I was here recently with my wife, who was in the women's department. She went up to ask about an item that the store didn't have in her size. A black lady cut in front of her, and the cashier, who was also black, proceeded to wait on this lady, even though my wife had obviously been there first. (We are white.) The cashier was painstakingly polite to this lady. When they were finally done, and my wife, who had been waiting patiently, despite having been cut off, asked her question, the cashier was very cold to her to the point of rudeness, and curtly informed my wife that "if you don't see it on the rack, we're out of them." There are signs all over the section saying, "If you don't see it, ask us." Perhaps they should also say, "ask us--only if you're black." I very desperately don't want to be racist, but people like that Boston store cashier make it very difficult for me. I won't be back.----Oh, and when I tried to call, guess what? Boston Store "prefers not to make public" their 800 number. No wonder their business is so bad!

Great staff that goes out of their way to help customers and are very nice and respectful. I highly recommend this store. If I had to go to a Boston Store I would pick this one over the West Bend location.

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service.
Ordered glasses (optical department was awesome), but they need a direct line so customers can call in. ALSO make sure someone is there so when a new customer comes in to see why there is a delay in the glasses coming in. I have wasted so much time just trying to find someone in the store and get transfered when I have called in. I won't even go into the big sigh I got went I called back in and said the jewelry department cannot help me and then they hung up on me. I regret taking a chance on Boston Store for eyewear.

I've been going to Boston Store more than I ever did in past because of the deals. Many of the employees have been very rude and disrespectful. This really is just ridiculous. I guess they don't care anymore since they are going out of business although it has always been this way in my experience. This is probably why I used to avoid going there.

Love this place. They have good quality clothing that is fashionable and a great selection of shoes. The service is friendly and quick. I also like the houseware department located in the basement.

WARNING ,Dont buy anything from the store that is above like 30$ because you might just threw ur money out of the window.most of their merchandise especially the electronic ones are so old that they dont work.i bought a coffee machine that cost 60$ first day,it wasnt working, and i bought coffee pods for it that were too old and gets sticky and doesnt get coffee out, thats how old it was.they didnt take the coffee machine back, they kept saying it doesnt matter if it wasnt working.the manager of the manager told me and i quote "do you want to listen?!,its not our responsbility if it wasnt working" it was absurd the way they talk to a paying customer especially when they are in the wrong here .ill never buy anything there again.

How they got 3.6 stars or are still in business?? Recently moved in area, visited & decided to open a credit card. Read other posts & agree. A few nice associates, but far too many snooty rude people. They need to test their employees w/fake customers, shopping should be pleasant. Went early to get the quick cash which had many exclusions. Walked around each floor 4+times looking for associates, finally asked for manager & gave her the quick cash back. Told her whats the use of coming here if you have to search for someone to check you out. She said she could help us, but by then, we had enough and just wanted to leave. She said there was nothing she could do about the lack of employees and that upper management is useless in handling issues/staff. There were a lot of staff standing around/chatting, but when i started crossing the store to catch them, they would wander off. On 1 floor there was 1 staff member training another & had cash laid out and couldn't help anyone. On another floor, the one staff member was taking complaints from another customer and had a line. The top floor was completely empty until we caught one guy who called the manager for us. That store is very poorly run!

Hurry up and get off your butt! Boston Store is, almost, no longer and the deals are phenomenal! Most things are 80-95% off but watch the signs. you could find yourself deceived at the register. The men's department is getting sparse but there are many items people aren't thinking about this time of year. They had a ton of winter gear for athletics and dress. Lacking in jackets and coats the selection of accessories is good. Gloves, hats, thermals, scarves... lots of them waterproof. Nice selection of jeans, men's and women's, with all the best designer tags. A bunch of unique t-shirts and lightweight short sleeve casual shirts. Men's formalwear still has many choices of suits, dress shirts and ties. Ladies' shoes seemed pretty hopping, I don't know what the remaining options for sizes are. I did see a lot of bras and intimate wear passing over the scanners. Beautiful furniture... I saw an incredible leather couch originally priced at $3000 for only $999. Plenty of bedrooms but I'm not sure about mattresses. The fixtures are for sale also... in the hair salon the cutting chairs (avg. $1200 each) are going for $60 each. In the end my purchases came to $76.94, a savings of 205.53. Can't beat that!!!

