Recently, my wife and I purchased a new boat. After looking around the DFW area, we remembered Twin Coves from years ago.

Our BRAND NEW boat was our first boating experience. We relied on information furnished by the Twin Coves Manager. We were told our Slip would be ready July 1, 2021 and that our Lift would be available as soon as we put our boat in the water - July 1, 2021!

Well, the Slip was ready on July 1, 2021 but we had been told by the Manager NOTTO PLACE A BOAT IN THE WATER without having a Lift or it would "Stain". We believed what she had told us but believe we were only told that so we would rent a LIFT - which we did - ONLY THE LIFT Wasn't installed!

Once we placed our boat in the water, we took it to our slip and tied it up. We went to the manager's office and asked about the Lift. Prior to July 1, 2021, we were told that even if our lift wasn't available, she would have a slip with a lift available - THAT DIDN"T HAPPEN!

I asked the manager about the lift again and was told - it will be a couple of days due to the slip being new, there were electrical issues and the new section of the Marina had to be inspected again. Not sure why we were not told this in the beginning!

On July 5, we asked again about the LIFT as we didn't want our boat to be stained for sitting in the water too long. We were told that we should be OK for another couple of days. We again, inquired about the Lift on July 7th. We were then told our boat "Should Be OK FOR AT LEAST 10 DAYS" before anything would stain the boat!

On July 14, our Lift finally got installed. We raised the boat out of the water and our boat was not only stained - it was stained very bad! The Manager seemed to dismiss our frustration.

Not only did our boat get stained, we were without a Lift through July 14th - WAS TOLD WE WOULD RECEIVE A CREDIT - but to this day, after emailing several times, have received no credit (about $100)! We just received our statement for September and still NO CREDIT!

In addition to the above, the Manager was going to get a quote for them to "Power Wash" our boat as we were misled and told very bad (and probably untruthful - if not unethical) information.

BEWARE OF TWIN COVES MARINA - Very Bad Experience!

I typically don t post negative things, but I must warn everybody to stay away from Trade Winds Marina in Augusta GA! I have had nothing but negative experiences, from the management to the marina itself. Without having too much of a long winded comment, the marina is filthy, with spiderwebs and roofing that leaks constantly. Do not expect to sleep if there is even a slight amount of wind, as the slamming of the roofing tiles will keep you awake and even though you re under the cover (so you think, or pay for), your boat will still get dirty/wet (rusty rain). It is unfortunate that maintenance is lacking tremendously, but it would help if the management cared at all and would be even a tiny bit helpful. I score this location a two out of ten and I have stayed at over 10 different places in my years of boating. Good luck if you decide to disregard my intel, but you will see for yourself if you do

BEWARE!!!!! They literally sunk my boat and will NOT take any responsibility. I've had to hire a lawyer and I've still heard nothing. Ridiculous. I've been a member since 2012. Notice the lack of point-of-contact at corporate. This is seemingly to help dodge accountability and make the process more difficult.

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our experience with the three Safe Harbor marinas that we are familiar with (Scott's Landing at Lake Grapevine, Emerald Point at Lake Travis, and Highport at Lake Texoma) has been stellar in every instance. Amenities vary, but we have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and glad to make sure that our visit is a pleasant one.

Safe harbor Westport marina in Denver NC ripped a giant hole in our front cushion while dry storing our boat and is not taking responsibility for it. We've been loyal customers for going on 4 years now and have had other negative experiences with them also. Poorly managed and completely unprofessional. Beware.

I have rented seasonal dock space at Safe Harbor Cowessett (RI) for the past several years, very satisfied. However, I am--to the say the least---very disappointed in the lack of compassion from Safe Harbor Wickford (RI) regarding a situation that is preventing me from using my already-paid-up slip this summer. As I was sailing north to RI in late May, my rudder was damaged beyond repair (long story). I called SHW and told them I would be delayed, and I called several times with updates. One and a half months later, I am still waiting for a new rudder to be fabricate, and. the repair yard I'm in told me that it may take a few more months. I finally told SHW that I will probably not be able to get there at all, as my boat is still disabled and I cannot move her without a rudder, and I asked whether they would give me a (partial) refund of the 8 1/2 K I have already paid them for this slip. Anders was sympathetic, but Larry, who runs the show, was not. The contract stipulates that there are no refunds unless certain conditions are met, and I understand that they need to protect their interest, but I would expect some compassion given my situation over which I have no control. So meanwhile, I have not only lost 8 1/2 K, but I am also paying fees to the yard where I am stuck in North Carolina. SHW gets zero stars from me, although Google require me to post at least one star.

Safe Harbors is AWESOME. Awesome Membership Benefits & GREAT staff in Quincy including Tyler, Cole & Norman! They do a great job at all their marinas that we have frequented. I have no idea why anyone would give them a 1 star review. Any professional boater knows they provide top notch service. Could not ask for a better marina or staff.
