Best salon experience ever! Arlene was my stylist and gave me a deva cut. I am beyond happy with the results! She had so much knowledge about how to manage my long curly hair. I am so impressed! Everyone at the salon was so helpful and nice and truly took time to provide a high level of customer service. My curls look amazing! Arlene is a gem. My hair has never looked as good. The salon is 1hour and 30 minutes away and totally worth the trip.

I went to this salon on Friday May 15th. Made my appointment with Arlene co business owner of the salon for an Ouidad carve and slice hair cut. It was my first Ouidad hair cut I have gotten. I know the product line well since I have a friend that told me about Ouidad. I was really nervous about the drastic cut but I want a new enhanced me. So I went for it and let Arlene work her magic technique, she is certified with Ouidad. Once the process was completed I was shocked and didn't know what to do. Still happy it's what I wanted. So I went home got many compliments and took Arlene's tips and put them to work. Now I love my hair curly or style straight. I will definitely be returning to Salon Ciseaux. The cut was $85.00. I am a firm believer in you pay for what you get. I would not need another hair cut till September 2015.
I've been coming here since November 2017. I get my hair done with Allie every 4 to 6 weeks depending on my schedule. She is absolutely fabulous! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. She does a great job on my curly locks. I'll probably never let anyone else touch my hair.
I went yesterday for a keratin treatment and today my hair is extremely frizzy. Last time I got a keratin treatment I had purchased a Groupon for $85 and my hair looked amazing and lasted a long time without frizz. I don't believe the cost of almost $200 at Salon Ciseaux was worth it, I feel like I just had a bad blow-dry job from a cheap salon. I'm extremely sad and disappointed with how my hair turned out. The only reason I didn't give one star is because my stylist was really friendly and sweet. I won't be returning to the salon.

Arlene is the best at what she does. I went for my first appointment on June 18, 2016. I am a kinky-curly woman and visited the salon as a recommendation from a coworker.
I received a Ouidad cut and Ouidad Curl Immersion products were used. My hair had a total transformation - went from dry and hard to moisturized and soft. Arlene is awesome at what she does! The junior stylist who shampooed my hair was just as great and provided great insight about my hair as well.
I will definitely be going back for another hair service!
Had the greatest haircut! Sterling is awesome! She is super friendly & laid back and actually takes what you want into account and works her magic with your hair type & face structure. I got exactly what I wanted and then some. The ambiance of the salon is great. I will definitely be a returning client.

I have finally found my salon! As a Curly Sue , I ve always struggled with my haircut But a couple of weeks ago I went in for the first time, and Natalie did wonders for my hair. I can t remember the last time I loved my hair so much. A week after the appointment, Sterling gave me a follow up call And now I really know that this place is doing it ALL right. My only complaint is that my hair grows kind of slow and I have to wait another three months to go back!
Cathy is the only person I trust with my hair. She can do anything! Everyone at the salon is very knowledgeable and friendly. It s always a good time when I come here!

I went to Arlene for the first time about a month ago, and have been very happy since with the cut/shape she gave my hair and her product recommendations. She really took the time to explain what I need to do in order to keep my hair healthy, was patient when I asked her questions, and is very talented/experienced. If you're a "curly girl" she will get you right in every aspect of your hair's health! Also, I went to Ally to get my hair straightened, and she did an amazing job by getting it straight but also using minimal heat, so that my hair won't break and it'll keep its natural curl pattern.
The staff is amazing, very welcoming atmosphere. Arlene is very knowleadgable, patient and talented. Thank you for giving my princess an amazing makeover.
I live in very rural N.W. PA w/no Ouidad salons in sight, so get my 'curly hair cuts' when visiting family in Wash.DC area a few times a year. I've been satisfied but not thrilled. On a multi-stop vacation, running away from the horrid Northeast winter, I recently found myself lying on a Hawaii beach, with wild unruly curls whipping around my face and decided I needed to do SOMETHING to calm them down. Next stop was Winter Park, FL , so I researched Ouidad salons in that area, and found Salon Ciseaux. Upon touching down, --on a whim-- called short notice and lucked-out, landing an appt. w/Arlene. I had a very disappointing experience after a lot of research in places to cut curly hair. The receptionist said I didn't need the specialty curl cut they offer & a regular cut & style would be good. I was also recommended to book with an owner, made sense. Wrong, the cut I received was no better than the last time I visited a great clips 20 years ago & no more than a trim of the last layer. My stylist was double booked with no assistant & I had to sit beside the next client waiting, while the two of them talked. She did not offer to style my hair futher than asking if I wanted a braid which i said no & was walked directly to check out. While I wont say the hair cut it's self is bad, I can say I was much happier with the dry stringy year old hair cut I had going in than I have been since what I got finaly dried out...at home.
The salon is nice but I don't love getting my hair done somewhere that "educates" you on proper hair care the whole time. Aka tries to sell you their products. I haven't styled my hair yet since having it cut but I left the salon feeling so awful I didn't like the way she styled it at all and it feels like I got scalped. My hair is so short and exactly what I did not want going into it. It will take me a year to grow it back to the length it was. Hoping it looks better after I have a chance to style it myself but it's too short to wear curly now which was my goal in getting a trim that I'd be able to wear it curly thought the spring and summer. She kept saying she could teach me how to wear it curly, I've been wearing my hair curly for 30 years I got it! It actually looks much better when I do it myself lol
I need another excuse to cut my hair again because I just cannot get enough of Arlene and the entire staff at Salon Ciseaux! My stylist used the Ouidad technique to turn my 3 length, heat damaged hair into a curly little masterpiece! Thank you Arlene!
I started coming here years ago after a woman I knew always showed up with fabulous hair. She gave me Cathy's name, and I have been coming here ever since. I know many of her clients (some of whom I referred to her, including my mom and son), and we all love her. I have used a few of the other stylists from time to time. Orla also gives wonderful manicures, pedicures, and facials. I highly recommend Cathy, Orla, and the salon. Be sure to ask about earning points and other offers/deals.
I never been one who stays with a stylist more than twice, but I have been with Arlene now for over a year. I love the staff they are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I came to them over a year ago with severely damaged red hair that my last stylist gave me when I specifically said I want to be blonde. Arlene, has made me the blonde I want to be and my hair has never been as healthy as it is today.