I just finished reading the reviews most of which are very negative and those reviews are absolutely correct. I was in this store about 10 months ago to find some slippers. There was NOBODY around to help us. We had to help ourselves completely. I told my friend who was with me that I would never ever step foot in this store again. By the way, I grew up going to this store when it was a wonderful store with people working there who were not stupid, rude and nasty. And when there were actually people who WORKED in the store. Good example of how many brick and mortar stores have basically GONE TO HELL.

This place is an example of a business that should have died a long time ago but is just stubborn. It is so ridiculously overpriced it s insane. It always takes forever to talk to employee or pay for item. Will never come back, this is for people who like to spend 80$ in a toothbrush!

Okay, even though this Boston store was on a sale because they are closing down, the prices are still striking. Like, only go there if you are a windows shopper like me. There was a dress on sale for 25% off and it was still a whopping $120. That's because it was expensive to begin with, but still it was too expensive for me. The store is massive too, I don't know how they are going to sell everything.

Absolute worst experience at this Boston Store with an impatient and extremely rude sales women. I don't expect people to be full of joy all the time while at work, but for some reason this lady clearly thought she was better then me and didn't have time to answer my (1) question - just shows that there is lack of leadership and structure within the store's management. Luckily for me I found the exact same dress at Forever 21 for a fraction of the price.

Laugh, love, and cry just don't try and do it at this location in 3 months because the store is closing. One might be surprised how can such a wonderful place close down. Then one enters the bloated corpse of a Boston store which obviously died 20 years ago from relevance and has been rotting in front of our very eyes. But now someone has the decency to shovel the corpse into the dumpster. Au revoir and good day Bodton Store.

Boston Store has been our favorite place

are very sad that it will be no more.

Not a real close out sale. The prices were lower when Boston Store ran the store themselves. The company that is taking over the bankruptcy sale process as always has jacked up the prices and it's holding out for top dollars. Not a true going out of business sale.

We were shopping there at 8:40pm and every fitting room was baricaded off can a customer service representative named Dlsie very rudely and condescendingly said that was because they were closing and that she couldn't use the fitting room. No I only live 3 blocks from the mall and we are regulars here but I tell you I'm really going to have to seriously recommend people spend their money elsewhere

Boston Store operates bait and switch marketing models. After bombarding my email no less than 3 times with the same $50 off $100 purchase coupon after Christmas, we finally went in to see if we could get a good deal. Their coupons have so many exclusions that there is only about 5% of the store that is eligible for the coupon. Everything else is "yellow dot", "black dot", "incredible value", "super bonus buy", "door buster" or otherwise excluded (Ralph Lauren, toys, fine jewelry, fragrance etc.). We finally settled on a 4-pack of onesies and a couple ice scraper mitts that one associate told us were eligible purchases. Since we didn't meet the $100 for the coupon, I texted "SAVE" to a number posted on the racks for another text message coupon (that didn't indicate any exclusions). We walked to a register and were then told that our onesies were "incredible value" and the scraper mitts were "door busters" and not eligible for either coupons or any other additional discounts. Wonderful, so we wasted our two hours and walked away with two ice scraper mitts. What a crock - I won't be back except once a year for my kid's bubble jacket even though I live within walking distance. I also unsubscribed from all their email coupons. If you aren't going to honor your coupons stop flooding my inbox with them! I'd rather go to Kohl's or Gymboree because their coupons are storewide and I don't have to play the frustration guessing game of what is eligible and what's not.

Re: Boston Store Salon
I'll start by saying that I loathe talking on the phone. I called to ask some questions about the services provided by the salon, and I was greeted by a sweet sounding woman who politely endured my curiosity and indulged me my small-talk. All my questions were answered and she helped me immediately set an appointment.
