugh.
Oh! And there s a $30 resort fee, this includes a $10 voucher for food, and access to the gym..
Think your 75 nights or more a year are worth anything?! Think again at this resort.
From past experience the biggest perks of this hotel are: the pool, great breakfast ($30 per person) and the proximity to the convention center.
Love Marriott brand? Considering spending your Money at the renaissance or US grant instead? Over the whole brand like me? The Omni, Hyatt and Pendry are fantastic choices to choose from.
A high-class resort within walking distance to the San Diego Convention center, Seaport Village, and all that downtown San Diego has to offer. Ideal for business travel, but perfect for anyone seeking luxury, and convenience.
I attended a conference in the Marriott Marquis San Diego and I can only say that the service was excellent. They have really friendly staff that always try to be one step ahead of you with whatever you need. I will definitely come back.
Clean establishment with a polite staff, and talk about a room with a view. This made staying in downtown San Diego that much nicer. The hotel also has an incredible smell, and not one of those fabricated forced smells... It just smells so darn good.
I stayed here for a conference and overall it was average at best. The room was not special in any way. Our fridge had problems and we ran out of hot water several times (including the morning we were flying out which was great). They charged us $40 a night to park our car at our hotel and never mentioned a single thing about it. For such an expensive hotel, the fact that I paid $250 just to park my car and that no one would feel compelled to mention it is crazy, and not care when I called to ask about it. Normally I am not one to complain but this was pretty frustrating.
Great hotel on the marina. Easy access to the boardwalk. Clean rooms and great conference facilities.
Nice conference center hotel with spacious meeting rooms. Lobby is a bit small for the number of people going through it.
Super good breakfast buffet. Better than the breakfast buffet at the Ritz-Carlton in Maui and half the price. Esmeralda is a rockstar!!!! Rooms have great views, beds are very comfortable, hertz rental car is convenient but not well staffed. Front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant staff are all very courteous and accommodating. Shower in room is wonderful and high enough on the wall to accommodate 6ft 2in people. Will return if possible in the future....
Excellent view of the bay, good cuisine and better attention.
We ate at Roy's. It was delicious as usual. Drinks were strong and amazing as well
From the friendly service to the amenities. Worth it.
Amazing location. Great views. Grounds are just fabulous.
Everything well organized, with space to enjoy the events
The staff is great! Beds are very comfortable. The whole place is clean. Everything is stupid expensive but it is downtown San Diego. Still. $4 bottle of soda. $36 breakfast buffet. Not to mention CA charges a fee for everything. I just said screw it its only money then had a great time.
Went to a street food cinema event here. Pretty simple and lowkey, no problems. Had a good time
Great hotel for conferences and meetings. The meeting room area is impressive.
Lovely hotel, great location, and super friendly staff.
Great hotel. Lots of space and our convention was a great success
The service has been fantastic from the check in desk to room service. The rooms are modern and updated and it's overall a great place to stay.
Hotel staff is completely incompetent. I've been billed twice for the same room, and getting a refund is simply impossible. They make you call Marriott Business Services which is entirely disconnected from any hotel accounting departments as far as I can tell. Worst hotel experience I've ever had.
Marriott is one of the best hotel and nice pool. We had great time there for a week and loved the Taquila Bar...
This is a very nice hotel and resort situated in downtown San Diego on the waterfront. There are several restaurants and bars within the hotel. The hotel is very near a lot of shopping. Public transportation via a trolley system is within a very short walk. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable. Everything is very clean and upscale. This is definitely a very nice place to stay for a night or longer.
Great resort with an awesome location. Walking distance to gaslamp, light rail and city bikes across the street. Clean, comfortable rooms with a great staff. Really nice pool area for a downtown hotel too
Everything was good generally. It was annoying to pay to receive packages and they did mix up some of my rooms.
A beautiful property with excellent service. The food and drinks at the pool were plentiful and tasty. If you are not staying at the hotel but are a visitor, as I was, park next to the crab shack for cheap!!
Great customer service. Speedy check in. Clean facilities plus pool bar has tasty food plus good drinks! Picturesque views of marina. Highly recommended.
The valet is excellent! I hope to return to eat at the Roys again.
Amazing space and perfect rooms. Great way to spend my first trip to San Diego!
Rooms are great and spacious. Pool bar was awesome with fantastic lobster tacos!! Staff has been phenomenal. Would definitely stay again.
Great service all around. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was thorough. Banquet events has delicious food. The new Grand ballroom is beautiful.
Went to visit the spa. The experience was great and the valet staff were very friendly. Hotel inside was clean and busy.
I was very comfortable. I loved the place, the food, the pool, and the room
Nice view of docks, and a good place to lodge with family, but a little expensive
Great location (literally right next to the convention center), clean rooms, great view of the bay. Self parking is 35/day in and out.
This hotel has what might be the finest pool I can ever recall seeing.
right by giant ship. beautiful. especially in summer