Was a customer until recently. Came in before and they did a great job. came back to get the exact same thing done and my price had more than doubled. Apparently they had increased prices but I wasn't expecting it to be double what i paid last time. I was advised of this as i was leaving salon and was alarmed when i saw a $300+ bill. A co-owner was there and was extremely rude to me and my friend. will not be back
I have been seeing Arlene for almost 2 years now. She has transformed my long wavy/curly hair. I used to be so apprehensive doing my hair, but with her, I know she will always do a great job, so I just sit back and relax. The place is always welcoming and clean.

I experienced great service during my initial visit. However, my next two appointments were rushed and services were not fully completed. I am disappointed in the customer service and tact. The salon owner left a nasty voicemail arguing that her stylist could never make a mistake. I will NOT return and I suggest finding a salon that takes the time to learn about their new client, properly care for their clients hair and does not treat you like a number.

My first visit at Salon Ciseaux was yesterday and I have to say I was impressed! My normal salon was booked until September, so I surfed the web for a new place and came across this one. When showing up to my appointment I was instantly greeted with a warm welcome, which eased my nerves. The salon itself is beautiful, and extremely clean which is important. My stylist Nataly was amazing, and I highly recommend her! I could tell that she was passionate about her job, and she is extremely good at it as well. She was easygoing and kind, yet thorough in her work. Needless to say, I left the salon loving my "new do" and I will definitely be back!

I have been a customer since 'Salon Ciseaux' been open, almost 20 plus years, needless to say I'm not going anywhere.
I went in for a devacut but I also mentioned to Ali that I wanted bulk taken out and long layers and for there to be length in the back. Yes I understand that's not a devacut (now). She didn't inform me of that. Instead she gave me the devacut. She cut my hair short with no layers and she used thinning sheers in the back. You DON'T use thinning sheers on curly hair. This is a big no no. I needed bulk taken out in front. There is a specific way to get this look.
I showed no interest in product and she still picked it up and set it at the counter to be purchased. I didn't buy it. I don't appreciate the aggressive sales tactic. And to top it all off, when I went in again for a correction haircut, she abandoned me a few times and ignored me at certain points when I was talking. When I get my hair done I'm use to conversation. She said very few words. I have an appointment set for the 14th of December. I will be cancelling that and going to Aveda in a Mall where I'll ask for a curly hair specialist.

Arlene is amazing! I have long, curly, thick and slightly coarse hair and have always battled with trying to tame it. I received a Ouidad haircut and curly style. Arlene walked me through, step by step, on how to style my hair with my natural curls. She is definitely a curly hair expert. My hair looked amazing! Will definitely be back! :)

Salon Ciseaux is THE BEST salon for multi-ethic curly girls( im black and white with multiple curl patterns)!!! Arlene is amazing with my hair ( transforming even the heat damage parts that i caused over months of flar ironing into something presentable ), she'll answer all questions you may have to get to the best and healthy curls you can imagine. She also teaches how to properly manage your curls with the Ouidad method and recommend the best products for your hair. Also Natalie was great as well, assisting and making sure I was taken care of. My second time at the shop and i def will be returning to make sure my curls are managed by the best!!!
