We thought we had a great experience when we first bought our ring but it only went downhill from there, I will never buy from Needams again. We purchased my ring on a pretty good sale and decided to get a custom band and to have the ring resized, we were told it would be ready in one week. The day it was suppose to be finished I called to see and was told it would be done early afternoon, when I called then again and they said it would be a couple more hours. When the couple hours were up I decided to just go in because I was leaving town that night and learned they had done absolutely nothing to it. They had molded the band and when I asked the cost it was around a grand and when I said we couldn t afford it and didn t want something that flashy the man I spoke with said, Well we practically gave you the ring. As if that was to justify the cost so they could compensate themselves. I told him we didn t want it and was able to squeeze the ring on and left.
When we purchased our ring we also paid the $50 for a giveaway to a cruise/trip which I m 99% sure was fraud. Once when we called we spoke with a very creepy man, the second time a woman and when we sent the information it was returned to us since the business did not exist where they said they did so we never got to use it.
The final straw was resizing the ring. Since they didn t do it at purchase I had called a few months later and they stated they were backed up for months so I decided to try another time. The next time was wary this year before we moved. I went in and spoke with the man, when we purchased our ring in 2016 we were told that the first ring size would be free, however he stated we would only receive 50% off and quoted around $30-$40. We couldn t do it right then as we were moving and expecting a baby so we put it off again. The last time I went in was in July of this year, the woman again stated that the 1st resize was free only up to the wedding. When I stated we purchased it after my wedding she said, Well you only have a week or two from your purchase it. She then went on to quote around $70 this time. We decided to bite the bullet so I could wear my ring again.
Long story short, they had a great sale but their customer service sucks. Not once were we apologized to saying sorry they told you wrong or our policy has changed. Very disappointed with them and regret that we have to keep going back to them to get it cleaned which is 4 hours away.
Oh another one. Once when we took it to get it cleaned I noticed one of the prongs was crooked and the diamond was a little loose, the lady said it was fine and cleaned it quick. Well the next day my main diamond was spinning in the prongs so we took it back and they decided to actually fix it this time. So I don t have great confidence in their repair work either and it was rather poor quality as my ring looked like it had gotten beat up when they finished with it.
