S.E. Needham Jewelers Review

Walked into S. E. Needams knowing nothing about rings. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised when it was all said and done.
I was lucky enough to be helped by Taylor Hansen. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Helped me understand the process and my different options. He worked with my schedule very well. I told him my price range, he found me the best bang for my buck and was never pushy along the way.
Needhams was my first stop. I shopped around at multiple different jewelry stores after my first visit (which they suggested I do). I Ended up going back to Needhams knowing they were the best choice. I felt I was being dealt with fairly, and honestly. There was no other store I visited that had the jewelry knowledge Needhams did.
The ring I purchased was in house custom made. They gave me a great price and a great warranty. Taylor kept in contact with me through the process, making sure every little detail was the way I wanted and that I was 100% satisfied. Dealing with him, he helped me feel like I was not just another $$, but a customer that mattered. Even after the purchase was made and he received his money, he still checks in every once in a while to hear about the proposal/wedding plans. When he very easily could have chalked it up as another sale and never looked back.
I am very pleased with my experience I had at S. E. Needhams Jewelers. Equally pleased with my experience with Taylor and appreciative of all the imformation, peace of mind, and help he provided me. I definitely recommend them, and will be back with any future jewelry needs.

Follow-up: My wife and I went into the store to have her regular ring inspection done. While my wife was working on that, I spoke with a salesman about some other jewelry. His first question was about my budget. Once he knew that, he showed me several beautiful options in my price range. This is the perfect example of their priority: the customer. They make each customer feel comfortable and confident in the jewelry they will purchase.

Every time I go in, I feel very comfortable asking questions. They answer with the heart of a teacher. The rings look beautiful when I get them back. They give a bid for the repair that has always been the actual cost when all is said and done. I'm a 2nd generation customer and I will encourage the tradition.

Just bought my fiancee's engagement ring here. They treated me very well and did a great job customizing her ring. They are a great family business and we got a good quality ring that we were both happy with at a fair price!

I have a Tissot my father bought me for my 2009 graduation and the people here still help me with battery replacements and searching for wristband replacements. Doesn't get better than this place.

I have had many pieces of jewelry from S.E. Needham Jewelers over the years. They are always great to work with and very knowledgeable. I can remember getting my ears pierced there in 1973 !

It was the best! Taylor Hansen helped me and my fiance and he was amazing and guided us through everything! I LOVE my ring and get complimented all the time on it! Great atmosphere and wonderful service with the most beautifully crafted jewelry.

We have loved working with Needhams for a long time now. Every employee we have talked to has been helpful & knowledgeable. We now live hours away and will always go back to them because of their incredible service and high quality work.

I got an engagement ring. It was beautiful and worth the money, but be very cautious. Do not choose Needham's if you are in a rush to get a ring. They told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks but it took 4 weeks. I finally talked to 2 people from there at different times about driving 2 hours to get there at a certain time and picking it up myself, but when I got there, the person with the key to the vault wasn't there and the trip was just a waste of time. While I was there, I asked them to make sure they send it to me, but I called them 3 days after that and they still hadn't done it, so I finally asked them to just overnight the ring and they tried to charge me $25. They have a lack of communication with each other, they have a lack of punctuality, and I felt like I was a fly buzzing around the worker's head that I was working with. He didn't seem too pleasant, although he was very professional in his manner. Two things they do have are professionalism and beautiful jewelry. I'll give them that.

SE Needhams is a great place to get a quality ring with some awesome warranties, but it has some cons also. I bought my diamond and a cheap band because I wanted to surprise my girlfriend and let her pick out the ring. When she came with me to pick out the ring they were very hesitant on showing us our options. It seemed like they were just wanting to push through a sale. When we picked a ring they told us that it would be 1-2 weeks before it was ready. They then wrote down that it would take 3 weeks on the receipt. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything I started calling trying to figure out where the ring was. After calling a couple times I was able to get ahold of the person who sold me the ring. They told me that it would be ready in a few days and that it should be here before the time they wrote down, and that was frusrsting because it was already late and it was 2 weeks past when he verbally told me it would be ready. I feel like a month is a long time for a girl to go without her ring especially when she was just barely engaged when everyone is really excited to see her ring, but then she has none. They also gave us a $25 voucher to fire house pizzeria. I didn't bother to check the expiration date and we ended up buying our meal. At the end our waitress came back and told us that it was expired. The voucher had expired 2 months before I even bought the ring. I also bought the voucher for the hotel and it doesn't save you as much money on a hotel as they make it seem. I saved maybe $50 on the hotel and $50 on sea world tickets. From their advertisement I thought I would be saving at least a couple hundred.

Awesome awesome people to work with! I m pretty picky and they nailed the ring I wanted to be made spot on! They were all super nice and friendly and if your wondering who to go to for you rings and jewelry go here!

I was very happy with my experience at SE Needham. They were very helpful to walk me through every step of designing or oi k the ring I wanted for my wife and took special interest in helping me find the diamond of best value. I and my wife were and are very pleased. We have been and still are well taken care of.

The people at S.E. Needham are always so friendly and helpful. Who can resist their chocolate fountain and treats? But, that's just an added bonus.

