The salon is nice but I don't love getting my hair...

The salon is nice but I don't love getting my hair done somewhere that "educates" you on proper hair care the whole time. Aka tries to sell you their products. I haven't styled my hair yet since having it cut but I left the salon feeling so awful I didn't like the way she styled it at all and it feels like I got scalped. My hair is so short and exactly what I did not want going into it. It will take me a year to grow it back to the length it was. Hoping it looks better after I have a chance to style it myself but it's too short to wear curly now which was my goal in getting a trim that I'd be able to wear it curly thought the spring and summer. She kept saying she could teach me how to wear it curly, I've been wearing my hair curly for 30 years I got it! It actually looks much better when I do it myself lol