Went to pick them up today and I have to say that Sylvan (the son of Gene) treated my pearls as if they were worth a million bucks. Not only was there a large selection of rings, but Taylor Hansen made engagement ring shopping a breeze! He took the time to allow us to look close at all of the rings that caught our eye. He was able to answer all of our questions and never once did I feel pressured or like he was being pushy to get me to buy an expensive ring that was out of my budget. The experience at Needham Jewelers is great! They treat you fair and their selection is good. Customer service is excellent. Once in a while they can get a little overwhelmed at specific times of the year, but they take care of each customer as promptly as they can.

I have had my ring for 10 years, and have had it cleaned and inspected every 6 months. One day I looked down, and one of the 1/4 ct. diamonds was missing, with its prong broken off. I knew I was near the 6 -month mark, so I went into Needham's the very next day. They looked up my information and I had last had an inspection 6 months and 3 DAYS ago. I sheepishly asked if I got a discount on the repair for being only 3 days out of warranty. Oh, the agony! They said they would check with Mr. Needham. He said they would just replace the diamond for free! Oh, sweet relief! I was already a lifetime customer before this, so maybe now I will have to be a loyal customer in the afterlife as well. Great people! Also, I love their decor and antique jewelry.

I stopped in Needham's Jewelers with the intention of simply getting my finger sized. I had a ring style in mind I'd found online and planned to customize it, with that jeweler. It turned out that ring was in stock in a different metal, so I got to try it on.

It just so happened that Sylvan, who is the next generation owner of this incredible store, sat down with my mom (my fiance lives out of state so he wasn't with us) and me and we had a wonderful opportunity to learn about the properties of diamonds and see them up close. I've never done that before, and I loved it!

Based on the stones we saw, I was able to choose the qualities and style of he center stone. He also came up with a custom design for my ring, which he sent over two days later, and it turned out so beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the experience, and with the finished product. It's simple, elegant and customized!

S.E. Needham Jewelers is a fantastic store with helpful, kind, and, might I add, patient employees. When I went with my wife before we were married to look at engagement rings, they took the time to sit down with my wife and I and pull out every ring she even mentioned looked nice. It was quick, it was easy, and she gets compliments constantly for her ring and wedding band and the beautiful diamonds that came with. As far as price, I paid less for my wife's engagement ring and wedding band than my sister did for her one wedding ring. It's hard to beat their prices.

Always help me find what I need with great customer service. Bought a watch and my wife's engagement ring, not only were they really helpfull they make sire I keep loving it with cleanings and battery replacement. Love them!

My husband and I went to several places when we were trying to pick out engagement rings and SE Needhams was by far the best! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. SE Needhams has very affordable unique one of a kind rings. They also have one of the best warranty on rings that we could find. If you ever do have a problem they are very helpful. I had a diamond fall out once and they replaced it for free. I have had my ring for almost 2 years and have been very pleased thus far. I highly recommend buying from this jeweler :)

I had an amazing experience at S. E. Needhams. I came in and Alek helped us out right away. He asked us what we wanted and was able to guide us right to what we were looking for. The he SAVED MY LIFE...twice. My plans for the proposal changed all of the sudden. I called Alek and he was able to help me out and get the ring done in just a couple days, a huge favor I m sure. He made sure it was done so I could finally propose. Then, he worked hard to get the ring resized really fast a few weeks later (we had to get it done before a trip). All in all, I was VERY happy with my time at Needhams. I will recommend any friend or family member to go to Needhams for their needs!

I had the best experience with S.E. Needhams while shopping for an engagement ring. Joe Needham was extremely helpful and professional and helped me get exactly what I wanted. He showed me the diamonds with a magnifying glass so that I could personally inspect any imperfections. I ended up with a ring that was custom created as a fusion between two other rings in the store. It's been 2.5 years and I still get compliments on my ring from strangers. The staff here have never been pushy, only friendly and professional. The thing I love about Needham's is that they are true jewelers here, not jewelry retailers. I will say the watch dept needs to step it up though.

As a recent customer of S.E. Needhams I can honestly say they are the best in town. I previously went with my fiance and tried to purchase a ring from a private jeweler who claimed to make unique custom rings at a much affordable price. Of course being in college I jumped on board. To make the long story short, yes it sounded like we got a killer deal, but the ring after just 2 months started showing sings of cracks in the gold band and the prongs were becoming more lose. So we went and explored our options. Coming to S.E. Needhams, they looked at the ring and said, we'll get you something better for a way better price. They came through, the definitely know their customers and how to treat them and give them quality service. They got to their prestige by obviously being the best. And for those who are intimidated by this prestigious store, thinking that their prices are way high, please reconsider coming here. It was the best choice my fiance and I made. I wish we would of come here in the beginning.

My husband and I got our wedding rings here, and we love this place. They are very customizable with the rings, and they stayed within our price range. They are very friendly and easy to work with. You have to come in every 6 months to get a free ring inspection to be able to keep the warranty of your ring, which keeps the ring in good shape. They also offer free men's wedding bands or a discount if you want a different type. They also have us coupons to restaurants in the area.

This is a great little local store. I have had to take 2 different rings in for repair and both times they did amazing work. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, their store is clean and inviting and they take care of their customers.

the jewelry was nice but the staff was not. every time I have gone here the staff have been pushy and try to get you to spend more not find what is right for you. the staff have said that buying cheep will not help them so they try to get me to buy their more expensive jewelry.
